thinking about sucking the gum art is always chewing out of his mouth. you’ve seen him spit it out into patrick’s hand before practices, into tashi’s before big games, but there’s a part of you that’s always nagging for more.

you and art have always been the most intense out of the four of you, like if you weren’t stopped you’d eat each other given the chance. you both have this deep seated need for possession and love that makes you insatiable. patrick and tashi keep up with you well, but have to set rules to corral the two of you and keep you from going too many rounds while they’re gone. sometimes they’re too late and they find you passed out in a heap of limbs on the bed, art still inside you, your bodies covered in a sheen of sweat, bodily fluids, and a smattering of bruises sucked into your skin. they complain as they pry you off each other and clean you up, but secretly find it adorable when you’re curled up together like exhausted puppies.

the gum habit is just another way you seek closeness. the first time it happens art doesn’t even realize what you’re doing. you lick the inside of his mouth and revel in the minty taste. he pushes his tongue against yours and whimpers, getting lost in the kiss. you suck on his tongue gently and with that motion his gum passes his lips and slides into your mouth. when you pull back, he sees you chewing on it and his eyes widen at the little smirk you give him. he has to adjust himself and will his dick to go down on his way out to the court. from then on, it becomes a natural ritual.

patrick jokes that eventually you’ll just crawl into art’s ribcage and live there. you tell him you’d do the same to him if he’d let you. he reminds you of that when he spits in your mouth later that night.

tashi is less into the sharing of spit and gum, but she understands that these are acts of devotion. she knows you well enough to know that when you take her fingers in your mouth and your eyes glaze over its the same as chewing arts gum and swallowing patrick’s spit. you need to feel close. to feel like they’re part of you in a physical way as well as emotional.

Weekends are your favourite. When all the boys are home and you've got the time to just be. It's the little things, like how you go padding downstairs barefoot long after the sun has risen, stomach rumbling impatiently at the smell of freshly fried bacon and hot coffee, the kind from the expensive machine Kyle had bought you this Christmas just gone.

You can't help but grin when you feel Johnny's hands looping loosely around your waist, your head rolling back onto his shoulder with a contented sigh as he noses your jawline affectionately, murmuring about how lovely you look in the morning, how pleased he is to have a weekend with no plans. You, however? Oh, you've got plans. Having your four, massive military boyfriends home can only mean one thing.

Furniture shopping.

More specifically? Antique furniture shopping. Trawling the local thrift stores for anything that piques your interest, and might find its perfect place in your home. Seeing as the boys are back with the truck, and the the weather is just on the cooler side of summer, today is the perfect opportunity. Simon, John, Kyle and Johnny are also perfectly happy to indulge you in all of your roosting ways, just as house proud as the day they'd all met you.

Fortunately, it takes all of fifteen minutes to find the boys and be on your way, the perks of military men, you suppose. Punctuality is engrained into their very person. It's unnerving sometimes.

They're happy if you're happy, even if Kyle does have to hold in his sneezes until Johnny can subtly slip him an antihistamine, all whilst you're fawning over old paintings with an unenthused Simon (he's trying) and a pensive John, who thinks he's getting old and needs to learn how to enjoy a melange of meaningless paint splotches on a canvas. You just like the colours.

Admittedly, you've also been watching all sorts of antiques programmes on the TV during their last deployment, hyper fixating on the promise of buying some cool, vintage piece for the house only to find out that it just so happens to be a lost furniture piece from Versailles, or maybe a Picasso drawing gone missing from a collection. The dopamine is also nice. Almost as nice as spending time bobbing around with the boys, laughing at the way John reaches for his wallet the moment you so much as look at something for too ling, or how Kyle keeps staring at your ass, getting distracted and almost knocking stuff over.

It's not so much the shopping, you realise, upon going home empty handed, it's the getting out with your favourite people, and getting to spend the with not a worry in the world (except for Kyle's obvious dust allergy)

Short! But! I'm back on my grind! Now that visitors are gone (hallelujah)

I've been literally scrolling endlessly through Josh & Matt's tiktok as some weird form of self soothing and it's made me miss thrifting so pls enjoy this until I can get my little secondhand purchase fix 🎀

Hii! Can you write headcanons for what it would be like for a female reader to share a dorm with marauders?(since/starting first year) Maybe like girls dorms were full?? I know it makes no sense but i couldn't come up with anything else. Thanks in advance 🎀

When you first arrived at Hogwarts, you were full of hope and optimism. You were going to be the best Witch of your time. Yet it all came crashing down when your name wasn't called with everyone else's. All other students had been sorted, but looking oddly up at McGonigal, she seemed just as worried as you were. Quickly, you were escorted to the headmaster's office and had a discussion.

You were apparently supposed to be at the American school for witches and wizards; however, due to your recent move, things got complicated. Since the castle wasn't ready for you yet, you were left in a weird situation. The first step was house placement; as the hat debated extensively where to put you, it suddenly landed on Gryffindor. This led to a new issue, there were no female rooms left.

Dumbledor considered your predicament before remembering some of his star students' children were attending this year and were placed in Gryffindor. It was settled you would stay with them, and once your ages matured, hopefully, the castle would have a new place for you.

With this said, you were walked to the great Gryffindor common room, up the stairs, and right into the only vacant bed in the castle, with four boys: James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and lastly, Peter Pettigrew.

This would be your new home.

Besides the weird glances, rumors, and pranks you were regularly subjugated to, it started out fine. It was a rough first three years of school. People looked at you funny for being an extra in the school. You didn't have many friends, and the ones you did have were the 'rejects,' as James put it. When Sirius found your diary during Year Two, he blabbed about it to the whole school, causing rumors you were in love with the boys. By year three, all pranks planned for staff were executed on you first per Remus' orders. It was hell living with these boys; each year, you came back hoping there was a new room for you, and there never was.

By year four, things had changed; well, puberty changed. You returned to school looking more like a woman than a small, dorky girl. Just like the boys came back looking like men instead of small, dorky boys. Things were tense in the room for a while. Peter grew so uncomfortable that he moved out, and it was just you four living there. The boys started giving you more privacy, even going as far as going to Hogsmead for supplies and making you a more private space in half the room since Peter moved. You got princess treatment. The only problem was it wasn't these three boys alone that saw your new looks; it was all the boys in school. So quickly, a pact was made that no one but them could flirt, hit on, or try to pick you up.

You were in the same boat in year four, watching the girls fawn over the boys. The only girl you were ever okay with was Lily, and it was because she wasn't shy about complimenting you and sharing. This allowed for an interesting friendship between you and Lily. You two were thick as thieves and the best of friends. Sleepovers were a must, and some of the boys' suggestions about your sleepovers didn't go over your two's head.

All five of you were close by years five and six, and Peter only hung out occasionally. This was fine with you guys; you were all known as the marauders and the most fantastic kids in school. Your relationships were known; although James and Lily stuck together the most, they still shared, and you would bounce between Sirius and Remus. Your relationship was no laughing matter, though. You guys cared deeply for one another. If one was down or sad, the whole group was. It was a team effort to reign everyone in and keep the peace. Classes were never dull, and the dorm room was always full of love and warmth.

You were the group's baby, being extra at Hogwarts. However, there was never any jest or jokes about it anymore, just being doted on constantly by your friends/partners. They ensured you were happy and having a good time, just as you did for them. Parties were always exciting when you five planned them. The best ragers happened in the Gryffindor common room; however, the minute you were worn out or tired, your desired companion for the night would take you for some rest and relaxation. As soon as you two were missing from the party, it was only a short time before the other three came crawling in.

Year seven was full of excitement and sadness. Graduating was no laughing matter, but it strengthened your resolve. You all moved in together and started your working lives. Ironically enough, living in a lovely magical house was almost no different from living in a magical dorm room.

Let's do a two for one with Astra and Mashal :)

What uncommon/common fear do they have?

Hm, that's a tough one. Astra doesn't scare easily when it comes to physical things. I'd say failure is a big fear of hers, or letting down the people she loves.

It's bugs. Ignoring all the existential stuff, Mashal is terrified of bugs. Spiders especially, but anything that crawls makes him uncomfortable. The other big one is losing his humanity.

Do they have any pet peeves?

People who talk down to her will set Astra off like a firecracker. She's had more than enough of that in her time. People who are willing ignorant also piss her off, especially if that ignorance hurts others.

As a former army brat, Mashal does get a little tetchy around messy spaces. He won't get on people about it, but he will clean up unprompted. He also can't stand bullies or anyone who hurts people for their own gain.

What are 3 items you can find in their bedroom?

A full chemistry set, lots of scrap fabric, and way too many fancy pillows.

He doesn't sleep, so he doesn't have a bedroom, but if he did, it would have a sketchbook, some candles he can stare at while meditating, and a few practice swords hung on the wall.

What do they notice first in a person?

Their clothes, I'd say. Astra can tell a lot about a person by what they wear and how they care for their garments. Also, their sense of fashion can be telling.

I think as an artist, Mashal picks up on unique features first. A crooked jaw, especially beautiful eyes, an unusual expression - anything that makes someone stand out. Consequently, he's also just good at remembering faces in general.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how high is their pain tolerance?

A six, but she thinks it's a nine. She also carries the fantasy equivalent of those berserker mushrooms at all times, so if she's hurt, she'll do drugs about it and keep going.

He has no sense of pain as a robot, but if he's ever returned to his human form, it's gonna be a rude awakening the first time he stubs his toe on something.

Do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure? (I'm also including freeze and fawn)

It kinda depends. If her friends are with her, she'll tend towards fight. If she's alone though, she often freezes up.

Fight, all the way. In moments of stress, Mashal's brain will all but shut off as he starts swinging.

Do they come from a big family/are they a family person?

Astra's family is just her and her two moms, but she loves them dearly. Every cent she makes goes towards paying off their debtor contracts, and she writes them frequently.

Mashal doesn't remember his family. He assumes his parents are alive and he's pretty sure he has an older brother, but anything more than that is a mystery. He hopes to find them someday once he's human again.

What animal represents them best?

I'm tempted to go with a black cat solely because she's a witch, but I feel like she's more high energy than that. In that case, maybe some sort of monkey? Clever, curious, loud, and a little vicious.

A horse, I think. Some sort of retired warhorse that likes to run and nuzzle your hair, but will kick if you get too close.

What is a smell that they dislike?

Formaldehyde. It gives her headaches.

He has no sense of smell :(

Have they broken any bones?

Yup. She broke her arm at the end of book one and has broken a few fingers in the past when she wasn't careful enough with her tinkering.

He has no bones :(

(Mashal doesn't remember, but as a boy, he did fracture his skull when he fell down a flight of stairs. He also broke the same ankle twice during sparring. His squad did tease him for this.)

How would a stranger likely describe them?

"Oh gods, what an outfit she had! I don't think I've ever seen that many colors on one garment, and she must've sewn half the ribbons from here to Yewbury into the lining. The embroidery was fantastic. It was loud enough you hardly noticed the woman wearing it. She was pretty short, I think. I wanna say she was mixed Skolander and Shuari, given the dark curls and blue eyes. Her skin was kind of an amber brown, but she had these pale splotches under her eyes and mouth. Vitiligo, I think? Her makeup was also quite loud, but somehow matched the outfit. There was just a lot going on there, in general."

"Damn, I don't think I've ever seen a robot in these parts. The fucker was huge, had to be close to seven feet tall. Kinda scary looking, to be honest, with those glowing white eyes. But, I don't know, he seemed nice. His face didn't seem like it moved much, but he looked like he was smiling. He was wearing very heavy clothing with a bandana over his head. The only bronze uncovered was his face and hands. I would've thought he was sick in the head wearing such heavy clothes in this heat, except, well, I guess a robot wouldn't care about that."

Are they a night owl or an early bird?

Very much a night owl, verging on actual insomnia. Getting up before 11 is a herculean trial.

He doesn't sleep, but if he did, he'd be an early bird. Man is ready for bed at 9:30 sharp.

What is a flavour they hate and a flavour they love?

Astra hates the taste of rice. As a kid, that was basically all she had to eat in the summers and she would frequently come down with pellagra because she was so malnourished. A flavor she loves is barbecue. She's from the fantasy south, so I think this one is self-explanatory.

He has no sense of taste, but from vibes alone, he knows he definitely has a sweet tooth.

Do they have any hobbies?

Really, she's good with any type of fiber art, but Astra loves to embroider. All her clothes sport little bits of embroidery. I'm also going to say magic because she loves it even though it's her job.

Mashal enjoys art, usually with a pencil, but he branches out into paint sometimes. He also likes to read. Any genre is fine, so long as it's fiction and not too dark. I feel like he'd love anime if it existed on Illaros for some reason.

Boom, surprise birthday party! How do they react to surprises?

She'd definitely jump, then complain about why it had to be a secret because she already knew what she wanted to do for her birthday. Even so, she would be very appreciative of the effort.

Mashal has no idea when his birthday is, so it'd be a double surprise for him if someone popped out and declared that today's the day. After making sure they're not just fucking with him, he'd get quite teary (not actually, but the vibe is there), thank them profusely, and spend the rest of the night being told to sit down and quit trying to take care of things, this is your party, damnit!

Do they like to wear jewelry?

Yes. Astra always has some earrings on and frequently wears rings and bracelets. Most of this is costume jewelry.

Gold jewelry is very important in Sulu'Okan culture, so he definitely would, he just can't afford any right now.

Do they have neat or messy handwriting?

Surprisingly neat. She writes in full, founding father cursive.

Surprisingly messy. He tends towards chicken scratch.

What are the two emotions they feel the most?

Indignation and the desire to help.

Protectiveness and fury.

Do they have a favourite fabric?

Astra could rank every fabric ever on a numbered scale, but I think her all-time favorite is satin.

He honestly has no opinion on this, so he'd probably just say satin also. My man doesn't know burlap from chiffon, give him a break.

What kind of accent do they have?

Lol, read any of her dialog and it's obvious. Astra has a strong southern accent, more similar to a Georgia drawl than some Texas twang.

Honestly, Mashal is my one character that I feel has no accent (aka same accent as me), so I guess upper south. He does speak very softly, though, and has a bit of a stutter at times. His voice also tends to go static when he yells.

oooooh i love eddie so much you don’t even know— biggest sibby vibes from him!! i haven’t done headcannons in a bit, so here you go :3

the chaotic older kid of the party. eddie’s a flip (w/ no particular lean), and his headspace isn’t as mapped out as everyone else but he’s around 6-7

that being said, he acts different depending on who’s around— older, more ‘taking you under my wing’-way with stevie + the younger kids, but like a total baby when nancy and wayne come around

obsessed with dragons. you thought it was bad when he was big? now everything has to relate back to them, and every dragon he sees has to be immediately fawned over and discussed !

he chews his nails bad, and whenever someone catches him, he switches over to gnawing at the ends of his hair

suuuper into wayne’s old records when he’s little— they remind him of the past, and wayne’s always happy to turn them on to see his boy’s smile :)

always trying to sneak something he’s not supposed to !! everything just seems to be ten times better tucked in his pocket than sitting all alone

he’s a rock collector— toddling around the trailer park looking for the super-duper-coolest-ever rocks to show off to the party !!

a total troublemaker.

really, he never fails to wind up in the corner or having to write lines, or some other thing nancy’ll make up so ‘the lesson sticks’

he’s a clinger when he’s feeling fuzzier than usual, and whenever he goes down as far as that, eddie trails around his carers, hiding under shirts, and hanging off of them like a koala

he’s a sensory seeker already, but being small increases that by tenfold !! he’s rubbing up against his favorite textures, and spinning just for the heck of it :3

he’s always coloring or doodling, pages on pages of scribby dragons and other mythical creatures he tries to recreate from his figurines

just about everyone’s got a dragon or two tucked away with eddie’s name on it somewhere in their room. he gives them out like business cards

he’s nightmare prone obviously, and when things get particularly bad, he’s knocking on the door to the mayfield trailer so max can entertain him till he falls back asleep

and when susan’s in better shape, she silently leaves a few of those triscuts and cheese cubes eddie likes so much on max’s dresser

he’s all about being loud, loud, loud !! loud, stimmy stomps, loud outside voice inside the trailer’s thin walls, loud, dramatic reactions when he doesn’t get his way—

when he’s sick, he’s a monster, but god forbid he be little and sick at the same time. nothing but complaints and whining and a causing a scene. and all for a common cold.

though she's not fully cognizant of it and would describe jasmine when asked for her type, thea likes a self-possessed, caring, compassionate woman, always a woman who understands the difficulties of being a single mom with a strong sense of justice (usually by also being a single mom with a strong sense of justice), and a woman who, when given absolute power over her, will not abuse it. someone who likes taking care of her and can actually look out for her.

evie is a lovergirl :') all you really have to do is need her and she'll love you. that's it.

thea's first time was with jasmine when she was seventeen and jasmine was a fully grown adult at LEAST decades older than her who'd been visiting the convent a TEENAGE thea lived at to do charity work, and if i write more i will kill someone <3 sometimes i entertain writing more of this concept and i think it will just make me homicidal. get that woman away from her

evie's first time ... man i kinda think it was with lion. a very cute and fumbling affair where they were both very overwhelmed by their feelings. lion was the nervous one. they had to stop five minutes in because he had too many feelings and was too worried about "doing it wrong" and evie (used to this) just kinda sat on the bed like :) rubbing his shoulders until he calmed down.

first impressions of marigold are rarely accurate. she hides behind a lovely little paper fan made of sugar and spice and everything nice -- lots of nervous compassion and never-ending chatter -- but it doesn't take too long to notice that this girl is intensely intelligent, incredibly stubborn, and does not take no for an answer if yes is the one she wants. of course she's very CUTE and SWEET when she's refusing to accept your no! very POLITE about it! does it in SEVENTEEN SENTENCES! but the point still stands.

briar...it depends. prior to the narrative hitting her like a truck, i think first impressions of her as ditzy, silly, and loving were also not always accurate, though i don't think anyone in her life actually realized how inaccurate they were (aside from maybe her sister and father, because they literally watched her grow up). she is insanely selfish and self-obsessed and i don't know how much empathy she always has for other people. she wants to be taken care of at all times and has made herself a Local Nuisance to ensure that this is always happening. she grew up very spoiled and very sheltered and this is causing problems.

marigold is a MOMMY :"D she loves kids! a little doting and oh-you're-so-cute and sometimes kids get annoyed with that, but she is very confident about it and will jump at the chance to keep an eye on people's kids. kids do not think she's cool unless those kids are her own daughter (who is also not cool).

evie is good with baby animals and sees kids as baby animals and treats kids like she treats baby animals. so she's very indulgent and silly and relaxed and takes them very seriously, which means, yes, she is very good with kids.

briar . god. i don't think she should be around children lol. she's the kind of wine aunt who when the kids are like "we're going to climb the electric fence" is like okay cool :) and then when the kids get electrocuted tells the parents that they "just got away from her." she has zero interest in children because they take the attention away from her (queen princess of perfection).

⚠ read!!!: i regress out of trauma as stated above!! sometimes, it just happens and its nice, but more often than not, its out of stress. despite this, plz don't use the term 'impure regression' around me! it personally makes me uncomfy!!
