marylily headcanons because they truly consume all my waking thoughts: 

over the summer of third year Lily had gotten braces, and had to leave once a month to go the dentist. Every time she came back with a different colour on her teeth, Mary was the first and only person who noticed and complimented her. (Again yes this is because I have braces) 

They were the kind of people who talked about anything and everything just to bond together. They would not STOP talking about something passionate to them. Once they spent a whole 12 hours discussing feminism and the effects of white feminism 

Lily always wore a gold heart necklace made of pearls and Mary always wore a silver chain necklace with stars. Mary was a gold girlie and Lily a silver girlie, but they always wore those bc they loved each other <3

THEY HAD THE FUCKING WEIRDEST HALLOWEEN COSTUMES ISTG. Like they always matched together but it would be insane random shit. Once Mary was a shark and Lily a half bitten human, emphasis on the BITE wound

Mary was scared of the dark, so whenever they cuddled she had a little night light and Lily had to wear 2 sleeping eye masks to sleep properly (eventually Mary got over it lol cause she was with Lily) 

Mary’s patronus was a moth and Lily’s was a butterfly. Nobody shut up about it for a long long time

They had an open concept flat but it was filled to the BRIM with little trinkets and everything they could find. Every little drawing Harry had drawn of their little family was hung up on the ‘Harry Wall’ (btw their little family was Mary, Lily, Marlene, Sirius, James, Regulus, Pandora, everybody. He tried so hard to draw them it was cute)

Once they had to share their apartment with Dorcas and Pandora, and they all passed around Harry because he loved Pandora so muchhh (this is turning into a marylily raises Harry… anywayssss)

Mary was the unhinged obsessed with fandoms, while Lily was a casual enjoyer

There are like 4 power couples in hogwarts and let me list them (my hc!):

(just btw these aren't in order lol, just the 4 ships i think are amazing and have amazing power) (also what does power couple rlly mean? im just going of the power bit, so i don't really know)

Quillkiller (rita x bellatrix). Like you don't even need to argue on this omg. Bellatrix is an amazing wizard, and she's so good at cursing people, and imo really protects those she truly loves. Rita is literally the head of that newspaper thingy (The Daily Prophet?), and also you cannot say that she would be the perfect person to stalk the people that Bellatrix wants to hurt...

Next up! Lily x Dorcas, ofc this is both because they are amazing wizarding world figures, and they would 100% be academic rivals in anything and everything. They were literally the most powerful wizards, and everyone knew them just bc of how they made a room change (imo) (did i make this whole post to talk abt them? yes ofc)

Marylene. like this is the Power Couple™ like Mary Macdonald, the party girl, the gryffindor girl everyone knows even though she's not that popular + Marlene Mckinnon, amazing at quidditch and also is amazing at everything!! (GRR I'M JEALOUS OF THESE FICTIONAL CHARACTERS)

Nobleflower. Boom. No need for explanation but I will explain. Alice is also very amazing very strong very wow quidditch girl, who loves gossiping, like will not shut up about other ppl, whether it be good gossip or bad gossip, or even fucking random ass quidditch gossip from her friends on quidditch teams + Narcissa who everyone knows and everyone is so jealous of her "picture perfect" life, and everybody wants to be her, bc honeslty who wouldn't. And also they would both 100% gossip about people while drinking tea (and not eating bagels), and then like go make flower crowns

Some of my marauder head canons:

Lily and Sirius would so be besties just bc of the fact they bond over sibling issues.

James and Marlene were childhood best friends, and they never stopped just blabbing random shit to each other.

Mary and Remus would always hang out together and bond over anything and everything.

Regulus and Pandora would do crazy potion stuff together and invent new things

Dorcas and Barty would do batshit crazy things to impress who they liked at that time, or just do batshit crazy things in general

Evan and Dorcas would go around terrorising teachers

Peter and Pandora would sit down and have nice games of chess and the most random conversations about plants and chess moves

HEADCANON OF THE DAY #13 (14?): (I messed up the dates it is #14 sorry :/ ) (marylily + jegulus raising Harry)

They all lived really close by, and it wasn’t really a ‘normal’ kind of you know divorced parents situation for Harry. A lot of the time he would just see all of them in the same area at the same time, but as he got older they made it week by week and since they were close by he had a whole closet of clothes in each house. When he was with Mary and Lily he would gossip and chill and all his friends would fall for their mom charm. When he was with James and Regulus he would be Emo Teenager and all his friends would fall for them as well. (His parents made everybody think if they’re bi, even when his parents were in his 50s)

While I really like the fact that Remus is a big wussy who is pushed around a lot and cannot stand up for himself, I don't really think that's true. In my opinion, while Remus is very scared of his anger and he tries his hardest to keep the peace, to stay calm, he doesn't like wasting his energy being nice to people who don't deserve it. When James and Sirius were massive dicks in school, Remus didn't care too much because they were his friends until it directly affected him with the prank. Because of the prank, Remus had gone off on Sirius hard, he knew it would've been Sirius who had done it from the second he saw Snape, because Sirius was mean like that.

He had gotten so mad at Sirius. he had regretted it, but he didn't waste his time and energy on going back to Sirius and apologizing, he sat in his guilt, knowing he truly felt like a monster.

Another thing about how Remus didn’t care too much if bad things happened to bad people is Snape. Like James and Sirius bullied him heavily, and Remus didn’t care to stop them. In these instances I think it’s because of the fact that he lets bad things happen to bad people. For other people who didn’t do anything, it’s because he’s too much of a wuss to say anything, but with people like Snape it’s because he doesn’t care.

Remus Lupin would dog ear books, Lily would gasp and cry and say he’s ruining book. Regulus Black would annotate books on the pages, Lily would cry and cry and say he ruined the book. Lily annotated her books on clear sticky notes and always have a bookmark on her, she was one of those girlies that would hate even dog ear-ing for two minutes or putting down the book upside down. If she didn’t have a bookmark she would memorise the page number

HEADCANON OF THE DAY #5: (noble flower!!!)

Alice would be obsessed with bugs and insects and invertebrates all the like, but Narcissa was TERRIFIED of them. When they moved in together and Alice hesitantly showed Narcissa the cutest lizard ever, and it was called Cissa, just like Narcissa. From that moment onwards Narcissa loved all the bugs and insects Alice had, and always helped her find new ones

Marylily headcanon (finally posting what my url is acc abt!!) They had matching heart necklaces! they HAD MATCHING EVERYTHING, MATCHING JEWERLLY, MATCHING MUGS, MATCHING SOCKS EVEN. it was very cute, but also confusing when they started living together because they always wore the wrong thing and it wouldn't fit them at all. <3

Lily Evans would 100% help her friends with homework, but only when they’re sick. Other than that she would refuse, saying they need to understand it themselves, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to learn.

MARAUDERS ERA GIRLS AND THE INSTRUMENTS THEY WOULD PLAY: (p1)

Lily: She would play the cello. Because she loved it since she was a little kid and when she finally got the money to get one she was so excited and happy she would not shut up about it for MONTHS.

Mary: She would love her acoustic guitar, take it everywhere it is acceptable to start playing. It was always in her car, and she painted some cute lilies on it for her Lily.

Marlene: Marlene tried starting her own band but it never worked out, because of that she had her beloved electric guitar, named Cas after her girlfriend. It was bright pink with a flame design.

Pandora: Pandora plays the harp. She loves the vibes and she has one she made mini to play some funny sound effects whenever she wants to. Her big harp in her house is amazing and seems magical and ethereal. She also knows how to play the piano but she doesn't really like it.

Dorcas: C'mon we all know she has a matching electric guitar with her girlfriend Marlene. The guitars name is Marls, and it's purple with a flame design, she barely uses it though, it's like Marlene's second guitar.

Emmeline: She can play a number of instruments and has all of them in her house, but her favourite one is the flute. The flute that she learnt from 4th grade muggle classes, and all she can remember is hot cross buns but she loves her flute so much she adores it.

Emma: She does not play an instrument, she would rather die. Literally. Once her mother tried to force her to learn the drums and she literally exploded. 💥💣🤯

Sybill: She plays like an insane amount of instruments that are cool & interesting. Omnichord, Otomatone, Nose flute, Clarinet, violin, name something and she probably plays it. She also has a mini version of every single instrument she plays. Once she had a prediction that her house was going to burn down so she carried all her instruments around mini, her house didn't burn down but her instruments were stuck small, so she bought new ones.

Narcissa: Piano. That's all she plays, she much rather prefers drawing, so she has drawing stuff everywhere, she painted and drew all over her grand piano, and she coloured all the keys (idk how it would work) and did cute patterns on them. All the A keys were coloured with Alice's favourite colour <3

Andromeda: Piano &

Bellatrix: The only instrument she knows is the piano, and that was by force (a lot of force). She hates playing the piano, but she knows how to. The piano in her house haunts her (it was a gift from her dad...), she never looks at it, it's covered up.

Alice: We all know that Alice loves her good old drum kit, she learnt ages ago and somehow still remembers it. She always plays for Naricssa, and she used to be in Marlene's 'band'. Thank god it never worked out because Alice hated playing in front of people.

HEADCANON OF THE DAY #12: (12!!) (This one is canon…) (MARY MACDONALD MY BOO!!!)

After Lily and James had died, Sirius had gone to Azkaban and Peter ‘died’, she went to visit Remus. Visiting Remus made her realise how alone he would be without her, but halfway through that, Dumbledore came in. He told her that she wasn’t safe anymore, even if Voldemort was ‘gone’. She was forced to leave to the muggle world, but never forgot about bright red hair. She never forgot she was just too scared to Dumbledore to come back, he said he wanted to oblivaite her and she should be happy he didn’t. She didn’t wanna forget the memories

HEADCANON OF THE DAY 18: (jegulus)

YOU CANNOT TELL ME RHEY DIDNT LISTEN TO SAD MUSIC TOGETHER AND PLAY QUIDDITCH TOGETHER. Because they did, at the same time. And played a thing called ‘wasted quidditch’ which I made up, where you basically play quidditch while you’re so fucking drunk. Once they were playing it and Regulus fell and James barely caught him, but did, then they both fainted on the pitch.
