The redemption arcs seen on ML, such as the redemptions of Felix, Sabrina, Gabriel, Andre Bourgeois, Nathalie, and Gabriel, are somehow even worse than Mitsui’s redemption arc in Slam Dunk, and it seemed like he was only sorry because he was caught by his coach.
I don't know Slam Dunk.
ML doesn't do redemption arcs. A key component of a redemption arc is realizing you have been bad/harmful and making an effort to change.
The people mentioned don't do this.
What happens instead is that we the audience are given previously withheld information that shows us they have always been good. They might stop one specific behavior, or start a new one but they are all given the same treatment Marinette is given on an episodic basis.
For Marinette it works, because she is required to make a mistake per episode for plot. Therefor shrugging it off as 'woopsie I just goofed' is a lot more acceptable (although ML stretches this at times too)
Felix: I only slaughtered everyone in Paris because I don't know how to communicate!
Nathalie: I only actively encouraged Gabriel's villainy because I was trying to honor Emilie's wishes to do the exact opposite
André: I was only a corrupt politician for over a decade because of my wife across the ocean and my infant child.
You see how these are not the same as 'I got too nosy and invaded someone's personal space one time in middle school'?

Miraculous: Redemption and Validation
So, what makes Chloe (before the events of the Season 3 finale) and Felix all that different?
Both were born to wealth. Both were raised to be generally bad people. Both did bad things. Both strove to be better. Both are blond(e).
So why is Felix's abuse and trauma validated and redeemed, while Chloe's is dismissed? What is actually different about them?
Another character who functionally achieves "redemption and validation" is Gabriel. He goes on to whatever comes next to be with Emilie (if that wasn't her alongside Nathalie), and is remembered as a hero who gave his life to stop Monarch. But he tormented Paris for months, is directly responsible for the trauma of countless people, and even his decision to die (potentially) leaves Adrien as an orphan and conveniently lets him escape from the consequences of his actions.
Or how about Zoe? She's basically got half of Chloe's backstory due to the fact that they share a terrible mother. But she's "nice", so her experiences are validated.
Kagami? Also rich, also abused (albeit in a different way than Chloe is), also does some questionable stuff. But she's validated.
Marinette? There's an entire episode dedicated to validating her stalking tendencies!
Adrien? Vaguely validated, but the show often doesn't care enough to do more than a "he's sad because his dad sucks and his mom is dead" about it before moving on to something else.
The story does more to validate Jessica Keynes than it does to validate Chloe! And I bet half of the people reading this had to look up who that even is!
I think the culmination of this is Miraculous Paris, where we get some glimpses into a "reverse world", where Gabriel is a hero and ChatBug are the villains. What's weird is that while Shadybug and Claw Noir have their issues validated (which also turns them to the side of good), Shadynette turning issues and trauma is that she was tormented by Chloe.
This tells me two things.
Validating people's issues and trauma, and then helping them over come them is a way to help others become better people.
Chloe is apparently evil in every timeline, even the ones where we clearly see she was trying to be better.
It's almost like Chloe is unfairly singled out as being "irredeemable", even as the series preaches that understanding and validation can result in people overcoming their trauma, turning their lives around, and becoming some of your most trusted companions.

Lady and the Scoundrel - Chapter 12 - Change
Beginning || Previous || Next
Chloe sat in front of her mirror as she did her hair. She combed through it as she lost herself to her thoughts. Another week had gone by and the Scoundrel had made himself well known. Just about everyday he was out there causing some form of mischief. It often varied between petty destruction to the robberies he’d been assisting with. Though the police had informed her that the recent robberies weren’t as well organized as prior ones, like they were being rushed. It made her wonder that mixed with an ever-growing concern.
Chloe still remembered the look in the Scoundrel’s face. The immediate awe when he saw her had haunted her. She had tried to give it all the benefit of the doubt that the Scoundrel just wanted to see her again to be friends. That he wanted a connection, but the more she thought on it, the more she feared what it could actually mean. She feared that he had fallen for her.
Chloe’s hand faltered before she collected herself. She did her best to remind herself that this was just a fluke. That the Scoundrel wasn’t interested in her and that she was misreading the situation. She fought against the doubt that gnawed at her to tell herself that everything would be fine. She would catch this Scoundrel and she would cement herself as a hero once again.
Chloe put the brush down and grabbed a hair tie. She gathered her hair to put in a ponytail when she paused. She stared at herself in the mirror. Her hand slowly fell as she stared at the girl that was Chloe Bourgeois. The same Chloe Bourgeois that found a miraculous and made a misguided attempt to win Audrey’s love. The very same that got to fight alongside Ladybug and messed it all up. The same that was replaced by her half-sister because she lashed out and was horrible to everyone. The same that was sent to boarding school across the sea to be forgotten.
Chloe sighed as she let her hands fall. She watched her hair cascade down around her, loose and free. She looked down at her hair tie and tossed it aside. She got up and moved to her box of hair accessories. She dug through it when she stumbled upon a pair of hair clips that Sabrina had given her. She carefully took them out and cradled them.
Memories flooded Chloe that she allowed in. Sabrina gave her these hair clips as a present to celebrate their friendship. She sighed as she remembered how she dismissed them and commented how tacky they were. The memory stung, but she didn’t push it away. She closed her hand around them and held them to her heart. She would be better. Not just for those around her, but for herself. She didn’t want to be that Chloe anymore.
Chloe put those clips back and took out a pair that Memoria had gotten her. She pinned back the side of her hair to keep it out of her face. She inspected herself and gave a nod once she was satisfied. She headed out to the kitchen for lunch as she heard Felix’s footsteps behind her. She grimaced and took a deep breath.
“It’s rude to lurk,” Chloe said.
“Is it? I thought it polite to wait for you before heading to lunch,” Felix remarked.
“You don’t have to pretend to like me, Felix. Whatever Amelie may or may not have said to you.”
“I’m wounded, Chloe. Don’t you think I’d want to make an effort to be friendly with you?”
“Not without some ulterior motive, or that Amelie isn’t making you.”
Felix fell silent before he glanced at Chloe. “Your hair looks lovely.”
Chloe stopped and heel turned. “Ok, what’s gotten into you?”
            “What? I can’t compliment you?”
“Felix, you hated me. You never thought I could be anything more than that girl. You couldn’t even tolerate my presence. Now you’re trying to be nice. Now you’re giving me compliments. What happened to you?”
“Come now, Chloe. If you can change, why can’t I?”
“Because you never thought I could? Weren’t you listening?”
“I was, but my point stands. If you of all people can, why couldn’t i?”
            Chloe eyed Felix suspiciously.
Felix smiled and held out a hand. Chloe looked down at it and saw a familiar ring she had seen on Chat Noir. She narrowed her eyes as she looked back up at his face.
            “Shall we continue?”
Chloe held her head high as she turned and continued on her own. She was conscious of Felix close behind her but paid him no further mind when her mind swirled. Thoughts mingled with her existing fear as she fought to keep down the signs. The sudden kindness from Felix following her first encounter with Scoundrel, the increased activity from him, and Chat Noir’s ring on him. The realization hit her hard and fast even as she tried to deny it.
Felix had to be the Scoundrel, and the Scoundrel was in love with the Lady.

You know,I think it's interesting that the only character who had a "redemption arc" in the show was Nathalie of all people.
Tumblr media
Gabriel was a selfish bastard right to the end. His last act was using Marinette’s guilt and love for Adrien to his advantage and making the wish he wanted. Sure, he's dead, but he didn't want to live without Emilie anyway.
Felix never actually made amends for everything he did. His goal was always to take down Gabriel. I guess it's true what they say, the enemy of my enemy is, well, maybe not a friend, but an ally.
Nathalie is the only person who turned against Gabriel when she saw what a monster he was. The only one who took a look at her actions and decided "No, this is wrong. I won't be a part of this any longer."
She could have done better, but I guess she wasn't thinking clearly enough for the logical way out. She was dying and living with her abuser after all. That doesn't make for a good environment for rational thinking.
So, yeah. The only one who really redeemed herself is the woman whose name literally means "heartless" funny world we live in, hu?

It just hit me - assuming things don’t change in the following season, what was done with Felix Fathom in Miraculous Ladybug’s 5th season is what many Lotor stans wanted to transpire with Lotor in Voltron: Legendary Defender. While not lacking in nuance, Felix and Lotor were both firmly established as arrogant, scheming, manipulative villains with a pronounced cruel streak. Now, Lotor carried on like this until all of a sudden he joined the heroes’ side. And while he consistently did the right thing from this point, we missed the crucial step of him ever truly repenting of his previous wrong-doings. In fact, he justified them, saying it was for the greater good in stopping his abusive father’s empire. The heroes just ended up rolling with it, and Lotor even got a girlfriend in Allura, and his stans were perfectly satisfied with this. “He’s a poor sad victim of abuse, so he was justified in all that villainy we saw him do! Let him have this redemption even if the first step to having a redemption at all is non-existent on his part!” Needless to say, they were shocked and remain furious when it was revealed that Lotor, having excused all his evil-doing and been given a free pass for it, was still in fact doing evil in secret and hadn’t redeemed himself at all. WOW! The guy who never grasped or acknowledged why what he did was wrong is still doing wrong because he still thinks what he’s doing is right!? Who’da thunk!? Besides everyone paying attention, that is!
Felix in Season 5 of Miraculous reached the culmination of his villainy when, as the supervillain Argos, he pulled a Thanos and began snapping humanity out of existence so that sentimonsters like him, Adrien and Kagami could live without risk of being controlled or destroyed. Cool motive, still mass murder. He only reverses it after Adrien and Kagami make it clear that it’s not what they want and that they will never forgive him unless he reverses it. Then, in the following episode, he shows no remorse for what he did or sincere desire to atone, but instead just tells Kagami he’s fallen in love with her and reveals his backstory of his father’s abuse of him and how that shaped his view on humanity. Accepting this as a justification rather than an explanation, Kagami deems Felix to have been “misjudged”, returns his affection, and gets him as Argos to be accepted as part of the Miraculous superhero team, which Marinette bafflingly accepts even though Felix’s treachery is the only reason Gabriel became the Monarch to begin with and caused her no end of mental and emotional anguish....to say nothing of the fact that, again, Felix is fresh off of committing momentary genocide on the human race. All of that just gets swept under the rug completely.
It’s so bizarre that the same show that draws such a firm stance on “being a poor sad victim of abuse doesn’t automatically entitle you to a redemption, it has to be properly earned” in regards to Chloe totally walks it back with Felix. Then again, it is Thomas Astruc we’re talking about, so I guess it’s not so bizarre after all. Makes me appreciate Lotor all the more, though!

(Stammering Adrien AU)
A very powerful Akuma steals the all Miraculouses (except for the Ladybug, Cat, and Peacock Miraculouses) and take them to Hawkmoth. (Prompts to Season 4 and Season 5)
The worst had happened. Pack Leader and his gang of Biker Wolves had gotten the drop on most of the Guardians. All but Ladybug, Chat Noir, and Argos were now pinned to the ground, face down. Pack Leader chuckled as he looked at his watch.
"Midnight. Perfect timing," he said. "Halloween's over, kiddies. Time to see those cute little faces of yours, and..."
Just then, the crash of a breaking window filled the air, followed by a hideous screech.
"What the heck is that thing?!" said one Biker Wolf.
Every able eye looked up to see a huge, hideous bat-like creature, screeching as it flapped its massive wings. However, this view was short-lived. A shadowy substance rolled out of the beast's maw like a fog, making the entire room pitch black.
"No!"Hawkmoth shouted from his lair. "Someone stop that thing! I must see their faces!"
But before anything could be done, it was too late. The dark fog lifted, and with it went the beast and the young heroes.
"What are you idiots waiting for?!" Pack Leader barked. "Go! Find them!"
"Leave them, Pack Leader," said Hawkmoth. "A small price to pay for the real reward. Now get over here with my Miraculouses."
The coast was clear. The beast growled softly as it landed on a nearby roof, and opened up its wings, revealing a portal to a dark void. And from that void fell the unmasked heroes.
"Ugh! My head," said Kim.
"Where are we?" Alya asked. "What happened?"
Each teen was plagued by dizziness and disorientation. As they worked to get up on their feet, Ladybug, Chat, and Argos made the scene.
"Good job, Shroud," said Argos to the beast.
"Are you guys okay?" Ladybug asked.
Not one of them could answer. None of them could even look their leader in the eye, and not a word was spoken, leaving only the deafening sound of silence, and the agonizing sensation of shame.
"We failed," said Nino. "The whole world was counting on us, and we failed."
"I couldn't feel lower if I crawled into an 80-meter hole, "said Alix.
"A catastrophe," said Chloe. "An utter catastrophe. And it's all our fault."
These and other admissions of guilt and despair continued to leave the lips of each fallen hero. That is until Sabrina spoke up.
"Enough!"
Silence once more. Every head on that rooftop turned the young ginger.
"I didn't spend all this time keeping secrets, staying up way too late, and scrambling around in a doggy suit just to give up the second I got my butt kicked, and I definitely didn't do it just for us to throw a pity party."
Inspired by her red-haired, freckled-faced peer, Ladybug stepped up and spoke up.
"Sabrina is right," she said. "We're not going to stop Hawkmoth by sitting here and pouting. It may look hopeless now, but there were plenty of times Chat and I felt that way too, but we pulled through, and I know all of you will too. One way or another, we'll beat Hawkmoth and get your Miraculouses back to you."
"Back to us?" Kagami asked. "But we failed."
Chat stepped up. "This one time. But I have seen you guys in action. And even at your lowest, you managed to pick yourselves up, and help save the day."
"And even if we did screw up, we're all guardians now. We have to fight until we can't fight anymore. Chat and I will get you your Miraculouses back. And when we do, it'll be time to kick some bad guy booty again."
A fire sparked in the belly of each young guardian, and they cheered. They knew their leader would not let them down. One way or another, they would all be heroes again.

You perfectly nailed why among all the antagonists we've seen so far in Miraculous, Felix is one of the most redeemable in my eyes, the other being Nathalie, because those two actually started to change for the better in this season 5 after realizing the harm they've done to a loved one.
And it's the very opposite of Gabriel, Lila and Chloé, the three of them only becoming worse and more monstruous than they've ever been before in the previous seasons.
Gabriel is only pretending to try to be a better father to Adrien, and the part 1 of kwami's choice showed that very well, and the following episodes after this will show us only more prooves about how uncaring for his son's free will and hapiness Gabriel truly is, and how willing and motivated he and Tomoe are to hurt innocents to get what they want. Just like Chloé and Lila.
Perfection already showed us how crazy obessed Lila is with ruining Marinette's life for petty reasons, and those who've read the leaks know she's gonna do way worse later. And those who followed the leaks about Derison and Revolution will know how proud of hurting others Chloé is, how much she enjoys it, and how little she ever truly cared about Adrien.
I think I’ve finally gotten my thoughts together about Felix.
Tumblr media
People have genuine things to hate about him: in his debut episode he lied to Adrien, impersonated him to destroy his relationships with his friends and classmates, tried to force kisses on Marinette (as Ladybug) WITHOUT CONSENT, and stole from Gabriel with a sinister smirk. He did apologize to Adrien and promised to be better, but when that smirk was revealed it seemed like another lie.
Tumblr media
Then, in Season 4, we got to see just a bit more of him. He was incredibly intelligent and cold towards others (he actively insulted Chloe, but he already knew her and didn’t like her). HOWRVER, one thing he didn’t do this time was try to manipulate Kagami, Adrien’s other friend. Granted he was more focused on ShadowMoth/Gabriel. But another thing: HE REJECTED AN OFFER OF POWER from ShadowMoth. That isn’t something to take lightly. Unlike other villains who would’ve happily taken the power (I.e. Chloe and Lila), he outright REFUSED and broke control. Then, he came back in the finale to get info on Gabriel while telling Adrien he would take his place on the tour. But here’s the thing: after he found the secret of Emelie, he didn’t just abandon his deal with Adrien. Even after Adrien said he was gonna follow through with the deal he made with his father and go on tour. Instead, Félix still stayed in his place, probably in his kind to free up his cousin and gave him he happy, or now. He could have just been using it to get away from Gabriel and make sure he was far enough away with the Peacock Miraculous he believed he had stolen, but he still honored his deal with his cousin and kept up the charade. But again, we don’t really know.
Tumblr media
Then, he betrayed Ladybug after he gave her the dog miraculous, and exchanged all her miraculous for the real Peacock for reasons we still didn’t know
Tumblr media
But now, we’re learning more. In Emotion, he did kidnap Adrien and lie to Kagami. But again, he didn’t try to destroy Adrien’s relationship with her this time. In fact, he bonded with her (after realizing she’s probably a sentimonster too). Then, when Marinette comes and gives him a genuine confession and kind, supportive words, we see ACTUAL GROWTH. Remember, Félix saw the video of a Marinette saying she loved Adrien in his debut episode, and he hated her. But this time, instead, he didn’t try to make Adrien a bad guy. Even if he was acting, it seemed like he was genuinely happy with Marinette. Cause her words may have also gotten to him. He’s already been spying on their date, and I’m guessing he may have still had doubts about her being genuine. But her showing up at the dance changed that (at least in my mind).
Tumblr media
Remember, in her speech, she said not only she loved Adrien, but she understood why he didn’t tell her about the dance, that she wasn’t mad, that he was going through a hard time, and that she was proud of him anyways for doing the best he could. And to him, that must’ve been something. He saw that unlike every other person he’s seen Adrien interact with (his father, his fans, Lila, Chloe), this girl seemed to genuinely care about Adrien’s happiness and for him as a person, not just some idol or prize or tool. Please note this time he didn’t try to sexually assault her or make any undue advances towards her either, although that can be argued since she thought he was Adrien. So, when he danced with her, and she called herself a monster (in regards to the other prissy rich kids staring in horror), he got angry. Because he saw one of the only genuinely good people he knew (aside from Adrien and his own Mother) beat themselves up cause of others prejudice.
Tumblr media
Also, keep in mind, he transformed only after Chloe ATTACKED Marinette. Sure, it was a distraction to take advantage of, but I see it as also seeing the perfect moment to protect someone good and enact his plan to save Adrien and himself. Cause after he snapped everyone except Kagami away (cause he bonded with her and saw she was like him), he brought Marinette away to a place she’d be safe from his powers. A place where no light from his Red Moon sister would touch her, so she wouldn’t be at risk. He wasn’t just dumping her to get her out of the way. He could’ve just snapped her away and brought her back if he wanted to do that. BUT HE DIDNT.
Then, after confronting Ladybug and snapping her away and bringing back Kagami and Adrien, he reveals his desire to free himself and Adrien, and now Kagami, of their controllers and oppressors, to just make a world where they would be happy and free. And he knew Adrien wouldn’t be happy on this world without Marinette, that’s ANOTHER reason he protected her. He wanted Adrien to be happy AND saw she was a good person.
Tumblr media
When he shows Adrien this to make her happy, and sees she isn’t there and his power to bring her back isn’t working, he genuinely starts to panic and apologize. When Kagami and Adrien demand they bring her back, he agrees WITHIUT HESITATION and doesn’t argue his mistake. He thought his powers hurt one of the people he car s about most, his Cousin and probably senti-sibling. When he sees the three of them reunite in relief, he looks genuinely guilty and worried.
Another thing to note: Félix regards his non-humanoid sentimonster as any other living being, speaking to it as it understands him. Mayura and Gabriel NEVER did that. Just saw them as mindless tools. He doesnt. He speaks to her as a person, despite that she can’t speak at all, nor has a face, or a discernible personality. And when he releases her from existence, he apologizes because he shouldn’t have created her with so much hate and used her powers to hurt people he cared about. He cried not only for her, but what he had done to hurt his cousin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the end of the episode, his mother confirms what his thoughts were at the beginning of the episode: that everyone except Adrien were just cruel monsters who didn’t care or weren’t good. But now, he’s taking back his stance on that. His feelings have changed. Not only is there another senti-being he can relate to now, but there’s a normal girl whom is so kind and genuine and makes her cousin happy. He now sees there are good people in the world other than his mom and cousin, and he doesn’t want to hurt them.
Tumblr media
So yes, in the beginning he was an AWFUL person. I’m not going to excuse his actions in earlier seasons at all. But here’s the thing about him (and I’m not using this as an excuse, I’m going to use it as a reference guide): he’s a child. He’s a damaged, grieving, super intelligent but emotionally immature child. This does NOT excuse what he did in his debut episode AT ALL, but it does remind us of something: as children grow, they learn. And as they learn, THEY CAN CHANGE. And Félix seems to be doing that every time we see him. Sometimes those changes are good (I.e. rejecting HawkMoth’s powers, apologizing to Adrien) and sometimes they’re bad (I.e. betraying Ladybug). But he seems to be learning every time we see him.
So, is he a good guy or a bad guy? I think he’s a damaged kid who wants what’s best for those he lives and doesn’t know how to do it right. I think he was cruel and hurtful and cold and closed off, but now he’s learning other ways to be better.
The world is full of greys. Nothing is just as simple as hero and villain most of the time. I think that’s what Félix represents.

requested by elthiansangel @ wattpad do one where Marinette sings No Tears Left to cry from Ariana Grande during the Diamonds' Dance from season 5 episode 18? For Felinette & Lukadrien, Chlogami. Luka and Adrien won't show but they show in part two.
During the Diamonds' Dance that is hosted by Gabriel Agreste... Marinette had a way to enter while there is Felix Fathom walking inside the gala dressed as Adrien but Kagami can tell who it is. Chloe had found out about her sexuality which is lesbian and she has hots towards Kagami but to her she can see Kagami with Felix which caused her to scowl in annoyanced of jealousy then she also see Dupain-Cheng.
What is Dupain-Cheng doing here? How did she get here though? Chloe thought to herself then knows that she wanted to see Adrien. Marinette goes as Cheng Liling which is her birth name as she was told by Zoe to come her since she was the one that invited her.
"Who invited Dupain-Cheng?" Chloe asked. "Oh, I did." Zoe told her sister as Chloe stared at her half-sister in shock as Zoe explain her part when dragging Marinette. Kagami can see Chloe on the other side then glanced at Felix who is staring at Marihime.
youtube
Then Prince Ali came with his assistant and recongize the girl right away it was Cheng Liling the famous singer from China before she decided to stay in Paris with her parents. Then the DJ came to Marinette if she wish to sing as she nodded and went to the stage and sat on the table next to where the DJ person play the music. Then she started to open her mouth to sing,
Right now, I'm in a state of mind I wanna be in, like, all the time Ain't got no tears left to cry So I'm pickin' it up, pickin' it up I'm lovin', I'm livin' (Oh hey), I'm pickin' it up I'm pickin' it up, pickin' it up (Yeah) I'm lovin', I'm livin', I'm pickin' it up (Oh, yeah)
I'm pickin' it up (Yeah), pickin' it up (Yeah) Lovin', I'm livin', so we're turnin' up (We're turnin' it up) Yeah, we're turnin' it up Ain't got no tears in my body I ran out, but boy, I like it, I like it, I like it Don't matter how, what, where, who tries it We're out here vibin', we vibin', we vibin' Comin' out, even when it's rainin' down Can't stop now, can't stop so shut your mouth Shut your mouth, and if you don't know Then now you know it, babe Know it, babe, yeah
Right now, I'm in a state of mind I wanna be in, like, all the time Ain't got no tears left to cry So I'm pickin' it up, pickin' it up (Oh yeah) I'm lovin', I'm livin', I'm pickin' it up Oh, I just want you to come with me (Ooh) We're on another mentality Ain't got no tears left to cry (To cry) So I'm pickin' it up, pickin' it up (Oh yeah) I'm lovin', I'm livin', I'm pickin' it up (Oh)
Chloe jaw dropped immeditately with Zoe, Kagami, and lastly Felix who was surprised by that powerful voice from Dupain-Cheng. They didn't know she can sing like that. As Prince Ali was excited. Not just them but the adults were actually surprised that Ms. Dupain-Cheng can sing much better than Clara and Jagged. That is when Chloe had her phone out recording this from the start.
Pickin' it up (Yeah), pickin' it up (Yeah) Lovin', I'm livin', so we're turnin' up (We're turnin' it up) Yeah, we're turnin' it up They point out the colors in you, I see 'em too And, boy, I like 'em, I like 'em, I like 'em We're way too fly to partake in all this hate We're out here vibin', we're vibin', we're vibin' Comin' out, even when it's rainin' down Can't stop now, can't stop, so shut your mouth Shut your mouth, and if you don't know Then now you know it, babe Know it, babe, yeah
As Marinette got off as she sang through her heart as she walk around the area she can move her arms and legs around from getting her legs to be asleep.
Right now, I'm in a state of mind I wanna be in, like, all the time Ain't got no tears left to cry So I'm pickin' it up, pickin' it up (Oh yeah) I'm lovin', I'm livin', I'm pickin' it up Oh, I just want you to come with me (Ooh) We're on another mentality Ain't got no tears left to cry (To cry) So I'm pickin' it up, pickin' it up (Oh yeah) I'm lovin', I'm livin', I'm pickin' it up
Comin' out, even when it's rainin' down Can't stop now (Hmm, oh) Shut your mouth Ain't got no tears left to cry Oh-yeah, oh, yeah Oh, I just want you to come with me (Me) We're on another mentality Ain't got no tears left to cry (Cry) So I'm pickin' it up (Yeah), pickin' it up (Oh, yeah) I'm lovin', I'm livin', I'm pickin' it up (Pickin' it up) Pickin' it up (Hmm), pickin' it up (Hmm) Lovin', I'm livin', so we're turnin' up (Hmm) Yeah, we're turnin' it up
As she went up to Felix but she purred against him causing him to blush instantly as Chloe looked at this adoration but can't wait to use this as a blackmail against Felix for this. "Well that is new.. can't wait to rub this against Cesaire. Who had the audacity to pressure Dupain-Cheng with Adrien?" As she snicker at this scene.
Chloe gotta admit its a very cute between Feilikins and Dupain-Cheng. But when she sees Adrien with Marinette they look like a plantoic sibling figure relationship is what she thinks unlike Cesaire who doesn't see the picture but too blind and forced Marinette and Adrien to get her ship sailed.
Kagami find it cute but also adorable between Felix and Marinette since Marihime is obilivous with what she just did. Felix looked away blushing or perhaps hiding his blush. Zoe just squeal at the adoration between the two.
"You I think I should take your mother's offer as the Fashion Designer.." Marinette told to Chloe that got really excited and immediately grabbed her arm to her mother and told her the greatest news that would bring Gabriel and his company crumble to dust while Kagami and Zoe teases Felix about Marinette.

Do you think Felix will get Chloe'd in S6 if the writers decide to make him a villain again ? We know he never faced consequences for what he did in Strike Back so what is stopping him from doing it again? He know's the secret about Gabriel and LB's identity so he could use those 2 pieces of information to blackmail LB into preventing her from taking his Miraculous. How do you think the Felix Stans will react to Felix's redemption being reversed ?
There is a high chance he will become a villain again in S6 due to the fact that the writers need interesting characters for S6. What makes Felix interesting is that he is an anti-hero. He is on no one's side. He is out for himself. That is what makes him unique. Taking that away from him by redeeming him removes what makes him so intriguing as a character . You are reducing him to a boring side character who does good all the time . I do think he will get Chloe'd in S6 by becoming bad again but I don't think his characters will be assassinated the same way her character was as it makes sense for Felix to be bad. He makes a great villain.
For Felix stans's reaction to this , they might actually not be angry as Felix is in his element when he plays the role as an anti-hero. However it would be funny if they acted like the Chloe stans (who had a right to be angry at TA after S3) by attacking Thomas since Felix is one of Thomas's fav characters. His fans attacking TA causing TA to turn on Felix and ruin his character would be fun to watch lol.

What does redeeming him even do in the narrative? Especially at this point in the season. Wouldn't it make more sense if he was redeemed during the fight with Gabriel? You know as a way to free Adrien and give him his amok, proving he has actually changed?
He literally changed anything once he was redeemed anyway. They literally only redeemed him (unconvincingly) to put him with Kagami and it literally turned him to the anime love intrest achritype.
He was so much more interesting as an asshole but even then redeeming him isn't "he just needs to be understood" and more like "listen you asshole , just because you've been hurt doesn't mean you continue this cycle" and kagami can still do this!! They simply chose the easy way out and gave him a redemption.
But seriously though, the whole bullshit ass explanation Kagami gives us about Felix "not being able to express himself!" and "everyone is wrong about him!" is so stupid. Like, I'm so fucking sorry, I must have imagined him telling Ladybug he wasn't sorry at all about having doomed Paris and I must have missed him actively trying to ruin Adrien's life out of nothing but spite. I guess he was just having a hard time expressing himself when he snapped the whole world out of existence because he hated every human being, or when he victim blamed Adrien, or when he tried to forcefully kiss Ladybug.
Some examples of Felix Fathom being unable to express himself:

I'm sure he was just misunderstood and I'm sure everyone was just wrong about him being awful!

I guess for me, what makes the whole Kagami/Felix "forbidden romance" fall flat is that there is no good reason for Tomoe Tsurugi to be as bitterly against it as she is.
Should she be disappointed that the arranged union of Kagami and Adrien isn't going as planned? Yes, but from her perspective, it is Gabriel who has continually failed her and put their plans in jeopardy because of his continual incompetence. Given that Felix is also in possession of the Miraculous that could theoretically erase her daughter and all her hard work, her open antagonism is forced and counterproductive.
It would have made so much more sense if Tomoe had at least tried to reach an agreement with Felix, albeit one with clenched teeth.
After all, Felix is the heir to a billionaire and is also part of the prestigious nobility, so Kagami dating Felix wouldn't be much of a downgrade. Furthermore, Felix can pretend to be Adrien at the drop of a hat, so if there's a plan that needs Adrien's likeness, there's that. In fact, Tomoe could have used Felix as a wild card to double-cross Gabriel to end the Tsurugi-Agreste alliance, but still continue with her own, separate schemes. Instead, she decides to go full supervillain, allowing Felix the most unearned redemption this side of Sylar.
Tomoe is too smart to be this harmful to her own goals. It would have made a lot more sense for there to be a morally gray Tsurugi-Fathom alliance to rise from the ashes from all of the plans that fell apart. Part of that would mean Felix and Kagami would get together. You win some and you lose some, but I think Tomoe would have been smart enough to lose the battle -- the arranged union -- to win the war.

FELIX FATHOM FROM MIRACULOUS LADYBUG
Tumblr media
Justification: “I really liked how he was a plot important character who didn't show interest in romance unlike almost everyone in this show and how his most important relationships were with his family (how he adores his mom, how he wants to free his cousin, how he hates his uncle but still makes a deal with him). And then the writers were like, yeah let's give him a rushed romance with his cousin's ex. It feels like pair the spares to me (and a bit like "redemption through love") instead of genuine development.
Also I'm aroace and I project onto him 👍”
