Kento raises a brow at your statement, confused as to the catalyst for it. He takes off his suit jacket and drapes it over the couch. “Is it the hair? They told me it was the common cut for the workplace-” Kento rakes his hand over the fresh cut hair on his head, fingers combing through blond locks as he lifts it up.

“I want to talk to you,” You let your words linger, gazing over his new attire. “in the bedroom.”

“Oh.” 

“Yeah.” You grab his hand, making a beeline for the bedroom. You push him down on the bed and climb on top to straddle him. “Fuck, Ken.” Undoing his tie, you move it to drape around your neck. “You’ve always been attractive but this new look is… divine.”

“Thank you, sweetheart.” Kento’s ears tint red as he watches your hands make idle work of his shirt. The way his chest hair peeks out as you unbutton drives you wild. Once you’ve gotten the shirt unbuttoned, your hands explore the plane of his chest. “I think I’m obsessed.” 

Shifting up to his neck, you let your fingers run through the soft hair of his undercut. Leaning down, you press a chaste kiss to his lips. As your hips grind against him, the fabric of Kento’s pants creates a pleasurable friction on your core.

Kento’s phone pings and he slips off to the restroom to check it during his break.

He examines the image, how flour stains your cheeks and the tie is wrapped loosely around your neck. He curses to himself for being trapped at work rather than home with you. Half hard in the bathroom and palming himself to that sweet look of yours, praying his boner will disappear in time for his next meeting.

Ey, happy to have helped! Congrats and sympathies on your diagnosis. And honestly it's good for me too, talking all this out, it helps me get my thoughts in order. I often namedrop you guys to Therapist, you are "my readers" :D

The process of putting the photobooks together is...well, it's a lot, so this is going to be a super high-level overview, but basically yeah I wanted to have records of where I'd been and what I'd been doing that were more concrete than just digital photos on a hard drive or a cloud. But I didn't really want to just print the digital photos and put them in a box, either, so I started making photobooks. Usually I go through Walgreens or Shutterfly for printing, whichever has the good coupons when I'm working on it.

So, here's the weird, kind of obsessive part: a huge help in making a yearly photobook, for me, is the fact that I take my photos off my phone at the end of every month. I have some that live on the phone -- my growing collection of photos of my niece, a selection of photos from my Europe trip, some memes -- but those live in their own folders. The main camera roll gets downloaded every month, and I put them all in a file labeled with the month and year (2023-01, 2023-02, etc). It's a recurring task in my to-do list, that I offload the photos on the last Saturday of each month. You don't necessarily have to do it this way, though -- it's just what works best for me, and I encourage people to find a way to do things that will actually be functional for them.

Across the course of the year, although really moreso in October and November, I go through the photos and remove any I absolutely know I don't want to keep. Once I've done that, I save a copy of the whole year's worth of photos to my digital archive, and I take another copy and label it "FOR PHOTOBOOK" which allows me to do more culling of them than I otherwise would, because I know anything I delete is still in my archive. And this all has the advantage of me knowing that the photos in my archive are at least SOMEWHAT organized.

So I go through all the year's photos in the For Photobook file, month by month, sort them into folders by event (so there's, like, 01-Polar Vortex, or 04-Europe, or 09-Birthday) and clear out all but the photos I know I want most. My photobooks are generally longer than the default length they give you at most sites, so I usually do have to add a few pages (they're like $1/page or something) but not too many. Often these days I have some stuff that's events, like the Europe trip, and then some stuff that's just like....a folder of funny shit I saw in Chicago, or a folder of all the food I photographed that I want to save. The cats generally get their own four-page spread at the back. :D

In 2020, I will say, there were only two themes: CATS and COVID. I alternated pages.

Anyway, once I've got the photos sorted, and deleted any I don't want to include, I get on Shutterfly or Walgreens Photo and start up a new photobook project. I upload the first folder of photos, place them on the page with suitable captions, then upload the second folder of photos, etc etc, until all the photos are uploaded and placed in the book. I don't caption extensively -- often it'll just be a page that'll say like "TEXAS IN JULY!" and all the photos from that trip. But it definitely does help me keep track of what I was up to. And it's kind of soothing to review the year and see all the stuff I accomplished.

So that's the bare bones -- by all means feel free to ask questions, although if you guys wouldn't mind asking in comments or reblogs if possible, that should keep the discussion contained as necessary. :)

i, in a moment of weakness, unblocked one of the major rpf bloggers just to see how they would turn the sweet, loving smiles and pictures of the olivier awards into some intricate web of secret relationships and abusive partners, and i was not disappointed.

i think the months during which tumblr was flooding my dash with an endless stream of these posts (despite my attempts at blocking) had desensitised me to all of the genuinely awful things that get posted. i thought it was weird and gross, but i’d lost sight of just how completely tinfoil hat insane it is.

case and point:

HUH? what??

that is not what this looks like to any reasonable person. what it does look like is a conversation between them, during which georgia signals (with some urgency) that another person is trying to make it through behind them. she gestures that they need to move, and david notices. anna, facing the aisle, sees this person clearly, and tries to guide michael out of their way. michael, not quite sure where the person is, backs up first, before realising that he blocked their way more.

there. what the rpf people seem to think is michael’s agitation really only looks like he’s trying to move out of someone’s way, without being able to see them, while in the middle of a conversation. i do that head-to-one-side-then-to-the-other move whenever i’m in that situation. idk how they got “recoiling” from anna. georgia is clearly pointing to people, not desperately flapping around to get david’s attention.

i’ve watched this video several times. to form my initial opinion, to screen record, and to clip the recording. i looked out for specific instances the rpf blog mentioned, including a barely there “slap” of georgia’s hand in the first fraction of a second of the video, and i see nothing but perfectly normal body language for people standing in an aisle in a crowded room. you can quite literally see her hand formed into a pointing position, with one finger towards the group and another directing towards the isle. like it’s literally right there in the video, she’s pointing.

and here, a lovely group photo. except…

am i genuinely losing my ability to read people??because they look fine. not like they’re the most comfortable and free they’ve ever been, but they are at a crowded, televised awards show and they probably have limited time to take photos. ughhggg

then, this:

for the first screenshot, there’s a third distinct possibility: she’s poking fun at him. do these people really not understand banter in a relationship?? i would happily post about my loved ones or see them post about me with a “don’t encourage them” joke. playful annoyance and insults are super healthy, and from the way david sticks to his point in the video from georgia’s story, i’d guess he’s responding in a “watch me” way. as long as no one feels undervalued, which david’s firing back would suggest he doesn’t, it’s fine.

for the second: i cannot even imagine what would possess someone to edit a happy photo of a husband and wife, remove the wife, and edit in someone else. it has the same vibe of obsessed teenagers sticking cutouts of their own faces over photos of band members. especially with the blog’s caption, it feels like they’re implying that georgia is an annoyance or dead weight in david’s public life. she’s his wife, she deserves to be with him publicly whenever they want.

at the very least, find some real pictures of david and michael together to use as fuel for this dumpster fire.

the aforementioned rpf blog that i unblocked has spoken many times about how she’s autistic and can have trouble interpreting nonverbal cues. i can’t help but wonder if these analysis posts are, to some extent, an overcompensation, overlooking the simple explanation in favour of something complex. or maybe these people don’t have a good frame of reference for normal relationships, or they’ve spent so much time in an online echo chamber, originally spurned by some tiny notion, that they’ve forgotten how real people interact.

i’m neurodivergent myself (though not the more commonly recognised autism or adhd; i have other conditions that fall under neurodivergence). the result is that i’m hyper vigilant and often paranoid. in middle school, people would call me sherlock because i’d notice things that let me predict behaviour or work out the details of a person’s recent activities by looking at them. i’ve always found it very easy to read people and situations, and, from experience, i’m almost always right. i’ve never tried to do this, it just kind of happens subconsciously, and has for all my life. i generally don’t talk about these observations because i’ve creeped people out more than a few times by offering pens before they’ve realised they’ve lost theirs or dodging objects while facing another direction. but here i feel my observations can hold value coming from someone who has no trouble interpreting social interactions and with high situational awareness.

i really am just baffled by the insanity of all of this. “reaching” and “doing too much” come to mind. if david and georgia and anna and michael wanted us to know or say something, they would tell us. explicitly. if they really wanted people to think something, they would actually portray themselves that way, and not in a secret, can’t-hide-their-true-feelings way.

i’ve sighed so many times while writing this.

i’m actually quite proud of myself for going this long without unblocking them; when i see something i consider to be a batshit train wreck, i find it very hard to look away and i’ve gotten sucked into hate-reading many things in the past. not that i hate these blogs (although i do find their behaviour unacceptable and very confusing), but that’s the best descriptor i could come up with lol

anyways, all i really want is for the four of them to be happy and free from the amateur tmz reporters. ideally, this stuff will never reach them or have any impact on their lives, but it could, and that’s the most concerning thing to me. even if they are unhappy, i can’t imagine that seeing strangers saying that their misery is so obvious would be any less than horrible.

such brazen speculation is disrespectful to them, their privacy, and their agency to make good personal choices and share information responsibly. if they don’t tell us, they don’t want us to know, and it’s really as simple as that.

this is from a ghosted collab like everyone else has been saying and i'm in charge of kiyo's redesign! (honestly this looks more like an outfit redesign) his design is already one of my favourites but 1. he looks too much like a military dude and there are some potentially problematic implications to it, and 2. you can't tell what his talent is from the design or splash art, so those were my main goals while doing this! i kept some parts of his og design like most of his face and the mask and the chain, and then i tried to mix dark academia and traditional japanese elements to make his talent more obvious, his design keyword for v3 is "aesthetic" so i tried to keep that too

honestly kiyo is probably the hardest to redesign because he has a specific reason for wearing that military uniform so removing it = removing his backstory, and it's hard to add in cultural elements to fit his talent without being controversial, plus his design was apparently visual kei inspired so i had a hard time deciding if i should keep it, but i think this looks decent enough(?) (i also wanted to give kiyo glasses to make him look more scholarly but there would have been too much going on with his face so he just gets reading glasses)

Scene: Lorelai and Rory are discussing the upcoming road trip to New Haven with the Gilmore Grands. Rory forgot to pack. Lorelai goes into panic mode. Rory questions why she needs to pack her entire closet for a short road trip. Lorelai recounts a family vacation story from her childhood that would be best unpacked in a lengthy therapy session, frets that her mother will lecture them for under-packing, starts rummaging through Rory's dresser. Rory catches Lorelai making a double entendre about a meaty taco and declares it was dirty. The show makes another dig at New Haven after Lorelai brings home a pamphlet about Exciting Things to Do In New Haven but it's only a few pages long.

You sound surprised, as if ya'll aren't wearing heavy coats and long sleeves in the spring and summer. I swear there's something in the drinking water affecting everyone's thyroids in this town, they can't regulate their body temperatures.

Rory: Mom, stop rummaging through my shit. Awwwe. Even Evil Villains like Lorelai Gilmore get the blues. I'm surprised she decided to go on this road trip to Yale instead of sending Rory off alone with the Grands, that way she'd have the house and Dean Forrester to herself the entire day. Since Dean's sexual stamina only extends to 1-2 minutes, they could have had sex hundreds of times in a day.

Two quips that sprang to mind (couldn't decided which one was better): The only words Lorelai is thinking about right now are "Dean" and "Shower". Lorelai thinks Jess removed Rory's bracelet while they're in the shower together? Jess could only hope.

You all don't understand the effort it takes for me to break down a scene like this without taking the cowards way out and simply rage quitting (which I have done before). Thank for reminding the audience the reason why Lorelai thinks Jess should, ya know, die painfully and slowly. He was mouthy once. (the Netflix captions borked the line; Rory also said "and wrecked my car", but as if that makes Lorelai's treatment of Future Nephew any more justifable).

I am told that in a later season, Lorelai bemoans the fact that unlike Dean, Jess never offered to change her water bottle for her. NOW WHY WOULD HE DO THAT? YOU'RE ABOUT TO WISH HIM A FIREY DEATH. AND WHEN HE WAS (FORCIBLY) APPOINTED TO CLEAN YOUR GUTTERS YOU DIDN'T WANT HIS HELP..

Lorelai practically moans this, lol. We know "Change the water bottle" can mean two very different things. You ain't so slick, Slick Gilly.

I notice Pigtails didn't say "my daughter" this time, either. Sorry Rory. Maybe try playing a third time until she answers with "Some form of human life." Lorelai lies to Rory's face that she "promised you before and am promising you again that I will cut "this kid" some slack." Alright, I ran through my 30 screen shots, let's stuff this scene in a sack and throw it into the lake with Shane and her swan family.

Rory: "You're just waiting for the day I break up with Jess." Lorelai The Villain: "Did I like Dean? Yes. Did I worry less when you were with dean? Yes! I never expected you to be with Dean forever. I don't expect you to be with Jess forever." What a pile of rancid baloney. Maybe he won't be with Rory forever, but 13 years later Jess becomes her nephew and will be a part of her family forever and I will never, ever, ever stop loving that. What JUSTICE.

When I hit my lowest of low valleys listening to this wretched woman spew her many lies and Gilly-Nonsense, It's often the only thing that makes me smile.

Pecco x Bezz where they take their trash talking too far.

Bezz says something teetering on the edge of mean, and Pecco comes back with a comment that basically stabs Bezz right between the ribs (idk what— I think realistically based on how mean they are to each other while joking it would take a lot for Bezz to take it personally but let’s pretend).

Something that makes Bezz truly believe Pecco thinks he’s washed; that he’s a bad rider, that he’s Vale’s least favorite. Maybe that Bezz made a mistake staying at VR46 and that now he’ll never win a championship. Idk but something that makes Bezz physically recoil. He just stares blankly at Pecco, before hurt colors his features and he takes a step back.

“Bezz—“ Pecco, says, already winding up to defend himself. “I was just—“

But Bezz is clearly already hurt. He shakes his head, waving his hands, and turns away. He walks away, busying himself with something Pecco knows isn’t a pressing emergency. He lets him go, though, lets him take his space while he’s upset. He’ll apologize later, and they’ll get drunk at Bezz’s house on the back terrace while Rubik chases after a ball. Bezz will make a comment about Pecco not driving that is close to being hurtful but Pecco will give him a free pass. He’ll sleep on the couch. They’ll be fine.

Only, that doesn’t happen. Bezz finds excuses not to speak to him, and he acts like he thinks Pecco won’t notice, but he does. Bezz is such a part of his weekly routine that when Bezz removes himself from that it’s like a missing limb. It’s like he’s woken up in an alternate universe; one where Bezz never joined the academy and attached himself to Pecco’s side.

Still, Pecco gives him space. He ignores when Bezz shares sad songs on his Instagram. Ignores the sad photo and caption: “Chissa com è che ti sogno ancora abbracciata a me la notte.”

It’s not until the following race weekend that Pecco realizes how well and truly he’s fucked up. It’s like Bezz isn’t even present— normally they are attached at the hip, causing trouble together during media and happily bickering back and forth. Today, nothing. Pecco only glimpses Bezz as he disappears around corners or walks away, like Bezz is a ghost determined to haunt him from afar.

Vale notices, but doesn’t comment on it. Pecco just sees the dissatisfied look on his face when he sees the way Bezz avoids him, and Pecco knows that it’s gone too far. He basically breaks into Bezz’s motorhome, and waits for him until he comes in at the end of the day.

It breaks his heart to see the way Bezz enters and nearly leaves again when he sees Pecco.

“No, Bezz, please,” he says. “Stay.”

Bezz stays, but skirts around him to sit down. He clearly leaves as much space as possible between the two of them.

Pecco has given him enough space.

He sits down right next to Bezz, nearly in his space, and looks at him with worried eyes.

“I’m sorry,” he says, earnestly. “What I said was wrong, and mean. I didn’t mean it and I’ve upset you and I’m sorry.”

Bezz doesn’t speak, but Pecco watches emotion cross his face before he nods.

“Okay,” Bezz says.

“Okay?” Pecco asks, suspiciously. Bezz had been angsty for a week— Pecco finds it hard to believe all is fixed with an apology.

Bezz shrugs and looks away. Ah. Not fixed.

Pecco can’t stand the thought of Bezz being apart from him any longer. He’s given him time and space but now he’s finished. He needs Bezz; needs his annoying comments and his trash talk and the way he hugs him with his face in his neck so his curls tickle Pecco’s nose. He isn’t going to leave until he can make Bezz happy with him again. Even angry would be better than this avoidance.

“Bezz. Marco. Please. Tell me how to make you feel better. I am sorry. Do you want me to carry your things? Make you food? Well, get you food, I guess, I don’t think me making it would make you better. Do you want me to clean your room?” He asks, gesturing around. “I’ll do it. Whatever you want. Just please stop ignoring me.”

As he talks, he sees Marco look down. Is that- is he smiling?

He pauses, suspicious, and then Bezz breaks. He giggles once, and manages to look up and meet Pecco’s eyes before he starts laughing.

Pecco gapes at him.

“You really begged to clean for me? All because I was mad at you? I should be mad at you more often,” Bezz says between giggles.

Pecco jumps him, tackling him to the sofa and messing up his hair as Bezz tries to fight him off. They wrestle on the sofa until Pecco manages to get on top of him.

“I thought you were mad at me! I thought you were never going to forgive me, you dickhead!”

Bezz giggles, grabbing Pecco’s wrists.

“I was mad! You hurt my feelings. But when you apologized it made me feel better. I was going to tell you that I forgive you but when you started begging it was just too funny.”

Pecco wants to punch him on the mouth.

He doesn’t think, just blinks in one moment and in the next he’s leaned down to press his lips to Bezz’s. Bezz makes a contented noise and releases his wrists, and Pecco’s hands find their way to Bezz’s jaw. The other man’s hands find their way to his hips.

They kiss long and deep, like they’ve done this a million times. It feels normal, especially after the last week of being Bezz-free. It’s like the world was thrown off its axis and has now returned, everything right-side-up again.

When they pull apart and Pecco stares down at him with wide eyes, Bezz grins.

“That wasn’t a joke, right?”

Pecco shakes his head. “No, not a joke.”

“Good,” Bezz beams, then pulls him down to his lips once more.
