Not me brainstorming a fic where our Cale gets knocked out or faints idk after spitting out blood again. Everyone thinks (because they’re literally so traumatized from this) it’s gonna go as normal: Cale is going to be unconscious for a few days (maybe weeks), wake up, eat a shit ton of steak, and then promptly drop some batshit crazy lore/new information so that he can immediately go back to work.
A week passes, then two, then three. Cale breaks his record of twenty one days in a coma. Everyone is worried but they try to stay calm, since this
had happened before and the best thing they can do is keep things running in Cale’s absence.
Then Cale wakes up around a month after, with no warning.
He looks around blankly, barely processing the people in front of him nor the baby dragon crying in his lap. He touches his hair for a bit, notes the fantasy setting & and the talking cats.
Then he looks at Choi Han and frowns. He keeps frowning long enough that Alberu steps in and says his signature “my dongsaeng is driving me nuts.”
Cale goes wide-eyed, head whipping towards Alberu.
Then he whispers.
“…The Dark Tiger?”
Alternatively, our Cale gets knocked out of his body. Who else wakes up in his absence but our baby Kim Rok Soo from the Sealed God Test?
Cue chaos.

Two intense hurricanes hitting Florida back to back is fucking insane and like we already know Milton is gonna be category 4 (iirc) when it makes landfall but the fact people were downplaying it when they thought it would be a category 3 is crazy because HURRICANE KATRINA, KNOWN FOR BEING CATASTROPHICALLY DESTRUCTIVE, WAS A CATEGORY 3 HURRICANE (though a lot of its destruction was due to the levees failing in New Orleans). Milton's storm surge is going to be 15-20ft and the fact that anyone at all is CHOOSING to stay is absolutely fucking bonkers. It's one thing about people not being able to leave, which is the majority of people who have not yet/will not evacuate (which is a whole different issue because, by all means, people who are incapable of evacuating for any reason at all SHOULD be receiving help so that they CAN evacuate, but they AREN'T) but choosing not to? Crazy. Insane. Putting you and your family at risk because you want to be a stubborn fucking moron. And the people who are upset about having to cancel their Disney vacations, or people who are REFUSING to cancel their Disney vacations even with the current situation, should be ashamed. Those poor workers have to come to work, worried about their own safety, worried about the safety of their families, and the reason they have to be there is because they're expected to be there by people who don't give a shit about anyone else. What the hell are you going to do at Disney anyway? It's literally going to be raining for DAYS STRAIGHT.

In light of Brian Thompson being shot dead on my birthday (🎉🥳🎂) I'd like to share a personal story about UnitedHealthcare.
During the peak of COVID, my family all got sick. I couldn't be on my parents' insurance because they were both older and on Medicare. So, I had insurance through my University: UnitedHealthcare.
For some reason, rather than roll-over each year, I got a new plan each year that ended after May and didn't start until August, so I was uninsured for the summer months, but it was a weird situation that the university denied, and told us we were supposed to be insured year-round, it was messy.
Both of my parents went to the hospital, and I got sick too. I had to take care of my pets, and myself, and try to stay alive and keep my pets alive when I was so weak I could hardly move. When my parents came home, my condition got dramatically worse (I think my body knew it couldn't give out, because there was nobody to take care of me, so once my parents were okay, it completely crashed and failed.)
I started experiencing emergency symptoms. It was a bit hard to breathe, my chest hurt, and I was extremely delirious. I wanted to call my insurance to see if I was covered (this was during the summer) and I was connected to some nice person, probably making minimum wage, who told me with caution in her voice that my plan was expired. I had no active insurance, but she urged me to go to an emergency room. I remember saying something to the effect of "You just told me I don't have insurance, I can't go to the hospital, I can't afford it."
She sounded so genuinely worried and scared. I remember she said "You really don't sound good, you sound really sick, please call 9-1-1" and I think I just said "I can't afford it without insurance, don't worry, I think I'll be okay."
And she paused and said "I don't want to hang up the phone with you like this." And it sounded like she was holding back tears. And I don't remember what I said, I think that I would be okay, and I hung up.
I still think about her. I wonder if that phone call haunted her, or if she had dozens of calls like that a day. I wonder if she thinks about it at all, if she wonders if I died after she told me I didn't have insurance and therefore couldn't go to the hospital without incurring a tremendous financial burden. I wonder if she feels guilt or blame-- of course she shouldn't, it wouldn't have been her fault if anything had happened to me. Maybe it's self-centered to wonder if she thinks about it. I'm not the main character and it was just her job. But, still.
I think about how evil it was that we were put in that situation. Because offering year-long continuous coverage through the university plan would maybe cut into profits, maybe not benefit shareholders enough, maybe cut into Thompson's $10 million salary. While his minimum wage administrators have to feel afraid to hang up the phone, because on the other line someone might be dying, and they wouldn't know. While his patients hang up and decide to take their chances rather than put their family through that trauma.
This is UnitedHealthcare. This is Brian Thompson's legacy. This is why, understandably, an entire nation is jubilant that he was gunned down like the vermin he was. I don't care about his widow. I feel pity for his children, despite the fact that they will inherit millions, but I feel more pity for the children of his victims patients who are gone because they didn't want THEIR children to inherit crippling debt. Brian Thompson got what he fucking deserved. I pray that he not be the only one. I pray for continued safety, peace , and anonymity for his killer.
American healthcare is a disease.

Pet Boarding in Heathmont
Finding reliable care for your furry friend can be a challenge when you’re away. Whether you’re heading off for a weekend trip or an extended holiday, you want peace of mind knowing your pet is in safe hands. That’s where Pet Boarding Heathmont steps in. With a growing number of pet owners turning to local boarding services, Heathmont has become a trusted hub for quality pet care. This blog explores what makes Heathmont ideal for pet boarding and why choosing a local provider could be the best decision for your pet.
Understanding Pet Boarding in Heathmont
Heathmont is known for its serene surroundings, community charm, and pet-loving culture. That makes it an ideal place for pet boarding services to thrive. Pet Boarding Heathmont offers not just a place for your pet to stay, but a warm and homely environment where animals are treated like family.
Many local facilities are run by experienced professionals who understand the emotional needs of pets while their owners are away. These caregivers ensure your pet gets individual attention, proper meals, safe shelter, and daily playtime. Unlike some high-volume kennels, Heathmont boarding homes often provide a more intimate setting, reducing stress and ensuring a more personalised experience.
Comfort and Safety First
When choosing Pet Boarding Heathmont, pet owners can expect safety and comfort as top priorities. Most facilities are well-secured with clean sleeping areas, temperature control, and fenced outdoor zones. Pets are constantly supervised, especially in common play areas. Regular health checks are a norm, and any signs of discomfort are addressed immediately.
In Heathmont, the staff at pet boarding services are usually trained in pet first-aid and behaviour management. So if your dog gets anxious or your cat refuses to eat, they know how to handle it gently and professionally. This level of care is essential for pets to feel at home while you’re away.
Daily Routines that Mimic Home Life
Many pets are creatures of habit. Shifting their routine can be stressful. That’s why Pet Boarding Heathmont services focus on maintaining schedules similar to home life. Morning walks, meal times, rest periods, and playtimes are structured to mirror what your pet is used to.
Some services even ask for your pet’s feeding and sleeping routine so they can follow it as closely as possible. Whether your dog needs a walk before breakfast or your cat enjoys a late-night snack, Heathmont carers will ensure routines are respected. This familiarity helps pets adapt quickly and reduces separation anxiety.
Socialisation and Playtime Benefits
Unlike leaving your pet at home with just a neighbour popping in, Pet Boarding Heathmont allows for supervised socialisation with other animals. Interaction in a controlled, friendly environment helps your pet stay active and mentally engaged.
Dogs in particular benefit greatly from social play. They get to burn energy, learn new behaviours, and enjoy the company of fellow canines. Cats, while more solitary, are given plenty of attention, play toys, and climbing spots to stay stimulated. The activities aren’t just fun — they promote emotional and physical well-being.
Professional and Personalised Attention
One of the biggest advantages of using Pet Boarding Heathmont is the level of personal care. Many boarding providers are small business owners who genuinely love animals. They often keep fewer pets at one time to ensure each animal receives the care they deserve.
Your pet won’t be just a number. Staff take time to get to know each animal’s quirks, preferences, and needs. Whether your dog loves belly rubs or your rabbit gets nervous in loud spaces, these details matter — and they are remembered by dedicated carers.
Why Heathmont Stands Out
Heathmont’s unique blend of suburban charm and modern facilities makes it stand out for pet boarding. The area offers ample green space, quiet neighbourhoods, and easy access from surrounding suburbs. It’s close enough to Melbourne for convenience but far enough to provide a peaceful stay for pets.
The local pet care community is strong, with many boarding providers working closely with local vets, trainers, and groomers. This network ensures that your pet will be in good hands — even if something unexpected happens. Pet Boarding Heathmont is more than just a service; it’s a support system for you and your pet.
Preparing Your Pet for Boarding
To make your pet’s stay more comfortable, a little preparation goes a long way. Pack their favourite toys, bedding, and enough food for the stay. Provide clear instructions about any medication or dietary restrictions. A quick visit before the actual stay can also help familiarise your pet with the new environment.
Some Pet Boarding Heathmont services offer trial days or meet-and-greet sessions. These are helpful in easing your pet into the new setting and ensuring the carers get to know your pet beforehand. It’s all about creating a stress-free transition.
Peace of Mind for You, Happiness for Your Pet
When you choose Pet Boarding Heathmont, you’re not just hiring a service — you’re ensuring that your beloved pet is safe, cared for, and happy. This gives you peace of mind to focus on your travel or work, knowing your furry friend is having their own little vacation.
Heathmont continues to gain trust from pet owners because of its dedication to quality care and loving environments. Whether you’re away for a weekend or a few weeks, knowing your pet is in the right hands makes all the difference.

Safety regulations are there because businesses see workers as expendable.
I’m still thinking about that “is OSHA regulations Cop Behavior” post. Like. You know who thinks regulations are for losers? People who build submersibles out of logitech gamepads and rejected carbon fibre. People who trust starlink as their only surface lifeline.
Do you wanna be like the fine film on the floor of the Atlantic that was once a billionaire? Is that the hill you’re really gonna die on?
We have an expression in my field- “Regulations Are Written In Blood”
People don’t have fucking safety standards as a power trip, we have them because somewhere in the past, NOT having those regulations killed or maimed someone.
A lot of laws out there are bullshit- safety regulations sure as fuck aren’t. I have the literal scars to prove it.

i generally try to keep my presence online as benevolent and non-hater-y as possible. ive gotten to a point in life where i finally get that taking part in the vast majority of online discourse is a fruitless venture. i prefer to try to make the world a better place, spread kindness, and block/report people i know are in the wrong instead of allowing them space in my mind. but jesus h christ, sometimes i wonder if i need to put up a more rigid list of dni criteria again just to get the point across that theres some shit i have hard limits on. cause man... sometimes i dont even want the notification that certain really horrible people exist, or that they know i exist, or that i am only narrowly avoiding them via the heavy curation of my online experience.

I’m not a sheep hearder nor do I care for livestock. But there’s just something primal and intuitive about watching for predators when I let my dogs out in the backyard.
They are both small dogs under twenty-ish pounds and my backyard is not fenced in and is connected to a bluff with a little forest behind it.
There are coyotes, hawks, eagles, owls, falcons, foxes, turkeys, and deer that travel through my backyard. Coyotes have killed my neighbors cats and tried to get their big labs. So being on a constant lookout is a must, and that feeling of being protective and observant always makes me guess if this is what my farming ancestors felt.
Multiple times there have been hawks and such circling my dogs and we have to get them back inside. When my mom wasn’t paying attention once, a hawk got within thirty feet above one.

Please don't look away 😢 😔
Tumblr media
I want to introduce everyone to Abdullah. He is the younger brother of @ahmedpalestine and his short name is Aboodi he is four years old and in the picture above. Aboodi is helping his family collect scrap wood to build a fire for cooking. He likes this, trying to help his mom with chores and, love, do anything for his family. Aboodi loves animals so much, and he always feeds the neighbors' stray cats and loves to pet them and play with them, and if not for the genocide that he and his family were trying to survive it, he would have adopted a kitty 💗 and poor things he wants to go back to his house, and he misses the living room and laying on the sofa to watch TV and to watch toyor aljana (طيور الجنة) his favorite channel and sing along and dance with them and please donate to help evacuate him with his family to safety .
