WHY IS THIS SO BLACK⁉️ I'm sure you are wondering why this  hummus or dip looks so strange, dark or undefined 🤔🤔 LET ME TELL YOU WHY Have you heard of BLACK TAHINI⁉️ It is Made from black sesame seeds that have been roasted and grounded. It has a roasted flavor that's less rich and rounded than the normal Tahini. How lucky are we when we have foodies as friends and more importantly they live close by⁉️ Especially if the do live cooking👩‍🍳👨‍🍳👩‍🍳👨‍🍳‼️ The biggest advantage you get invited. My friend @itsmeheidirobert is one of those friends and This was her last live from the BACK TO BASIC SERIES, and luckily I got to try it. 🥕 🥗 Carrots salad, baked potatoes and turkey steaks from the BBQ. It was delicious😋😋 So at least ones a week o feel live having a private chef which is great. And the best is I not only get my free dinner from my private chef , I also gets a GOODIES bag. We went for dinner for the first time after lockdown at harvester #ancientbriton and was nicely greeted When arrived and served by a lovely waitresses who were really friendly and nothing was to much for them, check on through our meal. Food was hot and served in a good time. We thoroughly enjoyed it. 🍛 So food was great today, refills cold and hot are free, unlimited salad "just dig in". WHAT HAVE I MISSED ⁉️ I know I haven't been active for long time, but this is sometimes how life is. I have been very busy but despite this still was cooking and baking a lot. I have been asked so many times for the dough of my la7me b3ajeen. I made a little video "unfortunately not very professional" but I think good enough. I thought I'll share it with you as well. Hope you will like it. 👉500g flour 👉Around 1½ spoons salt 👉5-7g yeast 👉Around 2 spoons sugar 👉20-40 ml oil depends on how crunchy you like it 👉Between 300- 320ml water depending on your flour. DO YOU MAKE YOUR OWN CHEESE⁉️ WHERE DO YOU BUY YOUR MILK FROM⁉️ 👉The local folks in Lebanon were self-sufficient, surviving in large part by farming their land and orchards and raising their livestock. Back then grandmothers were milking the cows, making yogurts and there cheeses. Every family used their own spice mix to coat the cheese with. The cheese is usually left to mature for several weeks but can be consumed sooner. SHANKLISH tastes dry, salty and pungent. It is served as a mezze with fresh veggies, crumbled in the middle of the plate and surrounded with chopped onions, diced tomatoes and fresh herbs, with a basket of pita bread on the side. At last we are getting there, week 3 has come to an end. ‼️TAKE A LOOK AT THIS Week 2 KITCHEN refurbishment🥰 I know  I should have posted this earlier, but I wish I had more time. 👉Not having a kitchen, doesn't mean we can't produce lovely food. At last the first week of my kitchen refurbishment is finally over/finished. The space is already looking far more spacious, with the 👉 Back of chimney gone, 👉 another wall gone 👉 turned my living room into dining room/kitchen, but also balcony turned into kitchen. 😱 be it with a lot of noise, dust and ..... in the process.....  By the way we even found NEWSPAPERS from thev28TH JULY 1952 in the ceiling. Hopefully, only 2 more weeks to go. 🎈I just can't wait for the refurbishment to be done, so I can finally start cooking!!! 👉Even with the refurbishment going on,   I still managed to make plenty of 🏡home cooked food, which was great, but it'll be even greater to make some new creations in my new/finished kitchen. As man of you who knows ME, know that during the pandemic I have started senior care. As lots of the elderly were not be able to be visited/helped by family members I decided to do so. Not having much time to post but still did lots of cooking. Here some dishes I have been cooking for some of the seniors I been visiting.
