ABCs of Whump Cover Reveal and Preorders Open!

Hello everyone! It is my pleasure to unveil the fabulous cover of ABCs of Whump, designed by @demondamage.

ABCs of Whump is now available to preorder on our Ko-Fi shop! The physical zine is priced at $13.99 and the digital version is $1.99. Preorders will be open from today, January 8, to March 10, 2024. Physical zines should ship out by early April, and digital zines will hit your inbox on April 2!

50% of profits from this zine will be donated to the Trevor Project, which provides crisis support to LGBTQ+ youth.

I was so excited to participate, and it was such a pleasure :) This piece took a while, and it is right on the edge of my current capabilities as an artist, but it was incredibly fun and rewarding to work on, I'm very proud of how it turned out <3

Featured is my mer shifter boi Pete from my fav project Shifting Phases :) I love him very much and could not resist another oppourtunity to have a work featuring him published.

Eagerly Awaited, Extremely Belated: Whump Intro! :)

Saw a bunch of Whump Intro posts cross my dash this week, so I figured maybe I should make one too! Goodness knows this blog’s been around for long enough without one, so might as well! :)

I’m 99.9% a lurker, and I’m not so good at being the first one to reach out- but I love talking to people who reach out to me, so feel free to message me anytime! :)

Mostly, I like to make whumpy art, and playing around with OCs- so if you want to yell about your OC whumpees, I want to hear about them! :)

I do like to write about my OCs as well, but I rarely ever polish it lol. So if I can ever get around to cleaning them up a bit, you may get to see it! I also LOVE crossovers and having my OCs meet others, so let’s play together in the sandbox with our characters! :)

I like a LOT of different tropes, and will read a wide variety of stuff. That said…

(I don't know if I'll ever POST Dub/Noncon, but I do enjoy reading it- so if you write it, that doesn't bother me! If I do post any, you can rest assured it will be meticulously tagged!)

Lady Whump (not opposed to it and I have a few Lady Whumpees, I just tend to write men more), Character Death, No Whumpers (natural disasters, accidents, etc), Lab Whump (experimental type rather than medical), Pregnancy Whump (fpreg or mpreg, though I like mpreg best because it seems more distressing to me lol) (IRL pregnancy is A Big Squick, but as a whump trope it's somehow fine lol)

But yeah, I joined the community as a lurker maybe around 2019, I think? I don't really remember, but I do have some 'whump art' from 2020. At that time, most of my art was just portraits, headshots, with some weird red and purple too (for bruises). I've been practicing drawing for years, and here I am now

the animal kingdom has such immense potential for whump inspiration, let me tell you…

I haven’t figured out a story for them yet, if there will be any, but I think I will definitely keep these guys around <3 any suggestions on what to do with them are very welcome!
