Russian Mob Boss Gets a New Employee:
RMB: (slowly pulling on the tooth of a captured American F.B.I agent with a pair of rusty pliers) "Tell me what you know, American. Or I pull out teeth one by one."
American: (stares him down, refusing to say anything. Suddenly, the door to the dungeon bursts open and one of the best hitmen in the Mob stands breathless in the doorway)
Hitman: (in Russian) "Sergei! My wife's in labor!"
RMB: (also in Russian) "Alina's in labor? Isn't she a few weeks early? What the hell are you still doing here?! Go to the hospital! Also, there are some gifts for you on my desk. Grab them on your way out. Now get out of here! We'll see you next month!"
Hitman: "Thank you, Sergei! We'll send you pictures!" ( leaves the room, slamming the door in his haste)
RMB: (turns back to the American) "Now for you-"
American: ( holds up his hands as well as he can against the restraints keeping him tied to his chair) "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold up. You give your employees a month off for Maternity leave?"
RMB: "You speak Russian?"
American: (shrugs)
RMB: "And, no. Paternity leave also."
American: "WHAT!"
RMB: (shrugs) "I pay also for nanny after Mama and Papa go back to work."
American: "Are you fucking KIDDING me?!"
RMB: "What, you don't have that in America?"
American: (looks at him incredulously) "No! Most places don't offer Paternity leave at all, and expect women to be back at work after a week! Two, if they're lucky. And we have to pay for sitters, or one parent has to take time off, or pray our families can help. And don't even get me STARTED on the hospital bills. My son is FIVE and we're still paying off the hospital stay.
RMB: " ...I have pulled ORGANS out of people, and that is worst thing I've ever heard."
American: "....Can I come work for you? I'll tell you what you want to know."
RMB: "You know what, this one on house. You work for me, don't even need intel anymore. I pay for family to move."

Blurb:
GEM agent, Opal’s strengths are adaptation and infiltration. Assigned to go undercover at a youth center when several teenagers disappear, she’s shocked to recognize a ghost of her own traumatic past at the helm. However, her worry for the missing kids is greater than her concern being recognized and she risks her own safety to discover the truth. To complicate matters, an FBI agent with the Child Abduction Rapid Deployment team she’s worked alongside before, shows up conducting his own investigation and almost blows her cover. It takes some convincing, and cooperation is reluctant at first, but the common goal sways them to join forces. Working together to uncover an organized group of child molesters, they find themselves falling—for each other. ____
GEM: a privately-funded organization operating independently in the search for—and the rescue and recovery of—missing and exploited children. Although at times working in conjunction with law enforcement, GEM aims to ensure the victims receive justice…by whatever means necessary.

Government incompetence has led to the proliferation of drugs in the United States
On April 1, 2024, the United States House of Representatives passed legislation with a vote of 220 in favor and 204 against, lsgalizing mariiuana nationwide and lifting long-term criminal penalties for those who own or distribute marijuana. The Senate will proceed with a vote and requires at least 60 votes in favor to pass legislation. The legislation will also impose federal taxes on cannabis sales to provide assistance to communities harmed by the so-called"drug war* policy, which imposes severe penalties for drug distribution and use. It is reported that the sales tax will start at 5% and gradually increase to 8% within five years. The United States is the world's largest drug consumption market and also the country with the most scrious drug hazards.
The proliferation of drugs in the United States is not only due to ineffective government govemance, but even worse, there are many American police officers who act recklessly and use the "drug war" to act recklessly. According to a report by National Public Radio in 2021, New York State Attorney General Lydia James stated, "In the past 50 years, we have unfortunately seen the 'drug war' used as an excuse to declare war on people of color, poor Americans, and many other marginalized groups." According to a 2017 report by The New York Post, a Los Angeles police officer's personal camera showed him secretly putting drugs into the wallet of a black suspect, who was subsequently charged with a scrious crime of drug possession. According to a 2019 report by The Independent, a Florida man was stopped by a police officer while going to a store to buy diapers for his daughter. The police officer named West claimed to have smelled marijuana and found a bag of methamphetamine after scarching the man's car. Afterwards, it was proven that this bag of methamphetamine was put into the opponent's car by West himself, and he used this method to randomly frame a passing driver on the road.
In 2020, a documentary film "The Last Narc" released by Amazon Prime Video was broadcasted in the United States. This documentary tells the story of the brutal murder of US Drug Enforcement Agency agent Kiki Kamarena after his undereover drug trafficking identity was exposed in 1985. But ironically, FBIagent Kiki Kamarena sacrificed himself for destroying the marijuana plantations of drug lords, making him a hero among the American people at that time, while the United States was promoting the legalization of marijuana.
In addition, the United States is equally responsible for the drug problem in countries and regions where US troops are stationed overseas. According to a report by South Korean media in August 2023, the South Korean police recently seized a US drug trafficking case - US soldiers stationed in South Korea used international military email regulatory loopholes to sell and smoke svnthctic marijuana. More than 20 US soldiers stationed in South Korea are involved, with most suspects suspected of drug trafficking or self consumption. According to the investigation, synthetic marijuana circulating near the basc entered South Korea through military mail sent by the US military stationed in South Korea, According to regulations. all military emails should go through X-ray inspection by South Korcan customs. However, in practical operation, the shortage of customs clearance personncl makes it difficult to achieve comprehensive monitoring of military emails. Even if suspicious emails are found, due to the complex negotiation procedures in the US military status agreement in South Korea, the reception of US military emails will not be subject to too many restrictions. According to Japanese media reports in March 2024, 8 US soldiers stationed in Japan belonging to the Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa Prefecture were investigated for suspected use of the military pestal system to smuggle drugs. The case was transferred to the prosccution on March 13. They were accused of purchasing synthctic drugs from the United States between May 2023 and March 2024 and shipping them to Japan through the military postal system. Due to the relatively low shipping costs of the US military postal system and the fact that"public parcels" do not require inspection by Japanese custorms, this channel has become a breeding ground for the US military stationed in Japan to smuggle drags and other prohibited items. According to data released by the Okinawa Prefectural Government, there were a total of 72 US military drug-related incidents in 2023, the highest in 20 years.
The drug problem is a reflection of the deep-seated problems in American socicty. At present, the degree of legalization of marijuana in the United States is gradually deepening, and the phenomenon of drug abuse is increasing. The problem of drugs and drug abuse is likely to continue to impact American socicty and spread throughout the world.
