Honestly I think I need to mess around a bit more before I have any decent questions to ask haha, but if there’s any general tips or like “remember to do this” type advice you have, that would be so great !!
#I think the biggest struggle I have rn is making animation look fluid and good and not just like I’m moving bits and pieces of a puppet lol#we were working with a single arm before which I didn’t find too hard and lowkey it was a lot of fun#but now we’re posing a full character and it’s moving and flipping and stuff#I was alright doing keys but then breakdowns and onwards it just was not looking hot at all lmaoo#specifically when I tried flipping the character horizontally#it was a struggle to 1.) make it smooth and flow and feel realistic 2.) not break something in the rig#one of the arms just got totally mangled and I couldn’t figure out how to fix it :')#sorry this is a lot lmao but tysm for your offer for real!!#my teacher is scary af and also very mean and The Worst so I would love to take you up on it if I have questions haha#ask

#i feel like my presence here has narrowed so much because my life has narrowed so much to encompass mostly pain and frustration#with the medical system and disability and the state of my fucking country#and the occasional highlight of my cats#i can't work on my art#it's agonizing to even try and i wind up crying#and it's because this horseshit rigged system has ripped the safety out of it#i might as well give my work away for free since they want to take 100% of my earnings out of my check#which like i am not even remotely opposed to giving my work away (would prefer even) but we need the money and i'm not allowed to keep it#i don't know#my life is just so small right now and i don't know how to find meaning again in a world that keeps so much of what i love away from me#it's a slog and every day is the same#and nothing i do feels meaningful#except holding my cats and being with my boyfriend#and that's about all i can do.

i haven't started working on anything yet because i have a very important commission to finish but i think this 3d model i was daydreaming up in my head is going to be way more complex than i was thinking it would be Simply because it does not follow a rigging structure that already exists so it will have to be Very custom. no tutorial will be able to save me

#the shape of the head sphere is kind of irritating me but i think a funny thing is it may not actually survive becoming a sonic.#what with the giant eyes and spikes and little muzzle thing i think a lot of its geometry would end up getting covered up and deleted...#That is assuming i survive to the point of doing that. yknow i do think rigging is fun but its also real intricate. and the mistakes get on my nerves

Die#RAGH !#its so incredibly satisfying to watch the controllers actually move the parts around because it means you did something right#and i think im finally getting the difference between IK and FK movements and it feels good to learn#but i feel like im not learning a lot and just doing step by step work since im just doing the same work as the teachers recorded videos#i wonder if maybe thats the only way to learn how to rig. i do know now what constraints are and to bind skin and stuff like that#and i know how they work !#but i dont know if i would be able to do the assignment im doing right now with my knowledge alone. without the teachers videos#well. were only halfway through. theres more time to learn...#im just glad i think its fun still. rigging is the part that people seem to have a hard stance either for or against it#but i do like it ! its just intricate work...

A typical Zone-made deck of cards consists of a mix of solid-colored cards and traditional cards, weighted differently based on the game being played. A game of blackjack or go fish only has as many traditional cards as there are players, but a game of Mafia only has one, in addition to color cards that would not usually be included in a deck.
These custom cards are all of various sizes, and very little dictates uniformity amongst decks other than the generally accepted rules that they must all have identical backings and have at least two cards of each type. Cards alike are held to very little rules, some boasting intricate linework patterns while others were shown no greater kindness than poorly-masked tape borders and corners only rounded for the sake of not splitting.
This, of course, makes cheating much more difficult— unless familiar with the deck your playing, sliding a dummy card in your hand is quite jarring— however, it makes playing rigged games all the more enjoyable granted they take place on friendly terms
