Masterpost✨ May Death Never Stop You - Oneshots

Making a big masterlist to be updated as I go along.

All the unrelated shorts/prompts/asks/AUs for this series live on tumblr under the #mdnsy oneshots tag. But they get lost constantly on my dashboard so they also have their own permanent home on Patreon (free) in a MDNSY Collection.

Any time I add to the collection I'll make a post about it on tumblr too, but as I said those get lost really quickly on tumblr and can be hard to track down after the fact. I will likely never post any of these on AO3, even if I might link them in the ANs for people to read. They're mostly just >1k shorts that come from ideas people have in the comments of the fic, so they may never find a place in the story proper, but the opposite of that is also true. The oneshot Cursed Fight, for example, will probably be somewhere in the epilogue. Other ones like Anti-Hero might be slipped into a later Endeavor POV if it makes sense. So especially for that reason, I don't want them interfering with the reader experience. Also, if I create an AU (like Sunshine of my Lifetime, or the Mpreg AU that as of yet doesn't have a name) that has enough substance of its own, it might find its way into the 'big leagues' lol of AO3.

There's a meme on here about how seeing someone on AO3 is like attending their Thesis presentation, and seeing someone on Tumblr is like being at their house watching them eat mayonnaise out of a jar at 2am. I in particular am mostly a trash meme goblin and that reflects pretty soundly on my Tumblr, and this kind of content deserves better than that lol

my characters are all free game for anything horror themed as well. horror as a genre, body horror, psychological horror, whatever. go for it. i have a personal major squick for eye gore but i can handle (and enjoy) pretty much anything else in this realm. go as gorey or not as you like (just tag appropriately for other ppls sakes)

handling self-harm/suicide idealization themes is technically? okay? for my characters? just uh...be respectful i guess. and definitely tag appropriately. this theme is canon for a few of them so i am okay with it just handle it with care is what i'm saying

go ham-buck-wild with mental illness headcanons or projections or anything like that. i dont think i have an oc that doesn't have at least something, so if you see yourself in their symptoms, go for it. only some of them i have personal labels for some of their stuff but otherwise it's whatever. just be respectful, again.

kinning is also okay! kin, synpath anything like that. go ahead! go wild with it. i think it's neat. just be respectful.

and an important note to all of this, other than being respectful to others and the characters themselves, is to respect me. just because it's okay that you do it with my character, doesn't mean i have to agree with it or make it canon or anything like that. it just means i gave you permission to engage like that. so please don't come to me trying to ask or force me to change something about my own characters or get so lost in your headcanons you start to disrespect what i've established myself

Kind of a classic; cis male shapeshifter did the dirty while in a female body and is now pregnant, so he now either has to present as female when out in public or pick a loose excuse of being trans if asked but generally just deal with all the odd looks in public

Cis female shapeshifter has to run away from an awful shotgun wedding, using a male body as a disguise, ending up in the care of a lonely elderly person. They either disguise their pregnancy altogether or get found out and their caregiver is oddly accepting of a pregnant man in their house for someone of the older generation lol

Two shapeshifters of any gender use their abilities to get eachother pregnant, because they want a big family. They get to experience the highs and lows of pregnancy together <3

Pregnant shapeshifter who lives alone uses their abilities to fuck with their neighbour by switching genders daily—gender reassignment surgery is getting more complicated by the day, they know that, but surely this can't be possible... right?

Pregnant shapeshifter who has recently gotten a kick out of making fake pregnancy announcement photos of famous people, by posting selfies of themselves looking like them, vs. celebrity who is actually pregnant and trying to hide it for whatever reason and is horrified at a fake announcement of theirs on social media

Cis guy is dating a very closeted trans guy (a secret between them, which cis guy respects), who "gets sick" and then suddenly straight up disappears one day. It sucks, but is out of his control and definitely has nothing to do with the very heavily pregnant cat who keeps visiting him and even lets him (and only him!) rub his tummy sometimes...

Speaking of animal shapeshifters (my personal fave lol), normal guy who gets pregnant with an animal shapeshifter (wether their partner is one and it's genetic, weird magic, etc), which makes for some very interesting ultrasounds...

Bonus for that last one: animal shapeshifter baby, once it's born, shifts into animals depending on their current emotions. Sometimes you get the cuddly puppy, other times you get the fussy, snappy baby crocodile. Such is life!

Yes, absolutely. I've made some fun acquaintances in my comment section, and even some friends. I like discussing my stories and comments are a great place to do that without being annoying or bragging or a million other things my anxiety likes to yell at me for. I love answering questions and talking back about theories, etc. I think I've really done a good job of fostering a good comment section!!

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Um, it's a Scoops guarantee that my fics will have happy endings, but the angiest I would say is The Mushroom King and The Nightmare but I have other stories with angstier middles lol

I saw someone talk about me on tumblr once and they said I should drown, so? Not directly, but sorta? I dunno, it just makes me laugh. Sorry you didn't like my mpreg story, it was never that serious

Yup. I write all the things, with varying degrees of success. My smut is usually really emotionally focused with um lots of strange metaphor and a sprinkle of humor.

I'd prefer that if I can't figure it out in context, that it's written in italics or something and said to be that language. Unless the point of me as the reader not being able to understand is that I'm not supposed to understand along with the character, then that's fine.

But I remember a while ago you answered an ask where you were curious to know which AU’s/tropes we would be interested in sharing, and after seeing these few tweets (pasted below!) I was wondering what your thoughts are on writing about age regression? i’ve seen it written a lot in other fandoms, but there is such a small amount in this fandom, which honestly was a bit surprising to me! I know so many authors write it in for characters that are very angsty and need a (healthy!) coping mechanism for all the stress they deal with (much like poor fictional!matty) and it’s just so comforting to read all the hurt/comfort/fluff that those fics bring. Fictional!Matty’s just always going through it and needs so much love and comfort and i’d love to hear ur thoughts on if it might be something you’re familiar with with reading and/or possibly writing?

Hello Anon! First off I want to say thank you so much for sharing your vulnerability here! This is a judgement free safe zone 🥰 Never be ashamed or nervous about asking about a trope or AU situation - I'm writing an mpreg fic and an omega verse fic in a fandom that doesn't have any other fics with those tropes on AO3 (though if anyone else wants to write some so then I could read it I would be SO HYPE)

Now on to your question - unfortunately age regression isn't something I really see myself writing (I'm sorry!) and isn't something that I'm very interested in personally. BUT I'm super hype that we're able to have a conversation about it! I've come across it in my many years of fandom hopping and unfortunately it's just not a concept that excites me or that I have any interest in writing, and since it's not something that I personally read, or am interested in, I don't think anything that I write with that trope would be very good. I think that there are probably some very talented writers out there tackling it, and I think that's incredible, and I hope that seeing this ask encourages anyone else in the fandom that has been thinking about it, to dip their toes in and give writing it a try! I just will not be the one trying and for that I am very sorry :(

I'm so sorry for not being able to tackle that trope for you, and I hope that more appears in the fandom tag in the future! So, for the questions. Canon AU? Is that a response 🤔😂 I enjoy a lot of AU's and don't mind them much (except for my DNW list lol), but nothing, in my mind, beats canon AU. Sticking to the canon but twisting it to fit a certain narrative. The AU part can be filled with anything too, that's so exciting, right?!

Side pairings... That's a good question! I'm actually quite fong of Jackson and Lydia, and I don't mind Isaac thrown into the mix too. Boyd and Erica is also pretty sweet. As a side thing, I also quite like Peter/Chris and heck even Peter/Jordan lol There... There's also um... Alexander Argent and Deucalion 👉👈🥺 Um... And the sheriff and coach Bobby... But then were over in waaaaaaaaaaay side pairings 😅 I see my babbling emerged, but I don't know how detailed you wanted me to get XD

Stiles and Jackson friendship is very much welcomed! Also Derek and Jackson friendship 😄 I don't care, at all, for Scott's "friendship" with Stiles lol That whole ordeal is honestly just a bad joke to me. Especially after all the seasons (and now possibly the movie) of Scott mistreating Stiles... 😒

I feel like I'm rambling and babbling away here, but to answer the last question; I am particularly weak for unplanned mpreg (not omega or second gender) Stiles and Derek knotting for the first time (not knowing it was possible) . That neither one of them know about the possibility or thinking it a bad misconception/rumor is just 😘👌 so good and has the potential for some delicious angst that (hopefully) merges into joy and laughter. (though don't feel pressured to write mpreg or knotting, I know it's not for everyone, so you're good 😅🙏)

SFW scenarios that I love is just Derek falling head over heels in love for Stiles, but refusing to admit to it, even though it's clear as day for everyone around them (not Stiles though). The ao3 tag "idiots in love" is my absolute favorite tag ever and I don't think I have a single fic without it XD I think.... Lol Other than that, undying loyalty, kindness and reassurance is top tier stuff.
