Aside from the base (I need to do bases for things all at once because that's a different mess than just painting!), she's all done. ⠀ ⠀ This was a ton of fun and I still want to know where this mini came from. So my boyfriend reposed her upward arm for me and when he was done, there were plier marks all over her arm so I tried to make it look like she has scars. Perhaps that glove she has is a cursed magical item?⠀ ⠀ She's larger than our 40k minis but not by too much, so I'm not sure what scale she is. But I had fun and I learned a lot doing her! I know I need to get faster at minis but compared to every other medium that I've done, I DO go pretty quick! I learned some things with her. ⠀ ⠀ First - a new lamp and a natural light bulb make a BIG difference. *Slaps myself in the forehead*⠀ ⠀ Second - the next time I do a gradient like the cloak, I should highlight and shadow in black and white and then gradient the colors over it! ⠀ ⠀ Third - I love highlighting things XD⠀ ⠀ And we found a treasure trove this last weekend! My wonderful BF built us a huge table that will ultimately be our gaming table, but until he builds us desks too, it's our work table. So I pulled out some old Space Marines boxes he had and what did I find? Minis of mine that we primed years ago when we first got together and first wanted to try getting into mini painting (we bought a box of Citadel's that were all dried up and never got more paint at that point because we were disheartened). Completed Kesiandra the alraunes of Aprax are great repositories of knowledge being that they are functionally immortal and even gain the knowledge of their direct parents (what they had at the time) as generations go on the gene memory gets fuzzy. The main problem for most people is not many exist and those that do are almost exclusively in deep Aprax feeding off of creatures and necrotic energy.
