AU where Iroh convinces Zuko to be the next Fire Lord MUCH earlier in the series. Zuko, who hasn't been in formal education since was 13yo, understandably panics. He barely remembers his lessons on How To Be the Fire Lord, and they were all focused on how to rule during wartime. Not peace. What does an international peace treaty even LOOK like and how does one go about making it???? How does trade work when you're NOT trying to eradicate every other nation????

Book 3 Zuko spends all of his time teaching Aang firebending, interrogating the other members about their culture's traditions and politics, going on Blue Spirit journeys to raid any passing libraries, and reading everything he can get his hands on. He barely eats. He doesn't sleep. He's info dumping about the DRIEST political texts. The gaang are THIS close to holding an intervention or having Toph sit on him until he sleeps.

yaaaayayaay my dnd character literally stabbed a valued ally in the back, because she's scared and someone from a mindbogglingly powerful organization ordered her to do it or they'd do something even worse to her and her loved ones and they were an authority and she believes in authority and they gave her the perfect opportunity to do it (showing that they're Watching) so she did it and now she feels so so so guilty and she's lying to everyone about it, even her own party, her own friends, and trying to convince even herself of the lie- but on the other hand... this organization has promised her power, more power than she's ever ever had as a run-of-the-mill lower noble lady, so powerful that she might be able to use it to protect her entire realm from destruction. to be the Right ruler. and don't the ends justify the means?

August family lore anyone? I’m too tired to go too in depth about it right now (though if anyone is curious to learn more please feel free to send asks!!! Would love to chat abt them) but tldr is that Jack (August’s dad) left August with her grandpa for him to raise after his wife and her mother died. Years later he ends up marrying one of his coworkers and starts a family with her but then his new wife finds out he has a daughter he just completely abandoned and demands for her to be included. It’s a hot mess situation and everyone’s miserable! Yay!

i know i tend to think of malcolm as the calm one because natasha self-immolated to kill a bunch of vampires (and likely to avenge what she thought was her newly murdered son) but i do think that he has the capacity to go truly scorched-earch for baz if he had to. in his own way.
