Hi everyone ...

I am Maram Al-Nabulsi, I currently live in the completely destroyed 🏚🚀city of Gaza, specifically Khan Younis. Since the war on Gaza began on 10/7/2023, my family - my father Muhammad, my mother Hiba and my siblings Nour, Maram, Mahmoud - have been living in constant fear, crying and suffering because of shrapnel, shells and bullets. We have no food🥘🌯, no electricity, no cooking gas, no schools🏢📚, no homes🏚, no cleaning supplies, no clothes🧣🧥🧤. Our house was completely destroyed. My school was bombed, and my sister Nour's university was turned into rubble, which deprived us all of education. The war forced us to live in displacement centers, which are just tents that are not suitable for living, especially in winter. Every day we live death, terror and panic a thousand times because of the continuous bombing of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the beginning of the war, we took refuge in my aunt's house, but it was also turned into rubble. Imagine: We have escaped imminent death more than 20 times, and have been displaced between shelters more than 13 times. My brothers and I have suffered from many diseases due to malnutrition, and we need medicine constantly. If we stay in Gaza, we may lose our lives. Recently, we have been seriously considering leaving Gaza to a safe place. However, the travel costs are very high. We need more than 70 thousand dollars to leave Gaza. Due to the exorbitant prices, rampant unemployment, insecurity, the ongoing blockade, and the continuous bombing, we have lost all our money. How can we live in such insecurity💔🙏, with the constant bombing and shrapnel flying above us? My dear compassionate friends around the world, with your generous donations, even if small, you can save 5 people from imminent death, allowing us to start a life outside Gaza full of love, peace, and hope. My name is mahmoud mohammed jaafar jaafar i studied computer engineering and graduated from university in 2023 i worked as a software engineer in a local company here in gaza unit the war started, then the company got destroyed and became unemployed and our house is destroyed partially and became inhabitant to live in but nevertheless we stayed in it because we do not else to go i currently live in north gaza where is a scarcity of food and i have 3 brothers and 4 sister one of them died while he was trying to find food for the family so i am the eldest in my family now i have to provide a living for them

the second screenshot is looking up the same exact thing, but with a (australian) vpn on. canadian vpn didn't fix it fyi.

THIS is exactly the type of censorship to be looking out for on tiktok. this actually is crazy.

Forgotten Memories & Therianthropy

Something I think that is fairly unique to my experience (exaggeration, obviously I can’t be the only one like this) as a therian is that discovering things about my theriotypes and my therianthropy is deeply intertwined with forgotten memories, buried feelings, and just in general uncovering bits and pieces of trauma and mulling on nostalgia. I have massive gaps in my memory, usually around the ages of 4-11 but some missing memories in my teens and before 4 years old as well, and trying to pinpoint a theriotype that I feel like has been with me for a long time is difficult because of this. I remember having a character who’s story revolved around them exploring the ruins of their life after their memory had long been erased, trying to figure out what happened and how, and I feel like that describes pretty well how therianthropy discovery feels for me.

Honestly, for the two theriotypes I am aware of, I’d say I’m incredibly lucky. The blue arctic fox just one day “came to me”. The scenthound dog was easy to pinpoint when I had my childhood dog by my side. Anything further than that, I struggle to know if these fleeting feelings are old or new, if it’s just a phase or something genuine. I don’t feel like my animalistic identity has changed significantly recently, so many of my efforts prove to be a dead end because I either don’t remember or I’ve grasped at something insignificant to who I am as a person, in an effort to explain myself.

I have made some progress recently, though. After opening up to the idea of being an aquatic animal I finally feel like I’ve found a significant part of me, even if nothing is confirmed yet. I definitely know that I have more of an emotional response to seeing porpoises than I have to any other animal I’ve questioned. Seeing pictures of them, it’s hard not to smile. Most of the trails I’ve chased don’t go farther than a vague feeling of “this might be me”, void of any feelings of joy or even sadness, and looking back a lot of them have too many similarities to my other theriotypes to be sure. The porpoise so far seems different, and my feelings towards them more closely mimics my initial feelings towards my other theriotypes at the beginning of discovery. I know that isn’t much to go off of to begin with, but I still consider this significant progress in finding those missing pieces of myself.

As a bonus, here are some of my favorite images of them that I’ve compiled so far. Hopefully I’ll be able to know for sure soon.

a lot has been going in my life right now, and I’m going back to college in the morning so I have a lot on my plate , but I do have some drafts I haven’t posted so I will hopefully edit and publish them in the next few days!

Urgent!! Fundraiser extremely low in donations.

I want to talk to you today about Maram Ashour ( @ashourmohammed ). She is Amal Ashour’s sister-in-law and has been in dire need of our help for a month now. I realised today how important it is to try and make everyday the best for a campaign, because at any moment, a family can be cut off from the outside world. It can be because they lost a phone, or it was damaged. Maram wanted to talk to you all so bad and share her story, but her phone screen was burned and she couldn't campaign as much as she wanted to. So now that she has tried her best to reach out again, please just give her 5 minutes of your time. 

Maram is only 26 years old and she has been forced to go through unimaginable pain for more than a year now. 

She has two very young kids: Amir and Hoor. Hoor is only 10 months old, which means she was born during the genocide. Maram had to go through unimaginable pain during her pregnancy. 

I want to remind you that this genocide is a feminist issue, too. Expecting mothers were forced to give birth in awful and unhygienic conditions, where they risked death. Women lacked both food and medicine and newborn babies couldn't  breastfeed properly  because their mothers were malnourished.

Maram was heavily pregnant when she was displaced from North Gaza. Currently her family  is living in a torn tent in Nuseirat, which we know is prone to IOF attacks. Being very close to the Netzarim corridor, there are frequent explosions and the family is under constant threat of displacement. 

With the temperature dropping rapidly, Maram is scared for her children. She might need to replace the tent and she will definitely need to buy blankets. Your contribution will also help Maram provide little Hoor with milk and diapers. Amir, who is only 3 years of age, needs new clothes for winter. 

I know that things have been difficult lately but still we should not give up on the Palestinian cause or blame Gazans for the rise of fascist sentiments in the Imperial core. Gaza is being bombed continuously and mothers are still clutching at their kids in fear. Not many of us here have known this evil, and so as privileged citizens of this world ( privileged to not face an escalating genocide), it is our duty to continue to stand in solidarity.  So please donate, even if it is a little. It might make a difference between life and death for Maram.
