no because like. okay i KNOW eddie does have wife related trauma but ALSO there are Layers here and it is s o o o o fascinating that eddie is getting CRIPPLING panic attacks over someone being called his wife. like. you would think maybe said wife related trauma would be the cause of that — like yknow. the woman i called my WIFE died, so now im terrified of ever having anyone else be called my wife , because what if that happens to her TOO. only NO. ¯`°¤.¸.¤ ¯`°¤.-- ♕ II Mipha felt a sense of unease wash over her, her gaze lifting towards Ploymus Mountain. High above, the roar of a Lynel shook the foundation of Zora's domain.

The guards and soldiers who protected their home looked to the mountain as well, their acute hearing and attention to detail noting the sudden change in the environment around them. Some clutched their spears tight, expecting the Lynel to come charging down the mountain at any moment.

At least those who were insensitive; children and humble merchants selling their wares, seemed unbothered and didn't notice. Which was a good thing in the princesses' eyes. The last thing they needed was for wide spread panic to circulate throughout the domain when they could put a stop to it quickly.

"I fear for the worst. The Lynel have been acting unruly lately. Far more than usual, I'm afraid..." She spoke aloud to one of the guards at her side; Bazz. A young Zora soldier whom was still fresh in the ranks, his dark scales a noticeable contrast against his silver armor.

He nodded in agreement. "As long as it doesn't find its way down the mountain... We can keep control of its location and make sure it passes by without detecting the domain." He said, hoping to ease the princesses' worries.

She knew he was right. They couldn't risk everyone's safety when the Lynel wasn't close enough to wreck havoc. But she still wanted to make sure it didn't pose as a potential risk, especially if they could stop it early.

"Link!" One of the guards announced loud enough to bring Mipha's attention away from the mountain and towards the entrance of the glittering domain.

"Link is here!" Another joyous guard called out.

Turning to face him, she immediately caught sight of the familiar young knight making his way into the domain. Either to visit, or to pass on a message from the princess Zelda, she didn't know. But she was so glad to see him. If there was anyone could help with their little problem, it was Link. The one person she had all the faith of the world in.

"Oh, Link! Thank Hylia you're here!" Mipha called out, a cupped hand resting against the corner of her lips so her voiced echoed out, hoping to catch his attention quickly. "We could use your help!"

Why is Crystal Fairies the bar for disappointment? (Just reason your Treasure Seekers 2 review/summary and you said it was better than Crystal Fairies at least, so just curious haha)

I will definitely go into more detail (with a book review probably), but uh the very very short answer is that uh, Compass of the Stars is underwhelming, but Crystal Fairies is underwhelming enough to piss me off :D

That's a whole level of disappointing methinks :'3

pretty minor thing to think about, but i find it interesting how chapter 7 is the first chapter illustration to show chizuutan as chizuru (instead of chuutan)

like, i get it’s a flashback chapter, but we hardly got to see her as chizuru in the previous few chapters thus far… maybe we’ll get to see more of her as her true self after the hiyori fight/make up? only future chapters may tell, i guess…

I've been thinking a lot lately and I'm pretty sure I've reached the conclusion that a big part of my not-so-great relationship to my own personal transness comes down to the fact that (thanks to acromegaly) I was forced to confront my feelings about gender wayyy before I was ready.

Like consider the following: you're already dealing with what you are just now realizing is pronoun dysphoria, top dysphoria, all this shit and coming to terms with that and what it all means™ when your face starts insidiously masculinizing on its own without external hormones. (But it's just slow enough that no one believes you-- including doctors).

And of course this would change how others perceive you, but less talked about is how it changes how you perceive yourself, especially when you're already gender questioning. I am obviously in no way saying acromegaly made me trans™, I'm just saying dealing with the aftermath of this pushed a lot of feelings to the surface that I wasn't necessarily ready to deal with, especially in the midst of a much more urgent health crisis.

Like, I spent a good part of today researching plastic surgeons to get multiple cm of bone shaved off my browbone. (And no I do not really have money for this but at this point it's an imperative for me to maintain my fragile grip on sanity-- you know how it is). Which of course means being bombarded with terms like "MtF feminization surgery", "brow shaving to improve feminine aesthetics!" which tbh is an especially bizarre kind of dysphoria-inducing hell and I'm fucking exhausted. Like please god. do we really need the gendered terms? I just want to look normal!

Sometimes I feel like I am the only person in the world in this oddly specific situation. I have to be, right?

If you want to know what's wrong with me, this is it. If you see me joking about having "horns" or other shit, just look the other way because I'm fucking coping

The Revali she had once met a long time ago would have looked out only for himself. He would have claimed that her mistakes were wearing down his own potential and he would have left her behind. At least that's what she assumed given their various encounters.

Yet, here he was. At her side, declaring his loyalty; that he would not leave her behind.

She told him to go, to save himself and others when she believed there was no saving herself, yet still, he remained. She laid in the comfort of his wings, her body weak and limp, blood trickling from the corner of her lips where a sizeable cut formed. It hurt to smile, but she smiled nonetheless. Her heart was touched even as it pumped weakly.

"Oh, Revali..." She tried to take a breath. It hurt. Her gills ached and her lungs cried with every breath, but she held on for as long as she could. Revali and the others would have to go on without her.

She reached up, a hand caressing the feathers at his cheek. "... I am so proud of you-- of how far you've come." She coughed and shuttered, the will to breathe becoming increasingly harder. "What a marvelous champion you are..."

With one last inhale, her body stilled and the life left her eyes her eyes as they fluttered shut, the hand on his cheek falling limp at her side.
