Ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you that I have great maternal instincts. That may be what makes me a good teacher. I treat all my children (yes, they are mine for a majority of the year) as though they are my own. They are sweet, frustrating, passionate, and annoying all at the same time, and that's why I love them so much. Some of them even call me "Mom" either on purpose or on accident. Every time they do, it warms my heart and brings me such joy.

I tried (and failed) to conceive a child for almost a decade. I finally came to terms with that, and decided to pour all my desires to create life into my writing. The result of all that passion was my play Basic Glitch, which premiered in 2019 at the Broadway Bound Theatre Festival. I was invited to do an Encore! performance of Basic Glitch for the 2022 Broadway Bound Theatre Festival and I am so excited to explore this world once again.

I may never have children of my own, but I can still find joy in creations, whatever they may be. You can increase my joy too by donating to the Basic Glitch Indiegogo Campaign. Theatre History Thursday. Better late than never. There’s a journal entry in The William and Mary Quarterly from July 1948 by Robert H Land called The First Wlliamsburg Theatre. Well, early American theatre did not take off as quickly as 18th century Europe. Have you been to Colonial Williamsburg? It was a favorite place to visit when the firstborn was younger. It would be cool to see if there’s any sign of it now.
