thinking about how much time and mental effort I put into making sure my dog is exercised and enriched every day vs the new (largely north american) trend of never walking your dog because "they get enough during the day" (it's one hour of high arousal sports training) (where they sit in a crate for 40 mins of that) (and maybe a romp in a postcard-sized backyard if they're lucky) ((it's not enough for most dogs)) ((they're bragging about it))

NO NO, SAY IT, UR NOT WRONG!!! there's a reason why they're literally the Basic Upperclass White People Dog. the Two Kids And An InGround Pool Dog. They're the AP flour of dog. They become the shape of whatever mold you put them in.

#And usually that mold is simply “the family's best buddy”#they're SOOO basic I think that's what I like. they're so quintessential Dog.#they really are just whatever you need them to be bc they're so people-pleasing by DEFAULT #like yes I trained hugo and he gets exercise and play and I run his tricks with him to make sure he doesn't forget them #but Hugo is a lazy little couch boy. a hanging out while I work at my desk dog. a going on lots of road trips dog.#but goldens can be super athletic too... hiking partners or agility competitors #and we already know they can do Jobs. everyone always asks if Hugo's a service dog bc they just associate the breed with being a working do #sergle answers #GOD I wish I was middle-upper-class with an in-ground pool... hugo would LOVE a pool.............

Angel is back to flying around maniacally and clipping our heads with his wing as he flies by.

I was getting a little worried, he lost a bunch of flight feathers during his molt (mostly just his flight feathers-it was actually a fairly light molt, just for some reason like half his flight feathers decided they were done all at once)(this isn't abnormal for him, he's the king of weird molts. when we first got him all his tail feathers fell out during his baby molt and he just looked like a tiny dipshit for a while) and you could tell it was a lot harder for him to fly. He started walking everywhere or screaming at us to come carry him like some spoiled bird prince. But his new feathers came in and he still wasn't flying around like he used to.

Turns out he was just being lazy. Why fly when a human will carry you everywhere?

i have a theory that my upstairs neighbor got a curse placed on them so every day after the sun goes down they have to do the loudest jumping jacks possible for an hour or they'll die

#what could they possibly be doing up there.#im like 99% sure that sound isnt them having sex. unless they have sex by hopping up and down in the middle of the living room #it drives me insane #when they first moved in there used to be this buzzing that sounded like a saw or something #but that stopped happening #now its just them moving around constantly #i think theyre exercising? can someone tell them that we have access to a gym for free on campus #and therefore they dont have to do this to me #id be such a good upstairs neighbor. i never get off this couch

Long ass day 🫠🫠🫠 had PT (finally) for my shoulder after work and then had to drive like twenty minutes from my apartment cause that’s where the closest Target is 😩😩 and now I am finally home and I’m gonna take a very long and luxurious shower and then I’m drinking wine and eating pizza rolls and watching Scream 😌

friends i am begging you, if you want to get a dog and have never had one before, DO YOUR RESEARCH ON BREEDS.

i was working with a lady the other day who was telling me she wanted a puppy and had never had one before, so she went and adopted a 7 month old husky/border collie mix from the shelter after being denied at [pet store] for working too many hours. i'm pretty sure she got this dog because it has complete heterochromia and is a very tidy black and white, like a standard border collie.

please. do NOT do this. look into what dog breed will BEST fit your lifestyle. if you work long hours, do NOT get a working dog breed. maybe even don't get a dog. maybe get a less affectionate cat. i do not give a single FUCK if the dog is pretty. do both yourself and the dog a favor and get the dog that fits your life!!! do not get a working dog and stick it in an apartment or house and wonder why it's eating your furniture and destroying your house!!!

I had an Isaac run where it was so stressful my heartrate was at a 145bpm and it persisted for 6 hours. After that, like every day that followed, my heart would just suddenly shoot up to 120-140bpm for an hour if I so much as thought about something I've been stressing over recently. Everybody encouraging me to go to the ER. And I'm just like "Oh please I've actually always been like this, I'm fine." Had to chop down my Adderall dosage. But I swear I've felt like this since high school, but I guess the medicine enhances the feeling and that feeling was ANXIETY.

So, suffice to say, playing The Binding of Isaac™️ almost gave me a heart attack.

#and its not the adderall thats just inducing the heartrate #cause i only got prescribed adderall this year #dad got diagnosed with afib when i was still in school. he rushed himself to the hospital with mom while i was taking a test #i was like what the heck where did you guys go and mom said oh dad was having a heart attack or something and we didnt want to bother you #like WOULDNT YOU TELL YOUR CHILD OH MAYBE YOU WONT SEE YOUR FATHER AFTER WE GO TO THE HOSPITAL BUT FINISH YOUR EXAM BABY #that was like 2020 and we have a couple of those oxygen readers for your fingers and it measures your heartbeat #i out one on for fun im just sitting there at the dinner table and my heartrate was at 120 #like i didnt do anything we been stuck at home because pandemic and we just having a nice dinner #and my heartbeat was just thats my resting heartrate. they told me to try the blood pressure thing #average blood pressure but truly my heartbeat was just vibing at 120. mis padres were like oh no maybe you have afib too #babes youre too young to have that. and i jsut said oh is that what it means when im nauseous and have to lie down #i havent been diagnosed with anything. i suspect is tachycardia but no official thing #although i havent seen a cardiologist. what if we pay to get a screening and its nothing #i dont want to go thru all that and let it be nothing. lets wait until its a real problem #when my brother and his family visited just like what two weeks ago he was like #he was sitting on moms exercise bike and said it reads your heartrate #and it did you put your hands on the handle and it reads yer pulse #i told him like oooh let me try. hey brother my resting heartrate is 120 a lot. and hes like. what. get on this thing #and i get off the couch literally resting and lay my hands on the handles #and we see it go up. from 80 to 90 to 100 to 110 to 120 and hes a nurse and my moms a nurse and he says go upstairs and rest #dont hang out here with the kids. and im like ha i already told mom #he said sit there for ten minutes dont do anythingg and were trying again #he got mom to call our doctor and my doctor said to stop taking the adderall which is NOT IDEAL theres worse repurcussions to stop cold #so i cut mine in half. cause i had a dosage of 20mg and i almost fainted at work. we died the dosage down to 15 #but after all that i cut my 15 down to 7.5 cause hey i cant stop cold but i can ween myself #brother said i shouldnt be taking adderall if im not doing anything that requires focus. but im like i need focus to live man #look at how much ive been drawing...i mean its only in like hour long intervals but its productive #so theres that. i can feel my heartrate already up but i guess its just a thing with me...anywho #doodles #the binding of isaac

Nope! But I'm still fascinated by it :)#Some of these rooms have a very strong image in my head and some are fuzzier - it's been a bit since I reread #And I also haven't read with the layout in mind I don't think so there's that as well haha #I'll also freely admit to being very influenced by The Sims 2's build limitations when working these lol - spacing and density of items #Trying to map all these pieces of scenes into a continuous singular building is difficult! There are windows that butt up into other rooms!#It's a fun exercise tho :3 #Update: I have now reread with the layout in mind lol #My mental ears pricked every time there was a mention of furniture or layout lol #Like Max's couch! And a carpet in the foyer >:3c #And Dex's room also being upstairs :0 To think I almost made my first floorplan a single-story!#Silly me #I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've doodled Max's mom also :0 From memory - again - oops lol #I have always imagined that final scene with her as having this large-room/small in the frame kind of energy to it #All natural lighting and kind of dim and hazy - coming down from the high vibes #Actually pinning down a back wall is a whole other thing lol - sometimes the stairs are right there and sometimes they're in an alcove #It's always those tricky windows! And then actually populating a mansion with rooms that are useful lol #Dexter mentions that Max could've asked the cook but Max says he's asleep - how many people live on-site I wonder!#I'm also deeply enamoured with Max padding around in the middle of the night - a house he grew up in and feels safe wandering around in <3 #In his element ♥ Comfortable ♪♫
