Fabrication

#mondaymotivation- After the success of our #cardboardcatwalk2019 last week, today was the start of the #fabrication project, encouraging us to reuse, recycle and reduce in the fashion industry

 We had  just 1 hour to turn a pile of old clothes and fabrics into a sculpture with NO CUTTING or destroying the pieces.  There were 10 people per team, all mixed ages and on different courses, so it was a great team-building activity too. We decided on an Octopus and assigned each person a tentacle and two on the head.

Patterned fabrics (including camouflage) was a great allegory for the amazing ability of the Octopus to change its appearance to blend in with it’s surroundings.
