We've been seeing more fae on here recently. It's nice. We're all so different and we're still all fae and that's wonderful, I think. Hi! I shrieked and jumped when I saw another fae shapeshifter followed my main.

Being physically a werewolf while being physically fae is so weird. Like, I am a shapeshifter. I can be anything at any time, I see a picture of a horse and there's a 50% chance I'll turn into a horse. But I just melt into that form. I'll picture myself with whatever I feel from under the veil, maybe even a full horse (or whatever I shapeshifted into) but it's different from when I turn into a wolf. It hurts all day, then at night I turn into a wolf. But it's slower. No melting and instantly reforming, but a slow and painful process. Bones stretching and fur growing. But it's still somewhat hidden under the veil. I see the flickers of it, the veil failing for a few seconds. And my mind is so much more altered. And when I change back, it's slow and painful again.
This doesn't happen for anything else, even though it is still so real and physical. Why does the veil work differently when I'm a wolf, but nothing else? Am I a werewolf AND a faerie? Or are they connected, am I a faerie who chose the form of a wolf to truly be?
I want answers, but I don't think I'll have them until I can be a faerie again, a creature or the forest, of rot. I'd love to hear if anyone has similar experiences, but that's not too important to me right now.

hi :3
I'm a changeling holothere, there is no precise term for what I am, but the closest ways to describe myself are a mix of ; fae, spirit, deity.
I follow from b-eholding, my personal is sculkshriek. This blog is dedicated to my identity as a nonhuman and to connect with others. Welcome!
More info under the cut.
I am related in some way to the beholding. An avatar? Or manifestation? Unsure.
I am referred to as the spirit of a thousand faces, and variations on that phrase. I am able to change my form, though some are more comfortable than others. Not all of my forms are visible to the human eye; others are simply not explainable.
I like to stylise my name as !WITNESS! . Some of my other names are; overseer, catalyst, nyacelia

court kossai / late 20th century ( adult , at least 25 ) / fae + he pronouns , not they
plural faerie court - individually : all faeries all day / collectively : faerie in all ways , from mind to spirit to body
was on cohost , unfortunately shut down . currently on dreamwidth @ kossai as well , but prefer tumblr for some things . main focus on faeriehood and alterhumanity , but post about interests and hobbies as well . see tesblr tag for elder scrolls stuff . also , artfight .
post collections :
assortment on physical nonhumanity
things to know :
language is hard . no questions , no compliments . should not have to explain difficulty just for people to treat with decency . will not take kindly to labels like semiscribal , or word salad . more on that .
religious & spiritual , will not tolerate hate or " logical " arguments , or conflation of religion with delusion . both deserve separate spaces and separate words , and everyone deserve right to choose which one serve needs better .
no interest in fakeclaimers . nonhumanity and plurality can be anything , and this is good .
kossai do not care for rad-queer or trans-ID communities . understand motivations and reasons behind some labels , but believe these communities to be unfair places which only make most situations worse . will not fight , but will very likely block active community members .
prefer plural language over singular , such as faerselves or himselves . kossai is not one person , just alias which collective court agree to share .
will block folks who refuse to treat others , or kossai , with respect and decency .

Being nonhuman can be so normal sometimes and other times you realize how painfully different everything is.
Even my sight is different than other’s. There are things I see that humans have trouble glimpsing.
I exist beyond the veil and yet I am surrounded by my own veil of unreality. I wear this glamour like a second skin. How I wish I could show some my true form sometimes…
I wonder if I met other fae trapped as I am if they could see my true form. I doubt it still, as my disguise is quite advanced even by our standards. Perhaps they could see the animal form I hide within.

Welcome~
The name’s Minnow. I’m an adult, Irish wolfhound, and Pooka (fae). I do not identify with the label therian but I do use it for the sake of tagging. I am physically nonhuman, and I consider myself a holothere.
Try to “reality check” me and 1. yur gettin blocked 2. I am bitin your left ear off.
I am part of a DID system, and I have ADHD. I may not always be present to respond but I love interactin’ with folks. This is a sideblog. Our main/system blog is @fairyhastur. Only I will post here.
Mainly this is going to be about my experience as a fae dog, but occasionally I’ll reblog/post photos of neat things. Like barbed wire <3 or the woods.
Not much of a DNI but I block liberally.

^^ me btw

Soo I’m a fish clado and I have a “pet” betta. (I consider him more like a buddy than anything.) I do feel like we share a special bond which might also be due to my magical practice and him aiding me in spiritual work. I use him as a symbol of prosperity and protection in my life. I feel that I understand him on a deeper level than most people would be able to. His behavior makes perfect sense to me, and I try to make his home as much like how I would like it as possible. I do often feel jealous that he’s able to live without a veil hiding his true form. He’s able to be fully himself.
Therians who have ever had a pet of a same/similar species, what’s it like? Do you feel like you can bond with them in a special way? Or do you feel jealous of them sometimes? I’m interested in hearing experiences abt this

POLL: Is your physical nonhumanity genetic?
In an effort to learn more about physical nonhumanity and the community surrounding it, i’ve developed a poll for physical nonhumans who consider their physical nonhumanity genetic! Please consider answering and reblogging for reach, thank you!
Note:: if you are rude to others about their personal beliefs regardless of whether someone is experiencing delusions or psychosis or not, you will be promptly blocked. This poll is for everyone: CLCZ, endels, holotheres, nonhumans whose identity isn’t affected by delusions, etc!
If you are confused about any of the “yes” options and whether or not they apply to you, here are some examples below!
Please note that these are just Examples and not the ONLY way you can fall into any of these categories. If you are still confused about any of them, feel free to post a comment or reblog with your questions
Yes, because of genetic disability
Examples:
Genetic disability where “normal” human activities are made difficult in some way, leading you to a belief that you are physically nonhuman
Dehumanization because of a genetic disability leading to a belief that you are physically nonhuman
The genetic disability includes physical traits that appear “nonhuman” in some sense, leading to a belief that you are physically nonhuman.
Yes, because of ancestry or ethnicity
Examples:
Family lore/legend alludes to nonhuman ancestry
Ancestry can be directly or indirectly linked to nonhumans (i.e. an Irish person with a last name close to or within Ossory, leading them to believe they descended from Faoladh [Irish Werewolves aka the Wolves of Ossory])
You believe you are a direct descendant of a nonhuman creature, whether it be a known one from a legend or an unknown one
Yes, because my parents are/were nonhuman which means I’m genetically nonhuman
Note: can also include grandparents if you feel this fits. Generally supposed to describe recent DNA/Ancestry rather than the above option.
Examples:
One or both birth parents identify as nonhuman, and you identify as nonhuman as well, and because of this you believe you are genetically nonhuman
You are adopted and believe either one or both of your birth parents are nonhuman, meaning you are genetically nonhuman
You believe your parents carry a nonhuman gene, and while they aren’t necessarily nonhuman the gene expressed in you making you genetically nonhuman
Yes, because I’m genetically a fae/changeling/etc affected by a veil/glamour
Note: if you don’t believe you are affected by a veil/glamour, feel free to choose this option regardless
Examples:
You believe you’re a nonhuman who was swapped with a human baby during your infancy and took its place (i.e. Changelings)
Yes, because I was genetically tested on
Examples:
You were originally part of a different, nonhuman species but after genetic experiments you were morphed into your current humanoid form
You were originally fully human but after genetic experiments are now partially or fully nonhuman

I am nonhuman. My true body exists in the fae realm which is one irrevocably connected to the “physical” realm. The person one sees when interacting with me is simply a veil. A disguise designed to allow me to transverse the human plane. I am tethered to both worlds, but ultimately I belong to the fae dimension.
I am most related to the pooka (púca), but I believe I am a kind unique to myself. I am a shapeshifter, with many souls trapped within my head each with their own form(s). That is one of the reasons it is so hard for me to reside within therian spaces. You are often expected to have a set of sturdy identities. Not to have a fluid, ever-changing scope of shapes.
I write this with webbed fingers. Often they are paws, sometimes hands. We are not one thing. We are a mass of shifting writhing shapes and creatures. We are eternal.

looking back on my childhood there are so many things that make so much sense from a nonhuman perspective. I have horrible memory, but I do know that I was absolutely convinced that I was adopted growing up. I never felt like I was a true part of the family that I belonged to. I never felt a sense of community with people.
now it’s obvious that this feeling arose from the fact that I’m not human, and that I am a changeling. I belong to another realm of existence.
there also comes my obsession with all things fantasy and fairy tales. One of the first books I ever got for myself was a huge collection of the grimms’ fairy tales. I especially loved animal stories. I identified with them so much, and it’s no wonder why.
there are a lot more examples of my behaviors being very off putting to humans, but I’m mainly focusing on my internal feelings in this post.
anyway I’m curious if any other nonhumans have had similar realizations about their childhoods.
