My mom called last night and was telling me about my dad taking her out to eat at Ruby Tuesday’s and I was sleep deprived so by the time I fell asleep I guess my brain was on something because I dreamed there was a conspiracy between the BBC, Ruby Sunday, and Ruby Tuesday’s.

Anyway.

i had a dream that zukki went canon in a future atla episode, just by suki asking "babe?" and sokka saying "yes?" and suki saying "other one" and zuko saying "yes?" and there were no other even hints at romantic interactions the entirety of the episode, no kisses or physical affection whatsoever between any of them. she was asking for zuko specifically because they were investigating the disappearance of one of their friends and suki happened to find a bloodied weapon that looked like it came from the fire nation royal palace so she needed him to check it. the episode was actually pretty dark. alas i was too focused on zukki to remember much else.

it’s often painfully apparent if someone truly cares about dsmp as an actual story and or if they’re JUST a stan of a real life content creator who was on it, because the latter will always find a way to have the most exhaustingly boring and reductive takes.

they’ll completely ignore any actual character building that took place in order to project their feelings about the cc’s onto every character. which gives them a bizarrely skewed view of characters actions and motivations.

There's something about Dream going "Oh there's rumors of one of the DSMP members that I don't wanna name drop bc it was just rumors but Tommy was telling everyone without looking into it-"

And then proceeding to straight up name drop Jack Manifold and a cheating rumor PLUS NAME DROPPING AIMSEY EARLIER IN THE STREAM- there's something so slimey about it that makes me think that the og anonymous rumor that Dream was talking about is someone that Dream thinks is worth protecting bc he clearly does NOT give af about Jack and Aimsey and any speculation towards them.

New day, new book. I am finally reading Powers Of Darkness - the lost version of Dracula translated from Icelandic. And I am having a great time with it. The introduction was very well done, and I am so intrigued to find out all the differences between this book and the original novel.

There's something at the tip of my tongue about the parallels between Jackie and Wilson and Who We Are

How the narrator of Jackie and Wilson wants to run away with a woman that he's carved out of his imagination based on a brief interaction. How they would try the world, but good god it wasn't for them. So they run away from it into a fantasy world where they live by their own rules.

And then comes the narrator of Who We Are, who dreamt his whole life of finding someone who would hold him like water or like a knife, only to find that running away from the world will only get them so far, since "the hardest part is who we are". And only to find out that the "phantom life" he's fantasized about is actually just that: a phantom. And its absence sharpens like a knife
