Ok so update for the turnip28 pike and shotte project I need to get better pics at some point total force is 15 units of foot(456) , 3 units of cav (around 30) and one lonely cannon

Taking a small break to do other projects though I’ve already started on a 20 lancer cav unit for the second cav Battalion

While I much prefer to make brighter minis, I’ve always wanted a go at trying todo a Turnip28 mini. While it’s still brighter than most lol, I’m really happy with it’s style and basing.

Turnip28 is a grimdark setting where root-vegetable people fight each other in muddy lands, he’s a carrot man!

I've started a tank for the Quar's War. It's mostly done already, but it still needs that flower and some numerical designations I think.

The Serenade, for Pride Month!

Painted up The Serenade by Bad Squiddo Games for Pride Month. I thought this was a really cute vignette of a couple of Soviet girlfriends enjoying a tender moment together

They've also got a little picnic going which is very sweet

It's my first time using John Hodgson backdrops as well, so I'm still getting used to the lighting there! Here's another shot from my usual lightbox as a comparison

Deep within the Imperial Palace on Holy Terra, the Emperor's loyal Custodes keep alive one of his favorite traditions from before the Age of Strife, the Pride Parade.

I've been looking for a good Fabstodes mini for a while now. I backed an Indiegogo for physical minis years ago and then promptly misplaced them.

But when Wargame Exclusive released some last month I had to paint them. The timing of it makes me think they knew exactly what they were doing.

I had this idea for quite a long time; basically, after Endsong events, I think it's only logical that some number of CA aliens would appear among O12 forces.

(also, my Nomads got smacked HARD by N5 vanilla armies changes, soooo will probably start O12 as my new army, with a few more token Combines, obviously)

Spent the afternoon making bases for Black Knights/Hexwraiths in my Nighthaunt army. I’m not sure what happened to the cobblestones but they didn’t turn out as I was planning. They still look ok though, and loosely match the bases in the rest of the army.

I’ll be looking to get the unit painted soon, but for now it’s back to more Genestealer Cult characters.
