Chapter 0: Prologue - Before the Events in Noir City...

Location: Noir City

Date: September 23, 1929

On a beautiful Wednesday morning, there was once a boy, born with a special gift inside of him, but was hated and disgusted by everyone around him as he is not just born part human, but he is also part toon from the old black and white cartoons that provided rubberhose comedy to both younger and older audience to the world.

The boy's name is Y/n, and he was a 7-year-old, born with an interesting feature as he can morph his ears to look like 3 iconic cartoon characters such as Mickey Mouse, Oswald the Lucky the Rabbit and Felix the Cat and he can also do a bit of cartoon-like physics in the real world like how they did in the cartoons on TV.

However, he was sent to the orphanage by his own biological parents because they both do not appreciate their own son's special gifts as a human/toon hybrid, and they had no other choice, but to leave him at the orphanage to avoid leaving him in the streets and get arrested for child neglect and abuse.

Staying at the orphanage wasn't the best life for Y/n either as he is constantly picked on by the other orphaned kids and the caretakers as he only sleeps in an empty closet with no pillow and a blanket that can barely keep him warm. As for the food, they only served him gruel (better known as Imitation Gruel, 9 out of 10 orphans can't tell the difference and Y/n was the tenth orphan) and tap water to drink and the caretakers forced him to do all of the chores around the orphanage, not caring how sick and tired that Y/n will be after working day and night doing nothing, but chores and getting picked on by the kids at the orphanage for his toon-like appearance.

Then one night, Y/n decided that he had enough of being tortured and a slave to them as he came up with a plan to make his escape from the orphanage, which took him 2 long and grueling weeks of backbreaking work of chores, dealing with the cruel and abusive pranks and beating from the other kids and all gruel and tap water diet to make his plan work without anyone at the orphanage knowing about his escape plan to freedom.

He waited for everyone to go to sleep before he put his plan into action as he managed to shift his hand into a make-shift key to unlock the door, use the towels that he stole from the laundry room as a rope to climb down through the window at the playroom after stuffing them all into the floorboards in his room and thanks to his power and knowledge of cartoon-physics to sneak his way to the window, tied the rope to the nearby heater next to the window and climbed his way down to the ground, before running away from his prison that he called "home" to freedom.

By the time that everyone at the orphanage woke up the next morning, they soon found out that Y/n had escaped through the window and the caretakers tried to call the police to go find Y/n and bring him back to the orphanage so they can give him the worst punishment of his entire life. But unfortunately for them, the police don't seem to believe to whatever the caretakers are talking about when they explained about Y/n's appearance as a half human and half toon hybrid and decided to just ignore the case and not go through an investigation to find Y/n and instead gives the caretakers a warning not to call them again and gave them a ticket for wasting their time.

So far, after Y/n made his great escape from the orphanage, he tried his best to go through his life without anyone to take care of him or love him as he always had a hard time to find a good meal to keep him from starving to death and he is currently living in an old, abandoned house and has to sleep in an old mattress with the same blanket that he took from the orphanage after he escaped that night. 

As the night rolls by with Y/n laying on his mattress, he tried his best to get some sleep, but couldn't sleep a wink after all of the hell that he had to deal with since he was brought into the world by his own parents as the guilt ridden, and overly depressed boy stayed up all night until exhaustion had taken over him as he went into a deep, peaceful slumber.

By the time that Y/n had woken up from his deep slumber, he was quick to realize that the old house he is in was abnormally silent, no birds were chirping, no sounds of cars passing by...

Just pure.....

SILENCE....

So, he rushed outside as quick as he could, realizing there was no one around him in sight, but only an empty street and a depressing gray sky, Y/n had begun to walk far down the street to clear his head from all of the bad things that happened to him over the years. But as Y/n continued walking down the empty dark street, it always seems to be heading into the same place as if it were looping over and over again...

As time passes, he grew more hopeless and depressed as kept walking down the same, empty street over and over again as it all felt like a really bad dream. Y/n tried to figure out ways to calm himself down and even almost tried to end his own life many times, but despite his efforts, he just couldn't escape from this horrible nightmare.

For three whole months since Y/n has been trapped here in this never-ending nightmare, his sanity had begun to decrease...

The isolation...

The loneliness...

He just couldn't handle it anymore...

Until Y/n suddenly bumped into someone in front of him as he fell down on the pavement before looking up to see someone that he never thought he would meet in these streets...

It was none other than Mickey Mouse himself and Y/n was both shocked and surprised to see one of his favorite idols from the cartoons on TV as Mickey examined Y/n with such curiosity and interest to find a young boy like Y/n to have mouse like ears like his and suddenly he felt something inside of him that he hadn't felt for a long, long time...

Happiness...

He then smiled at the boy and decided to ask him why he was walking down the street alone late at night as the boy began explaining everything to Mickey about all the bad things that had happened to him ever since he was born, which his parents left him at the orphanage and made an escape during the night that led him to where he is right now.

Mickey was shocked to hear every single word from Y/n and felt sympathy for the boy as he shouldn't be treated like garbage just because of his toon like appearance. The cartoon mouse blamed on the people and his parents for every bad things that they've done to Y/n.

Then Mickey had an idea that could work for both of them as he decides to take in the boy as his own son, so he can no longer have to deal with anymore abuse and neglect ever again.

But suddenly, Y/n was already feeling tired after walking for 3 whole months as he fell down to the pavement from exhaustion, but Mickey managed to catch him before he could hit the pavement as he started holding the boy in his arms while rubbing his gloved hand on his snow white hair that made his own tail and mouse ears twitch from Mickey's gentle rub on his head as Y/n soon went out like a candle and goes into a peaceful slumber in Mickey's arms.

This has already made Mickey feel more happy than ever before as he walked all the way back to his house with a smile on his face as he already has some plans for Y/n when they get back home.

However, this was only just the beginning of a nightmare of no return as Mickey is unaware of some other toons like him will try to take the boy from him and keep him for themselves because the boy was just too perfect for them to let go as he is now known....as The Perfect Child.

What will this child do in the world filled with shattered hopes and dreams, surrounded by his favorite toons that wanted to keep him as their own child to take care of?

Holly was on Aesop's Falls, she lived there all of her life till she became 20. At 23 of age, she moved down to the Inkwell Isles to discover more magic beyond just runes. Yes, she liked runes and magic. She was a well known sorceress in her home town, a cheerful, ambitious, sweet yet silly witch. She was kind to help people by making potions, using runes and her knowledge. They say she was the smaertest of the smart, but she shoved those comments away since she's aware she isn't the only one exposed to magic.

A thought came to her, what if she went around the world?

At the age of 20 she became an official archeologist, she wanted to uncover more of magic mysteries.

She went to the Disney Kingdom where she uncovered some magic mysteries and met great people like the iconic knights, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck. She also encountered a rogue knight, Oswald the Unlucky Rabbit, previously known as the Lucky Rabbit in his golden years of service. He was mysterious and the only thing for this is because his wife dies from monsters while he was on a mission and his fellow knights didn't protect her, according to the gossips.

She then went to the Loonyville where she met Bugs Bunny and his gang. They were quite zany. It was also a coincidence that Felix the Cat Adventurer--from Toon Town--was there, a fellow archeologist and a great writer. They have been good friends and Holly is still in touch with him even as she is now on the Dish Kingdom.

And then her last destination before residing in the aforementioned kingdom, Islang Liwayway, or Dawn Island. She ventured there and saw a mysterious small gear. It glowed of yellow. She became enchanted to it and kept it in her collection.

Then the Dish Kingdom, she erected a store here, the Enchanted store. Selling potions, food, weapons, rune spells on paper and displaying her collection. She has a cauldron where she used to make potions.

The people residing the kingdom were delighted by her, however as nights came, a problem bloomed. They always saw a woman flying and laughing. Taunting and threatening at them. It terrorized them that they wanted the knights to obliterate the witch, but they couldn't.

She was too powerful. Witnesses who looked at her close, eye to eye, said that she looked like Holly, she had a dark purple dress, rides on a broom, controls runes and a glowing cog on her neck. She also has her sclera black and her eyes glowing yellow orange, just like the cog. She would wave off green magic on her hand and snatch off souls of nearby victims.

Some people tried to defend Holly who was unaware of what happens during the night.

She also happened to find a certain dish knight appealing, that specific knight had a red cape and pants, red striped straw and ruby eyes. That's another reason for her to stay aside from the magic and mystery the kingdom held.

Until now, the mystery of the witch is left unresolved, she also claimed to be Mayhem, the Witch of Distress.

3. Which iconic bff duo are they?

felix: i am having trouble of thinking of a pair that could just carry that MAYHEM. lilo and stitch?

tina: these two are chaotic too, but it’s less !!! in a sense. and more borne of years -- they don’t always GET each other (tina is infinitely more sensitive than val and doesn’t always get val’s awkward humor) but when they do? wow! (i vary with how close i have, they werent terribly so in my first pt, but on my second im leaning toward the direction of close and growing closer). 

i can’t quite think of an “iconic” dynamic that fits that exactly. maybe jake and rosa from b99? (though tina is no rosa ertew lmao)

6. What was their first impressions of each other?

I’m goin solely with Felix and Val. We know Felix was open to flirt and looking to make a friend. Val thought Felix was hot and had fun energy, but they were also wary/a bit sus because the team was related to Rebecca and stepping on their insecurities toes.

23. Why are they bffs?

tina: proximity lmao. and tina’s relentlessness. but mostly because i see them as the type of ‘when they’re good, they’re very very good’. they’re both passionate about their work/they care about justice, they both enjoy having fun, they’re both short. there was no other choice but bonding. 

felix: they can match each other’s energy. val is going to show felix a whole new world (physically .... activities-wise, get your mind out the gutter). and felix is gonna show val much needed emotional / encouraging support (and adam insight). val also doesn’t have a lot of people that -- i dont know how to describe it, but that’s THEIRS. on their corner, and that discovery will be a lot. so im looking forward to felix havig that at their back, because i can see val being protective.  a mixture of pitbull and awkwardly supportive

ART ECOSYSTEMS (WEEK 12)

The work "Untitled (Perfect Lovers)" by Felix Gonzalez-Torres. A stack of two identical clocks, both set to the same time symbolises the artist's relationship with his partner, who died of AIDS. The fact that the two clocks will eventually become out of sync due to the batteries running out represents the inevitability of loss and separation. This piece not only demonstrates the personal connection between the artist and his subject matter but also highlights the way in which the art world responds to important social and political issues.

Another example of the art ecosystem can be seen in the work of Banksy, the street artist known for his politically charged stencils. His work often comments on issues such as capitalism, consumerism, and war. Before I say anything, I'd like to preface that I have nothing against RIIZE and they're very much deserving to work with Louis Vuitton. My thoughts as a j-school girlie with a minor in fashion business on this brand ambassadorship are just that: my thoughts.

So: Louis Vuitton tapped Riize to be their new brand ambassadors.

This ambassadorship makes sense. Not only are more and more fashion houses tapping Korean idols and celebrities as ambassadors for their brand, Riize aren't the first to be connected with LV. In August, Louis Vuitton tapped Stray Kids' Felix as an ambassador as well.

It's interesting that LV chose a new group like Riize then. They've only been on the music scene for four months. It's a smart move though. The current creative director of Louis Vuitton is Pharrell Williams, a music and fashion icon, and has stepped into the role less than a year ago. In a sense, both Riize and Pharrell Williams are 'rookies', if one wants to use K-pop terminology. They still need to prove themselves. A lot of eyes are on them. Their partnership makes sense.

(+ gaining brand awareness with very young people via Riize, who has a tween/teen audience in Korea? Super smart.)

However, this announcement (11/12/'23) happened about three weeks after Seunghan's hiatus was announced. Just three weeks. Making these boys LV's new ambassadors takes more than three weeks to organise. This ambassadorship has been in the works for longer than that.

Suddenly, Seunghan's hiatus becomes a lot bigger than just a small group of Korean fans being upset with his (very normal teenage) behaviour. It's likely Louis Vuitton were hesitant after the scandals began to pile up and perhaps said they wanted to pull out of the partnership.

At the end of the day, K-pop needs to make money. SM Entertainment wants to make money. That's not good or bad, it's just the way the world works. So, if removing Seunghan from the group makes them more money, then they'll do that.

I still hope Seunghan will return, but announcing such a big ambassadorship without him, is rather telling. I wouldn't be surprised if more events and partnerships are announced in the coming weeks and months.

Anyway, congratulations to the boys of Riize! I hope they're happy with their ambassadorship!

SURVEY RESULTS: THE OFFICIAL LESBIAN ICON OF INDYCAR

First of all I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to rate the Indycar grid. This year's voter turnout was much higher than the last time this survey was conducted, so I will consider that a W for the sport. More surveys along this nature are in the works so if you would like to participate in other fun Indycar surveys keep an eye out. This will be a lengthy report, so results are going under the cut to avoid clogging anyone's dash.

I will begin this report by explaining the methodology behind the Lesbian Icon Survey. Each driver was rated based on the vibes felt by each voter on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being homophobic and 10 being lesbian icon. Ratings were entirely subjective and participants were instructed to leave personal opinions on drivers at the door and focus solely on the vibes. Ratings were added up and averaged to generate the driver's Lesbian Approval Rating (LAR). LAR is measured between 1 and 10 where the closer the LAR is to 10 the more of a lesbian icon they are. Conversely, if LAR is closer to 1 the more assigned homophobic they are. The photos used are the official Indycar driver headshots, and this was done to implement a control variable and take away bias of the survey creator. (Though I did get complaints that the headshots did a lot of them dirty)

Survey participants were also asked two demographic questions to gauge viewership of lesbians and wlw indycar watchers. The results to those questions are as follows:

Now for the meat of the survey: the ratings. This year we had 29 participants who rated 33 drivers on a 1-10 scale as described above. Based on the received ratings, the calculated LAR of each driver is as follows:

Overall, we have an LAR range between the highest rating and the lowest rating of 6.86 LAR. The category with the highest number of drivers was 7.00 - 7.99 LAR with 10, followed by 6.00 - 6.99 with 9 and 4.00 - 4.99 with 9.

In conclusion, based on survey results there is a definitive Lesbian Icon in Tatiana Calderon in the Indycar series. On the opposite side of the scale, Santino Ferrucci was voted Most Assigned Homophobic driver. Runners up in the Lesbian Icon category are Colton Herta in second and Takuma Sato in third. Runners up in the Assigned Homophobic category are Christian Lundgaard and Conor Daly.

If I were to conduct this survey again in the future, there are several things I would change. First, I would make defining categories for the mid-points on the scale. Suggestions I received were 'supportive dad', and 'won't call you a slur but definitely in a frat'. Second, I would like to have results from a larger sample size however I recognize the overlap between lesbians/wlw and people who watch Indycar is not high. While responses are up from previous, the sample size is still too small to have an effective survey.

“No—no!” Felix whines, his face scrunching up into a disgruntled pout as he throws himself back against his chair.

“That was my bad,” Jeongin confesses sheepishly.

“This guy is ruthless,” Chan scoffs, his Discord icon lighting up in the top left corner of Felix's screen and the sound of his chair squeaking underneath his weight following.

“He’s not even giving us a chance,” Felix mutters.

His character had died, which led him to waiting for the resurrection cooldown to end. Felix had been watching Jeongin, Chan, and the two other random players constantly being barreled by the opponent’s strongest player.

“How are we losing with only one guy doing most of the damage?!” Jeongin whines loudly.

“I don’t know, Yeni,” Chan sighs. He sounds close to tears, which in truth, Felix feels that way as well. They had been on a painful losing streak for the past few hours and their motivation has slowly been fading away with every loss.

“This Jinniee dude is really determined huh,” Jeongin breathes out a laugh.

“He’s probably just very optimistic,” Chan mutters absentmindedly.

“Wait, hyung, don’t—” Felix barely has any time to warn the leader, watching as his character dies almost instantly before the enemy comes charging towards Felix’s character and killing him as well. “I don’t think we can win this,” he grumbles.

“I don’t know, Lix. Jinniee’s starting to do pretty well against the rest of the team—he’s managed to solo push out most of the map,” he points out. “We might actually be able to save this game.”

Felix feels so deflated. He doesn’t even feel like playing anymore, his form slumped tiredly in his leather gaming chair.

A pair of hands hold onto his shoulders, the action making him jump and rip his headphones off instantly.

“You don’t look so good,” you say softly when Felix whips his head around. “Bad game?”

“Terrible,” he sighs, not bothering to mute himself as he puts one side of his headphones back on to be able to hear both you and his friends.

“Is that (Y/n)?” Jeongin asks.

“Yeah, they’re watching now,” Felix answers. Both Chan and Jeongin greet you, the youngest coming off brighter than Chan, but Felix relays the greetings anyway.

“How bad is it?” you question. Felix’s fingers hit the ‘tab’ button on his keyboard and you bend down to look closer at the screen before gasping, “oh dear.”

“Yeah, it’s not going well,” he mumbles. His hands reach up to his face, fingers pinching his nose bridge in frustration.

“It’s okay, honey,” you coo while massaging his shoulders to ease his muscles.

“We’ve been on a losing streak for the entire day,” Felix grumbles. “This dude has showed up in the enemy team twice already and he’s not even giving us a chance.”

“Is there even a real strategy right now?” Jeongin asks defeatedly from his end.

“I don’t know, dude, I guess we just survive?” Chan sighs.

“I don’t think we’re winning this game, babe,” Felix confesses with a groan when he sees Jinniee die yet again.

“I have faith in you, Lixie,” you hum.

You watch the game go on, the timer in the top right corner starting to reach 45 minutes, which makes you wonder just how tired all of them must be. Most of Felix’s games usually only last about twenty minutes and you know how rare it is for games to go longer than even half an hour.

“I’m so tired, bro, bro!” Felix groans loudly, his words turning into a whine when he dies yet again. “Just give me a chance, dude!”

“No!” Chan whines shortly after, his cry heard by you through Felix’s loose side of his headphones.

“We’re so close, though! We can do it, guys!” Jeongin encourages.

You feel like you’re watching a devastatingly close game where if they lose one last fight, they’ll lose the game entirely.

“Lixie.”

“Yeah?” Felix cranes his head up to look at you and you lean down to press a soft kiss to his forehead, the touch doing wonders to his tired brain.

“You can do this.” Felix’s eyes glint at your words, his gaze on you so loving and filled with so much adoration. You run your hands through his hair and smile, “you’re so close, darling.” He blinks a few times as though he’s lost in a trance before he smiles.

You take a step back and he sits upright, pulling his headphones on properly.

“Let’s give this one last shot.”

The Laver Cup Makeover

The Laver Cup, a chance to see the best of Europe face the best that the rest of the world has to offer. Watch the best play the best. Exciting right? Who wouldn’t want to see Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal team up to take on the rest of the world? Who wouldn’t be interested in seeing the best players all at one event?

Er me?

Don’t get me wrong the first year in 2017 was very exciting! With Team Europe consisting of legends of the sport Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. Exciting youngsters Alexander Zverev and Dominic Thiem and seasoned pros in Marin Cilic and Tomas Berdych. To top all of that off they were captained by Swedish icon Bjorn Borg. And what about Team World? Well captained by the ever-lively John McEnroe they had a whole heap of American talent in John Isner, Sam Querrey, Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe. The Quartet were joined by the entertainer – Nick Kyrgios and up and coming Denis Shapovalov.

5 of the Worlds Top 10 in one place? Sign me up that sounds exhilarating! For the most part the matches were, most of them went to ranking but they were filled with high class points, and it was a fantastic showcase for the doubles where you got a ‘Fedal’ Team Up, thrilling stuff.

Team Europe won the event in 2017 (As you’d expect) 15 points to 9. While at the time it was very exciting, part of that was due to the newness of it all. You’ve got the best players in the world playing in one city in this ‘exclusive’ team event. However, did I mention that 5 of the Top 10 were all on one team? And given that I mentioned that Team Europe won the event can you take a wild stab at which team those 5 were on? Yeah…

What about 2018? Well Europe’s average world ranking was 7 and World’s was 19. Do you want to guess the winner? (Spoiler alert: Europe won 13-8). 2019 reads similarly, Europe average of 5 and World average of 57 (Jack Sock brings the average down by quite a bit, at the time he was ranked 210). Amazingly the 2019 edition was the closest yet with a notable upset being Jack Sock against Fabio Fognini. Furthermore 2 out of 3 of the doubles matches went to Team World. “Great it’s working then…why do we need a makeover?”

Well, you see we arrive in 2021 and as usual we have our teams and as per tradition Team Europe is packed with players in the Top 10. No Rafa or Roger or Novak but still 5 of the top 10 have snuck in. “Is this balanced out by some exciting lower ranked youngster being the sixth player?” Ah well, the sixth is an exciting youngster! Hooray! The Youngster just happens to be Casper Ruud who is currently ranked 11th in the world. “Oh.” Yeah…That gives us an average ranking of 6!

“Yeah, but you said only 5 of the top 10 are in Team Europe, what about Team World?”

They do have a top 10 player! They’ve got Denis Shapovalov who is ranked at 10! Yay! He’s also the only guy outside of ‘Europe’ ranked in the top 10.

“Wait why did you put ‘Europe’?”

Okay a question for you, dear reader, this time. Russia – Europe or Not? If you pop that question into Google, you end up with ‘Russia is a transcontinental country. 77% of Russia’s area is in Asia, the western 23% of the country is in Europe.’ (Source: nationsonline.org). I’m going to be honest; I have no idea what my answer to that question would be other than part of it is in Europe and part of it is not. The Laver Cup obviously considers the Russians as part of Europe as that is who Medvedev and Rublev are down to play for.

“That’s fine, isn’t it?”

Yep! Except this is where our make over begins! Move the Russians into Team World and you end up with 3 of the Top 10 in Team World and 3 of the Top 10 in Team Europe. Oh boy look at the balance! Now you’ll get exciting matches such as Daniil Medvedev against Stefanos Tsitsipas. World Number 2 against World Number 3. Not Medvedev against Isner for the fifteenth time…

Moving on! Hmm I think 3 top 10 players is okay for now, but we might come back to that…For now we’ll limit the teams to only being allowed three top 10 players. Now our teams look like this:

Stefanos Tsitsipas (3), Alexander Zverev (5), Matteo Berrettini (8) and Casper Ruud (11) for Team Europe. Two places to fill.

The ATP tour is all about the ‘Next Gen’ we’ve even got the Next Gen Finals that take place In Milan. How about we get some of those exciting Next Gen players in the Laver Cup? Start preparing our next superstars?

Well leading the race for Milan is Jannik Sinner, 20 years old, three titles to his name already (all won when he was 19), ranked 15 in the world, Incredible young talent. Oh, and he’s Italian so we’ll put him in Team Europe. After him is Auger-Aliassime who is already on Team World, so we move on to Sebastian Korda. American, 21 years old, 1 career title, ranking of 45. Let’s pop him in as the final member of Team World.

We have one place left in Team Europe. Would you like a Spanish guy or an Italian guy?

“Er got any more information?”

Sure! First up for your (well my…sorry you can have your say in the comments) consideration is Lorenzo Musetti of Italy. 19 years old, current ranking of 61 with a career high of 58, Reached the fourth round at the French Open this year, beat Diego Schwartzman in Acapulco earlier this year…Does that name ring a bell? Yeah, he’s on Team World!

“And the Spanish guy?”

Carlos Alcaraz, 18 years old and already has a title to his name with a career high ranking of 54, a third-round appearance at the French Open, no wins over the Top 10 yet but we’ll put that down to him being 18, shall we? Very exciting young player.

“I don’t have a say really?”

Nope so we’re going with Alcaraz because Team Europe is lacking in the Spanish department.

“We have our teams then great!”

Team Europe – Tsitsipas, Zverev, Berrettini, Ruud, Sinner and Alcaraz. Average ranking of 16.

Team World – Medvedev, Rublev, Shapovalov, Schwartzman, Auger-Aliassime and Korda. Average ranking of 15.

Oh, we are balanced! Look at that! Team World looking pretty good there, some tight matches, interesting doubles pairs. I’m fairly content with that but-

“Uh oh there’s a ‘but’”

Is Team World looking a bit…? North American? 3/6? I’m just saying that the other side of the globe is there…de Minaur? Nishikori? Kwon? Kyrgios? Ah we’ll leave it as it is for now. But there’s something up with Team Europe…A certain German…Let’s quietly remove him and bring in Pablo Carreno Busta. That does mess with the average ranking a little bit taking it down to 17. We could switch out Auger-Aliassime for Alex de Minaur bringing World’s average down to 16 but I don’t think a difference of two in average ranking is too much to be concerned about.

There we have our teams then. We don’t necessarily have star power like the Big 3 but we have 5 of the Top 10, an Olympic gold medallist, an Olympic bronze medallist and several entertaining youngsters. I suppose we could bring in the star power in some capacity…Bjorn Borg and Roger Federer as Co Captains? Agassi and McEnroe against them? I don’t know but we need some draw for the crowds that they’re going to get to see at least one of the Big 3.

I haven’t completely overhauled the teams, most players that are going to play in the actual Laver Cup have been included in my team lists but that is partly because Team World are yet to announce the rest of their team. I have a horrible feeling that it’ll be fleshed out with three Americans and Africa and Asia will once again be ignored. I’m not saying I fixed that by moving the Russians into Team World, but it would be nice if they could include Kei Nishikori or Yoshihito Nishioka from Japan or Lloyd Harris from South Africa. Personally, I’d also like it to be a mixed event with the best of the women’s tour coming to play but I think I might be asking for a bit much there.

I’ll leave you with my teams then:
