Barte: Blue Öyster Cult. Barte is peak axe dad but there's no way in hell he'd actually like good music. (I say as I listen to ‘don't fear the reaper’)

Douglas: Not really dad music anymore but Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller. He'd say he likes jazz then listen to the most white boy jazz of all time. Also Micheal Bublé or Kenny G.

Hector: Hector is such a mess. He wouldn't even listen to music on purpose. If he did listen to music seriously he’d like Queen or maybe Spin Doctors? He’d like dad rock but not sure what brand.

Dozla: Weird Al and/or They Might Be Giants. Maybe Crash Test Dummies too? He seems like he’d sing ‘Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm’ under his breath subconsciously and it'd annoy the shit out of Rennac.

How were you introduced to TOA? Lailah hinted at me for like 2 weeks with lines like "I joined this group and you know Gerome misses Cynthia" and I kept going "sounds fun :)" and did not realise they were hinting until they straight up asked. wow I have been here 6 months

How did you get into Fire Emblem? I was told to play Awakening because I'll love it and I'll totally love all these characters. Um. I never finished it. Then Fates came out, twitter didn't shut up about that and I refused to play it. Then 3H came out. I saw Edelgard and it was joever for me. So I bought it and I've been here ever since.

What Fire Emblem games have you played? Engage, 3H, Fates (all three routes baby), Awakening, Echoes, Warriors, Sacred Stones, a little FEH until I was put off cause I summoned Easter Xander, a little FE7 and I WILL. FINISH. PATH OF RADIANCE. I SWEAR TO YOU ALL RIGHT NOW.

First & Favorite Fire Emblem games: first was technically Awakening but I didn't like it so I dropped it until 2022 I wanna say? So really my first FE was 3H. My favourite? Depends on the day.

I like intimate stuff if you're picking up what I'm putting down. But then I run away about 2 replies in so I write fanfic usually. I like kissing too. Um. I love high emotional scenes too. If I could describe my writing style, it's "My Dinner With Andre - the novel" (I've never seen the film but I get the gist)

Do you have any scenario in mind for your muse(s) that gets you thinking “man I hope I get to write this one day”? I want Ryoma to be happy. Like genuinely I want him to be in a place where he can forgive himself, maybe even forgive the nohrians. I want him to move on and have a peaceful life as a teacher. Hey. Remember my FEH AU where Bart got dragged into Askr as the Summoner on the brink of death and they had to heal him first before he could do anything. And they had to have the mages and scholars study up on his mechanical body parts because they'd never seen anything like it before. And he also eventually reclassed as a (haha) Falcon Knight. And he had to deal with being thrust into the role of hero yet again whilst also not really knowing his purpose anymore and unable to return home regardless bc he dead (tm) there. This was back when I was still in the FE RPC (I do not recommend it. Love you all the friends I met there but man was it whack lmao) so the dwarf place and their mechas hadn't come out yet so maybe now it'd actually be feasible for them to do maintenance on his cyborg parts...

I watched Livesies last month and while it was pretty good, I still prefer the original movie. Matter of fact, there were plenty of things I disliked about it as much as there were things I liked about it.

First off, everything wrong with Livesies (aka, the cons)

I did not like the change in character. Jack being a cowboy in the original movie was more in line with his personality. I can’t see him being an artist. He basically turned into a jerk who was pushing people away. Don’t get me started on his interactions with Katherine and Crutchy (now spelled Crutchie). And that part where he called Crutchie a “dumb crip”. He would’ve never treated him like this in the original film.

Jack wasn’t the only person they changed. Les got the short end of the stick, too. In the original movie, Les was this cute and adorable little kid who was also determined and spunky. In the live version, he was still cute, but also turned into a very annoying and bratty kid. With all due respect to Ethan Steiner, I wasn’t a huge fan of his portrayal of Les at all. I wanted to strangle him like how Homer Simpson strangles Bart.

Now let’s talk about the character removals. They got rid of the most important characters from 92sies, Bryan Denton and Sarah Jacobs (David and Les’ older sister.)

Sarah and Denton were totally screwed over in favor of Katherine! The musical had so many things they could’ve done with them.

Let’s start with Sarah. Tbh, Sarah was relegated to just Jack’s love interest in the original movie. But they could’ve done so much with this girl in the musical. They could’ve had her join the strike because she saw everything her dad, Mayer went through at the piano factory. They could’ve had her become friends with Katherine, as they both know how hard it is to be a woman during the 1890s. Ooh, and they could’ve had her punch more people in the face.

And as for our man Denton, they should’ve had him and Katherine being partners as reporters for The New York Sun. They would’ve made such a great team.

Don’t get me started on what they did to Spot Conlon. He was a prominent character in the original movie, but they made him a background character!

And don’t get me started on how most of the original Newsies got cut from the musical. Boots, Bumlets, Snipeshooter, Skittery, PieEater, Itey, Tumbler, Jake, Snoddy and Snitch, those were the original Newsies. But they got cut!

Next up, the song changes. They started adding cuss words to the musical. Example: in Santa Fe, Jack referred to Crutchie as a dumb crip. And they changed so many lyrics.

The thing that has baffled me the most about Kamala Harris' candidacy and the Republican mudslinging at her is that, of all the insults they lob her way, that no one has come up with a specific one that I'd think they'd have put up by now... It must be because not everyone has as an encyclopedic knowledge of The Simpsons up until 2008 or so as I do. (I stopped watching several years ago, but early Simpsons? I'm your go-to girl). In one of the Halloween episodes, a parody of the film, Avatar, Bart Simpson (presumably older in the parody story) in the guise of an alien, gets shagged by an alien FE-MALE named KA-MA-LA! And gets her pregnant. The aliens are, of course, the green octopus-cyclops species commonly seen in the series, Kang and Kodos' people, whose Rigelian dialect is coincidentally identical to American English. But, yeah, I remember an alien monster named Ka-ma-la! in The Simpsons and I am so surprised that no one who wants to drag a politician through the mud isn't comparing her to a fictional slime octopus alien monster. It seems so obvious... But no one said that the MAGA were smart or culturally savvy. Or funny, like, at all. All they can do is call her a "childless cat-lady" when that was the old saw that's been going on since at least the 1900s anti-sufferage movement to insult women who wanted to have a voice in society and when she's you know, a mom.
