Red Foley and Patsy Cline performing "Winter Wonderland". ______________________ Winter Wonderland Songwriters: Dick Smith and Felix Bernard
Sleigh bells ring Are you listening In the lane Snow is glistening A beautiful sight We're happy tonight Walking in a winter wonderland
Gone away is the bluebird Here to stay is a new bird He sings a love song As we go along Walking in a winter wonderland
In the meadow we can build a snowman Then pretend that he is Parson Brown He'll say: are you married? We'll say: no man But you can do the job When you're in town
Later on We'll conspire As we dream by the fire To face unafraid The plans that we've made Walking in a winter wonderland
(Sleigh bells ring) Are ya listenin' (In the lane) Snow is glistening A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight Walkin' in the winter wonderland
(Gone away is the blue bird) Here to stay is a new bird He sings a love song As we go along Walkin' in a winter wonderland
In the meadow we can build a snowman And pretend that he's a circus clown (We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman) Yes, until the other kiddies knock him down
Later on, we'll conspire As we dream by the fire To face unafraid The plans that we've made Walkin' in a winter wonderland Walkin' in a winter wonderland

Walking in a Winter Wonderland
song by Felix Bernard and Richard B. Smith, as sung by Peggy Lee; Book illustrated by Tim Hopgood.
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening? The popular Christmas carol is beautifully illustrated by Tim Hopgood in this book.
Tumblr media
Sing the song aloud with your kids while you flip through the book. Each page is a winter wonderland!
After singing the song together, ask your child to tell you a story based on the images. The illustrations offer lots of details that your kids can point out.
Ask your child questions like, 'where are the people going?' and 'what are they looking at?' to help them narrate a story.
Reading in this way will help your child practice singing, talking, and playing, which will help them get ready to read on their own. They'll build phonological awareness, narrative skills, vocabulary, and background knowledge.
Extend the Book: Winter Wonderland Calm Down Jar
You will need:
Bottle with cap or mason jar
Permanent marker
Clear school glue
Glitter
Food coloring
Beads, rhinestones, styrophoam balls, or other small items to float in your jar
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Draw a winter scene on the outside of your jar with permanent marker.
Add a large scoop of glitter to your jar along with a handful of beads, rhinestones, Styrofoam balls, or other objects you have gathered.
Pour about 2oz of clear school glue into the jar. The glue will help make the jar settle more slowly after shaking it up.
Fill the rest of the container with water, pouring slowly so you don't create too many bubbles. Stir to dissolve the glue.
Add one drop of food coloring (more than one drop will make it difficult to see the objects inside.)
Put the top back on and seal tightly. Have an adult hot glue around the lid to prevent leaks.
Shake the jar to create a winter wonderland. Then watch as the particles settle slowly to the bottom.
Check out Walking in a Winter Wonderland!

‘Felix Betro on the Waterfront’ as painted by French painter, sculptor, engraver, fashion illustrator and interior decorator Bernard Boutet de Montvel (1881-1949). Although first known for his etchings, he earned notability for his paintings, especially his geometric paintings from the 1900s and his Moroccan paintings made during World War I. In Europe and in the United States, where he often travelled, he also became known as a portrait painter for high society clients.

Baby names <3
Tumblr media
Me and Matt were scrolling on our phones looking through lists and lists of baby boy names. These days all of the baby names had to be unique and extra. I didn't want that a so did Matt. We just wanted simple names, but it was different.
"To save the time of scrolling lets just name him Matt jr."
I laughed. "Matt this is serious, we don't want to pick a name that we might regret." I continued searching.
"What about Cody? Cody Sturniolo, banger name."
"It's a suggestion, I wouldn't have that as my preference, but it's alright." I was trying to be considerate. In my reality, I had always hated that name. Too Americanised and cringe. Matt had brought up that name a few times even before I was pregnant. I had always shut it down.
"What about something like Liam?" Matt just nodded his head. "Or maybe Andrew? It might be cute if we shorten it to like Drew or something?"
"Yeah I like that! Keep it in mind."
TIME SKIP
"I made a small list. Do you wanna hear it?"
"Yeah, I have as well."
"Okay, so my name suggestions are Andrew, Domonic, Kai and Liam."
"Alright. Now mine. So mine are Felix, Connor, Cameron and Rafe."
"Oh my god yours are so nice. Mine are shit." I laugh tiredly.
"There just suggestions." Matt blushes.
Matt stands up from his chair and goes to pick up our baby. He did it with such care I could just admire him. He was already such a natural. He looked so sexy but in this situation it felt wrong. Matt supported his head so gently, like he was made of glass. He turned around and faced me with a smile on his face.he noticed that i was watching him.
"What are you looking at?" He smirked.
"Just a natural-born-dad. Are you sure you haven't done this before?" I teased.
"I don't recall." He chuckled. Matt walked ever so slowly back over to his seat and sat back down, cradling our baby. "He doesn't look like an Andrew." That was one name off the list.
"I don't think he looks like a Felix either."
"Yeah." Matt agreed.
"I love Rafe."
"Same, that was a good choice of mine."
"I also really like Conner."
"Are those our two choices?"
"Mhm." I pause. "I think that people might call him Rafie if his name was Rafe."
"Good point. So is our name Conner?" I nod excitedly. "So what would we have as a middle name?"
"Definitely not Bernard." I joke.
"What was going through my parents minds when they chose that." He ran his hand over his face and laughed.
"No clue babe. Maybe it could be Conner David Sturniolo?"
"Why David?"
"My grandfather."
"I love it. Conner David Sturniolo."
Hey guys I hope you really enjoyed this fanfic! If you have any requests of suggestions just send them to my inbox and I will try and respond asap! <3

by Peter Baum
Several months ago, I wrote an article in Blitzdebunking the Palestinian narrative relating to their claims of being indigenous to the geography that is Israel, biblical Judea and Samaria. These named areas are all according to international law within Israel’s sovereignty. The League of Nations Mandate 1922 endorsed by the United Nations Charter 1945, Article 80, and the international legally binding principles of Acquired Rights, Estoppel and Uti Possidetis Juris confirm, ratify and endorse Israel’s territory inclusive of these areas.
In that previous article I cited the numerous historical invasions – Persian, Babylonian, Greek, Roman, Crusader and Saracen and discovered no Palestinian opposition to that colonization to reclaim their indigenous lands.  Of course, the paradox has to be explained to the pro Palestinians, the Dreyfus mob as I now refer to them.
Despite repeated requests via my articles, social media confrontation, debates, in halls on radio and TV, not one of the Dreyfus mob could enlighten us on historical Palestinian efforts nor name any indigenous Palestinian leaders who fought militarily or politically against any foreign invasion.  Needless to say, the Dreyfus mob could not identify any Palestinian flag nor emblem nor currency the indigenous Palestinians used during their habitation of the geography. There must be some burial sites then surely? None. Okay, okay I ask, what about any historical constructions, either destroyed or still standing built by persons who identified themselves as Palestinian. Of course not.
So, did anyone see these people, this race, tribe, nation or culture who have created fact from mythology. According to my research they must have been invisible as no itinerant scribe ever documented their existence.
It is worth reposting selected paragraphs from my previous post to establish the simple facts that numerous travelers to the geography who diarized their journeys, travels and experiences all seemed to have missed the indigenous habitants we call now the Palestinians.
Abbot Richard of Saint – Vanne, 970 -1046 in his 11th century Pilgrimage to the Holy Land, made no reference to the Palestinians. Jews, Muslims yes, but no collective known as Palestinian.
The 13th century Arab biographer, Yakut wrote:
“Mecca is holy to Muslims and Jerusalem is holy to Jews”. Never in his writings referring to the Palestinians.
Ibn Khaldun, Arab historian and philosopher who died in 1406, wrote in 1377:
“Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel, extended over 1400 years and it was the Jews who implanted the culture and customs of the permanent settlement”. Again, not one note alluding to the Palestinians.
Siebald Rieter, 1426 – 1488 penned a series of essays including Maps to Jerusalem (1426 – 1428) describing his journeys throughout the area and naturally no reference to the Palestinians.
Similarly, Bernard Von Breydenbach, 1440 – 1497 in his Pilgrimage, A Travel Report (Peregrinatio in Terram Sanctam) and Sir Richard Guylforde 1450 – 1506 Pilgrimage, during their extensive travels and detailed diaries also seemed to have missed the Palestinian population.
Maybe Felix Fabri, died 1502 in his Pilgrim and Preacher, Peter Fassbender 1450 – 1518 in his Pilgrim Libraries or Martin Kabatnik, died 1503, From Jerusalem to Cairo discovered the Palestinian people. Absolutely not.
Kabatnik wrote, “The heathens (non-Jews) oppose the Jews at their pleasure, in spite of all the tribulations and the agonies they suffer at the hands of the heathen, the Jews refuse to leave the Holy Land that has been promised to them”. The heathens were the itinerant Bedouins.
Let’s now refer to John Mandeville in his Travels published between 1357 and 1371; Paul Walther Guglingen, in his Jerusalem Travels, 1482/3, describes in detail the inhabitants of the area and Arnold Van Hoff ‘s 1471 – 1505 journals , Pilgrimage , surprise surprise – not one reference to a people, race, tribe or culture identifying as Palestinian.
Father Michael Naud, a Jesuit Priest, in his works The Jerusalem Connection, 1674 penned:
“The Jews of Jerusalem were resigned to paying a heavy price to the Turk for their divine right to stay there”.
Just for good measure the following diarists also managed to ignore, forget or missed the Palestinian people during their travels.
Sir George Adam Smith, died 1790, Jerusalem; Edward Robinson, died 1863, Biblical Researches; Alphonse de Lamartine, died 1869, From Marseilles to Jerusalem; and Sir George Gawler, died 1869, Syria and its New Prospects.
The above are just some examples of historical, documented works, diaries and journals of respected travelers to the geography known since time immemorial as Israel and during colonial invasions temporarily called Palestine. None of these written documents alludes to a human collective we know today as Palestinians who claim with the support of many that they are the indigenous people to the geography.
Indeed, no traveler noted the language of the Palestinian nor what any mythical Palestinian called themselves in their mother tongue and in conclusion this requires explanation and elaboration.
The evidence is that Arab militant, political organizations dedicated to the elimination of the Jewish State of Israel were created in the 1960’s through the 1980’s. Their charters are written in Arabic. However, there is no sound for the letter P in Arabic so what therefore did the old, (nonexistent?) Palestinians or do the newly formed Palestinians call themselves in their mother tongue? The letter P in Arabic is pronounced with either a B or F sound, thus they would be calling themselves Balestinians or Felastinians. Well once again history is lacking any such people although the word Felastinian does exist in Arabic and the definition only mocks the Palestinian claims to being indigenous to the geography. You see, Felastinian is the pronunciation for Philistine – an extinct race of people originating from the Greek Islands. The more recent definition of Philistine is uncouth, uncultured heathens. Which definition do you think today’s Palestinians would prefer?
Like silicone breast implants the Palestinians were invented in the 1960’s.

BRC Headcanon Full Names
I have another BRC ask to work on tonight, thus I figure I should post this now. So then, behold! A big ol’ list of full name headcanons!
Basically a continuation of this post I made a long while back. This covers pretty much all the major characters, at least the playable ones. Plus even specific crew members from the rival crews!
Some of these have specific meanings that I used for the particular character, others were just kind of more general vibes, like “Oh this sounds cool/cute/etc.” A few of these will have extra notes on why I picked particular given/family names, but otherwise just assume it was because I liked the sound of it! Went with mostly Dutch last names for most of these characters since, well, dialog in parts of the game imply New Amsterdam is still in the Netherlands, so that made it a bit easier when I couldn't think of anything else to try, y'know? :P
Also note, not everyone here has a middle name. Not everyone irl has one anyways! Also also, some of the Dutch last names may be in the format of “Van (something)” or “De (something”, so just wanted to point that out in case anyone might get confused and think Van/De is a middle name, lol
Starting with the main cast:
Tryce = Tristian Christoffel
Bel = Annabella Pieper
DJ Cyber = Cyrus Rafaël Nassau
Felix = Bernard Manfred Van Steen (I still maintain that Felix looks like his real name would be Bernard, lol)
Vinyl = Florence Zoë Hendriks (when she was a child, she would sometimes write it as “Hendrix” and try to convince people she was related to Jimi Hendrix; it worked more often than it probably should have)
Solace = Levi Smit
The five bonus BRC members:
Rave = Vanessa Yvonne Ziegler (A headcanon, note, her dad is a black German, and her mom is from the Dominican Republic! Since she has a bunch of lines in German, and at least two in Spanish (one in particular being specifically Dominican slang), so that’s how I’m handled this :P )
Mesh = Bassam Karimi (first name means “smiling” in Arabic, last name is derived from the given name Karim/Kareem, which in turn means something along the lines of "generous, noble" or “dignity”; my research into this yielded differing results, but this seems to be more or less the overall idea. Honestly think it both sounds nice and really suits him!)
Shine = Sol Bakker (“Sol” just means “sun” in Spanish and Portugese, basically the idea is she derived her street name from that!)
Rise = Josephine Katherina Thomas (She hates being called any sort of nickname for her first name. It’s either Rise or Josephine, that’s it)
Coil = Oscar Meijer (Fun fact, the English equivalent of Meijer is Meyer/Mayer. I genuinely did not intentionally make Coil’s real name to be a roundabout reference to the lunch meat, but now that I realize it, I’m definitely keeping it this way, loool)
Some others:
Rietveld = We know here full name is Irene Rietveld, but a bonus idea: the rest of BRC point out it’s a bit awkward for her to go by her real name as her street/writer name, so she eventually settles on Rivet as an alias! :D
Escher = Matthias Conrad Escher (Originally just Matthias, but then decided to make a reference to the actual M. C. Escher, “Yeah, my parents knew what they were doing.”; thanks to @slappels for the suggestion way back when!!)
My Devil Theory OCs! The season in parentheses is what in-game palette they correspond with.
Sai (spring) = Tomás Lucas Ortiz
Nunchaku (summer) = Roxanne Beverly Sullivan
Daishō (autumn) = Hiro Francisco Morikawa (first name using the character for “prosperous” (浩); last name using the characters for “forest” (森) and “river” (川). Not that he ever gets a chance to write them in Japanese characters anyways :P )
Bō (winter) = Gavril Jansen
Now for DOT EXE! A repeat from the full DOT EXE headcanons I made a while back, but still including it here for convenience.
Cueball = Ernesto Alberto Visser (Dutch father and Italian-American mother; “Her side of the family were like, the conservative Italian-American types. The kind that makes an annoyingly big deal about celebrating Columbus Day.”; his first and middle name come from two different great grandfathers on his mom’s side)
Eight Ball = Frederik Visser (older half-brother to Cueball, they share the same dad)
Cinco (five ball) = César Hugo Raúl Garcia-Flores (last name got hyphenated when he moved to New Amsterdam while getting his papers in order and stuff; not sure if I ever clarified it in the original post, but in most (probably all?) Spanish-speaking countries, people have two last names, one from their father and the other from their mother. When moving to a country that doesn’t allow for two last names, some people end up forced to pick one or the other. Cinco went with just hyphenating it to be able to effectively keep both.)
Neun (nine ball) = Sebastián Montero Sebastian Jäger
Twoson (two ball) = Beau Driessen
Fourside (four ball) = Robin Zaal
Jūrō (ten ball) = Maximilien Théodore Perrault
Quatorze (fourteen ball) = Marie-Madeleine Lucille Perrault
And heck, the rest of the New Amsterdam crews too while I’m at it. Same as with DT and DE, the season in parentheses is the corresponding in-game palette for the playable rival character.
The Franks:
Flesh Prince = Ruben Vos (last name meaning fox, and apparently was/is a nickname for a clever person… or a person with red hair, lol)
Bill (spring) = Caspar Westenberg
Charles (summer) = Thomas Vogels
Michael (autumn) = Abraham Joël Admiraal
Larry (winter) = Lennard Van Herten
(For their street names besides the Prince, they’re named after famous basketball players, specifically from this list; Charles, Michael, and Larry are probably obvious, with Bill there’s at least two different Bills on that list lol)
Eclipse: (Street names come from constellations, I tried to go with more (relatively?) obscure ones for the names)
Vela (spring) = Sara Al-Ghazzawi
Aquila (summer) = Melissa Agnes Fortuin
Lyra (autumn) = Hannah De Klerk
Cassiopeia (winter) = Xandra Gemma Daalmans (given name is actually Alexandra, but she goes mostly by Xandra for her business)
And finally the rest of FUTURISM: (see my recent short headcanon post about them!)
Nyx (spring) = Laura Kappel
Jazz (summer) = Vincent Linden
Veronica (autumn) = Paula Prinsen (Paula is the feminine form of Paul, which in turn has roots in the Latin word Paulus which can mean humble. This is an intentionally ironic name choice for this character, lmao. Also Prinsen means “son of the Prince”, so this one is more in line with her haughty attitude)
Quantum (winter) = Esther Katja Hoedemaker (She goes by Kat as a nickname)
This next one only applies to my fanfic AU of “What if we take the postgame at face value and Red somehow became a separate person from both Felix and Faux”, but anyways:
Red = Russell Miles Van Steen (Picked the first and middle names himself, note that Russell just means “red” lol. He took on Felix’s last name since they see each other as brothers after a certain point. And it’s not like Red could come up with a better last name anyways. His middle name when paired with Felix’s middle name is a Miles Edgeworth reference :P )

Jealousy (Oxelix)
Or, Felix confronts oxy about his seemingly sudden possessiveness towards him.
For @fhs-event-week's valentine's shipping week
Oxy isn't a jealous person. Well, he is, he doesn't like to admit it.
It hit him like a sudden whip to his back, that rainy, cold night when he found his boyfriend picking a fight in the bathroom of the bar they usually go to on Saturday nights. What was that bastard's name? Edward? Bernard? Whatever, what oxy does know is that he was one of Felix's bullies in middle school, and apparently, he still had a bone to pick with the pink-haired beauty.
Oxy made sure the boy was k.o., obviously without no complaints for Felix, that, despite having a broken nose, bruises on his cheeks and damages on his arms, still dared to say that Oxy was too brutal, and he was "handling it well."
Ever since that day, oxy has been... Way too protective, at least, for Felix's taste. Ever since the bathroom accident, Oxy has been hesitant in giving Felix personal space, always wanting to be with him every time he was away. At first Felix didn't mind, but lately - and probably without meaning to - he's simply been acting too jealous, like that accident made him come back to when they were first dating, and oxy didn't fully trust his boyfriend yet.
But he knows this time it isn't about trust, Oxy is jealous of anyone twho touches Felix... Because he's scared. Scared he will get hurt again.
Scared he'll lose him.
And Felix doesn't want him to feel this way. Because he knows he's not going anywhere, he knows he's not in danger, he just needs to get this fact through Oxys head.
It was an autumn afternoon when Felix decided to talk to Oxy about it. The walk to the Nightmares' place is usually always pleasant, but today, the weight of the talk he would have with his boyfriend is, honestly, stressing him out.
Oxy was in his room - or, well, Oxy, Onnie and Maggie's shared room. But the other two were away, so it was only him, Oxy, and Deuz in the kitchen.
Felix put his bag on the ground, right next to Oxy's worn-out school bag. Oxy was sitting on a chair in between his bed and desk, lazily picking at his bass' strings, and limited himself to a sigh when he heard Felix knock on his door.
"Can we talk?" Felix simply asked, sitting cross-legged on Oxy's bed, a few paint and coffee stains that just wouldn't wash off creating an interesting decoration pattern on the sheets.
Oxy didn't want to look at him.
"I'm sorry for having followed you last night when you went out with your friends."
"you promised me you'd stay at my place and take care of my sick sister!"
"I know! I just... I couldn't help myself, okay?" while he spoke, Oxy put his bass down. Felix clenched his fists.
"Why? Why can't you help yourself? What is it that's making you so jealous?" the pink-haired boy tried to make his voice sound as calm as he could.
Oxy, who would usually start to get irritated in situations like these, relaxed his shoulders and finally turned around to look at his boyfriend in the face.
"I'm scared. That's all. I'm scared something like what happened in the bathroom last week would happen again."
Felix's eyes softened, and he opened his fists again. Sure, he was still angry, but he knew why Oxy was acting this way.
"you're scared you will lose me like you lost everyone you loved." Felix said, all in one breath, his voice sounding eerily monotone.
Oxy swallowed hard, it was difficult for him to admit it, even if it was true... he was supposed to be the strong one, but instead, he let himself get controlled by his emotions and his protectiveness.
Felix, on the other hand, just chuckled. Oxy looked up to him, raising a brow in confusion.
"do you think a stupid fight in a dirty bathroom is what will take me down?"
"you were in a pretty bad shape..."
"Oh, trust me, I've been through worse." Felix answered with a smirk, like that was supposed to reassure Oxy in some way.
"that... doesn't make me feel any better." Oxy confessed, a hint of a smile on his face. Felix rolled his eyes and leaned over to the ginger boy's direction.
"What I'm saying is," and Oxy moved his chair closer to where Felix was sitting, "I'm not going anywhere. I promise. You don't need to guard me all the time. I am not in danger." And while he spoke, he put his hand on Oxy's arms, squeezing slightly.
"And I guess I owe you an 'I'm an idiot'" Oxy answered, looking down.
"you owe me many 'I'm an idiot'!" Felix answered, laughing.
