It's a slug!!! Fully hand-sewn cause doing so seemed easier than learning how to use our sewing machine... I'll do so eventually XD But it was actually fairly therapeutic.

He's a big fan of strawberries, can't blame her. And as per the peddler's suggestion, I used a pipe cleaner for the eye stems! Now they're bendyyy

I knew keeping these suckers around for over a decade would be worth it... Also, the single progress photo I took.

This is my first time sewing a plushie, and I had a grand time. Learned a lot along the way, and the ladder stitch that always intimated me is actually super easy XD Wanna know what the best thing about making such a slug is though? The way the eye stalks wiggle about if you shake him sjshsj

I saw a post complaining about people acting like Betty is some kind of poor little girl taken advantage of by her situation. And while I haven't seen this happening myself, it does make me laugh to think about because like,

Ma'am, that woman nearly killed everyone in the world *TWICE* trying to save her husband, INCLUDING TRYING TO MURDER ICE KING.

That woman has a body count that nobody asked her to make! She is just! So good! At crimes!! And we love that for her!!!

I'm planning on learning filet crochet so I can make a challah cover... I've got some crochet thread because I think it's going to have a nice drape but I'm so excited. I love the idea of crafting as many judaica things as possible (how cool would it be to hand-make a mezuzah case or havdalah candles?!)....... 😫

some puffy-paint patches i've made recently:

- a 1901 maine flag, because it looks sooooo much better than the current official flag

- a pillsbury halloween ghost cookie, a quintessential sign of spooky season for me in spite of the fact that i don't think i've ever actually eaten one

- a drop of blood with the phrase 'i belong inside', because i can't ever resist an awful play on words

- a set of linear equations that hide a fun little message when plotted out together :)

now i just need to decide what to put them on...
