DRDT Chapter 2 Episode 13 episode is premiering in 6 days, here's my predictions before it premiers.

This is mostly going to be speculation, though some of this will be based on facts not all of it will.

Lets knock off the obvious first, Levi is going to trauma dump. (OK, the rest of this is less obvious) I'm guessing he either killed one of his family members or a family friend. Levi said his family were a bad influences, so maybe they were all toxic to each other? Due to this Levi ends up killing one of them (or their friend) due to them attacking him emotionally (or physically). The secret does say that he's a murderer, not just that he killed, which means that what he did was illegal and thus not in self defense. If it was in self defense the murder itself wouldn't be in self defense if that makes since. This would explain why Levi was then cut off, since he's a threat to the family, though since he said it was better this way it could be that the toxicity was connected to him somehow. Maybe his mother died giving birth to him which caused the family to blame him

I think Levi would also be proven not the killer due to how obvious it is, and his murder would probably be explained in a way that shows he wouldn't just kill in cold blood. Like maybe a scenario above, this isn't to say that'll justify his murder but that he not as much of a threat as he'd seem. I'm pretty sure part 2 is suppose to be long so having the murderer be revealed now would be strange too.

Considering the CG shown, I think Teruko is probably going to go over how the murder was conducted. It's important to note that Arei could've been strangled and then hanged in a way to look like she had committed suicide. Assuming Arturo is correct in analyzing her dead body, even if Arturo isn't the killer we have to keep in mind he's a plastic surgeon, like Arturo says his job isn't analyzing dead bodies (or how ever he words it, I don't remember) so we should take his account with a grain of salt. He could always get something wrong due to his lack of knowledge in this subject. Due to this I don't think him getting stuff wrong necessarily means he's doing it on purpose either.

guys i was just struck with a thought…so a few people have predicted that the first death of p:eg (or at least one of the deaths) will occur in the boiler room due to the emphasis put on the conductivity of the water. because of the game’s references to famous paintings, if this comes true, i wonder if this death will mirror the ophelia painting:

not just in the visual sense but it could also be symbolic. these are all just random shots in the dark (im not an art history expert) but maybe the victim went mad and was ultimately killed by their own childishness and lack of composure? what if this victim is like a martyr? also like ophelia’s death, it could be unclear if this death was an accident or not. the possibilities are endless but these are just my silly thoughts lolol

Chapter 1! Who murdered HotDog Person? (CW: flashing gif, gore, blood)

[NO ONE'S POV]

A melody played all around the RV at 7:30 AM. Uncle Grandpa woke up in the same area where he discovered the corpse of HotDog Person. He took one peek at the dead body. Blood and brain matter are still all over the place. Pizza Steve woke up next to the bush where he threw up in. He heard Uncle Grandpa's quiet sobbing and hesitated to check up on him. He ended up reluctantly helping Uncle Grandpa up before a morning announcement was made.

"A body has been discovered! After you find evidence and chat about the culprit, or blackened as I call it, you all may report to the trial room for a group trial!" Monokuma announced. "Jesus, who would've been so demented to do something like this?" Pizza Steve asked Uncle Grandpa. Everyone arrived in time as Uncle Grandpa started to get used to seeing the dead HotDog Person. He took a deep breath and moved out of the way for the 16 other people to take a look at the gruesome crime scene.

"W-who would've done such a th-thing...?" Silk asked, with her hand on her mouth. "Oh... My god." Mr. Gus spoke while shuddering. Frankenstein groaned; "Yes, unfortunately." Mr. Gus then noticed the bloody metal bat that was used for the murder. He did a close inspection and grabbed it off the floor. "Hey, what are you doing?" Pizza Steve asked.

"Shh, we could use this as evidence. Maybe we can find a way to see who's fingerprints by looking at it." Mr. Gus answered, bringing the bat close to Pizza Steve's face. The ginger-headed man looked away as fast as he could. "But HOW does one do that, Mr. G?" Mooon Man asked, fiddling with his hoodie strings. Mr. Gus pondered for a moment before answering.

"I-I don't know..." He stuttered. Mooon Man's shades went down to his nose, revealing his dark green pupils when he heard Mr. Gus say that. "Pu-Hu-Hu!" a laugh interrupted the busy jungle area.

Monokuma appeared behind Uncle Grandpa. "Boo!" he said, scaring the old man. Monokuma had a quick chuckle after playing the prank and faced his direction at Mr. Gus, holding the bloody bat. "Well, Well, Well! The "ultimate" philosopher doesn't know what to do! I thought you were the smartest! Hmm, looks like we need a... TINY MIRACLE to figure this one, chief." he mockingly said and waited for the robot boy to come. "Did somebody say-" Tiny Miracle attempted to continue before getting interrupted by the half-dark rainbow, half-white bear.

"See if you can find the fingerprints, I'm going back to my office," he said before dashing out. "Continue the investigation!" Tiny Miracle took the bat out of Mr. Gus's hand and used his high-tech fingerprint-scanning vision on it. Before he could reveal the culprit's fingerprints, a piece of paper fell onto his head. He picked it up and read it.

"Oh dear, we can't reveal this until the group trials," he said in a sad tone. The group looked at the body and started looking for clues about who did the deed. Mooon Man held Flame Fieri's hand tightly as they helped each other by putting some of the brain matter into a plastic bag for scientific reasons (as told by Tiny). Pizza Steve looked the other way and tried ignoring them as he walked around the body "writing" things down in a notebook. "Hey, look out Pizza Steve. There's glass over there." Eart warned Pizza Steve, pointing at a broken pair of glasses. He looked down at the ground and crouched. "Bro, whose glasses are these?" He spoke, catching the gang's attention. Aunt Grandma took the glasses off the ground and looked at the gang. “These oddly resemble the ones CheesePuff Mike wears.” She muttered.

"Huh, and I just noticed that he isn't even here, how strange." She said, confusing them. "Wait, she's right..." Strawberry Moe-chi said before looking everywhere and started panicking. "WHERE"S CHEESEPUFF MIKE?" she yelled.

"You don't think it might be him, right?" Eart asked. Most of the group looked at each other in concern. "I mean, he is a huge meanie-head, but I don't think he would ever kill anybody outside of any shooting game he plays." Uncle Grandpa answered. "Uncle Grandpa, these glasses seem to belong to him, and he looks like somebody who would commit hundreds of thousands of war crimes." Seph jokingly commented as Uncle Grandpa caught sight of a piece of ripped clothing on the soft, grassy ground. Cheese dust was on it, heavily indicating the fault of the fat troll disguised as a human being.

Uncle Grandpa gasped and put his hand in his mouth. “So it IS him…!” He uttered. Beary Nice picked up the ripped clothing and inspected it. Suddenly, a human-sized trash bag fell on the floor followed by Monokuma. He opened the bag to let out a mortified CheesePuff Mike. “Damn you!” He shouted after being let out. “Pu-Hu-Hu! You can thank me later, Cheesy! I’m just here to see what kinds of evidence you all found!” Monokuma declared. Aunt Grandma and Beary Nice brought out the glasses and the ripped clothing piece to the robotic bear. “Hmmm, well that’s good enough. But what about THAT thing next to HotDog Person’s feet?” He said as he pointed to a recorder. “Huh?” Beary Nice said as he crouched and picked it up.

”What could be recorded in THIS old junk?” Pizza Steve commented. “Who cares? We’re running out of time, let’s start the class trial now!” Monokuma shouted as he pushed everybody out of the jungle area into the living room. “Go into here.” He said as he pulled the curtain to, what was the driving area, to an old elevator.

[UNCLE GRANDPA’S POV]

I looked at two of my best friends, Pizza Steve and Belly Bag, as they shrugged in union and went inside the elevator. Everyone, including me, went inside as well and Monokuma pushed the button going down and threw a glitter bomb on the floor, disappearing alongside the glitter.

”I don’t like it here anymore, Mr. Gus. The RV’s been turned into a killing game royale. I don’t want to die…!” I whispered to Mr. Gus. He assured me that maybe everything will be fine as long as we stick together and survive and that made me a little bit better, but not enough when I started questioning myself about what will happen at the trial and what will happen to CheesePuff Mike. “Hey, c’mon, Uncle Grandpa. You're the main character, nothing’s gonna happen to you.” Seph said as she bumped her elbow on my shoulder.

”While that is true, there are still a lot of stories where the main character or characters do die.” Mr. Gus informed Seph. They chuckled and put their hand on her hip. “Oh yeah, name 30.” Seph said in a joking matter. “Okay. Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar, Macbeth, Atonement by Ian McEwan,” Mr. Gus started listing the stories that Seph jokingly commanded him to do. I shook my head and looked at Pizza Steve, Mooon Man, and Flame Fieri having a conversation.

”If I die, I’m not letting anybody get any shit from me. It’s PIZZA STEVE’S stuff, not anyone else’s!” Pizza Steve said. “Well, can I atleast get like an old shirt from you?” Mooon Man asked. Pizza Steve shook his head and crossed his arms. “How about that black and grey checkered notebook from your desk? I just like the cover, man.” Flame Fieri begged. Pizza Steve got madder and shook his head a second time. “FUCK no.” He said as pushed his hair out of his face. “That has Pizza Steve’s darkest secrets, not as you’d know.” Flame Fieri’s begging expression turned into confusion. “What kinds of secrets?” He asked.

”Deez nuts, how about that, huh?” Pizza Steve joked and turned away from the two. Mooon Man started laughing after hearing that joke. Flame did a facepalm and groaned. “That wasn’t even fucking funny!” He said as he shook his head.

Ding! The elevator door opened to reveal a trial room with 19 seats, with one that Monokuma was sitting on. “Good morning, my wonderful friends! Sit down and we can start deciding who killed Hot Dog boy!” He shouted. “HotDog Person” Beary Nice corrected the robot bear as he took a seat. He just laughed. “Tomato, tomato, what’s the difference?” Monokuma said. After everybody was seated, it was finally time for the group trial to begin.

I started shaking and heavily sweating in my seat. I KNOW who killed HotDog Boy PERSON, but I’m afraid he might blame somebody else! I’m so scared…

[NO ONE’S POV]

“Alright, let’s do another quick evidence check,” Monokuma said as he pulled out a bag with all the evidence everyone found. “We all already know the glasses, the clothing piece, AND the recorder, but we should know the other things you all have found. First up, a bag of brain matter. If you see closely in it, you could find a… microchip?” Monokuma said as he started passing around the plastic bag. “Wait a minute, THIS isn’t a microchip.” Belly Bag said as he pulled out a pair of tweezers painted black and green out of the brain matter-filled bag.

“That’s mine, sorry.” Flame said as he grabbed the tweezers and went back to his seat. “Next up, a few strands of brown hair and red hair,” Monokuma said. “Brown hair… Hmm.” Silk uttered and looked at CheesePuff Mike, who was blushing profusely out of embarrassment.

”Is something the matter, Michael?” She asked. “NO, F-FUCK OFF!” CheesePuff Mike said. “AND DON’T CALL ME THAT GAY ASS NAME!” He started heavily breathing and calmed down in a matter of seconds. “Let’s get back on track! Here we have the weapon used for the murder.” Monokuma said as he pulled out the metal bat from before, except the blood was cleaned off. “I cleaned it just in case. TINY MIRACLE! Can you give me the fingerprint scan?” Monokuma ordered Tiny Miracle. He gave the bear the paper. Monokuma read it and had a big grin form across his robot face.

”Say, these fingerprints look exactly like… CHEESEPUFF MIKE!” Monokuma shouted. Everyone went silent. “Uhh, dude, we already know that.” Pizza Steve commented. CheesePuff Mike shook his head. "No, you don't! It's... It was the guy with the..." He cluttered as he panicked. "YOU DON'T KNOW WHO THE REAL CULPRIT IS! CHECK THE RECORDER! HONEST TO GOD, IT WASN'T ME!!" Monokuma ignored his cries and passed the recorder to Uncle Grandpa. "Press play, Uncle G." Monokuma whispered. Uncle Grandpa unwillingly did so and played the recordings infront of everyone.

The first message said; "N'yollll! I just won the fight! Now that lame-o, Uncle Grandpa, is traumatized! Hashtag YOLO! L + Ratio! Fuck you, Uncle Grandpa! Walking with hotdogs still SUCKS and you are GAY!"

The second message said; "I'm back. Just wanted to say how much I wanna punch Uncle Gay-pa's friends. First of all, Pizza Steve is a tranny (AN: I can reclaim that cuz I'm trans) and he is ugly! Secondly, Mr. Gus is lame and stupid! Third, The big cat tiger girl is dumb and smells like pussy! Fourth, Belly Bag is mid! Coming from the giga-chad himself, CheesePuff Mike!"

The third and final message said; "Also, everyone is a bitch except for Aunt Grandma cuz she's sexy AND hates Uncle Grandpa as much as I do!"

Everyone slowly started staring at CheesePuff Mike as he began sweating profusely. "OH ALRIGHT, YOU STUPID CUNTS, I'LL TELL YOU EVERYTHING!" He shouted.

[FLASHBACK TO THE NIGHT BEFORE.]

"I was looking for a place to sleep and found the HotDog guy about to sleep in the jungle." CheesePuff Mike narrated. "But I wanted to sleep there, so I beat the shit out of him. He tried to fight back, but I hit him with the bat..." CheesePuff Mike finished bashing HotDog Person in the head and dropped the metal bat. He teleported out of the jungle before Uncle Grandpa and everyone else who heard the murder and into the living room where he went back to pondering about where to sleep. He felt something tug on his beige jeans and turned around to see the small robotic bear. "Good job, CheesePuff Mike. You are the first to kill somebody!" He whispered. 

"Oh, don't congratulate me, I did what I had to do for a place to sleep." CheesePuff Mike said. "Well, why aren't you sleeping over there?" Monokuma asked. "I heard somebody come over there, so I used that weird ass teleporter to get out of here." He answered as Mr. Gus woke up on the couch next to Seph. "What's going on he-" Cheesepuff Mike suddenly smothered Mr. Gus with a pillow, but didn't kill him. Mr. Gus passed out from nearly losing his breath.

[END OF FLASHBACK]

"I remember you smothering me, but I didn't know YOU were the blackened." Mr. Gus said as CheesePuff Mike rolled his eyes. "And you call yourself the ultimate philosopher. Aren't they supposed to be, I don't know, SMART?" He muttered to Moe-Chi, who was sitting next to him. "Leave me alone." She muttered back. "Okay, well I guess I'll start spinning this conveniently-placed wheel on the table to see who really IS the blackened!" Monokuma exclaimed and pushed a lever down and the wheel began to spin. Unsurprisingly, the arrow on the wheel landed on CheesePuff Mike.

"I THOUGHT YOU WERE PROUD OF ME! I KILLED HIM JUST FOR... err..." CheesePuff Mike screamed. He started panicking. "LET'S GIVE IT EVERYTHING WE GOT, ITSSSSSSS PUNISHMENT TIMEEEEEEEEE!" Monokuma exclaimed. CheesePuff Mike started crying and screamed; "NOOOOOO!"

okay, i wasn't originally going to reblog with a written section of my own (though i was obviously always going to with tags) just for the secrecy of it all, but there was something you brought up that tickled me, and i wanted to share. specifically, it's about number Ten.

at the end of your section about him, you said:

I wonder if "Ultimate Romantic" could be a valid talent, because that's the vibe he's giving me. Hey, I've seen weirder! If not, then I don't have many guesses of what he could be :p

on that front, i have good and bad news.

if you were Deep In The Accirax Lore (by which i mean you were following me in *checks notes* february 2020 and somehow remembered this post, which by all accounts would literally just be me), you might recall this post in which i talked about "obsessing over my own fanganronpa game." and, the first character depicted in that post...

was Aika Agatsuma, the Ultimate Romantic! she was part of the Ultimate Couple with Nobuyuki, the Ultimate Lover :)

(in terms of future av-multifangan lore, we'll call this game our 0th fangan. it was never written, and it never will be for reasons i could explain, but won't on this post because that's neither here or there. sorry, characters!)

so while the good news is that you were totally on the right track with determining that "weirder" talents are totally ones that we would come up with, the bad news is that i'll have to de-confirm the exact phrasing of "Ultimate Romantic" for #10. we haven't repeated ourselves on talents that the main series didn't use multiple times yet!

also, while i'm in this reblog...

Wizardry 8 is a video game that was released by SirTech in 2001. In it, you play as a party of adventurers that crash land during as escort mission and have to quickly train themselves in order to beat the bad guy, the Dark Savant, to a legendary location so that he doesn't achieve legendary cosmic power-- basically, standard JRPG stuff.

Venus and i grew up watching our mom play it, and, when she was old enough, Venus got it for herself to play. after beating the game normally multiple times, she also started assigning herself challenge runs, like ones where she only has one party member or no one can use any magic. i just asked Venus how many hours she has put into the game on Steam, and she said, "idk like 1000 or something." our family often jokes that Venus is the foremost expert on Wizardry 8 in the entire world, because who else is religiously playing a 2001 release that looks like this

in the year of our lord 2024?

so, tl;dr, Wizardry 8 has absolutely nothing to do with #8 and only has to do with Venus shouting out one of her favorite niche video games. as a bonus fun fact, the Wizardry video game series were part of what inspired Ryoko Kui to make Dungeon Meshi! play them if you wish; i'm sure it would make Venus very happy.

Danganronpa One Shot: Pre-Release Analysis

In case you're not aware, for the last sixteen days, there's been a countdown of sorts going on in venus-is-thinking's account, and I've been excitedly following it along! The big reveal happened today: a fangan called Danganronpa: One Shot, hosted in the account av-multifangan!

For now, we have little more than a title, an announcement post, an FAQ and an About Page. Which I hope don't have secrets in source code or anything because I don't know how to chekc that :p

But is that going to stop me from talking about it? Hell no! I'm going to follow this from the start, and that includes early theories based on literally two pictures and a countdown. Mainly character talents and the such. Let's get into it!

What we Have

As stated earlier, literally two images and a countdown.

So... yeah not a lot. However, I feel like the poster with the wheel could give us an idea of tone, at least. Seems on the more lighthearted side from first impression, even if a killing game will inevitably have some pretty sad moments to go along with it. At least that's the impression I get, could be wrong! There's a big theme of games of chance with all the imagery of wheels, money, poker chips... as well as weapons like guns, knives and nooses, as expected of a killing game. Particularly, we see American-looking $100 bills, which combined with the names of the characters, could suggest an American setting. But hey, it's a prediction post; if I get things wrong, I get things wrong!

The comment on the names is a nice segue for the reveal that the tags of the announcement post include the names of the characters!

Now, venus specifically claims the names are secret, but I actually have a guess of what each name refers to. I could be completely off, but I think the names might be listed in Countdown Order. So Sixteen is Vanessa Bravo, Fifteen is Jeff Breeze, etc. It fits decently well, makes some sense, and I have exactly two evidence points for it, which could very well be coincidences. So again, I might be completely wrong on this :v

There's also a surprising amount of last names which... are just words? "Love," "Breeze," "Bravo," "Hall," "Long," "Walker," "Young." Hell, "Rey" and "Torres" are words in Spanish ("king" and "towers" respectively). I assume it means nothing, but I do find it amusing.

But there's one name that's interesting to me above all others. "Mark Dros." Because it just so happens that "dros" is the acronym of Danganronpa: One Shot. Now, this could just be a coincidence, or even a very meta hint of a fake name/mastermind/something like that, but if it's not a coincidence, what I find likeliest is that Mark's last name is not revealed at the start of the series. Be it because Mark doesn't remember it, or because Mark's hiding it, or something else; if Mark's name is not initially revealed, then venus and accirax would be forced to tag Mark alongside the acronym of the fangan to differentiate this Mark from the countless other Marks out there.

Am I cooking? Am I burning down the kitchen? Who knows.

Anyways, let's actually get to so-called "character analysis." I'll refer to them by their number in the countdown (I'm not confident in the name guesses as you can see :p), which can be tied to the cards by color, and from the cards to the wheel via face recognition. It's going to be extremely embarrassing if I somehow get the wrong wheel sprite from the card drawing, so let's hope that doesn't happen!

I'll mostly go in Countdown Order for organization, though... it'd feel wrong not to start at the beginning, no?

Seven - Ace of Hearts [The Protagonist]

More-or-less Confirmed Name: Ellis Ortiz

Those deep in the DROS lore (so, me and maybe two or three other people so far :p) know that Seven's countdown post was the only one accirax reblogged apart from 16 and 1, saying she did it for "no reason in particular." This is one of the things that made me think Seven could be the protagonist, which I was seemingly right about, but I could have never expected her to actually be played by accirax! This sort of roleplay format is really interesting, and I'm very curious to see how it plays out!

Well, I should point out that Seven isn't technically confirmed as the protagonist, but he may as well be. That means they're the only one with a confirmed name, as both the About post and the FAQ state accirax played Ellis. Ortiz comes from the tag. This is evidence point Nº1 for the names being in Countdown Order, as Ellis is listed seventh to last.

Apart from that, my previous guess of Seven being the Ultimate Lucky Student (based on the coins and the number seven being considered lucky) seems to hold up pretty well. The theme of chance and luck has only been made more prevalent with the announcement post, though it's to the point I almost wonder if Seven might be the Ultimate Game Show Contestant or something to that effect instead. However, since the About page claims some knowledge from THH is required, it's not unreasonable to assume this is a Hope's Peak class and thus needs a Lucky Student.

Plus, Ellis being Lucky would continue the age old tradition of Lucky Student protagonists: your Makoto Naegis (THH), your Yuki Maedas (DR Another), your Teruko Tawakis (DR Despair Time), etc. What this luck looks like is impossible to know so far, but since Seven seems like a relatively confident person at first glance, my best assumption is that he's aware of his good luck and uses it for their benefit. That's probably the guess I'm least confident about btw.

Seven's also connected to the Ace of Hearts, and looking at their glasses, yeah that makes sense :v The card is connected to new beginnings and love, which seems pretty in line for a protag.

Anyways, as a final note, I really love Seven's design and Vibe. Really fun looking protag, and since she's played by accirax, I would be foolish to expect anything but peak from them :D

Then again, the rest of the characters were written by venus, so I would be foolish to anything but peak from them either ;)

Right, this guy. Not included in the countdown, this little cameo in the announcement post is the only reference we have of this thing's existence. That means I genuinely have no guesses on what's going on with him.

I can't even know what I'm looking at, necessarily. It looks like a gem, maybe? I'm very curious to see this guy's full design, because I feel there's a lot being lost in translation to the wheel sprite :v

Although headphones by themselves are a bit too vague for me to have made a guess from them alone back during countdown ages, the addition of a microphone in her card makes it seem that Sixteen is the Ultimate Singer! Or something to that effect, obviously exact wording is impossible for me to guess. In any case, I’m sure watching her perform would get anyone to say “bravo!”

… I’m very unfunny.

On top of that, while card symbolism is always pretty hard to pin down due to the large variety of possible interpretations, the queen of clubs' association with confidence and self-love seem in line with Sixteen's seemingly animated stage presence... I say, having exactly one picture of her. As always in these fangans, the persona of any performer will always come into question, so whether or not she's really as confident as she seems is yet to be seen. First impressions can be wrong, after all!

Anyways, I really like her design, her little hair accessory is everything :D

Regardless, Fifteen looks like a relatively chill guy, which certainly fits the Jack of Hearts' connections to youthful love, passion, honesty and adventure. Seems like the sort of guy you'd really love to "shoot the breeze" with, huh?

Oh... oh she looks cool... and vaguely evil... Chat I fear I might have found a future favorite. Her smug little smile and and appealing design have enraptured me lol.

I particularly love the fact all four suits of the French deck are represented in her design; the club and spade accessories in her hair and belt (maybe?) respectively, the heart shaped dress, and the (I think) diamond earrings, she slays so much I worry she might "slay" a bit too literally if you catch my drift.

That aside, it seems my original guess of Ultimate Gambler or Poker Player or something to that effect remains solid, what with all the card imagery in her accessories and the cards she's holding. Especially notable given the series itself has quite a large theming around games of chance. Hell, all the characters are represented by cards in the French deck in the Header picture.

That could certainly imply a larger degree of importance for Fourteen than other characters. I expect her to be a common mastermind guess, but I personally think it'd be cool if she was the main killing game "antagonist," a la Byakuya. Of course, she doesn't have to be, but she's currently my best guess of who the "antag" might be, if there even is one at all.

This is especially so since the Queen of Spades can be associated with intelligence and logical judgement, which makes it seem like we might have a bit of a girlboss in our hands. As much as I'm excited to see all the characters, Fourteen is one that particularly intrigues me. Can't wait to meet her!

Speaking of girlbosses, Thirteen seems to be actively telling me to "spill the tea, sis" in her card, which is awesome. She looks like she'll be fun.

I originally didn't have much of a guess of what talent she might have, though Ultimate Tea Maker or something to that effect might still be the best guess. However, the combination of her color being gold, the crown-looking thing at the top right of her card, and the Laurus Nobilis leaves at the top make me consider she might be royalty? Ultimate Queen/Princess? Not impossible for sure. Though it would be pretty funny to call a monarch after the capital city of one of the most notoriously anti-monarchy countries in history, assuming I got the name right of course.

(...Should I mention that Cisneros, which could be Fourteen's last name, is the name of a historically important viceroy? Does this imply a thematic connection to Thirteen? I almost wanna look a bit deeper into it, but that's speculation on top of theories on top of speculation on top of theories, so I'll hold off for now)

In any case, I'm sure she'll be quite fun. The Queen of Hearts is associated with compassion and emotional intelligence, so I'm sure she'll be a good person to have around during the killing game! ... Provided we ignore the associations 13 has with bad luck :v

To be fair, though, the duality might be the point. The 12 in the countdown image was also split down the middle, although what this duality theming could imply is beyond me for now.

Very emo looking, though, I'm sure it'll be fun to see what his Deal is. The King of Spades holds similar meanings to the Queen of Spades, so I could see Twelve and Fourteen being a pair of sorts. Also potentially not, you know how this works.

Ah, the classic Ultimate ???, huh? Well, maybe not, but that's my best guess for Nine! The mirror they're holding up could be a representation of them trying to remember their own identity, their talent... and possibly, their last name.

Indeed, the fact that "Mark Dros" happens to fall on Nine is my second evidence point for the name order I'm using. It's a theory built on top of a theory built on top of a guess, but it's what I have for now :v

In any case, I'm sure I'll love them. I'm always a sucker for mystery characters, be it in the form of weirdos like Okazaki Hanano (Tetro DR Pink), cryptids like Mai Akasaki (DR Despair Time), or as seems to be the case here, amnesiacs like Izanami Hoshimiya (DR (He)artless Deceit). And the mystery with this guy is exacerbated by the fact that the Ace of Spades has the most conflicting interpretations we've seen so far. It can represent power, authority, success, and good luck... or bad luck, defeat, and death. Quite literally impossible to tell what's going on, which is only fitting. Very intrigued by this one...

Ah, my archnemesis.

The backstory here is that Eight's countdown image released after I had spent the entire day, from eight in the morning to five in the afternoon, in uni, and my brain was a bit fried from several hours of class and three hours of lab work. That's my excuse for fucking up not once, but twice with that image. Not only did I first think their symbol was a paintbrush (despite having checked ALT text for every day prior), I then proceeded to confuse the word "scalpel" for "chisel" and therefore assumed Eight would be a sculptor. You're allowed to laugh at me.

Anyways, third time's the charm, Eight is likely the Ultimate Surgeon/Doctor or something to that effect, and will most likely be our designated autopsy performer for at least the first few trials. They seem to be pretty upbeat from the one (1) image we have of them, so I'm sure they'll be fun to have around. The Queen of Diamonds seems to mostly represent wealth and power, which means... I don't know. Eight makes good money? :v

Not sure what the rectangle in their shirt is meant to be, but I guess that'll have to wait for the actual release.

The Ace of Diamonds generally represents wealth and success, which makes me wonder how it could connect to Six. I guess... he might just be rich. Final note, while I'm still uncertain if I got the names right or not, if I am right, venus would be kinda crazy for calling the conspiracy theorist Kennedy, knowing the conspiracy theories surrounding JFK xD It would be iconic of her I think.

Now this one's interesting. While Five's countdown symbol of a page with a bent top right corner is etched into his design, being the pin he wears, he's the only character not to have any symbols on the frame of his card. I already had no good guesses for his talent before, just kinda throwing in Ultimate Writer or Ultimate Coder or equivalents as provisional guesses, but now they seem even less likely. Because the lack of symbols on the frame of his card could actually mean the page represents something different.

I think it's possible Five is meant to be a "blank slate," which could mean he has no talent at all. Of course, there's also the possibility that his average-ness is actually his talent, something like Ultimate Blank Slate or Ultimate Regular Person or Ultimate Guy. I'm probably way off, but who knows!

The Jack of Clubs has a few different meanings, but they're generally positive. Creativity, intelligence and sincerity seem to be the main themes. So I'm sure Five will be Perfectly Normal and have Nothing Wrong with him :)

Another design I love at first sight, I really dig Four's vibe. The Jack of Diamonds seems to reference a "messenger" who helps people achieve financial goals, which extrapolated to the killing game, could imply Four will be some kind of important support. Probably will be helpful in trials, they seem smart. Entirely possible I might be off, but that kinda fits the vibe I'm getting from them.

Let's just hope the associations the number four has with death and misfortune aren't relevant...

Why is he so confusing?

Anyways, he seems like a pretty positive person, but who knows. The King of Clubs represents leadership, intelligence and authority. I mean... sure? Maybe that applies to him? Yeah I have no idea. Two's a bit of an enigma for me :v We'll have to wait and see!

Ultimate Pacifist? Ultimate Activist? Ultimate Make-Other-People-Feel-Good-Person? Some vague title that refers to helping others with love and peace in ver heart, be it through volunteer work, activism, whatever. I'm thinking something along the lines of Tsuno Manami's Ultimate Superhero (Tetro DR Pink), if you catch my drift.

In any case, what I'm certain of is that One seems to be a very sweet and kind person! Even if the King of Diamonds, representing mostly material wealth and authority, seems like a weird fit for ver (btw if I use these pronouns wrong please tell me. I looked them up but I'm still not entirely confident I'm using them right :v). However, the King of Diamonds can also represent ethical success and bring positive energy to a reading (?), so it might not be completely off from what the rest of the information we have of One.

Finally, there's one variable I've been listing for these characters which I haven't really addressed yet, and that's the wheel color. Here are the full groups for each color:

TW/ Slightly heated (no hate to those i'm talking about, i just need to rant about it a little) (also it's definitely just me ranting about a drawing of a character in a fanganronpa keep that in mind LOL)

I'll be honest, people who are handwaving Whit's creepy expression as just "oh he's just finally caring" slightly...irk me ?

It feels on the same level as people who said back then that the tape disappearing was just an "animation error".

The story makes it so clear at every turn to not have Whit express anything towards the execution or the deaths around him. If this was him being unable to save Levi and having to watch him die...then why does he react nonchalant to the execution ?

In fact Whit's reaction to Min's execution more so sounds like Whit is trying to have a normal reaction and failing but that's like another thing.

The way his sprite is drawn as well just is not like other "breakdown sprites" we've seen, like it's straight up factual, his eyes just straight up are drawn similarly to David and Xander's sprites (I checked there aren't other expressions that depicts it). He also doesn't sweat which is very common for a lot of stressed sprite.

And i'm not even talking about his arm suspiciously being behind his back.

We KNOW sprites end up foreshadowing things in the future, we quite literally saw it with Arei with her reaction to the murder secret.

The idea of Whit just being stressed just is not in character with what has been shown of Whit's character thus far and it doesn't fit the expression that's drawn on him or the suspicious hand behind his back.

"You're just thinking too hard about it" "It's not that complicated" Then why am I fan of DRDT at all, like why am I a fan of a fan series based on a MURDER MYSTERY series if everything can just be handwaved by the magic words that are "you're just thinking too hard about it !".

Just because an explanation is simpler doesn't mean it's more accurate or more likely to happen, people who make more complex theories aren't "overthinking" things they are simply trying to make a prediction that works unlike the more simple interpretations that are riddled by contradictions.

I've technically fallen victims of "overthinking" at times like my Hu theories however Ace being the culprit answered a lot of my issues with mostly just one exception that is relatively minor in context of everything. Ace being the culprit also still was given very nice foreshadowing and hints to munch on.

The point of red herrings is that they surprise you with more fitting and compelling twists. Brushing off Whit's entire suspicious behavior as a red herring is just lazy analysis because I could do that with pretty much any theory ever. Sure Whit could be a mastermind herring however his behavior itself can't be a red herring, he has something going on and that's what's setup, what that will be will only be discovered later on.

I made my fair share of very wild theories but this isn't about Mastermind Whit or Timeloop Whit, this is about Whit's character and how he's been written thus far. People are trying too hard to woobify him into the "happy go lucky character actually is secretly sad" even though DRDT has made sure to often counterarc very overdone tropes (Nico for exemple).

//Depends on whether how you interpret it. It's quite amusing that you decided to bring up Brave DR: Coward's Paradise specifically, because that's the first Fanaganronpa I've ever experienced, despite it being not officially completed yet.

//Personally speaking, it was the first Fanganronpa I've ever watched or heard of, and found myself incredibly immersed in the majority of the content and development regarding the web video, it's actually quite remarkable how much Gitaroo was able to make me appreciate and obtain fondness for these characters( with the inherent exception of Kazuya) from the prologue alone. When you've managed to create such a diverse cast of characters, with a variety of interesting and colorful personalities, introducing them in such a brief amount of time, yet managing to write them as if they've already received considerable amounts of development, appearing fleshed out and making us express concern over them, that's an impressive achievement and I can't commend Giataroo enough for blessing us with an awesome web video^^

//Nevertheless, it's extremely difficult and complicated as I can't accurately predict how the Brave Danganronpa cast would fare if they managed to become part of this bad situation, considering that aside from their biography cards, and what we'd officially viewed from the prologue, there's not much we can explicitly state or say about how they would realistically behave if they were thrust into an unnerving and disturbing scenario like this.

//What I can predict, though, is that their official reactions and thoughts to the unpleasant state would certainly be anything but welcoming. //That is basically why he would feel the compulsive need to express his frustrations and resentment that he holds toward society for rejecting him thanks to his natural skin color, regardless if he wasn't exceptional enough for their standards, and would this justify his self-entitled, and arrogant attitude towards others, as it's a coping mechanism for him to distract him from the nightmares of living in a dystopian- like world such as this, where all of his aspirations were crushed thanks to forces outside his control.

//Unsurprisingly, Hiroto wouldn't take Kazuya's condescending attitude fondly, since he's actively making things more stressful and problematic for the rest of the group, causing an internal divide within them by promoting his ideals and just being a major nuisance to deal with. During their interaction, Hiroto looked rather uncomfortable and annoyed every time Kazuya opened his mouth to say something arrogant, even calling him out on this behavior during their conversation, saying that just because people aren't up to his level doesn't give him the right to put them down constantly and that he couldn't agree with his negative mindset.

It's a shame because this idea of having a cynical yet confident protagonist going up against this pessimistic, arrogant jerk, challenging the negative stereotypes of society, aspiring to change the status of the world into a better world, and showing that in troubling times like these, it's always helpful to possess some form of hopefulness and positivity in times of bleakness and depression to keep you moving in life and remembering that life isn't always negative, and there are some bright moments in life, even if we don't notice it.

//Regarding the rest of the group's actions in this reality, I'm guessing that they'll be suffering immensely, struggling to handle whatever issue comes their way. Usually, some of the more resilient and mentally stronger ones would power their way through this, such as Goro, Rei, and Daigo, while the more fragile, timid members would be prone to collapsing underneath with having to deal with endless amounts of trauma from witnessing all of the terrible sides of humanity, but that's a long story for another time.

//Needless to say, they would've fared poorly in this timeline, only being hampered by Kauzuya's continuous attempts to show his self-superiority and views over others and his blatant disregard and contempt for those beneath him, as well as people like Mitsuba and Honaka unintentionally causing more harm than good. Except for a few people in the cast who are sharp-witted and cunning enough to get a more comprehensive understanding as to what they're dealing with and how they can approach this properly, I wouldn't be so certain that everyone in the cast would've survived the grim world of ATAT.

Edens Garden Discussion

I watched Project Eden’s Garden sooo here are my thoughts on the characters.

Damon- Kinda reminds me of Byakuya, design and personality-wise. It’s refreshing to have a protag that isn’t a total pushover. I think he’ll be a survivor.

Eva- With a talent like Ultimate Liar. I think it’s amusing how drastically different of a character she is to someone like Kokichi. Whose whole gimmick was lying. I also like her design, I think she’ll die right before the end. Ch.5 killer.

Wolfgang- One of my three faves so far. I like how he’s usually a normal guy but once he steps into the trial room, he’s a total savage. I think he’ll be an interesting rival for Damon. Rivals are known for dying right before the end. Sooo maybe Ch.5 victim?

Grace- Gonna be real. Didn’t really like her that much. All she did was act angry and insult ppl. And not in a funny way either. I think she’ll eventually snap and kill somebody. Probably sooner rather than later. So I think she’s gonna be the Chapter 1 killer.

Toshiko- I don’t think there’s ever been an actual kid in the killing games before. Characters like Hiyoko and Ryoma were just really short. By default I think she has to be a survivor. I can’t see her killing anyone and I don’t think anyone in the cast is fucked up enough to kill a kid.

Eloise- She seems alright I guess. Don’t have much to say on her. I think she’ll be a victim. Ch.2 victim.

Desmond- Yooo I peep the dreads. Is he black? He has an English sounding name so I just assumed so. I think it’s amusing how his personality is chill and laid-back but his talent involves him handling guns. Might be a killer? Maybe like a Ch.2 killer.

Jean- Pirate Guy. Quick fun fact when I was planning a fanganronpa myself last year, I had an Ultimate Pirate Guy on the list. But I ended up scrapping it. Jean seems cool. I know it’s obvious for the buff guy to die in Ch.4 but I think it would suit him. Ch.4 killer. 

Ulysses- Seems kinda plain. Maybe it’s because I get Korekiyo vibes from him. But I think he’s gonna snap in Ch.3 and be a killer. Prediction: Ch.3 killer

Kai- Made it to the 2nd of my 3 faves. I think he’ll be a good comedic relief character. Within 20 seconds of meeting him this loser just starts crying lol. Lowkey I think he might be the mastermind. Like imagine he just hosted a whole killing game for social media clout. That’d be funny. 

Diana- Token nice girl. I think she’ll die early. Ch.1 victim.

Jett- The 3rd of my 3 faves. A funny goofy guy. Admittedly it took me a moment to remember what drag racing is. I thought he was just cosplaying as a power ranger.  Seemed oddly insightful with his extreme haunt knowledge. I hope I’m wrong but I think he’s gonna die for Mark’s development. Maybe like a Ch.3 victim.

Mark- Meh. I feel like the shy guy with bad self esteem issues has been done enough in danganronpa. With Jett dying in Ch.3, Mark will come out of his shell and probably be a survivor. 

Cassidy- Meh. I thought she was a bit extra. However I do think it’s nice that she donates to charity. And her hatred of rich people could lead to an interesting rivalry with Wenona. Ch.3 victim methinks.

Wenona- 3 Mehs in a row. As of right now she’s just the mean rich girl but she might get some development later on. So keep in mind my opinions may change. I don’t see her as a victim or a killer soooo survivor.

Ingrid- Ending off this discussion with a meh. I guess it’s cool to see another buff girl but her personality was lacking. Prediction: Ch.4 victim 

Excited to see what comes next.
