apologies if this is invasive: are all of your headmates wolves as well? just wondering because our inner shape tends to change depending on who's fronting, and are curious if any of yours differ from your wolven body

Nah, you're good!

Most of our headmates aren't wolves, actually. The only full-wolf headmate that comes to mind is Alcove, but ze's only fronted once and that was years ago. We have some werewolves, such as Ramses, Owl, a few of the (other) Wills and Halts, Lewin, etc, but most folks aren't themselves wolves or werewolves. The "default", as we call it, Oakley, is actually an anthro cat, and its partner, Twitch, is... not quite human? Kind of like half-cricket, half-elf? He's a partial fictive based on a guy from a book series we haven't read in 6 or so years so the details are fuzzy. The vast majority of our headmates, while they aren't necessarily human, are human-adjacent (eg., Carmen is only vaguely human (although human-appearing) due to magic, and zhe also probably have some latent werewolf stuff considering zhe're Ramses' dad but it's unconfirmed; Snail, our bookkeeper/sentry, is a humanoid snail; Hiro is half bird; Sunny is a dragon shifter, as is zyr son Raydin; etc etc). It's essentially alongside the lines of an extranthaeic system (a system consisting primarily of nonhuman headmates) existing in a human body, but for us, it's a collective made up primarily of non-wolves existing in a wolf body.

Hi there! :D not sure if this has been done yet but can we request a positivity post for nonhuman-heavy (extranthaeic) systems? ^-^

Remarkably, I don’t think we’ve made a post like this yet! It’s been added to the queue. It was funny for us to write, as two human(ish) alters in an extremely nonhuman heavy system! We hope it’ll bring joy to every nonhuman who reads it!

(Nonhuman experience is so so so vast and diverse. If after our post anyone feels unrepresented or left out, we will quite happily write an additional post!)

Nemoneir - a neogender umbrella related to recurring dreams and the locations featured in them, homesickness / longing for a place that doesn’t exist, comfort in the unfamiliar, and dream logic. it may also be connected to impossible spaces, the idea of “home away from home,” déjà vu, and/or déjà rêvé.

Mellic - an umbrella term for genders centered around the themes of sleepiness, stars, blankets, pyjamas, plushies, nighttime, moons, stars and other similar concepts. the label broadly covers any genders that feel sleepy-in-nature (SLEEPIN) or related to concepts of sleepiness and bedtime.

Soporine - An umbrella term based on sleepiness (or lack thereof), dreams, drowsyness, sleep, and aesthetics / themes surrounding these

nemelline is a gender (and, potentially, umbrella term) for anyone who is nemoneir, mellic, and soporine.

the colors are a combination of the colors from the nemoneir, mellic, and soporine flags! the name is also a combination of these terms: "ne(m)-" is from nemoneir, "-(m)ell(i)-" is from mellic, and "-(i)ne" is from soporine.

An extranth/non-human heavy system is one with many extranths or non-human members. There is no specific percentage or number of non-human members required to identify as extranth-heavy.

We're aware of the term "extranthaeic" but wanted to make a flag that resembles many of the other "[something]-heavy" flags.
