I get the feel Norm was out of the loop until recently. Thats what being stuck in a lamp does to a fella.
Final! With his stupid new master occupated with a tasty sandwich, Norm can start phase 1 of his plan. He spent years cooking up the perfect plan, now all he's gotta do is get H.P and Sanderson on board then-
- Wait why is Turner in Pixie HQ? Why is he a pixie? What do you MEAN he's the best pixie employee? He has a godBROTHER? THOSE TWO BOZOS KIDNAPPED TURNER??
HOW LONG WAS I IN THE LAMP???
Now he can't mess with Timmy so easily anymore. It and pisses him off.
I don't remember if Norm met Peri. I sent you that another ask. Had to break it up. Also love your art!
2/2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Norm may have been out of the loop, initially. But he picks up on the facts very quickly. Maybe a bit too quickly.
No Fairy have ever asked Timmy about his experiences when he was human. Nor did any Fairy ask him how it was like to become a Fairy. Norm's the first being in 200 years to do it and Timmy's.
Uncomfortable.
In one conversation, they learned more about each other than Timmy liked. With one response, Norm has learned more about Timmy's current state than Timmy realized he'd given. More so, Norm knows more about Timmy's fate than Timmy does himself.

So if you follow me (and aren't just stopping by because you saw one of my funney viralposts), you probably know that I've been writing a bunch of fanfiction for Stranger Things, which is set in rural Indiana in the early- to mid-eighties. I've been working on an AU where (among other things) Robin, a character confirmed queer in canon, gets integrated into a friend group made up of a number of main characters. And I got a comment that has been following me around in the back of my mind for a while. Amidst fairly usual talk about the show and the AU and what happens next, the commenter asked, apparently in genuine confusion, "why wouldn't Robin just come out to the rest of the group yet? They would be okay with it."
I did kind of assume, for a second or two, that this was a classic case of somebody confusing what the character knows with what the author/audience knows. But the more I think about it, the more I feel like it embodies a real generational shift in thinking that I hadn't even managed to fully comprehend until this comment threw it into sharp perspective.
Because, my knee-jerk reaction was to reply to the comment, "She hasn't come out to these people she's only sort-of known for less than a year because it's rural Indiana. In the nineteen-eighties." and let that speak for itself. Because for me and my peers, that would speak for itself. That would be an easy and obvious leap of logic. Because I grew up in a world where you assumed, until proven otherwise, that the general society and everyone around you was homophobic. That it was unsafe to be known to be queer, and to deliberately out yourself required intention and forethought and courage, because you would get negative reactions and you had to be prepared for the fallout. Not from everybody! There were always exceptions! But they were exceptions. And this wasn't something you consciously decided, it wasn't an individual choice, it wasn't an individual response to trauma, it wasn't individual. It was everybody. It was baked in, and you didn't question it because it was so inherently, demonstrably obvious. It was Just The Way The World Is. Everybody can safely be assumed to be homophobic until proven otherwise.
And what this comment really clarified for me, but I've seen in a million tiny clashing assumptions and disconnects and confusions I've run into with The Kids These Days, is that a lot of them have grown up into a world that is...the opposite. There are a lot of queer kids out there who are assuming, by default, that everybody is not homophobic, until proven otherwise. And by and large, the world is not punishing them harshly for making that assumption, the way it once would have.
The whole entire world I knew changed, somehow, very slowly and then all at once. And yes, it does make me feel like a complete space alien just arrived to Earth some days. But also, it makes me feel very hopeful. This is what we wanted for ourselves when we were young and raw and angrily shoving ourselves in everyone's faces to dare them to prove themselves the exception, and this is what I want for The Kids These Days.
(But also please, please, Kids These Days, do try to remember that it has only been this way since extremely recently, and no it is not crazy or pathetic or irrational or whatever to still want to protect yourself and be choosy about who you share important parts of yourself with.)

The TWST cast from the original Fyuuture Kid timeline is so Cleopatra by Lumineers coded. They just get their (pregnant) joyfriend ripped away from them, cursed, and then sent back to earth, where they can't follow all in one day. That's gotta be a fucking nightmare. They just lose everything at the same time. Bro. Imagine Jamil or Azul, they had to fight for everything and just when they finally, FINALLY, think they have something that will never leave, it's taken away. Imagine malleus or cater or silver; they've already lost so much, silver just lost his dad and now, when he's going to make his own family, they're taken from him too.
TW FOR SUICIDE.
You wrote one time that of Yuu ever died, Floyd would be quick to follow, so. Did Jade and Azul have to put him on suicide watch? My mind is reeling there were NO WINNERS in this timeline Goddamn.
Sorry for the angst dude I just think about this AU a lot
i am so sorry for making you all live with this many thoughts and just waltzing on off to do fuck all
So there weren't any winners in the original timeline no, but the way things went down sort of prevented the type of outcome you are describing with Floyd due to the potential for hope, that most dangerous of falsehoods. In a way that sort of makes it worse though... so lets talk about what went down shall we?
(I'm going to keep this post to more general information, but I did write some specific ship thoughts I'll probably use for another post later on, I just need to think on some of them more...)
notes: they/them used for Yuu, this is part of my fyuuture kid au which can be found under the series section of my masterlist. This post will not contain discussions of suicidal ideation, but will contain major character death and descriptions of violence. If you are curious about what happened to Yuu and Fyuuture kid, look at this post here.

General Original Timeline Facts
To give a brief re-cap of what happens to Yuu, they were arrested by the Magical Marshall's office and sent back to their world, while pregnant, and cursed to forget everything that had happened to them in Twisted Wonderland. Something I didn't mention in that first post, mostly because I intended to imply it in the answer about Riddle's relationship with Yutu but ended up cutting, is that none of the characters actually know that this is what happened at first. They know that Yuu disappeared, but they don't know that the Marshalls were involved or that Yuu went back to their world, which causes a real sense of panic in all of them because holy shit their spouse and unborn child just went missing and they can't seem to get anyone to take this seriously. How the Marshalls went about hiding this information, and what the general public believed happened to Yuu depends on who their husband was, as did the fallout of their disappearance.
For anyone who might be a bit confused, the Magical Marshall's Office is an elite squad of police officers who investigate magical crime, and occasionally deal with overblots. They are the organization that Deuce wants to join one day, which does mean that the people who made the decision to see Yuu as a threat to public safety and send Yuu home were Deuce's own co-workers and friends.
Deuce is the first to suspect that the Marshall's might have had something to do with Yuu's disappearance, but he isn't able to really do much with that. He tries, but he is stonewalled and eventually fired- though by the time that happened monster attacks started getting really bad in the Queendom and Deuce had a whole other set of questions.
Speaking of those monster attacks, the instant Yuu is removed from Twisted Wonderland Grim overblots I have an idea as to why, but it isn't super set in stone. This "Chimera" begins hunting and stirring up monsters, inciting them to attack civilization while it focuses on trying to "wake up" the Phantoms of the Great 7. These phantoms want to re-join with their respective overblot boy, which is an easier task for some of them than others.
The first phantom to re-appear was the Thorn Fairy's. Malleus chose to seal himself and his phantom in an eternal sleep inside the Briar Valley capital after ordering Sebek and Silver to evacuate everyone who lived there, leaving his people truly leaderless and in shambles. He technically also ordered Lilia to go with them, but he refused. He wasn't able to abandon another Draconia to die alone. A lot of nocturnal fae died to the Phantom before Malleus's sacrifice, but because the problem was more or less contained to Briar Valley not all of the other nations saw the monster problem as a threat. They should have.
The second phantom to re-appear was The Queen of Hearts'. Riddle, having been approached by Deuce with his suspicions regarding Yuu's disappearance and outraged by what he saw as a clear violation of the law (if nothing else) was easy prey and re-assimilated into the monster. The phantom then began hunting down each of Riddle's previous dorm mates to corrupt them into card soldiers for its army, eventually fashioning four lieutenants that were a touch more sentient that the others out of Trey, Cater, Deuce, and Ace.
Certain members of the Al-Asim family saw that happen and quietly, without Kalim's knowledge, arrange to have Jamil killed. This doesn't prevent the Sorcerer of the Sands' phantom from reuniting with him, it just means the monster is puppeteering a corpse. And dragging around a second once it gets its hands on Kalim...
Obviously at this point something of a pattern has been established, meaning S.T.Y.X. is expected to do something. Idia does not actually overblot for a second time thank you very much, Phantom Ortho has a mind of his own and he promised to stay in the Underworld until it was Idy's time. His first order of business is to check in on Vil, Azul, and Leona to make sure they're ok. He manages to make contact with Vil, but the Coral Sea proves impossible to get a message through to and Leona is M.I.A. Literally, he and Ruggie have both disappeared while investigating monster attacks around the slums. Idia has a decision to make, and it's not one he really likes, but S.T.Y.X. has a better relationship with the Sunset Savannah than it does the Coral Sea, so it's off to the Elephant Graveyard while Vil agrees to stay behind on the Isle of Woe under observation for his own safety.
It's a decision Idia regrets later. He gets to Leona in time to help him fight and kill the King of Beasts's phantom, but it costs Leona and Ruggie their lives, and while he's there, the Sea Witch's phantom finds Azul and begins using his magic to drain the merfolk dry. Floyd manages to use his unique magic to distract Azul long enough to allow Jade to escape, who only flees because he thought his brother was behind him the whole time. The oceans become polluted with blot, forcing the surviving merfolk to the surface. Many go to NRC and take refuge in the Octavinelle dorm pocket dimension, resulting in the Mostro Lounge being closed to make more room. Somehow that feels more like a killing blow to Azul for Jade than what the phantom did.
Schools like NRC, RSA, and Nobel Bell become sort of centers for survivors due to the large amounts of mages, magical wards, and artifacts that such schools typically have made them safer than most towns. NRC specifically has seen a large influx of magicless people who run a lot of the things the ghosts used to and runs a lot of normal school classes in additional to the magic program, which shifts over time to be more focused on fighting due to the increased monster attacks.
Also Crewel is now Headmage. It would have been Trein but I don't think he needs the stress. I haven't decided if he is still alive or not, but Vargas and Sam are still kicking.
So to give a run down of where everyone stands in the original timeline in order: Malleus and his phantom are trapped in an eternal sleep, Lilia is dead, Silver and Sebek are alive (at least at first) and trying to help the fae refuges displaced by the Thorn Fairy's Phantom. All of Heartslabyul are overblot phantoms, and actively making the Queendom of Roses unlivable. Jamil was assassinated and the Sorcerer of the Sands's phantom went on to kill Kalim and most of his family. To be clear that wasn't because of Jamil's lingering emotions, but good luck explaining that to most people. Vil and Idia are overblot free, Vil because he is being detained on the Isle of Woe and Idia because of his promise with Phantom Ortho. Leona and Ruggie died fighting the King of Beast's phantom. Azul and Floyd are blot phantoms, while Jade is alive and tending bar at what remains of the lounge at NRC.
Now Epel, Rook, and Jack aren't named in that list. No one really knows what happened to them, but they are assumed dead (or at least Jack and Epel are.) Since this is my AU and I get to give out the information, I'll let you know that Rook is a phantom under control of the Fairest Queen's phantom, Jack is dead, and Epel is alive, but cut off from the rest of Twisted Wonderland by the monsters under the Fairest Queen's control. He's right teed off about that, hey Yutu go get him that ladder he's gonna give Rook a piece of his mind-
I do have some ship specific thoughts but I want to cook with them a bit more... but to maaaybe tease some of them?
Yutu and his friends had to fight the Heartslabyul boys multiple times. Yes this hurt their Yutus a lot, and is one of the main reasons Riddle! Yutu hates his dad so much.
Vil can hear the Fairest Queen talking to him and it's not great for his mental stability. Neither is being cooped up in the Isle of Woe, his Yutu did meet him and remembers it being a terrifying experience.
Jade has a good relationship with Floyd! Yutu, Jade and Floyd are their own people but losing Floyd killed a part of him that was slightly healed by getting his nephew back. He likes to tease Azul! Yutu and told him a great deal about his dad. As for his own Yutu... their relationship is a tad strained by how protective Jade is over his son. He is terrified of losing him and what is left of his pearl...
Not all Yutus are in the same dorm as their father. I haven't decided on where all of them are yet, but I did mention once in my replies that Azul! Yutu is in Savanaclaw. I did not mention that he did intend to transfer but couldn't when he accidentally became the Dorm Leader because he got tired of being mouthed off to and knocked someone out. I have an ask about Cater! Yutu I'm working on but I'll add him here as having been put into Octavinelle, and I think I want to put Kalim! Yutu into Pomefiore but I need to cook more...

Yeah, hi! See your soul mate au prompts, and if you're taking requests, how does Peter Maximoff with 18 sound? That feels like the kinda thing that'd fit with him lol ("God, why is Madonna stuck in my brain?! I didn’t ask for a private concert!" or smth like that).
Love your work, btw :3
Tumblr media
Ugh, a love song?
Fluff!
Anon ur soso smart! I went with a song u can hear in Fallout. Cause, I've been obsessed with fallout recently!
Tumblr media
Peter was the type of person to listen to anything. Anything in the world. But god, these Western songs were really ragging on him!
Marty Robbins, Eddy Arnold, Tony Marcus.. etc.!
First it was, Big Iron. No big deal. He liked that song. It was funny, and something he could just have a little dance to when he felt like he needed to expel energy. The earworm went on for a week or so.
Then it was Lone Star. Wow... possibly the most western song he'd ever heard. Why on earth were these random, 50s western songs suddenly getting stuck in his head? He'd never heard them before these weeks. ...He wasn't even from Texas like the songs says!
Finally, a complete 180 from Western songs. Crazy He Calls Me. Billie Holiday. That one was nice. That one was sweet. Cute a bit. After a few days though, it was starting to get a bit old. I mean, he'd never even heard the song on the radio before! Where on earth was it coming from?
Ah, you. One of his best friends. Just the person to talk to about this. Peter walked (zipped) his way over to you, standing behind your shoulder for a second. You were just organising your drawers, muttering a song to yourself. "...sure I'm crazy...crazy in love, you see.."
Peter couldn't help himself to taunt you behind your shoulder. "Like the wind, that shakes the bough.."
And a little jump from you, making you turn in your spot. "Jesus christ Peter! I hate it when you sneak up on me." Placing your hand over your heart for a moment to exaggerate the truth. "...I didn't know you knew that song."
"I don't. Not that well. It's been stuck in my head for weeks! Like the singer came back to life and decided to be stuck in my actual brain like a genuine worm or something! Oh my god, it's absolutely ridiculous at this point." Peter rambled on and on, talking about Billie Holiday and how he'd never heard her before this.
"I've been listening and humming like, a lot of 50s songs. Love songs and Westen songs. They're kinda cute."
Peter took a second. Woah. Hold on! Did you say you've been listening to songs from the 50s?? "Woah. Gotta say, I've been stuck with those songs in my head for like... forever."
"wait really?"
"yeah. Weird right?"
"totally weird."
You were both naive, and that seemed to be fine with the two of you.

helloo! could you recommend your favorite jungkook and yoongi fics? thank you and have a lovely day ♡
hey there~ 💛
... tbh i haven’t read too many fics for my boys lately 🙈
i've been trying to work through the books sitting on my shelf collecting dust + i got sucked back into fallout now that the show is out lol.
but i do have some all-time favorites!!
please mind the warnings/tags - you're responsible for your own reading consumption. that said, all of these fics are 🔞
i hope you have a great day nonnie and if you have any recs send them my way 🥰!
JUNG KOOK FICS
the crimson shell series by @angelicyoongie
mermaid aus are my lifeblood istg. and this is one of the best one's i've ever read!! it's dark, it's creepy, it's foreboding - and tantalizing. everything i love about mermaid/siren aus crammed into one series.
you had always found comfort in being at the beach, often spending hours just watching the waves lap against the shore. but unbeknowst to you – something had been watching you back.
make you mine two-shot by @colormepurplex2
i'm a sucker for abo, and as such, have read a looot of it over the years. its a genre that's very easy to descend into wtf-how-are-they-still-alive-after-THAT territory but this fic does it very well in a way i haven't seen too often. i loved the world-building and set up.
Alphas might rule the world, but Jungkook finds himself being ruled by the need to make you his. Omegas are rare, precious, and pliant. At least, most are. When you present late, well into your twenties, you're already set in your headstrong ways; a challenge even for a commanding alpha like Jungkook. Add to that the centuries-long feud between your families and the last thing anyone expected was for him to claim you as his soulmate.
a sea of indigo series by @foxymoxynoona this was the first BTS fic i ever read... and is a big reason as to why i got into the fandom in the first place. i had no clue who they were before then. i'd heard of them + listened to agust d without knowing it was yoongi 💀 but this fic made me check out BTS RUN and now here we are 🤪
Pitbull Hybrid Jungkook has finally been freed from the fighting rings, and now finds himself at Marigold Sanctuary & Transition Estate, a place for healing and self-discovery for rescued hybrids. It's stupid, dumb, cheesy, and hell-bent on helping Jungkook "heal" and "find himself" and "decide the course of his life." And right at the center of it is Y/N, a nurse who's got everyone bamboozled that she's like some awesome person. She's not that great. Jungkook hates it here.
YOONGI FICS
witch oneshot by @sailoryooons
this is easily one of my top 3 yoongi fics. the world building, the tension, the relationship between yoongi and reader. it ticks all my boxes and vividly paints a picture of this universe. i adore the concept, and love the way this fic is brought to life through sailoryooons storytelling.
For years, you and Yoongi have played cat and mouse. It’s his duty to rid the world of witches, but he always finds a new excuse to let you slip through his fingers. When you find yourself at his mercy, you wonder if the great witch hunter will finally end your game of chase, or if there’s something that will stay his hand.
desolate series by @angelicyoongie
one of the first hybrid fics i've read for bts 😭 i love my lil meow meow and the set-up for this fic is amazing. it takes a fresh direction with the hybrid trope and builds a relationship that feels organic and progresses very naturally💛
you just wanted a cute little normal cat to keep you company. so you're not really sure how you ended up with the grumpiest hybrid on earth that seems hellbent on making your life difficult.
ps. i woof you oneshot by @gimmesumsuga
this one is just so so cute and asjhdjsghfjs!! i adored remi and thought about having yoongi and holly as neighbors for days after reading this lol.
The one with a happy accident of the furry, four-legged kind - “Are you calling my dog a slut?!”
first and last and always oneshot by @floralseokjin
i'm not one for holiday fics/aus usually but there's something about this one that i absolutely adored. it felt very realistic and drew me into the relationship within the first few paragraphs. the angst is so well done and heartfelt, it made me cry lol.
You and Yoongi broke up two months ago. It was mutual, you’re positive, but there’s one teeny tiny issue... You never told your parents, and now they’ve invited you back home for Christmas. Both of you. You can’t say no, but you also can’t bear to go alone, so you do the only thing you can think of, plead with Yoongi to come with you and pretend like everything’s okay...
go send these authors some love!!

i sketched a boscage maze shadow to complete my set. this version of shadow takes several... creative liberties... with boscage maze, but i think it works? maybe? let me explain.
so, i like the idea that boscage maze is the result of a science experiment catastrophe. the fallout of the accident mutated all life on earth, creating mega fauna (such as thorn rose’s giant flicky), and killer plants. i’m talking humongous venus flytraps that capture and consume people, vines with minds of their own, etc. obviously, this made earth extremely hostile to regular humans... so they left.
the survivors of the catastrophe boarded the ark and left for space. they had plans to return-- but at the current time, it was simply too dangerous to do so. and they needed to make something that would be able to combat the violent mega fauna. enter... shadow. aka halcyon, as he’s called in this au. halcyon has the ability to drain shard energy, thus un-mutating the corrupted plants and animals, and returning them to their natural state.
unfortunately, the people on the ark thought that the world was still too dangerous for him to return to shortly after his creation, so they put him on ice, waiting for a better time to start their restoration project. before that, though, halcyon grew up hearing all kinds of stories about the way earth used to be... a beautiful paradise, a safe haven in a vast, uncaring universe. his best friend on the ark, maria, also instilled in him one wish: save earth. so that’s what he intends to do.
his bitter enemy is thorn rose, whose goal is to protect the horrible mega fauna. but she just doesn’t understand the harm it’s doing to what was once a peaceful planet. and how could she? she never knew what it used to be.

Post-Apocalypse + Soulmate AU ; requested by @burr-burr!
When Danny was a kid, he used to imagine how the world would end. It was never a zombie apocalypse or the fallout of a nuclear war, but the death of the sun, the expansion of their star in death that would swallow their planet whole, leaving no survivors.
It would have been nicer than the post-apocalyptic world he stands in now, knowing that it’s his fault the world has ended.
He’s still struggling to wrap his head around it. To understand that all of this is his fault because he cheated on one test, desperate to pass after being unable to study for it with how exhausting and time consuming fighting ghosts is. Everywhere he looks, there’s more destruction. His own home is rubble, with only the partially untouched Ops Center remaining to let him know that this is where he once lived.
The rest of Amity Park is in worse shape. Buildings are hollowed out, the skeletons of their foundations visible, if they still remain standing. Most homes have been burned to the ground, leaving blackened corners of walls and nothing else. The roads are cracked and difficult to walk through, as if an earthquake tore through the city. Cars are scattered along the road, overturned or left abandoned, doors still open.
Danny has yet to find any bodies. He doesn’t know if that’s a good sign or not.
He’s only caught a few glimpses of his future self, the cause of all this, and can’t bring himself to chase after that monster. He feels sick to his stomach knowing what he’ll become.
That monster has to be stopped. The world has already ended, but that doesn’t mean his future self can be allowed to go on like this. If there are any survivors, they need protection. They need to know they’ll be safe to try to start rebuilding, and that can only happen if his future self is dead.
Danny knows what he has to do; he has a responsibility to protect what little remains of Amity Park, and to do that, he needs to kill himself.
But his head it spinning from the horror of the situation and his throat is tightening up the way it only does when he’s about to have a panic attack.
He needs to stop his future self, but he also can’t stay another second in the ruins of Amity Park without destroying himself.
The guilt sits heavy in his chest as he goes ghost and takes to the sky, flying blindly towards the setting sun. Danny doesn’t know where he’s going, and he doesn’t really care. He just needs to get away for a bit, until he can calm down and put together a plan of attack so he can take out his future self in one go.
He just…
He never thought he’d be a monster. But here they are.
Flying away from Amity Park reveals the truly harrowing extent to which this world has suffered under his future self’s hands. There are no intact cities or towns. Roads are broken beyond repair, highways littered with empty cars, most bridges crumbling into the rivers below them, and everything is covered in overgrowth. All signs of humanity’s careful cultivation of the world has been erased. The earth takes back what humans took from it, covering everything in green.
There is no movement. No people. Barely any birds flying beneath him.
What remains of the world is silence.
Danny is terrified that there’s no one left. That his future self has so thoroughly destroyed the earth that no human survivors remain.
That gives his guidance, some idea of where to go: a big city. Any big city, really.
He flies lower, searching for some sort of landmark, or a sign that will tell him where he’s going. A rusted over green sign farther down the road tells him that he’s 50 miles from Gotham.
Oh, Danny thinks, Maybe Batman can help me.
If anyone could survive the end of the world, it would be the superheroes, right? If anyone stands a chance at defeating his future self, it would be a superhero. Superman might have been a better choice, but Metropolis is the opposite direction and multiple states away; Danny’s not sure he can make it before his future self catches wind of him and hunts him down.
Danny has no doubt about what would happen to him if he’s caught; there’s a reason he hasn’t seen any ghosts around, after all.
Gotham is a city of secrets and rumors. What little he’s heard of it is baffling and, frankly, insane. There’s no city in the country like it and Gothamites prefer it that way, stubbornly loving the home that will kill them. For all the manmade horrors they survive on the daily, they would be more prepared for the end of the world than anyone else.
Gotham may be another casualty of his future self’s destruction, but it also offers him hope.
Danny follows the broken road towards Gotham, pushing himself to fly faster than he ever has before. What should have been a half hour flight is completed in fifteen minutes.
As soon as the towering buildings of Gotham, dark and semi destroyed, come into view, Danny drops from the sky and returns to human form. The strain from pushing himself has exhausted him and he feels it like an ache in his chest, his heart twisting and trying to burst from how hard it’s beating.
He collapses to his hands and knees and gasps for breath on the outskirts of Gotham.
It takes a good few minutes to calm down and breathe normally, then another to gather his strength to stand up and begin walking.
The world is eerily quiet as he enters the city, feeling the chill fall upon him as he is consumed by the shadows of tall buildings. It’s much more intact that Amity Park, but there’s no denying the destruction that still surrounds him. Buildings are empty and worn down, decaying and slowly being consumed by new growth. Burnt out husks of overturned cars fill the street, leaving Danny to carefully pick his way around them, unable to walk in a straight line.
He feels like the only person in the world. He feels like he’s being watched by a hungry eyes.
Danny shivers and walks faster.
The deeper he goes into the city, the more he starts to hope that he’s not alone in this world. There’s small signs of life: the smell of smoke, recently burned, certain streets cleaned up, makeshift walls constructed from rubble to block access to certain areas of each block.
He swears he can see people move above his head, but anytime he looks up, the windows of every building are empty.
“Batman,” he whispers to himself, “I just need to find Batman.”
He turns a corner and continues walking. Apartment buildings give way to stores and businesses, all with their windows broken and nothing on the shelves. Then the buildings end abruptly and he’s left staring at an overgrown park that resembles a jungle more than it does a part of the city.
The scent of something sweet lingers in the air. Fruit, perhaps, or flowers.
If he was left in the aftermath of an apocalypse, he would go to where he could find growing food. If there’s anyone left in Gotham, he’s willing to bet they’re in here, surviving off of what food can be grown in the confines of the park.
Danny crosses the road and takes three steps onto the grass before someone appears beside him and points an electrified baton at him.
“Who are you?” they demand, eyes hidden behind a cracked helmet, but the bottom half of their face is visible, revealing scars crossing on dark skin.
Danny takes a step back, eyeing the electric baton warily, and lifts his hands to show he means no harm. “Danny. I came from out of town. I was hoping to find people here.”
“You don’t look like you’ve been traveling.”
His clothes are clean and intact and he has none of the world-weariness that weighs down this Gothamite. Danny winces, and says, “My situation is kinda complicated. But I did just get here. I’m looking for help, actually. Do you know where I could find Batman?”
There’s a long moment of tense silence, then he hears a quiet sigh and the helmet comes off. An exhausted looking man looks at him with one blind eye, turned a milky white, and his voice is low and stricken as he says, “Batman’s dead. But maybe I can help you.”
“Batman’s dead?!” Danny repeats, shocked.
“Yeah. Sacrificed himself in one of the last times Phantom attacked Gotham. Got me and Nightwing out of that encounter alive. We’re really the only heroes left in Gotham, not that there’s much need anymore with everyone trying to survive.”
Phantom killed Batman. His future self killed Batman.
Danny feels sick to his stomach.
“Oh,” he manages to say.
The man’s expression softens. “Don’t worry, we’ll help you as much as we can. Why don’t you come on in? Ivy can get you some food if you’re hungry.”
Danny nods numbly as he follows the man deeper into the park. He walks with ease, taking paths that only become visible when he walks them, leaving Danny to follow close behind. It takes some time before he realizes that the plants are moving out of their way just enough that they don’t trip, and when he looks back, the path is covered again, hidden from sight.
He’s taken to the heart of the forest, where the trees shift to the side to reveal a large encampment of survivors all living together. Beds are strung up as hammocks between trees and rope ladders dangle from branches to help people move up and down. The ground is full of small fire pits, a few in use to make make food, and sections in the back full of vegetable and herb patches, separated by berry bushes.
The people here all look tired and worn down, but they still smile and speak in light voices, adjusted to a new life after surviving so much horror and destruction. He even spots a few people using powers, or just looking different, including one large man who looks like a crocodile.
“Pick up another stray?” a raspy voice asks, humor lighting the tone. They both turn to see a woman with long red hair and a green tint to her skin be lowered to the ground by a vine. She’s also heavily scarred and her right arm is completely gone, replaced by a wooden limb covered in moss that moves as if it’s always been a part of her body.
“Hey Ivy,” the man greets, “I don’t think this one is staying. He came to Gotham looking for Batman.”
The words make Ivy’s gaze sharpen, and Danny feels a trickle of dread go down his spine. She’s dangerous and standing before her feels as if he’s in the mouth of a hungry beast.
“Is that so,” she says, voice flat. “How interesting. I’ll let you two talk somewhere more private.” Her gaze flicks to the side, and when Danny turns to look, he can see some of the people in the encampment observing them warily, bodies tense and poised to either flee or attack.
Ivy turns and the plants part for her. Danny waits for the man to begin walking before he follows, trying not to feel trapped as the plants close the path behind him. She takes them to a small pond full of water lilies, gives the man a careful look, then leaves, swallowed up by the plants.
“Is everything okay?” Danny asks hesitantly. “I didn’t mean to cause any trouble.”
“Nah, you’re good,” the man replies, “It’s just that people don’t trust me much.”
“Why? You’ve been really nice.”
The man shrugs. “My soulmate is Phantom. He’s the one responsible for doing all this and killing almost everyone we love. I didn’t know until the first time I fought him, but they hate anything to do with Phantom, including me.”
Danny’s heart stutters in his chest. This is his soulmate.
Most people don’t subscribe to the belief that they’re meant to be with their soulmate. Meeting your soulmate is rare enough that most people don’t try, and plenty of people have spoken of how important it is to have a variety of relationships, to not close yourself off for the slightest chance of meeting your soulmate.
Danny never looked for his; he didn’t want to subject them to his parents, and then he became a halfa and gave up on all dreams of having a normal life or any relationship with someone who didn’t know he was Phantom.
And now he’s here, in a ruined future, standing before his soulmate who understandably hates him for destroying the world.
“You’re Phantom’s soulmate,” Danny breathes. His hands are shaking. He wants to cry.
The man sighs. “Yeah. I am. Not that it’s stopped him from trying to kill me. Don’t worry, kid, I’m not working with him. I swear.”
“He’s your soulmate and he hurt you.”
“He hurt everyone,” he says, then gestures at his blind eye. “This is barely a thing compared to what he did to other heroes.”
Danny can’t find the words to expression his horror at seeing the damage he did to his own soulmate. His future self is heartless and cruel and bloodthirsty. He has to be stopped.
He doesn’t want to kill his soulmate.
“I came here for Batman,” Danny says, “Because I thought he could help me stop Phantom.”
“That’s rough, kid. Batman couldn’t beat Phantom. I don’t think anyone can. We’ve tried, but most heroes are dead and we can’t just go out there and risk the lives of everyone here. We gotta focus on survival, not revenge.”
“I have to stop Phantom.”
“Sorry kid, but that’s a terrible idea. Don’t go out there trying to be a hero. You can stay here, alright? Ivy will get you set up and the others will help you settle in.”
Danny takes a step back and shakes his head. “No. I have to stop him. It has to be me.”
“And why is that?”
“Because I’m Phantom,” Danny whispers.
The man immediately reaches for his electric batons again, taking a step back. “Not funny, kid,” he says with a tense voice.
“I’m not joking. I am Phantom, just from the past. I’m not supposed to be here.”
“You’re Phantom?” the man repeats. “You. You’re just a kid, and you’re going to destroy the world one day?”
“I don’t want this to happen! That’s why I need to go back, so I can stop the event that will set me down this path. And to go back, I need to defeat the Phantom that exists here.”
“He’ll kill you, kid.”
“That still solves the problem, doesn’t it? If I die here, then he’ll never live long enough to destroy the world. He’ll die too.”
The man stares at him with cold eyes, then turns away, dropping his hands away from the batons. “Don’t turn this into a suicide mission, kid,” he says. “The Phantom who’s here isn’t you. You don’t have to pay for his crimes. Just… stay here and I’ll go fight Phantom.”
“He already hurt you,” Danny says.
“What’s a little more hurt? I can handle it.”
“No,” Danny says firmly. He shoves away the fear and hurt in his heart and finds his strength in determination. No more running away. No more hiding.
The timeline should not exist. He can’t hesitate at the thought of erasing this version of his soulmate from existence; he’s tired and injured and an outcast in the only community that still exists in Gotham. He deserves better. Everyone here does.
And to give them a better life, Danny needs to stop this one from ever happening.
“This is my future. It’s my responsibility. I’ll stop it and make sure this never happens. And… I’m sorry for everything I did.”
“It’s not your fault, Danny. You’re not this version of Phantom.”
That’s not at all true, since Danny’s actions lead to the end of the world, but he’s not going to argue when he’s preparing to fight a stronger, more ruthless version of himself. He takes a deep breath, then goes ghost and floats into the air.
“Before I go,” he begins, hesitantly, “What’s your name? Since you’re apparently my soulmate.”
The man smiles sadly and answers, “Duke. If we ever meet in your time, tell that version of me to look for my mom’s favorite book.”
It’s an odd request, but if it’s important enough to be asked for, then Danny will do it. “Your mom’s favorite book,” he repeats, “Got it.”
“Take care, Danny. Good luck out there.”
Danny nods and takes one last look at his soulmate, older and worn down, stubbornly getting through each long day, and swears to make things better.
Then he flies off, ready to fight his future self and make things right again.
. . .
He thinks of his soulmate for years after he’s back in the present. The timeline where his future self exists is gone and the world is safe, but he still remembers the pain he caused Duke.
When the time comes to apply to universities, Danny sets his sights on Gotham. His parents take him on a trip during spring break to tour the campus, and it’s after the tour, as he wanders around on his own, that he bumps into a student walking out of a building.
“Sorry,” they both say at the same time, reaching for each other to help each other keep their balance.
As soon as their hands meet, it’s as if lightning runs through him. From the look on the other guy’s face, he felt it to.
This is his soulmate.
“Duke,” Danny says, amazed and disbelieving all at once. And the request crosses his mind, something he wondered about almost every night since he returned to his time. “Look for your mom’s favorite book.”
“How—?”
“I met you in the future. You asked me to take back a message for the you that’s here. So: look for your mom’s favorite book. What does that mean, by the way? I never asked.”
Duke blinks, then slowly retracts his hands from Danny’s. “My mom’s favorite book was a hand bound journal from my dad. They were soulmates and he wrote about their first year in a relationship together. It’s full of pictures, and she loved it more than anything. That message is to remind me to have faith in soulmates, to believe that something good can happen to me.”
“Oh! That’s… wow, sorry, I didn’t mean to pry into something so personal.”
Duke shrugs. “It’s fine. I needed the reminder. I would have already run away by now if you didn’t say that. You already know my name, but I think now’s a good time to introduce ourselves.”
“Right!” Danny says, flustered. He sticks his hand out, which Duke shakes with an amused smile. “I’m Danny. Fenton. I’m coming here next semester.”
“Duke Thomas. I’m a freshman here and I’d really love to get your number.”
He’s not hitting on Danny, not really, but it still makes him blush. The way Duke looks at him is full of light and laughter, so different from the exhausted and wary way he looked in the future now rewritten.
This is what the future version of himself tried to kill. He doesn’t understand how anyone could ever hurt Duke when he’s so full of life.
But he’s safe now. Everyone is; Danny changed the future and what lies ahead is wholly unknown to him.
The world is safe and full of promise.
No matter what comes, Danny is sure he and Duke are going to be just fine.

NEW TSAMS AU IDEA: Nexus point!
In this au, when Sun was forced to kill Nexus, Nexus didn't die. He was banished to another dimension that's all dark and apocalyptic. Think Fallout mixed with Half-life with a dash of Last of us. Nexus is stuck in this forsakened universe and discovers not only is he trapped here, but his powers no longer work here for some reason. Nexus wanders for a while trying to survive this world's horrifying creatures only to discover another version of Solar who doesn't recognize him. This Solar takes Nexus in and introduces him to the others, turns out this dimension is sort of a place for the lost of the multiverse.
Dimensional nomads of sorts.
They all either lost their worlds and weren't dusted like Solar for some reason, got lost in the multiverse, or got banished from their dimension.
So, now, Nexus, with really no other choice, decides to stick it out here till he can find a way to get out of here or get his powers back and maybe he'll redeem himself along the way.... or become worse... who knows? 🤷‍♂️
It could have all sorts of crazy variants of the shows characters, A BloodEarth (An Earth who has a whole jekyll/Hyde thing going on), A good guy BloodMoon, A Monty who became the new Astral of destruction, A Freddy who was raised by his mom instead of Golden Freddy and who knows who else? The choice is yours!
Let me know what you guys think of this au? I like it.
Might make a comic about this.

Avatar: New Omashu AU
Or Fallout: Avatar Extra Late
.... That was awful. Moving on-
Hello! I am Mod Faun and This blog is an archive for the Avatar/Fallout AU created by @charlesoberonn where Aang wakes up 200 years later, the world has been ruined by the victory of the Fire Nation in the 100 year war and was further ruined by the death of the Moon spirit and the Genocide of the Fire benders committed by the survivors of the Water tribes, Earth Kingdom, and the revolting spirits, spear headed by the Ocean Spirit. Aang wakes up to a ruined flooded world where only 2 elements really remain, a retro futurism vibe going on and actively roaming spirits.
Only Aang can heal this wounded world, but it will be difficult work, it always is.
This blog will be an archive to anyone's contributions and takes to this au. I'll be checking Charles blog, checking the tags that are listed
#avatar the dead moon
#avatar new omashu
#avatar fallout au
Though, if you want to make sure that I don't miss your contribution, always @ me
In the morning, I'll start making a master list that collects the major context and info for this au

"A herald in Mordor" by Herbalspells (Jedi_librarian)
Mature, Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Adar has declared himself King of Mordor. And a King is always in need of a herald. Unfortunately, he has his eyes set on one herald in particular. There is nothing that would make Gil-Galad part with his herald, except that Adar has promised to recall his children to Mordor and trouble the peoples of Middle-Earth no longer. He will also lend his army in the fight against Sauron. And though Elrond feels that he would sooner die, it is painfully clear what the lesser of the two evils are, and the whole of Middle-Earth is at stake. Besides, they only need a few months in order to defeat Sauron, once they have done that then he will be able to return to Lindon for good. This is just a temporary sacrifice. And his dear friend and brother Prince Durin will not be far away. AU that takes place just after Season 2 Episode 1, when Elrond is working at the boathouse, but just before Galadriel goes to talk to him about joining the mission to Eregion.
Explicit works below the cut! :)

Meanwhile, Gil-galad will not forsake his herald. He joins forces with the newly crowned dwarven king, Durin IV, who really just wants his friend back.

Of Convenience 5.2
(all previous parts of "Of Convenience")
Adar x Celebrimbor (silverscars) political marriage AU, 5th snippet, part 2. The fallout of Adar's prior revelation. Celebrimbor has a Gil-Galad moment (disappointment), a Feanor moment (rage), and a mental breakdown. Not neccessarily in that order. Somehow the negotiations turn out okay afterwards.
This is a bit of insanity but honestly, I imagine Celebrimbor would not take it well if he knew Galadriel had told Adar about Nenya's whereabouts, or that Elrond had brought the ring into the uruk camp with him. Plus I feel Brimby is entitled to a lil breakdown by now. He's had a wild few days. (There is some silverscars tenderness at the end too!) (Btw this is be the longest snippet yet, w t h where are these words coming from?!)
"Also. Galadriel tells me Lord Celebrimbor managed to create three rings of great power - great enough to extend the stay of the elves in Middle Earth. One of which was bestowed upon her, Nenya- she confided in me that she gave it away before attacking my camp. That she'd given it to an elf that would arrive with Lindon's army," the short pause, undoutedbly used for dramatic effect, was defeaning. "I assume this elf to be you, herald Elrond."
"And I also I believe that combining the power of these rings with the crown will allow me to permanently rid us all of Sauron. If you choose to hand them over to me."
It was as if somehow, all sound had deserted the inside of Adar's tent. At least, it felt that way to Celebrimbor. Adar's words rang in his ears, endlessly repeating.
As incredulous as he felt, the smith wasn't sure where to direct his attention towards first; the uruk who had more or less just insinuated that the elves should just hand over their precious rings to him, Galadriel who had given away such a strategic advantage, or Elrond who might actually-
The smith first settled his gaze on Galadriel, hoping that Adar had simply picked up rumors or scraps of conversation and constructed himself a full picture from it that might benefit his plans but would not hold up to reality.
Unfortunately for Celebrimbor's sanity, Galadriel looked caught, then stricken, and soon averted her face to the far side of the tent. It was clear that Adar had spoken the truth.
In the back of his mind, Celebrimbor understood what her intentions might have been. He too had expected Adar to be more cooperative, now that the uruk had secured himself the neccessary edge to demand a treaty. He'd been the one to suggest this path, after all.
Telling Adar about the rings themselves might have counted as a tactic to show that the elves had an edge as well, that he should not underestimate their prowess and that they could not just be roped into his own plans and considerations.
But telling him about where Nenya was, endangering Elrond's life in the process-
The smith attempted to diffuse the situation. "The existance of the rings are a well-known fact by now," though he himself hadn't even known until that moment who got to wear them, he couldn't help but think bitterly, "I am sure Elrond wouldn't risk bringing one of the rings into such close promixity to potential danger."
There was the sound of a sucked-in breath on the other side of the table, and Celebrimbor went very, very still.
With an almost pleading, incredulous expression, he let his gaze drift over towards Elrond. Not just hoping, but praying to the Valar that he'd taken the wrong clue from the other elf's noise.
Elrond outwardly appeared unmoved, but Celebrimbor knew his friend well. Judging by the way he had tensed up, the slightly widened eyes, Celebrimbor suddenly knew his fears had not been unfounded - he could see the faint glimmer of a fine, silver chain around Elrond's neck, almost imperceptible against the herald's collar, and the smith's heart sank and dropped into his stomach.
"Please tell me you didn't," the smith couldn't help but ask - one last, foolish attempt to be proven wrong. He didn't care that Adar could hear. He couldn't believe that two of his friends, whom he had considered among the wisest and most noble of his kind, had inadvertently managed to turn such promising negotations so volatile. And that they had heaped even more worries onto Celebrimbor's shoulders in the process.
"Of course not," Elrond replied as he tried to hold Celebrimbor's gaze. But his words convinced absolutely no one.
Least of all Adar, who hummed and appeared to be exceedingly smug has he leant back in his chair.
"Well, well," he drawled. "Looks like we are getting somewhere after all."
As Elrond regained his composure and began to threaten having his riders overrun Adar's camp if he so much as laid a finger on the herald or his friends, and Adar began to press for the elves to hand over the rings so Adar might use the full force of them and Morgoth's crown against Sauron, Celebrimbor found his mind just...detaching itself from the conversation.
He could tell Galadriel was trying to get a word in as well, but it was as if the others were speaking a language unknown to his ears.
His faith in the wisdom and foresight of elvenkind had been strained plenty already, not least of all by the history of his own house. He would hardly call himself a shining example of either virtue, either.
But the current situation really had him question whether this was all the Deceiver playing them for fools, or if they weren't all being fools on their own volition. He had certainly expected more - from the others (including Adar), but also from himself.
The smith realized that he'd slouched down on his own seat and curled up into himself over the table, mouth covered by a hand and eyes wide in horror as the full scale and danger of their current situation began to press down upon him.
Here they were, two armies at odds with one another, and in the middle of that, the smith Sauron had intended to use to further his own plans. As well as one of the elven rings of power. All well within his grasp. All of which could have been avoided, if they hadn't squabbled with one another, if they hadn't been led astray by their own overconfidence.
Finally, Celebrimbor reached out and pulled over the wine chalice. Instead of pouring himself a glass, however, he felt his own hand wrap around the handle and clutch it, desperately trying to find something to hold onto. And, perhaps, throw across the tent. But that would remain a truth only he himself was to be privy to.
Through the fog of his own worries and a mounting sense of hysteria, the smith could hear a faint voice call out to him. As he wrenched himself back to the dispute at hand - albeit with difficulty - Celebrimbor could see Galadriel's worried face in front of himself, leaning over the table even as Adar's uruk guards tried to hold her back.
Maybe she'd asked his opinion, or maybe she'd inquired after his wellbeing. The smith cared not. He shook his head and closed his eyes as he held up his hand to ward her off. The tent suddenly felt entirely too suffocating.
Not caring about what a sight he would be to the others, Celebrimbor sprung up from his seat. The tent fell quiet as his chair toppled to the ground, and suddenly, the eyes of Adar, Elrond and Galadriel, as well as Vorohil and the uruk guards, were on him.
A manic giggle escaped the smith, who held up a finger and felt his face pull into a grimace of cordial elation that he didn't feel a drop of. "If, if you would excuse me for but a moment, please."
And with that, he spun around and marched out of the tent. He vaguely heard Adar ordering two of the uruk to follow him, but they didn't stop him from stepping outside.
The fresh air was both a relief and a shock to Celebrimbor. He stood outside for a moment, breathing erratically as he felt like he might not quite get in another gulp of air, mind spinning with everything that had happened to him those last few weeks. He felt as if he were drowning as he swam against a current, until suddenly, something snapped inside him.
He almost felt removed from his own body as he started shouting to the skies above. He had just enough propriety left to do so not in a language most of the others would understand, and so he began to curse loudly in khuzdul of all things.
Insult after insult fell out of his mouth - he cursed Sauron and his vile manipulations, he cursed the stubbornness of Galadriel and the carelessness of Elrond, he cursed his own pride and gullibility, he cursed Adar's lack of insight and Gil-Galad's abscence. And then he cursed everything else, from his own house up to and including the Valar and Eru himself.
When finally, the last of his vitriol and bad temper had bled out of him, Celebrimbor almost sank to the ground in exhaustion. It was both as if he'd rid himself of a great poison that had overtaken him, and as if he hadn't properly rested in several months. The latter of which, sadly, could have been true, come to think of it.
As he looked up again, the uruk in the camp had stopped whatever it was they were doing - one of them had raised a hammer above his head and halted in that pose, another had dropped a barrel she'd been carrying, and several had drawn their weapons and pointed it in the direction of the elf in their midst. Celebrimbor couldn't fault them for it - he must appear quite mad, all things considered, and he couldn't say for certain that he wasn't.
When he righted himself, a little flustered, the uruk scurried backwards and away from him. Seemed that in their perception, his outburst had not been that of a pathetic elf wailing about his own misery, though Celebrimbor couldn't guess what they might see him as instead.
"I apologize. These so-called 'leaders' are particularly bothersome today," Celebrimbor said to the uruk in general, then turned around and went back inside the tent - this time, with the determination to somehow put all of this right.
He hadn't come so far, given himself away in a marriage and helped drag nearly everyone to the negotiation table for things to fall apart around him now because of some trinkets he'd made and the foolishness of people who should have known better.
As he stepped back into the tent, he was greated by a variety of expressions, none of them positive - the uruk guards looked either downright frightened or aghast, Galadriel's eyes were opened wide and she was leaning away from the tent flap he'd come back in from, Elrond - who could speak khuzdul - seemed utterly scandalized, and Adar himself had gripped the handle of his sword even as he remained rooted to his throne.
Celebrimbor exhaled a breath, paused a moment, then drew another one in, before he continued where he'd left off outside the tent.
"How is it, when compared to you," he pointed at Galadriel, "the commander of the Northern armies collaborating with our greatest and most dangerous foe, getting yourself captured by our enemy and revealing the whereabouts of Nenya," she flinched, but Celebrimbor had already turned to Elrond,
"you, the herald of High King Gil-Galad himself, who has not only kept that ring but brought it with him into a battle and into the very heart of an enemy camp instead of leaving it with someone else," he turned towards Adar finally,
"and you, who claims he will vanquish Sauron and wants to create a lasting peace, for the wellbeing of his children, but who seems determined to sabotage every attempt at collaboration with frankly ludicruous demands and needlessly cruel ideas,"
he pointed to himself, "that I, who let Sauron himself walk into my city and practically handed him the keys, who was willing to believe his lies because he played into my inflated sense of ego and my pathetic need to outshine my grandfather, might actually run the risk of counting as the most responsible one between all of us, when it should be the opposite?!"
Well, even he hadn't expected that he still had enough fire left in him to start yelling again. He'd be impressed with himself, if this didn't remind the smith of his own grandfather far too much. But perhaps if no one was willing to listen to reason and actually work towards a solution for all of them, screaming people into submission was the only option left.
Judging by the chastized expressions on everyone else's faces, and the way nobody dared to talk back at him, Celebrimbor might have been onto something in this instance. He'd try not to make a habit of it though - suddenly he wished back for Gil-Galad's disappointment and understood the way the high king looked so utterly, completely tired all the time.
With a deep, resounding sigh, his shoulders deflated, and Celebrimbor slowly walked over to Adar's side. The uruk leant the slightest bit away from him for a moment before he regained himself, but even his guards seemed too unsettled to stop the screaming mad elf from getting closer to their leader.
To everyone's surprise, Celebrimbor dropped down on his knees next to Adar instead, and grasped his arm as he looked up at the other. The uruk's face was unreadable, and he still hadn't relinquished his grasp on his sword.
This time, the smith's voice was much softer. "Husband," he started, and Adar's eyes widened. "If you are to join forces with Lindon, their army and yours would be the same. It would be a shared endeavour. Both armies would walk up to Eregion's walls and demand its surrender - and you would march into the open gates side by side with the High King himself."
"It would make no more sense for Elrond to relinquish the ring as it would be for you to hand over Morgoth's crown. If we indeed need both to fight and defeat Sauron, we will do so - together, as a united force. And for that, we need trust."
His gaze turned imploring. "I have made no attempt to desert you since we took each other as spouses. Me and Galadriel walked alongside you to greet Elrond and the other elves, and we did not run or betray you. You have to put trust into the sincerity of our joined efforts for this alliance to come to fruition. Same as they do towards you."
"A lasting peace cannot grow on demands and suspicions. It can only grow on trust."
As the smith finished his appeal to Adar's reason, the uruk's face held a stunned look. His whole attention was focused on Celebrimbor, as if he'd seen the elf for the first time - and well, Celebrimbor supposed in a sense, the other had. He usually tried to keep his own temper in check, too aware of his own heritage and its destructive power.
Slowly, but surely, Celebrimbor could see the uruk's mind begin to work again behind his eyes, as his eyebrows knit and his lips pursed.
The smith held his breath as the uruk detached his gauntleted hand from the handle of his sword, and instead rested it on Celebrimbor's arm. But he didn't try to pry the smith's hand away.
"Please, get up, Celebrimbor," Adar said, unexpectedly gentle. It was the smith's turn to be too stunned to speak as the uruk got up, urged the smith to stand, bent to right his chair, and then carefully pushed Celebrimbor into it, before he poured him some water - not wine - and pressed the glass into his hand. "Rest."
The smith blinked, and then watched as Adar rounded behind him and faced Galadriel and Elrond, who had watched the scene before them with in silence.
The uruk seemed to fight with himself for a brief moment, and then rose to his full height. "Herald Elrond. Please, tell your king that I am interested in joining our forces. Tell him of what we discussed in this tent. Tell him..." he briefly faltered. "Tell him that I have Morgoth's crown, and that I would walk to the gates of Eregion with him and the elven rings. So we can finally be done with the evil that occupies it."
"And so that we may, luck permitting, use our shared victory to build a prosperous cooperation between our people, and my marriage to the Lord of- to Celebrimbor, to help usher in a lasting peace."
With a sigh of relief, Celebrimbor watched as Elrond hesitated, briefly, and then nodded in agreement. "I will return to my king at once and tell him of your proposal. I will advocate on your behalf...and on your husband's."
Celebrimbor was hit with such a rush of hope that his hands began to shake, even as he tried to take a calming drink of water. If one of the others noticed, they thankfully didn't bring any attention to it.

Finally, it’s day 5 of Genreuary so here’s my Magical Girl AU poster, starring Queen Rose, Queen Poppy, Branch, Smidge, Cooper, @jade-green-butterfly’s Trollsona, Jussy, and Minuet Sonata. The themes of the AU are fairies, elements, animals, love, and friendships.
My magical girl AU, Elemental Kaleidoscope, follow the story of a group of high school students who are chosen to become fairies by the wise and kind fairy leaders, King Oberon and Queen Titania and battle the forces of evil that is threatening their world with their elemental powers while trying to keep up with their daily lives.
The first season focuses on the titular team on the poster, the Rainbow Vale, which is formed when its members were chosen by the fairies in Harmony City. Poppy gaining the power over the water element and Rose was handpicked to be the leader when she was given the most powerful, celestial element, which is aether or quintessence. Branch altruistically joined the group because of his power over earth. They were later joined by Smidge, who has fire elemental magic, Minuet Sonata, who turned out to be chosen with the air element, Cooper, who has the mind element joined them enthusiastically and so does his girlfriend, Jussy, who has powers over the energy element. Together, they put their differences aside and work together to fight the evil witch, Chef, the Party Crashers, Creek, who was corrupted by the darkness, and their minions.
Season 2 reveals that the Rainbow Vale fairies aren’t the only ones in the universe. Barb and her team, the Iridescents have joined in the scene alongside other fairy teams when they are summoned by the fairies to team up with each other, but tensions begin to rise. Soon, the fairy teams are forced to put disagreements aside to defeat an incursion of various enemies, including Rose’s ex-boyfriend, Chaz, Pushy Poppy, and Marshtato Mary. Soon, their teamwork brought the fairies closer together as they find a close bond forming between them in both their ordinary lives and their missions altogether. Their bonds of friendship and trust will be put to the limit in order to protect their home, the civilians, and each other from the upcoming threat that is looming over their wings.
In Season 3, there was a group of fairies who used to fight evil on behalf of King Oberon and Queen Titania, and it turned out to be the BroZone, which is composed of Branch’s four older brothers, John Dory, Spruce, Clay, and Floyd. They were the best of the best but they broke up after having a fallout. Far off in a deep corner of the galaxy, Floyd was trying to save his familiar from a pair of dark mages, Velvet and Veneer. Soon, John Dory, Spruce, and Clay tried to help him get it back but the duo were too powerful to fight. Just before the two would grab them, Rose appears, saving them and bringing them to earth, as the fairies prepare for the ultimate showdown and more revelations were opened up. All the fairies finally defeated Velvet and Veneer through their purification spells combined.
Season 4 still focuses on the Rainbow Vale but two more teams were formed. Viva, Poppy’s younger twin sister was chosen to lead a new group of fairies so she, alongside Aurora and Twilight, the twin younger sisters of Rose, and a group of friends with Gia Grooves, a lone fairy mentoring them. Meanwhile, Cerise with her adoptive siblings and a redeemed Veneer formed their own team at the same time. As darkness gathers in the skies above, both Viva, Twilight, and Cerise prepare their untested squads for a fight with forces beyond their comprehension... and the true threat that awaits far from their expectations.
This explanation is really long because I was inspired by the Star Guardians skins from League of Legends and a lot of magical girl stuff like Winx Club, W.I.T.C.H, Pretty Cure, and many more. For the familiars of the Rainbow Vale members, Rose has a lion named Majesty, Poppy’s pet, Perky is an otter, Branch has Shelliot and a bear named Tlaltecuhtli, Smidge has a fox named Blaze, Cooper has an alicorn named Zapp, Jussy has Fawna, and Minuet Sonata has an eagle named Stormy.
Here ya go, the first artwork for my magical girl AU!

Been thinking more on this au and I'm gonna put my thoughts here till I can post them to Tumblr later. Also heads up there's murder and death please proceed with caution.
Okay backstories.
Pacifica's backstory as I stated last night was she was abandoned by her biological parents and was taken in by Fidds and Abbey. Thus this began her path towards her current position in crime.
For Fidds his backstory is he was actually an assassin at one point in his lifetime. The path that set him on this was the tragic murder of his wife and son. Due to his intellect making him climb up in the world, rival investors had hired ironically enough assassins to hit his family. Hoping that the grief would cripple him.
They were wrong.
Instead he set his sights on them, furious and grief stricken and when the police failed to do their job he took it upon himself to track them down and quite literally made them disappear off the face of the Earth. Kicking starting his career in crimes. He'd meet Bill on one of his assassin assessments and reluctantly joined him. He's the first member that joined.
For Abigale it was because she'd snapped. She's a brilliant inventor and chemist, and Abigale wanted to do something to change the world. However her father was against this, instead setting her up for marriage to a complete stranger. It was the constant complaints and ridicule and disregard for her that made her snap. Abigale would end up setting her family home aflame with the man who was her father inside. After that she was a drifter, committing theft and arson for money and never being caught. It was because of this skill Bill had sought her out and recruited her.
Bill's backstory is.....more romantically tragic.
Bill first came to Earth to essentially explore the dimension. Bored but curious for something interesting. He'd find that interest in a man named Stanford Pines. Stanford was a young detective in training back then, brilliant and surprising and Bill unknowingly fell in love with him. And because of this Bill wanted to combine his realm with Ford's. It didn't end well.
The portal that Bill had persuaded Ford into helping build had been incomplete, and as a result Bill was actually injured in the fallout. Both emotionally when they were screaming and fighting one another from the betrayal and heartbreak, but also physically. Bill was left with a horrifying scar. A crack in his body. And to top it off he was stranded on Earth. Unable to return home and with limited powers to boot. The effects of using them too much actually hurting him. It was this that forced Bill to wander, angry and betrayed by Ford and it's during this that he decided to start his group. Using the knowledge on the justice system Ford had taught him to his advantage. Basically him acquiring the others was just him seeing that they too were betrayed by the world as well as incredibly skilled to help his crime ring begin.
