More Descendants Theatre Kid Headcanons:

Mal: Mal didn’t really want to get into it, but saw how much Ben enjoys it and decided that she would try it out. Turns out she’s an insane triple threat and started taking the leads from Audrey.

Evie: Evie can SING. She’s a good actor too, but prefers taking on smaller roles and focuses on costuming and tech with Doug. Would 100% be Fantine in Les Mis.

Jay: Can’t sing the greatest, still does theatre though and genuinely is just there for the core four and Lonnie. Would either be Kurt or Ram in Heathers.

Carlos: 100% does Theatre but only gets cast as the children. When he found out they were doing Oliver! He was PUMPED to finally be the lead, also alternatively is heavily involved in tech.

Uma: Says she hates theatre, still does it. Can theoretically sing and act really well just doesn’t enjoy it and is more than fine to hang behind in the background, playing pranks on the lead of course.

Harry: Complete and utter theatre kid who loves, and I mean LOVES, doing stage makeup and everything. Usually is stuck as the villains/male side characters but wants to be a lead BADLY.

Gil: Is just there for the ride. But also builds sets and props and is scary good at it. Does anyone know how he got these skills? No. Do they question it? No because the sets look amazing.

“Move.” Ellie grunts, making way through the small crowd of people huddled around a bulletin board, searching for the answer they all been anticipating for weeks, same as Ellie. Though the coach told her she had nothing to worry about, it didn’t ease the nerves. They always lingered about, bruising her ego.

When she got to the front, eyes immediately went to the E’s. Her nerves only grew at the mumbled curses of other participants who didn’t get their desires fulfilled.

“Cmon, cmon..” Her eyebrows furrow, lips pursed as her eyes roam down the rows of names, none starting with an ‘E’ and ending with an ‘R’. She had tried for the infamous role in Romeo and Juliet, ignoring the obvious problem. “Holy fuck!” she exclaims, eyes widening at the unexpected.

“I got it.” Ellie fesses, watching Dina’s face lights up at the news, and with a scoff, says. “Well whatcha look at that? I told you. Now, you got some bud leftover? Let’s celebrate.” she shoots a smile, leaning off the wall, and begins to walk away when, as if on cue a degrading voice booms behind.

"How the fuck did Ellie get the role of Romeo? She's not even a guy!" came the obnoxious voice of Thomas, the annoying guy who also tried out for the role of Romeo and had been dogging on Ellie since word broke out about her choice. Some heads in the hallway instinctively turned towards the source of the noise, wondering what this moron was on about now.

“Yet, who got the role?” she remarks, a smirk appearing on her lips his dumbfounded look.

I just love how we find breadcrums - I went on a comment section on a DPS post and a comment by SonjaToastbrot led me to this trailer. If you're on tiktok (I am extremely confused as to whether it is back) and Instagram does have reels of the French production which looks FANTASTIC - But this is a trailer of the German production - Hope this is helpful

Hello there! I'm an excited theatre kid who was recently cast as Ricky Potts from the musical Ride The Cyclone, the others being friends and soon-to-be-friends! I'm super thrilled for this and want to document my journey somewhere, which I will do here!
