Okay Pokémon Fandom, I have a question. (That turned into a ramble)

What is the difference between an Ultra Wormhole and a Space-Time rift.

There are many similarities between the two as

The space-time rift in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is highly similar in design to Ultra Wormholes. In addition, Cogita says that it is believed to be a portal to "innumerable other dimensions", a belief that is similar to the concept of Ultra Space, and Ingo says that if the player fell from the rift, they "come from another world altogether, most likely." (Bulbapedia)

So what is the real difference between them?

Is it that Time-Space rifts don’t just link different dimensions but different time periods as well?

Would Ultra Beasts be drawn to Time-Space Rift Fallers like Ingo and PLA PC as they are drawn to Ultra Wormhole fallers like Anabel?

And speaking of fallers would the PCs from Pokemon Dungeon be considered Fallers? And if so does that mean that Grovyle and Dusknoir came through a Space Time Rift as opposed to an Ultra Wormhole?

And if it’s common for Fallers to develop amnesia (as seen with Ingo, Anabel and Dungeons PC), why didn’t the Ash suffer any negative effects when he went through the Ultra Wormhole? Was it because he was with Nebby?

okay so with announcement of pokemon legends Z-A people are talking about what characters could become fallers so let's go with the characters i could see becoming fallers for each gen!

the pattern i've seen is that they are miner characters not just battle facility leaders, because it's implied in ORAS that looker is a faller, so yeah.

gen 1) now gen 1 doesn't have many miner characters so if there is going to be one from these games i think it would be Green, Bill, or Daisy. Green because of all the weirdness with her and leaf. Bill because he's the least impotent character in the kanto story. Now daisy is blue's older sister who in gen 2 can give your pokemon hair cuts to increase friendship.

gen 2) now like gen 1, gen 2 doesn't have alot of characters that could be fallers. The characters i could see being fallers is only really kris the forgotten protag

gen 3) we already have Anabel but if we are to get another one, I could see it happing to the other battle facility leaders, But I see Lisia being one because outside of her introducing us to contests, we don't have to see her after that.

gen 4) now gen 4! we still have the facility leaders from these games and I think the most likely of them is Palmer. Outside of them I can see it being bebe she run's the pc system and gives you an egg.

gen 5) now if we are going to get another faller from gen 5 we still have emmet but there a few more candidates. first we have Benga, Alder's grandson. Bengan is also a facility leader, of the black town/white tree hollow. the last ones I can think of is N's two sisters, i think they could interesting.

gen 6) for gen 6 we have the battle mesa girls, but I could also see emma also becoming a faller.

gen 7) one of the ultra recon squad members or ryuki i guess?

gen 8) now the only gen 8 character i could see is peonia and with it being basically confirmed that peony is penny's dad that means peonia and penny are sister's, so penny's sister going missing could be interesting.

gen 9) i have no clue, one of the teachers i guess??

I recently re reading the sun and moon chapters from pokespe/ pokemon adventures and it got me thinking.

The most underused and honestly coolest plot point for me in the original sun and moon games were the fallers. They were people who had crossed through an ultra worm hole. These people are said to carry an energy with them (which I don't think ever leaves) this energy attracts ultra beasts to them and makes them extremely aggressive, looker and nanu theorized that it was because the energy reminds them of home and they'll do anything to get there, and this is what lead to the death of the original faller.

In the games looker and nanu tell us that are player characters are fallers and use us to lead the ultra beasts away from Anabel.

In the manga fallers are brought up again in passing when Anabel is talking to sun and moon about the ultra beasts and physically shows them the aura attached to her after leaving the worm hole.

But this is where my question comes in, sun and moon get trapped in ultra space for 6 months so wouldnt this also makes them fallers.

Also in the games , the original faller, Anabel and Mohn (who are all fallers) lose their memory and it's never explained why.

But in manga , sun, moon, lusamime, guzma and eventually galdion travel through the worm holes , and in the game Lillie also goes and nothing happens to there memories. So it makes me wonder what happened. It's just an interesting thought.

Also the aura that Anabel has is very similar to the ones sun and moon get where there bonded to solgaleo and lunala. Ever just being around them activates it , like we see it the ultra megalopolis. Lunala and moon just battling together caused such a large bout of energy that it attracted Necrozma to them.

I want them to bring the faller stuff back in pokemon media it's so interesting. If they ever do a legends game for alola the protagonists losing there memories being fallers could work so well.
