Full Moon
The couple from last year's Werewolf / Sweater Weather enjoys some bedroom fun on their favorite night of the month. (SSBBW, SSBHWW -- that's "big handsome werewolf." CW: The fine line between desire and fear; explicit sex, but mostly implied rather than descriptive.)
Here's my belated contribution to Day 10 of Feedist Kinktober '24. This one is a few weeks late, but as soon as I saw the "Full Moon" prompt I knew what was going to happen.
As long as @fatguarddog keeps giving us an annual list of Kinktober prompts, this fictional couple will keep making appearances. I might bring them back before the month is over, if I have the time to write.
Monsterfucking isn't a kink of mine, but using a monster character to think about some of the primordial forces that inspire our kink was an illuminating exercise. This one was a lot of fun to write. Reblog if you enjoy it.
--
He gets hungry when the change hits. Hungry for her cooking. Hungry for her.
Sometimes, on these nights, he'll leave the house to hunt. But sometimes, when the snow is piled up in meter-high drifts, he stays indoors.
She knows what to do then. For a few days beforehand, she'll cook and cook and bake and bake until every surface in the kitchen is covered with food. Meats, lots of them, beef and mutton and venison, roasted and grilled and fried, stewed and sizzled. Always rare, always tender and dripping.
Bread, loaves and loaves of it. Cakes. Cupcakes. Puddings.
The kitchen is right next to the bedroom, and she can hear him moving around, ravenous, devouring.
When the change hits his appetites seem even more bottomless than they already are.
--
She feels vulnerable then, in a way she rarely feels around him otherwise. He's as much beast as man when the moon is full, and sometimes he's more beast than man. When that happens she can see the struggle in his eyes, the struggle to hold both sides of himself in balance, to regard her as his lover as well as his prey. The beast is very different from the man, who is as unfailingly as tender as he is strong, unfailingly kind to her and others even when his strength would allow him to be cruel.
The beast is different. And she is so vulnerable.
She's just as fat as he is. Or maybe he's just as fat as her. They've made each other this fat.
But while his rolls of fat and quivering belly are layered on top of powerful muscle, hers are nothing but softness. It's not that she doesn't pull her weight. On an isolated homestead in the woods there are always chores to do, and not just the cooking. She stretches and even lifts light weights to stay mobile, mobile enough that she can get around the kitchen and the garden. But by the end of the day the effort has left her ready to beach herself in bed and eat and eat.
Like she's doing now. He's not the only one with a hunger. She lifts a forkful of blueberry pie to her lips. She can hear him in the kitchen, tearing through the beef stew and the chops and the pot roast. She can imagine the trails of grease dribbling down his chins, stubble and sweat, ferocity, appetite.
They've made each other this fat. If it were entirely up to him, if the duties of the real world didn't intrude, her fat would be nothing but an ocean of immobile softness. When the moon isn't full, when the change hasn't taken him, his lovemaking is kind, eager, attentive. Pampering. He loves to spoil her, to satisfy her. To see her grow and grow and grow, rolls folding over onto rolls, all for him.
Warm. Soft. Pampered. Endlessly inviting.
Tender. Easily winded.
Unable to run.
Prey.
--
She's made herself so vulnerable. There's a cold fear inside of her, dancing in circles with the heat of her excitement. She eats to still the fear and to stoke the excitement. I trust him, she tells herself. He can control the change. For me he can control the change.
Some people would think it was madness. To give up a career and a condominium and designer handbags to live in a cabin in the cold, dark forest, miles from the nearest town, hours from the nearest city. But she had known from the moment she first set eyes on him that she would do it if he asked.
He was so kind, so thoughtful. So fat and so hungry, for her cooking and for her.
He didn't ask her to move in with him until he had explained to her about the change.
And she still did it.
--
I've made myself so vulnerable, she thinks, shoveling the last of the blueberry pie past her lips, her own breath ragged with fullness. I'm not sure I could even get up from bed right now. The stuffing has pushed her over the edge; when she's this full, she feels as if she might lose her mobility entirely. The thought makes her burn with heat. The thought makes her freeze with fear.
So soft. So tender.
So appetizing.
--
When he crashes through the door, beast and man are one thing. His strength is supernatural now. It moves with the same rhythms of the full moon that move the tides, that pull great waves of force up from the depths of the ocean until entire coastlines, in places far away from their ice-cold forest, drown in a surge of water and heat.
She's drowning too. Her breathing, ragged with fullness, grows shallow with fear. Heat and moisture, sweat and desire, churn like the ocean around the cold knot of fear at the pit of her stomach as he crashes through the door, hunger in his eyes. His belly is swollen and taut underneath its softness, filled to the brim with the tender dishes she spent days preparing.
On another night she'd rub it gently, smile, run her fingers through the hair of his chest and nuzzle her face against his stubble until she felt the softness of his chins yielding to her kiss. On another night she might comfort him, tease him. Did my hungry boy eat too much?
But there's nothing boyish in him now. Not a boy and not a man, or not only a man. A man and a beast, two hungers at war with one another.
Looming over her.
--
"Can you really control the change?"
She had asked him that after seeing it happen for the first time. So frightening but so exciting, like something out of an old and terrible legend.
He nodded. "It's difficult but I can do it. It's like… I know I want you, but I have to remind myself why I want you. Does that make sense?"
She nodded. "I think so. It's scary to see you like that." She pulled him in closer, feeling the strength beneath his fat as he relaxed and let himself sink into her softness. "But it's also hot."
"I'm glad." He grinned and squeezed her. "A lot of girls would run away the first time they saw that."
She laughed, playfully shoving her belly against his. "Do I look like the kind of girl who runs?"
Now he laughed too. "Nope. You look like a girl who sits and eats. My kind of girl." He kissed her. "Don't worry. I can control the change. You're safe with me."
But she had been so much smaller then.
--
Beast and man are one thing now and his strength is supernatural. How many hundreds of her pounds does he shift with his sheer brute strength as he takes her and mounts her? He could throw me across the room if he really wanted to, she thinks. The thought is frightening. Exciting.
His belly spilling onto her back rolls, over the sides of her hips. His hands on her thighs, then her shoulders, then wrapping themselves in her hair, pulling her head back. His breath on her neck, ragged and fierce, a wordless growl.
Hunger.
Her heart is pounding. The beast has teeth, she thinks. He could tear my throat out. Tear me to shreads.
Then she cries out as he thrusts, a force beyond human penetrating deep inside her. Wet with sweat and excitement, her fat rolls shake and quiver, crash against him like tidal waves.
--
Half excitement, half terror. A night that seems to last forever. She wants it to end. She never wants it to end.
His grip growing stronger and stronger, his breath more and more of a growl. His thrusts more forceful. He takes her ferociously, as if he can barely control his desires, the appetites of the beast mixed with the urges of the man who knows every inch of her fat body by heart.
How much she trusted him. To come all this way. Miles from the nearest town, hours from the nearest city. To risk this danger.
To get so fat for him, so fat that she could never leave.
She screams. Half pleasure and half terror. His teeth are at her throat.
Maybe this will be their last night together. Maybe tonight the dam holding back his hunger will finally break and he'll lose the man entirely, lose the man and become the beast.
She screams again.
Can she trust him to control the change?
When she comes it's like wave after wave crashing across the coastline.
And when the sun rises, it's like the storm has passed and her languid body is the surface of the ocean grown placid.
--
The beast is gone from his face now, thin lines of sunlight giving a golden cast to his pleasantly fatigued smile. She reaches fat fingers for his face, strokes the softness of his chins beneath the stubble.
"Are you hungry, big boy?"
He laughs. "Yeah. I worked up an appetite. And I could use some coffee, too."
She grins. "I set the timer for five A.M. It should be ready by now. Put plenty of cream in mine."
He sticks out his tongue puckishly. "Plenty of cream." He grins back. "Got it. Big girl."
She can see satisfied exhaustion in the way he heaves himself up from the bed, rolls quivering beneath body hair, turning slowly towards the kitchen. "Breakfast's in the locked cabinet?"
"Yup. Just toast the waffles and pop the pancakes in the microwave. There's plenty of butter and maple syrup. I'll cook the bacon and sausages later."
He turns back and bends down to kiss her. "Breakfast in bed?"
She smiles. "Yeah. You wore me out. Once I'm full again I want to cuddle and nap."
"Sounds perfect." He squeezes her thigh and she watches appreciatively as he turns again, his naked body quivering as he moves.
He's all man now. The beast is elsewhere, somewhere beyond the tides.
But she can't wait until the next full moon.

When Keith nonchalantly announces he’d found an apartment twenty minutes away and is moving out, Shiro’s heart drops to his feet. He’s so shocked that he nearly drops the spoon he’s using to feed Hana, barely managing to catch it and smearing mashed carrots on her cheeks instead.
Oops. Sorry, kiddo.
His first thought, of course, is oh, shit. Keith thinks he’s being replaced with the baby. He’s moving away because he feels unloved. I am a horrible brother slash father. What have I done.
Luckily, he manages to not say that embarrassing shit out loud, choking out instead a forced “sounds awesome, buddy!” and trying not to cry.
Yeah, that doesn’t go well. Keith is taking his time moving out, taking a few boxes at a time over several days so he doesn’t have to pay for a mover, enlisting Adam’s help to find some decent Craigslist furniture. Shiro has to lock himself in the bathroom no less than nineteen times to cry about it.
It was no big shocker that Adam gets real tired of that real quickly. Shiro was not the only one all mopey, apparently, as evidenced when Adam stomps down the stairs after putting Hana down for a nap, dragging Keith by the ear, and shoving both of them into the kitchen with a set jaw and his patented Glare of Judgement.
“Both of you are so, so stupid,” he says, which is not an uncommon occurrence but does make both of them protest at the exact same time. Adam holds up a hand, silencing them.
“Shut up. Listen to me. Both of you have been moping around my house —”
“Our house,” Shiro mutters petulantly, which does him approximately zero favours.
“— my house for days, crying to me about oh, Adam, he’s disappointed in me, he’s mad at me, what if I made a huge mistake, blah blah blah.” His arms migrate from crossed over his chest to resting sharply at his hips, and his glasses have slid down his nose.
Keith and Shiro share a fleeting, panicked glance. Adam looks ready to cook them both in a stew and feed them to the hungry, as he often says when he’s on his last nerve.
“I am tired of this miscommunication nonsense. I am going to cook you both into stew and feed you to the hungry if you don’t use your words like grownups,” he snaps.
Case in point.
“Am I understood?”
“Yes, Adam,” they both say hastily.
Adam huffs. “Good. I am going to go nap with Hana. When I wake up, I better see smiles and excitement, or else. Goodbye.”
With that he stalks off, not glancing back even for a second, completely confident that they would be staying exactly where they were and doing exactly what he asked.
That confidence is not misplaced. Shiro got very, very lucky, in that he married a man who could hype him up just as fast as he could whoop his ass into shape with one look.
It is, if Shiro is being entirely honest, a little bit hot.
“Ew,” Keith complains, even though Shiro is sure he hadn’t spoken aloud.
“You don’t need to say it out loud. I’ve been living with you for twenty fuckin’ years, man. You think I don’t know what it looks like when you’re being a simp?”
“Oh, shut up, you little snot,” Shiro says, snapping forward quick as a whip and securing his brother in a headlock.
“Twenty year old big shot, huh?” he teases. “Big man, now?”
Keith thrashes in his hold, raking his nails down Shiro’s arm, but the little dumbass has seemingly forgotten that Shiro has also spent twenty years with him, and knows damn well to accost Keith with his prosthetic limb only lest he want to lose his other arm to Keith’s freakishly sharp teeth.
“Let go of me, you goober!” Keith shouts.
Shiro hums. “No. Also, shut up. You’re going to wake the baby.”
Keith growls, and then before Shiro can prepare himself he’a airborne, flipped right over Keith’s head, narrowly missing the counter as he slams down on the hard kitchen tiles.
The air whooshes out of him with a groan. He suddenly very much feels every single one of his thirty-eight years.
“Take that, old man,” Keith taunts, grinning brightly. “I win.”
Shiro pushes himself into a sitting position with a wheeze, glaring playfully across the kitchen at his dumbass little brother, who mirrors him, leaning against the dishwasher.
“You got lucky, you brat. Try me again in the living room and I’ll knock you flat.”
Keith scoffs, but says nothing further, rolling his eyes playfully as he catches his breath. Shiro takes the time to carefully observe him, not giving a shit how weird that is. He’s been raising this kid for twenty years, dammit. And yet somehow it shocks him, every time he looks, to see stubble shadowing the edges of the kid’s jaw, the broad set of his shoulders and the confident slouch of his back, his calloused hands and easy way he holds himself. A proper man, now. Not the scrawny kid who stumbled into Shiro’s life angry and confused after the death of their father, barely four years old and already convinced the world was garbage. Sometimes Shiro wakes up to Hana’s crying at night and walks right to Keith’s room before stopping abruptly in the hallway, remembering that his kid isn’t so much of a kid anymore.
“You’re lookin’ at me weird,” Keith says.
“You’re weird-lookin’,” Shiro shoots back immediately. It startles a laugh out of Keith, wheezy and kind of ugly.
Shiro swallows the sudden lump in his throat.
“What’s going on, old man?” Keith tries again. His voice is much softer this time. “You’ve been avoiding me. I thought I goofed something; I’ve been nagging Adam about it. What’d I do?”
“I’m not mad at you,” Shiro rushes to assure. It does nothing to smooth the crease between Keith’s eyebrows.
“Sure feels like it.”
Shiro sighs, slumping forward a little. He takes the time to look carefully at Keith again, trying to commit his face further to his memory, separate it from that scared kid’s.
“You will always be my little kid,” he says finally. He smiles as Keith protests immediately. “I know you’re grown, believe me. You think you could’ve slammed me like that ten years ago?”
Keith huffs. “I could’ve gotten close.”
“Not on your life, boogerbrain. You were a shrimp up until two years ago.”
“Whatever,” Keith mutters, scowling.
“Hey.” Shiro nudges him with his foot. “Look at me.”
Keith does.
“I know that’s the last thing any grown kid wants to hear. You’re still my baby boy. I know you’re not, not really. But to me —” his breath hitches, and he can feel his eyes start to well up. “Kiddo, every time you ask me for something it’s the same voice that came panicked into my room after a nightmare. Every time you smile at me I remember the year you lost six teeth in a month and grinned as often as you could so everyone knew it. I know you’re a big boy, an adult. But you will never not be my kid, Keith. You may not be my son, but you’re my boy. You always will be. And I just worry that you don’t know —”
He’s interrupted by Keith’s face crumpling, and then as fast as he flipped Shiro earlier he’s rushing forward and collapsing in his arms, all two hundred some pounds of him gathered in Shiro’s lap like he’s ten instead of twenty.
“I love you, Dad,” he wails. He shoves his face in Shiro’s neck and grips hard onto his shirt; loud, heaving sobs wracking his frame. Shiro immediately starts to cry as well, gripping his kid’s back and squeezing tightly, rocking them back and forth. Keith rarely calls him Dad; he’s always been Shiro, except when he’s emotional and hurting and he needs Shiro to be a dad right then, as much as he needs him to be a big brother.
“I love you too, kiddo,” he chokes out. He presses a kiss to Keith’s messy hair. “So much. To the moon and back, okay? I just don’t want you to move out because you think I’m replacing you with Hana. She’s my kid, absolutely, but you are too, okay? You always will be.”
Keith sniffles. “I know. I never doubted.”
The words are like a balm to Shiro’s heart, soothing the ache and the worry that’s been plaguing him for weeks.
“Oh, thank God.”
Keith pulls away, wiping his tears and snot with his sleeve.
God, he’s so gross. Shiro loves him to pieces.
“Is that why you’ve been so weird?” he asks. “You think I’m moving out because of Hana? I love Hana. I would sell both your kidneys on the black market for that kid.”
“Really feeling the love,” Shiro says drily, but in truth the joke really does make Shiro feel the love. That’s excellent. That’s a million times better than what all the parenting books told him to expect.
Keith has no trouble hearing the glee peeking through Shiro’s sarcasm. It makes him smirk.
“Why are you moving out then, kiddo?” Shiro asks, flicking him on the forehead to send the smirk away. “You’ve still got two years left of school.”
“I know. But I’ve been saving for years, Shiro. I can afford it so long as I keep working on the weekends and work longer hours in the summer. Plus —” he goes curiously red. “I, uh, need my own space. My car isn’t going to cut it. You remember last time you and Adam went out on a date, and you came home early?”
Shiro feels a slow grin spread across his face. He knows exactly where this is going.
“I do.”
“Uh, I also took that opportunity to go on a…date, that had to be relocated to my car before you two came home, and I ended up braining myself on the roof halfway through. Kind of killed the mood.”
Shiro manages, quite graciously in his opinion, to keep silent for thirty whole seconds, before bursting into laughter so strong he goes silent, lungs shaking with the effort.
“You — your head —”
“Oh, fuck off,” Keith says hotly. “I’m never telling you anything again.”
“C’mere, you dork,” Shiro says, pulling a reluctant Keith under his arm and pressing another kiss to the side of his head. “Keep telling me things. Even when you move out. I want to hear about your life, even when it’s embarrassing.”
“Especially when it’s embarrassing, you mean.”
“Mhm. ‘Course. That’s the best part.”
———
It’s a learning curve, that’s for certain. A melancholy one, too, learning to adjust to an absence of someone you’ve been living with for two decades. Shiro is still surprised to do the laundry and not find balled up, nasty gym socks in the hamper that he has to make Keith un-crumple so they can wash properly.
He cries for twenty minutes one day, concerned that Keith is doing his laundry incorrectly. Adam laughs himself hoarse, videoing Shiro’s breakdown with shaky hands and sending it to Keith immediately.
Traitor.
But it’s not like Keith’s suddenly a stranger. He regularly comes over when he doesn’t feel like cooking, and as much as Adam grumbles, he misses Keith as much as Shiro does and makes him a giant meal every time. Keith also comes over purely to ignore Shiro and Adam to hang out with Hana, and he thinks he’s being all annoying and bothersome to spite them, but truly every time is a wonderful opportunity for Adam and Shiro to nap.
…Among other things.
But the highlight of Keith learning to live on his own, by far, are the occasional, how-do-you-adult texts he sends Shiro at random times.
from: brat child
takashi, my most beloved brother slash father big hero six style.
Shiro snorts, switching Hana to one arm so he can use the other to type.
to: brat child
Bringing up that movie will not make me more inclined to help you.
from: brat child
false actually every time i mention that movie you become twelve percent easier to manipulate
to: brat child
I am getting less and less inclined to humour you every minute.
from: brat child
yeesh okay
The typing dots go on for several minutes, appearing and disappearing as Keith puzzles out what he wants to say.
from: brat child
okay so usually i would call adam about this because he’s a better adult than u no offense. but i’m not really in the mood to talk for an hour so ur my next best bet
to: brat child
How did you just make your case worse? I’m honestly impressed.
from: brat child
ANYWAY.
from: brat child
how often do u clean the oven?? i don’t remember u doing it very often but obviously it has to be done frequently.
Hana makes a funny noise, clapping her hands together.
“You’re right,” he tells her sagely. “Your brother is strange.”
to: brat child
Keith, I almost never clean my oven.
from: brat child
seriously?? i’m cleaning this bitch every time i use it
to: brat child
…Why?
from: brat child
well i don’t want the bottom to just be all disgusting
from: brat child
wouldn’t all the blood and grease and shit rot?? or burn?? how is that not a food safety hazard??
Shiro furrows his brow. What in the shit is this kid talking about?
to: brat child
Are you talking about your oven or the baking sheet?
from: brat child
baking sheet??
Oh. Oh yes.
from: brat child
my oven has metal grills on the inside
from: brat child
it sears the food nicely but it’s such a pain in the ass to clean
Shiro laughs out loud, unable to control himself, and Hana quickly joins him, happy to share in the laughter.
“That’s right,” he coos. “Your brother is a dumbass! Luckily for you, you don’t have the same genes, hm? No, you’re a smart girl.”
to: brat child
Let me get this right. You’re putting the meat directly on the grills to cook, right?
Keith’s response comes immediately.
from: brat child
yeah to cook
Shiro snickers again to himself. What a dumbass.
to: brat child
Hold on, I’m tweeting this.
Shiro doesn’t fully get why his twitter account is so big. He certainly didn’t intend for it. He was just dicking around online one day, decided to make a funny post of something he saw Adam doing with Hana. He will never understand how he got so viral so quickly, but Keith hates it, which makes it inherently hilarious.
from: brat child
?
from: brat child
what about that was tweet worthy
Shiro has barely hit ‘post’ on the screenshot before the notifications come pouring in. He figured this one would get a good laugh.
to: brat child
Dumbass. You’re supposed to get a thin metal pan to cook the food on, so you can clean the pan and keep your oven clean.
from: brat child
WHAT
from: brat child
WHY DOES NO ONE TELL ME ANYTHING
Shiro shakes his head, snorting. God, he can’t wait for more of this. Being a parent is great.
“Isn’t it, Hana?”
She gurgles happily in response.
———
Shiro doesn’t hear a lot about Keith’s love life. He hears about his friends, sure — dear Lord does he ever worry about the kind of shit his dumbass kid and Matt’s dumbass sister get into — and lots of complaining about school.
But dating life?
Nope. Nada. Zilch.
(He suspects Adam gets this information, if only because he looks infuriatingly smug whenever Shiro sulks about it. Ugh, he is so lucky that Shiro is attracted to him even when he’s being a prick.)
(Arguably, possibly, a little more attracted.)
(Shiro does not have a thing for bossy, arrogant men who tell him what to do. He does not.)
One day, though, Shiro gets a text that changes everything.
from: oven boy
so i’ve found the love of my life, which is kind of cool.
Shiro calls that brat child immediately, obviously.
“Tell me everything,” Shiro demands, not bothering with pleasantries. That’s what caller I.D. is for.
“He’s so beautiful,” Keith sighs. “The prettiest brown eyes I’ve ever seen in my life, holy shit. And he’s so fucking smart. Apparently he’s a friend of a friend of Pidge’s. She didn’t set it up or anything, but she recognised him when we went to the bar last night —”
“Both of you are underage,” Shiro says, as if he and Matt did not have fake I.D.’s by age sixteen.
(To get a fishing license for a prank of theirs, but still.)
Keith ignores him. “—and we started talking and holy shit, Shiro. Never in my life have I wanted to participate in a conversation so badly. We talked for five fucking hours.”
Shiro whistles. That’s a long-ass time for anyone, but Keith especially.
“Damn. This boy must be something special, huh?”
Keith sighs dreamily again, which is quite possibly the best sound Shiro has ever heard. He can’t wait to tell Adam.
“He really is. I can’t wait until I finally figure out his number.”
Aaannnnd there we go. Shiro knew this sounded to normal to be true.
“…Pardon?”
“Oh, shit, yeah. Context.”
“That would be useful, yes.”
“It’s easier if I show you. Hang up, I’ll send you a picture.”
“Alright,” Shiro says hesitatingly. He has barley pressed the red ‘end call’ button before his phone buzzes with an incoming text.
from: oven boy
okay so i got most of it
to: oven boy
How the hell do you get ‘most’ of a number?
A picture pops up, of what’s very obviously a bar napkin, scrawled on with blue glitter pen. It reads: ‘Call me! 512 - 3*1 - 2*04. —Lance. P.S. — trust me, I’m worth it ;)”
Shiro is, frankly, at a loss for words.
to: oven boy
I can confidently say I’ve never seen anything like that before. What’s your plan?
Instead of an explanation, another picture buzzes in. This one is Keith’s familiar messy scrawl, and dozens of numbers written out on lined paper, each one with a different digit for the ones the mysterious Lance had omitted. Several of the numbers are crossed out.
His phone rings again, and he picks up hastily.
“Are you seriously trying every possible number you can?”
He can picture Keith’s shrug through the phone. “Like I said. He’s my soulmate.”
Shiro hums thoughtfully. “You sure he actually wants you to call him? Wouldn’t he just give you his number?”
“I’m sure,” Keith says confidently. Then he chuckles sheepishly. “The chase might be on me, though. We were talking about mysteries and stuff, and I said that I could solve every mystery before the end of the documentary, easy.”
Shiro snorts. “Arrogant boy. Spending a lot of time with Adam, hm?”
“I mean, I really can solve the mysteries. Usually.”
“Mhm. And how far are you through your numbers list?”
A pause.
“Halfway,” Keith says, lying.
“Right,” Shiro says, shaking his head fondly. “I’m tweeting about this, too.”
———
Shiro’s not a big believer in fate. That’s more of Keith’s thing, really.
But when he gets a specific DM, a couple days after his tweet goes viral, he starts to think that maybe Keith’s fuckin’ right.
For once.
The DM is from someone named LoverboyLance, which piques Shiro’s interest immediately.
from: LoverboyLance
howdy!!!! ur probably not gonna see this BUT i’m lance from the tweet!!!
from: LoverboyLance
the one about ur brother lol
It, honestly, takes Shiro a few minutes to respond. He’s genuinely gobsmacked.
to: LoverboyLance
HOLY SHIT!!!!
He calls Keith immediately.
“I have some news for you.”
“Feel free to get to it,” Keith says drily. “I’m kind of busy.
Shiro sniffs. “Well, if you’re busy I guess I won’t bother you, then. I’ll tell twitter user LoverboyLance that you’re not interested in the DM i just got from him. I see how it is.”
“No no no no no, wait!” Keith yells, panicked. “I’m sorry! Come back! Please tell me everything!”
Shiro considers letting him stew for a while, but he’s honestly too excited.
“There’s not much to tell, but I got a DM confirming that Lance knows you’re looking for him.”
“Please beg him to give me his number! I lied about being halfway done!” Keith pleads.
“On it,” Shiro promises. He hangs up and gets right back to twitter.
to: LoverboyLance
I just talked to him!!! He said a couple days ago that he was halfway done which means he’s barely put a dent in it, the dork. What’s your number?
The response comes almost immediately.
from: LoverboyLance
someone isn’t as clever as he thinks lol
Shiro laughs out loud. “No, he is not.”
from: LoverboyLance
give me his number. i’m taking over this operation
Happily, Shiro does. He doesn’t hear anymore from Lance, but twenty minutes later, he gets one text from Keith:
from: oven boy
shiro i love u
from: oven boy
ur the best
Shiro smiles softly to himself, shaking his head.
to: oven boy
I love you too, kiddo.
Perhaps fate really does have some bearing.

I want to see (you) - Sorina childhood friends AU
When she’s 5 years old, Erina Nakiri is served food by Jouichirou Saiba. Food has always been a part of her life in a way that no other person can imagine. Despite that, she has no real interest in it. Until she tastes his food. She’s wandered into a tasting for her grandfather and this tall, ponytailed hair man heard her stomach rumble and immediately made her the food that would change her life.
A month after that day, Erina had hounded her grandfather to bring that chef back. Try as she might, she can’t replicate the dish he made. Senz knows she just wants to eat his food again and gives in to his granddaughter. Instead of bringing Jo to her, Erina will go to him.
Erina is excited, expecting a grand mansion fit for a chef of his caliber but gets increasingly more confused when the limo her grandfather had gotten takes her to a hole in the wall diner in some town. Her grandfather assures her that she’s in the right place.
She enters the diner and is surprised with all the customers. She’s even more surprised when a boy her age asks for her order. She asks to see chef Saiba and the boy introduces himself as Soma and tells her there’s no one named Saiba here. The only chefs are his mom, dad, grandpa, and him.
Erina wasn’t expecting the boy to be a chef but she says she was told chef Jouichirou Saiba would be here and she’s come all the way here just for him.
“Well like I said, only my family are the chefs and the only Jouichirou here is my dad. But he’s a Yukihira, not Saiba.” Erina starts complaining on how she came to this nowhere town for the wrong Jouichirou and her and Souma get into an argument. Jo comes from the kitchen to see what all the ruckus is about and is surprised at what he sees.
“Little Erina? What are you doing here?” “Chef Saiba!” “Dad, you know this girl?” “Wh-why did you call him dad? That’s chef Saiba!” “No that’s my dad!”
Jo calms the two down and has to explain that his name used to be Saiba, but he took his wife’s name when he married. Soma is mad that he never told him and Erina is embarrassed because not only did she insult chef Saiba’s home, but she fought with his son!
Erina’s about to apologize when a new voice cuts in, asking what all the commotion’s about. Tamako Yukihira comes from the kitchen confused. Jo explains and Soma asks Erina why she came here. Erina says that she had Jo’s food before and it was the best she’s tasted, so she came to get more.
Tamako offers to cook for her but Jo quickly shuts that down, explaining to her that Erina has an extremely sensitive palate. He’ll tell her more later. Tamako wants to know now and while his parents bicker, Soma offers Erina a menu and tells her he’ll cook whatever she wants.
Jo thinks it’s a good idea and Tamako asks if he’s sure. “Yeah, she came all this way for our food. She’s a customer.” Soma says it so matter of factly that his parents can’t help but be proud. Erina is skeptical but if chef Saiba is ok with it… she selects furukake Gohan and soma steps right into the kitchen.
Erina tries to follow but soma teases her and says “employees only” “hmph, do you know who I am!?” “Yeah, you’re the girl who came outta nowhere and mixed up my dad.” Soma shoots back, making Erina embarrassed. Soma adds “You’re also a customer so I’m gonna cook for ya. Gimme a few minutes.”
As Soma is cooking, Erina sits by Jo and asks if it’s really alright for a boy so young to be cooking in a kitchen. Even she isn’t allowed near open flames without supervision. Jo explains that soma’s been cooking for almost a year now under his tutelage. He’s nowhere near good as Jo, but he might surprise you. Jo asks why Erina came here and how she found him. She answers that her grandfather did some digging and she really wanted to taste his food again.
Tamako comes in and starts teasing Erina about trying to steal her man and Erina blushes a rather spectacular shade of red, stuttering on how that was not her intent. Tamako ruffles her hair and assures her she’s kidding and soon soma comes out with a steaming hot bowl and sets Erina’s order in front of her “order up!”
Erina is hesitant but Jo reassures her. She takes a bite and is instantly overwhelmed due to underestimating Soma. She readjusts and takes another bite and she’s able to find flaws in his dish. Soma asks how it is and Erina says it’s better than she expected, far better than a 5-year-old has any right to cook. Soma starts teasing her for underestimating him and Erina harrumphs. Soma asks if it’s delicious and Erina just says is passable, not willing to give him the satisfaction.
Jo offers to make a dish and Erina readily agrees. Erina and Soma chat a little and jo brings his dish out, he made the same thing as soma to rub it in his sons face. Erina instantly is captivated and says it’s better than Soma’s. Before she can call it delicious, Soma interrupts and demands a second chance. He storms off into the kitchen and starts working on another one. Erina asks if that’s normal and Tamako laughs, saying that Soma’s been trying to beat his dad for months now. Erina is surprised that a 5-year-old has been going up again someone like chef Saiba but jo say’s soma’s the most stubborn kid he knows. Soma comes back with another dish for Erina and while it’s indeed better than his last one, Jo’s is still superior.
Erina and Soma start arguing again and a ringing starts coming from her. She takes out a phone and explains her grandfather gave it to her to keep in contact for the trip. She answers and then gives the phone to Jo. “Chef sai- I mean Yukihira. My grandfather would like to talk to you.” Jo takes the phone and Tamako keeps the kids company.
Jo and Senz talk about the situation. Senz reveals that Erina has a detail security team with her and Jo reveals that Soma is his kid. They continue talking and Jo loses sight of the three. He finds them in the kitchen with Erina watching Soma and Tamako cooking with Kazusato. Erina has no actual kitchen experience at this point so she’s fascinated by how these three are doing, especially Soma. She never thought there’d be an actual chef as young as her.
Jo smiles and tells Erina that her grandfather said it’s time to come back home, there’s a car waiting for her. Erina is a little sad but Soma tells her that she has to come back. He needs to cook for her again so she’ll say his food is delicious. “You’re not bad, I’ll give you that. But you have a long way to go before I say that.” “I don’t care. I'll try for as long as I have to to you say my food is delicious!” Jouichirou and Tamako share a look. A week later, the same black limo pulls up and a little girl asks a little boy for the special of the day.

Anon is right tho. I mean it's lovely how much carlos loves TK and how he's not afraid to show it but we need to see the same effort from tk too. Now, don't get me wrong I'm not trying to hate on TK or tarlos I know they love each other equally but unfortunately they're not showing that. Like I was really hoping for tk to call carlos his soulmate but I guess we can't have everything.
Sorry for the rant but this episode is kind of let down for me and I'm sad because I was so excited for this episode and now it's 5am and I can't sleep 😅
Firstly, I want to start by saying that it sucks to be disappointed by something you were looking forward to. Especially something like a television show that is usually a comfort and is very much controlled by real people.
Second, dear nonny, I would like to say as much as I enjoyed this episode my feelings are not without some critique. I have sucked my spouse into Lone Star with me and our major critique is one that has been a problem with this show for a long time.
Tim Minear and the writers room over-write for their episodes and then film all of they and sometimes in editing/post production they’re so intent on fitting everything in that things feel very surface or not fully fleshed out. I felt that way about all of tonight’s storylines. There was more to mine, but it all got left very shallow.
That being said, I do fundamentally disagree about TK not showing love back to Carlos in this episode.
First, I’m going to start with context. TK was just told by his father that he has a 1 in 4 chance of having a genetic neurodegenative disease that could take him (if they have the gene) anytime in the next 5-20 years.
And Huntington’s is no joke. It’s like taking Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and ALS and sticking them in a blender with steroids. It’s devastating and relentless and there’s a reason Robert is asking Owen to help him live out the end of his life instead of his wife and children. And TK is a medical professional who understands exactly what the progress might be.
And so he doesn’t lie and he doesn’t hide it, but he stays up until Carlos is off shift to have the conversation because TK loves Carlos too much to want to burden him with the reality of this disease.
But this is one of the first times all season that TK has been the one who needed comforting. So I’m not surprised that Carlos is the one that said the soulmates line. Because TK needs reassurance that this isn’t a line too far for Carlos.
TK has been doing that for Carlos all season.
TK looked Carlos straight in the face when Carlos explained the Iris situation and just said “alright, what do we have to do.” Many members of the fandom wanted him to be mad or petty or jealous or have feelings and while there were feelings, TK put Carlos first and helped to take care of the barriers in their way.
When Carlos was kidnapped and didn’t come home, TK was the one who tirelessly advocated that something was wrong. He figured out the pharmacy connection and then he literally saved Carlos’s life and had very romantic conversation as they loaded into the ambulance.
TK then, a man who has been having conversations about having kids since season one, faced with the fact that Carlos didn’t want kids gave up his dream and plans for fatherhood because Carlos is more important. Like…he cooked fucking dinner (how many phone calls with Tommy and Paul were there to get that together) and told Carlos it didn’t matter if Carlos was ever ready for kids because Carlos is all the family he needs. That’s a level of conflict that often leads to broken engagements and divorce.
This is all THIS season. Seasons two and three TK gave every romantic speech this couple had. Carlos is just getting here with words this season. And it’s beautiful growth for both of them.

devil night - angel and john b
Tumblr media
tw: mention of rape
three years ago
angel
andrew kept his eyes on the road the entire time he drove back home. he was mad because what he thought was his wasn’t acting according to plan.
i couldn’t care less. all I could think was john b’s hands on me. how his breath tickled my neck. the look he was giving me under the mask and thst it was directed towards me. how it all happened in under an hour and how alive I felt for that hour.
then andrew had to come and ruin it.
sighing i called my mom, walking around the living room of the routledge’s house. I checked in with my mom when he dropped me off and made sure she was okay. we talked and i did my homework in her bed before I found my way walking back over here.
since my dad died this is how i spent most of my childhood. going to their house for comfort and laughter and actual conversation where I didn’t have to initiate it. my mom tried her best but it wasn’t enough. she knew and that’s why she didn’t mind me going over as much as I did. didn’t even mind that I’ll spend the night even with two boys around my age in the house.
“hey honey.” she answered. her voice sounding a bit tired already. i hope she didn’t take anything.
“hey mom. I should be home after we eat dinner and we could watch the good fellas again. i know you like watching robert de niro.”
“don’t make it sound like it’s something nasty angel. he’s just an attractive older man.”
“he sounds just like dad. i see why you’re attracted to him.”
“yeah he is.” there was a pause and i know she was remembering my father. “I’ll be there in an hour okay mom? bring a plate of whatever ms bradshaw is cooking.” I said in a softer voice, hoping to pry her out her daydream.
“no go out tonight and have fun. be a teenager. im tired and won’t eat whatever you bring home. plus abby already told me that the boys are back. i’m sure that they’re gonna eat more then their fair share of food today.” she joked before a yawn escaped her.
she already took her pills. “you sure?” “yes.”
“if I get pregnant tonight it’s your fault. I hope you know.”
“i would spoil that grandchild endlessly. you know that.”
“i know. bye mommy.” “bye.”
music escaped from the other side of the house where the basketball court was. that was another reason why came here so often. why my need to come here grew despite andrew’s desperation.
the sound of the basketball bouncing down the hallways. it let me know that he was here most likely alone. i didn’t even need to see him. i just had to hear that damn basketball bouncing. it was usually the highlight of my day.
making my way into the dining room i saw that andrew was already there. napkin on his lap and wearing better clothes than a hoodie and a jeans which I was wearing. he was wearing the uniform of a perfect son. sighing I sat next to him, knowing that what was expected of me. waiting for the to come in so I could be away from him.
“hello you two.” mrs routledge greeted in her tennis skirt and polo shirt. she sat at the head of the table and like her son made sure she looked like the perfect uniform of what a wife should be.
it was exhausting being here sometimes.
i was glad for more then one reason when the music from the basketball court came off and the hallway was filled with excited chatter. at least they would provide some kind of something.
they filled the room the same time ms bradshaw brought in the food and we all started to fill our plates with food. they were all standing up though. most likely going somewhere private where they could plan their activities for tonight.
“your father had some things he needs to do in the city so it’s only us for tonight.” she explained and john b rolled his eyes before mouthing over at me. “or someone.”
it was clear that those two didn’t get along and that john b hates disloyalty and the fact that everybody knows about it but pretends not to.
but his mother is the only family member that I think he loves. he’ll never hurt her by bringing up that fact in front of her knowingly.
as soon as they went to leave mrs routledge cleared her thorat and they all turned to look at her. “it’s been awhile since we had dinner at the table together. i’ll appreciate if you boys sit down.”
a chorus of yes ma’am and chairs being pulled out soon followed and she smiled before finally eating. andrew’s knuckles turned white around his cup.
don’t know why he was so mad. it’s not like they were sitting next to me. john b sat next to him at the head of the table where his dad usually sits then jj, rafe, and pope was sitting on the opposite side of us.
“i trust that you boys are going to keep it lowkey this year. nothing too big right?” mrs routledge asked as everyone settled in and started eating.
“no choice but to. can’t have jb lose his talks on going pro because of us.” rafe explained, looking a little disappointed that he had too.
“do you miss being on the same team together? i know people on your team is good honey but it’s not the same playing together huh?”
“it’s lonely but we’re all just one call away when it gets too much.” pope admitted, grabbing more of the deviled eggs that ms bradshaw put out.
“actually i’m thinking of switching to cabeiri. they have a better sport medicine program and a better basketball team.” jj spoke up and mrs routledge nodded.
“and so you can of course continue on your bromance.” andrew grumbled.
“aww don’t feel so left out. you can come join.” pope teased and jj sat back and patted his lap. “yeah we don’t want you to be to lonely now.” they chuckled along with rafe. that just made andy grip his cup tighter.
“boys.” she said and they stopped and continued eating their food.
it was quiet until mrs routledge finished and excused herself. when we heard a door closed, andrew slammed his cup down and got up. “you better keep away from her!”
a blush ran up my body as i tugged on his arm. “can you not? please?” but he ignored me. his attention was stuck on his brother who was sitting back in his seat, chewing slowly. “who?”
the cup broke in andrew’s hand as he choked out the words. “you know who i’m talking about. leave angel alone in your games.”
he smirked sipping his water before he repeated. “who?” the boys laughed as they all got up and walked out.
i swallowed before i turned to andrew who was breathing so hard it almost sound like he was having a panic attack. “i’m not yours. i think of you just as a friend. nothing more and nothing less, okay?”
“you would fuck him if he looked at you twice like the whore you are.”
“fuck you.” glaring at him, i left the table. left to clean his mess. I hate this. one brother gave me too much attention while the other one look at me like i’m nothing to him expect when he wants to use me as a pawn in one of games.
it was exhausting.
i don’t even have the energy anymore to pretend that i care to go to a party anymore. just wanna cuddle up next to my mom and watch movies with her until she falls asleep.
I escape from the back, avoiding the four boys in the garage. i’ll see what they did tonight tomorrow when it gets posted.
walking down the road to my house, i realize how dark it is. the way home is only lit by the orange light from the lamps. the leaves on the trees is still falling slowly. the wind wasn’t as bad it should be as close to the water as we are.
the peaceful walk was ruined by red lights and the bass of the song they were playing. i walked to the edge of the road. they were most likely they were wishing to party. I didn’t want to be the reason they couldn’t go anymore.
instead of rushing by me, they slow down. the driver side opened and john b stepped out. “let’s go. you’re spending the night with us.” he demanded.
what?
“i said let’s go angel.” when I didn’t move fast enough, he grabbed my arm and led me to the passenger behind the driver. he opened the door and instead of waiting I hopped in.
⋇⋆✦⋆⋇🗡️⋇⋆✦⋆⋇🗡️⋇⋆✦⋆⋇🗡️⋇⋆✦⋆⋇🗡️⋇⋆✦⋆⋇🗡️⋇⋆✦⋆⋇🗡️⋇⋆✦⋆⋇🗡️⋇⋆✦⋆⋇
i felt eyes all on me.
okay thst was a lie. i was well aware that of the four bodies that was surrounding me. john b and jj in the front. pope next to me and the one that kept my hand on the door next to me was behind me. rafe. i could smell the cigarettes coming off of him.
we were near the edge of outer banks. it wasn’t on our side of town either. it was somewhere in the cut.
we stopped at a abandoned house and before they got out, pope handed everyone their masks. expect for me. i put up my hood and made sure that it’ll cover the majority of my hair and face.
when i was done, i got out the same time as john b did. he pulled me close and dug into my pockets. “what are you doing?”
he pulled out the box of matches I had on me. “should be asking why do you have these? planning on having some fun of your own?” he asked his head cocked to the side. I heard the smile in his voice though.
he didn’t disapprove.
“no. my dad used to buy these for me when he was alive. I like the smell of them.” like christmas. but I couldn’t tell him that part. i was trying to prove to him I wasn’t a kid. “became a habit to keep them on me I guess.” he didn’t say anything, just put them back in my pocket.
we waited for the rest to get out and we all walked in, pope carrying a bag.
it didn’t look that bad on the outside but the inside, it was horrible. the carpet and mattresses all had stains on it. most which looked like blood and pee. they were even some furniture that was broken. you couldn’t even tell what it was supposed to be anymore.
it smelt like something died in here. looking back at the blood stain on the mattress closest to me another though hit me. or someone.
why are they starting here? why bring me out of all people here?
“you know you shouldn’t be here angel.” rafe said coming from behind me.
“yeah something horrible happened here.” pope said coming from my right.
gulping, I turned so I can face the both of them. “like what?”
“beside from the obvious? a girl got raped here months ago. she couldn’t tell who assailants were because they all were black masks.” rafe continued. my eyes flicked over rafe’s mask. only thing you could make out was his blue eyes but they were so dark right now thst if you were far away they look black. blending in with the rest of his mask.
“a-assailants?” like multiple.
“there were so many and they kept coming thst she lost count on how many times she got fucked thst night.” that was jj coming from the other side of me.
“some got caught of course.” rafe shrugged.
“but there was some that wasn’t. still walking around waiting for their next victim to come to them willingly.” they all came closer as pope spoke.
“like four.” john b spoke from behind me and I turned to face him.
my chest felt tight. all I had was matches and just some converses on. that’s not much to defend myself with.
shouldn’t have gotten in that car. should’ve knew it was too fucking good to be true.
then they all started laughing and walking away from me. “joking. it’s just a drug den that got shut down and we’re making sure it’ll stay shut down. let’s light it up!” john b said as the others started splashing stuff around the first floor of the house.
gasoline.
they made sure every part of it was covered before entering the living room. they all struck a match and I grabbed my matches and lit one myself. the place stayed dark while I did so. they were watching me, all with their matches in hand expect pope who was recording this.
taking a look around, I thought about how many lives this place destroyed. how many people were hurt here. probably even killed here with how massive these blood stains were. maybe even kids were hurt here. it deserves to.
I threw the first one and watched it burst into four feet flames, going up a wall. they threw theirs and we watched as it got bigger.
“let’s fucking go!” pope shouted as he filled the living room get filled with flames. making sure to get every single detail.
“let’s go.” john b called and we all walked out. rafe carrying the bag pope carried in as pope continued filming.
he’s supposed to be the smart one. so why document this?
“make the call.” john b said to jj who took out what looked like a burner phone and walked away, dialing whoever.
looking around, nobody was outside but us. this neighborhood was completely abandoned or just didn’t have a lot of people here.
a strong hand pulled me to the car and held me against. I could smell the cigarettes on him. fucking rafe.
“why did he bring you along tonight? what did you guys do down there?” he questioned standing to his full height. “nothing happened. why don’t you ask him?”
“tell me the truth. you won’t like when I find out you lie to me.” he grumbled, coming closer to me and I push him back. “do you question all the people that he hangs out with?”
“only ones that’s not worth the trouble.”
“rafe leave her alone.” john b said and rafe backed off going to the trunk to put the bag away. pope and jj was coming to the car, both of the phones they had were in their pockets.
john b was at the passenger door and his mask was off. “come here angel.” I quickly went over to him as he got in the car. “you’re sitting on my lap. we got other people to pick up.” he said as jj got in the driver’s side.
when I hesitated, he rolled his eyes. “come on. or you’re going to be left here. and cops are coming so.” he hinted and I climbed in and made myself comfortable on his lap, trying to ignore the blush on my face right now.

DS9 3x08 Meridian thoughts (I'm re-watching, so there may be future spoilers)
Oh no it's this creep
"This is Odo. My lover." Soooo convincing, especially Odo's expression XD
"I've convinced starfleet that we must continue our expansion..." BUT WHY THOUGH? I love DS9 to pieces but this never makes any sense to me that exploring is more important than the saftey of the quadrant!
He's a creep and I hate him
"I never won anything before" Awww Kira, your delivery her is just too heartbreaking. She's completely nonplussed
Quark being at a loss when he plan fails to work
I still don't really get how Jadzia can fall for someone so quickly but he's obviously the kind of flirt she's into...
I love finding little things about characters, like Jadzia being afraid of heights
It's so cheesy and romantic, the scene by the lake
"I've got to get this to Commander Sisko and Chief O'Brien... And then we can count each other's spots." Oh boy
Kira is somehow in disbelief over Quark's rapidly escalating lies XD
"I realise you have a life on Deep Space Nine, but now you'll have a place here as well, for when you visit." That's actually pretty cute.
"The person I feel sorry for is Quark" HAH. No, you don't XD (I was so confused when i read this back in my notes, I was wondering why I'd said I feel sorry for Quark :P)
She's surprisingly competitive XD I guess that's actually not so surprising come to think of it...
"I'm going to clean you and Quark out." I thought later on Julian had never played it?
This is the skeeviest thing ever. Ugh ugh ugh ugh UGH
"I'd like to prepare a little surprise." I'm excited for what she'll cook up? I'm imagining she'll replace the holo with herself then slap him or some other such delicious revenge
"Because I discussed it with Julian." Oh to be a fly on that wall.
"I bet this is the first time anyone's ever requested a sixty year leave." Oh, Benjamin, his wide smile and joke and laugh are covering up such a big sadness. You can see it threatening to burst through. This acting tho
Sisko and Jadzia's emotional goodbye is everything <3
I still can't believe she's leaving all her friends behind like that, but I guess I can see the adventure aspect? Weirdly this feels more okay than the first time I watched, I guess because I was expecting it and it wasn't so out of the blue
Hah! Not what I was expecting, but that was sure... not what he was expecting
SHE'S NOT EVEN ABLE TO SAY GOODBYE TO KIRA. THIS IS MADNESS WHAT ARE YOU DOING JADZIA
Oh man, the way she's trying to hold it together as she sinks into the corner, even as she's left on her own. FEELS
The fact she thinks she'll have sixty years left 😭😭 I wonder if Dax goes to Meridian in 60 years time to let him know...
Yeah, this is still a weird episode.

Hi, yesterday was a frustrating day. I live at home with my parents and my younger sister. (#4)
My relationship with my parents is difficult, our personalities clash a lot and there not much trust between us. Growing up, home life was always difficult. No money, four kids, parents always working. Stress levels was HIGH.
My mum is the perfect manipulator and gaslighter. She would purposely make us feel bad and then play the victim when we would stick up for ourselves. Which then her behaviour would change and would become so passive aggressive. Leaving us walking on eggshells around her and never really trusting her because we never knew how she would react.
On the other hand, my dad was always at work. Working 2 jobs, day and night, means I never really got to see him so I having a bond with him was difficult. I can’t be mad at the situation because he was the reason we had food in our belly’s. When he was home, he was tired and if we did something that he didn’t like - he was explosive. An angry man. Just very aggressive and with his explosive behaviour, we couldn’t trust him because we were walking around on egg shells.
As we’ve gotten older, my dad is less aggressive but now really defensive and my mum is in charge of everything. If she doesn’t like something, he will kick off about it. But about 2 years ago, my dad cheated on my mum. It was during the 2nd lockdown when we all found out and having to live in the same space as them was traumatic. There was no escape from them.
That’s why it’s hard to trust them.
Nothings ever been worked out, we all just ignore it and try carrying on. Me and #4 do not get involved. It’s not our relationship, therefore don’t bring us into it. We had to become their therapist and quite frankly, we are done with it.
I’m never really home but when I am, I’m constantly cleaning up their mess around the house. I don’t mind, because it keeps me busy but some of their mess makes no sense so I get frustrated. I’m organising everything and just getting angry because what they think makes sense, doesn’t in fact make sense. So I’m questioning “why!?” - All the time.
Yesterday, I was organising the fridge. My dad is the one that cooks but he is a mess. He makes a mess. Nothing in the kitchen makes senses. So I reorganised the fridge this time because it was a mess. Everything was on top of everything. It was salmonella’s wet dream of cross contamination.
This is when I saw that we have some pak Choi about to go out of date and I was like “what a perfect time to make something fresh, healthy and from scratch.” I wasn’t at work and I looking cooking so I was excited.
I called my sister #1 about what to cook, that I can incorporate pak Choi and her and her partner suggested chok which is a rice porridge/soup dish. Super easy, super cheap and super exciting to make. She gave me a bit of ginger and I literally had everything else at home to make it with.
I steamed all my vegetables and made the chok and it was really nice. Not my favourite thing I’ve made but it was still really nice. Everything tastes better when you’ve made it though. And I cooked it for everyone to have for tea. Everyone is always going on how they want something new and healthy to try and I’ve literally just made it.
When my mum finished work, we saw sister #2 and her baby ( lil cutie ) and on the drive back my mum was like “ohh what should we have for tea?”
“I’ve already made tea for everyone” I said in the back of the car. “I made it all from scratch, you should at least try it. I got the recipe of #1 and her partner”
“Eww noo, I don’t want that, I want some proper food” she replied back.
I replied back with silence.
I was so angry and upset that no one wanted to eat what I made them. They drove to Tesco’s and picked up some pizza for themselves and that only upset me more. When we got home they cooked it immediately and left food on the side. My mum was like “ohh help yourself, there’s loads left over” which translated to me that what I cooked wasn’t real food. They didn’t even try it. I was just like “I’ve already eaten mum, I don’t need more food.”
To be so excited to cook something for everyone, to have it all thrown back in my face, I was so frustrated. To know that I tried and no one wanted to even taste it literally just broke my heart. I was angry because it was such a waste and it was so ungrateful of them.
My dad makes some atrocities in the kitchen and we still have to eat it. Force fed in all fairness because we get guilt tripped into it because “it’s wasteful” and it’s “ungrateful” because“ I just spent ages cooking that” so “you will eat it”. Hypocrites! That’s what angered me the most. The hypocrisy of them frustrated me to the point I couldn’t even look at them, there was no need for any of that, and then they waste their money on frozen pizza!?
What hurts most, is that I tried to do something nice for them. The gesture was never even taken into consideration either. Not even “Thanks for cooking for us, but we’re going to have something else”. No. Wasn’t even recognised. It really makes me question why I even try. I said to #4 that it was the last time I’m going to do anything for them but I know I was lying.
Our relationship is difficult, but I try and they don’t so what am I supposed to do?

"it's called 'shadow and bone'. it's a novel that's turning into a netflix series in like a month," you smiled at the super soldier, lifting up your book a little to show him the cover. his eyebrows raised at the information, lips tugging into a knowing smirk.
"yes, bucky, i'll watch the series with you." you rolled your eyes playfully at him. ever since he officially became an avenger and moved into the tower with the rest of you, you've been helping him 'get with the times' —as sam likes to call it— just as you did steve a few years prior.
steve had told his best friend that you were the best at stuff like this. after all, you were the youngest avenger. and you had a lot of free time on your hands; having no school since you were pretty much the only one besides vision who could compete with tony's or bruce's intelligence.
so really, school wasn't mandatory for you according to tony. at least, after you had asked him if you could just not attend and he cracked ten seconds after you pulled the puppy dog eyes.
you also had significantly less trainings than the rest of the team. this one wasn't because you were an expert on the field or something —well, you were, but so were the rest of the team but they still had almost daily trainings while you had half the amount they did— this was because you had cap wrapped around your tiny little finger.
and as for the team, they couldn't even be mad about it because if they were in the captain's position, they would probably be the same. everyone just loved you too much.
"do you mind if i turned on the tv?" bucky asked, afraid that you wouldn't want background noise while you were reading but obviously you didn't mind so you shook your head as you continued to read. not long after, you closed your book with a bookmark between the pages you stopped at before shoving in into bucky's hands and running up into your room to quickly grab your blanket.
he watched you run out of the common room in confusion before chuckling when he saw you run back in looking tiny with a huge, fluffy blanket in your arms. you went back to your spot on the couch next to him, spreading the blanket over both your laps, bucky smiling fondly as he watched you fix it before turning to him. "comfy?" you asked and he nodded, giving you back your book as you cuddled up to him. he smiled down at you and wrapped an arm around you while you leaned against his chest.
"what's this? movie night without me?" you two looked up at the owner of the voice and saw sam walking in, making his way to the kitchen, probably to make himself some coffee. "what movie are you guys watching?" he asked, leaning against a pillar to look at the tv, trying to figure out what movie was playing.
"actually, only bucky's watching the movie—it's mean girls, by the way—and i'm just reading my book." you told sam without looking at him, lifting your book up high to show him before lowering it back down to continue reading it.
"barnes, what are you doing watching a movie while y/n is reading? she won't be able to focus with all that background noise, shut it off." sam told him off, now back in the kitchen to make his coffee. you shook your head at the man's antics. "sam, it's fine. i told him it was okay,"
"of course you did, you're too sweet to say no to anyone." he quipped back, now standing nearby, watching the tv too, seemingly interested in the movie playing. you only rolled your eyes playfully at him before going back to the book. after a few minutes of him just standing, bucky spoke up. "just sit down if you want to watch the whole movie, birdbrain."
and sit he did. on your other side, snuggling comfortably under your blanket after putting his now empty mug on the coffee table. this caused bucky to huff as he pulled the other end of the blanket which led to them having a tug-of-war over the blanket, you unfortunately stuck in the middle of it. deciding that it was too distracting to read while squished between two grown men who were also fighting for the blanket, you finally closed your book.
"sam, can you help me put this on the coffee table?" you handed sam your book and he immediately took it, stretching his body forward to place it on the coffee table. with the book out of the way, you could finally settle comfortably and the blanket was now shared between the three of you equally. not long after, your head was back against bucky's chest with his arm around you while your legs were over sam's lap under the blanket, one of his arms resting over it above the blanket. if it had been someone else doing that to sam, they probably would've had their legs chopped off already.
"movie night and you didn't invite me?" you chuckled at the question by the newcomer, tony, finding it funny how sam said almost the exact same prior to him. "you're welcome to join us, tony." you offered kindly, to which he replied with a small chuckle.
"i'm just kidding, cupcake. i came up for a drink and a little snack but that's it, i have stuff to finish down in the lab." you nodded understandingly, turning back to the screen in front of you.
"hey, stark, while you're there can you grab me a bottled water from the fridge?" bucky asked him. "oh yeah can you grab me chips from the snacks cabinet too?" sam added.
"you guys have legs for a reason, get them yourselves, i'm not your maid," tony sassed and you bit back a chuckle. bucky and sam then decided to rock-paper-scissors the situation to decide who had to get up and get the water and chips. bucky ended up losing and he begrudgingly got up and came back quickly with his water and sam's chips.
shortly afterwards, tony approached the three of you on the couch, with a juice box and a small bag of pretzels; your go-to movie snack. "here you go, cupcake." he handed them to you and you accepted them happily, beaming at him while he ruffled your hair.
bucky and sam shared a look of disbelief at tony's actions. "what gives, man? we asked for stuff and you didn't want to do it but y/n gets her stuff without even having to ask for it?" sam complained.
"that's because y/n's my baby. now shut up and let her watch the movie in peace." he scolds before leaving the common room, leaving the two men to huff in annoyance. it soon washed off though when you laughed out loud at a scene and they returned back to normal, loving the sound of your contagious laughter.
when the movie ended, it was already late and you had fallen asleep on an also asleep bucky. sam took a look at you and chuckled. he slowly removed the blanket from over himself and you, gently scooping you up into his arms and taking you back into your room, laying you down on your bed. he noticed the lack of blanket on your bed and remembered the blanket you brought down to the common room. he opened your closet for a spare blanket, retrieving it before covering you with it, tucking you in. "night, kiddo." he whispered, kissing your forehead before leaving the room.
-
next morning came and you groggily stretched, noticing that you were in your room. last you remembered was falling asleep mid movie. you deduced that it was most likely either bucky or sam who carried you back to bed. you went to your closet to grab work out clothes since you had training today, before realising what day today was. wanda's breakfast day. you quickly ran to the bathroom and got ready.
once you were done, you dried your hair and left your room, practically bouncing with excitement when you thought of what wanda probably made for breakfast. the week had been a bad breakfast week since everyone who had so far been tasked breakfast duty, sucked at cooking. the only good cook of the team was wanda, explaining your overexcitement.
before you could get far though, you slammed into a solid body, being caught by your wrists before you could fall. "be careful, lady y/n!" a deep voice spoke and you look up, a large smile on your face before you jumped happily, taking the man into a big hug. "thor! you're back!"
he laughed, returning the hug, you almost disappearing due to his big frame before you let go of each other. "where were you headed to so eagerly?"
"it's wanda's breakfast day, thor! i haven't had a decent breakfast all week because no one in this tower except wanda can cook to save their lives. come on, big guy!" you cheered, trying to get onto his back for him to give you a piggy back to the kitchen but he was too high for you to reach. he watched your attempt in amusement before bending down so you could get on his back. you gratefully got on, lightly patting his back and dramatically pointing ahead of you. "to the kitchen we go!"
when you two arrived in the kitchen, clint and wanda were talking as the latter made breakfast. thor's booming laughter echoed through the room as he zoomed with you on his back, laughing your heart out. "we have arrived to our destination, my lady." clint and wanda turned to you, adoring smiles on their faces when they heard you giggling uncontrollably.
"i thought you had more important things to do that you couldn't even walk 10 feet to grab me a spoon." clint raised his eyebrows at the demigod. "yes but y/n needed a ride so i provided her one." thor gave your hair a ruffle before he left the room, going to do what he initially left the kitchen for before you managed to get him to bring you back there.
"morning, kiddo." clint ruffled your hair right after you just fixed it, causing you to glare at him before fixing it again. "morning," you grumbled, sitting down next to him.
"morning, y/n!" wanda greeted, placing your plate of perfectly made blueberry pancakes with extra blueberries neatly placed on top, butter in the middle of it with maple syrup dripping down. your mouth watered. had it really been that long since you had a good breakfast or was it just because it was wanda's creation? or was it both? "here ya go, bubs. your favourite," she grinned at you, placing your glass of orange juice beside the plate.
"thanks, wands! i love you!" you thanked her, already beginning to dig into your breakfast.
"what the heck? you gave me burnt pancakes and didn't let me have extra blueberries because you said there already were some in the pancakes," clint whined to wanda from beside you, watching you eat happily.
"that's because the extra blueberries were for y/n, she loves them. and about the burnt pancakes...yea i just didn't want to give her burnt ones. look how happy she looks," the two turned to you, looking at your cheeks being filled up, making you look like an adorable squirrel.
"okay, fair point." clint slumped down on his chair, continuing to look at you fondly, like a proud father.
-
after breakfast, you made your way down to the training room where steve, nat and peter were training. when you entered, peter immediately noticed, waving and you from the treadmill with a huge smile on his face. nat, having just flipped steve over her her shoulders, smiled at you. "hey, bub." you smiled back at her and steve who struggled to give you a wave but did it anyways from his position.
"alright, y/n, you can warm up and run 2 miles first before we start." steve says once he had gotten up from his position on the ground. you mocked a salute before walking to the treadmills.
"what?! how is that fair? i'm running 5 miles!" peter exclaimed from beside you just as you started your run. "you're enhanced, peter. if anything, it's unfair for y/n/n. actually, that's right, it is unfair for her. y/n/n, you can go ahead and just do a mile."
peter's jaw dropped at this, his mouth opening and closing like fish out of water. "b–but.."
"get back to work, peter. once you're done, we'll start both your and y/n's training." the boy only huffed in annoyance, focusing back on his run while you smirked, internally cheering in victory.
-
"boy, that was tiring!" you dramatically plopped back onto the mat, limbs spread out as you tried to catch your breath. it had been a gruesome 3 hours of training and you were beat.
"y/n/n, get up. sam, bucky and clint's gotta train soon," nat tells you after steve and peter left and you were still sprawled out on the ground. "but i'm tired!" you whined childishly.
"y/n, if you don't get up, i'm gonna leave you here to be trampled on by the boys when they train." nat nagged, hands on her hips as she made a disapproving face at you.
"no you're not. you're gonna carry me to my room so i can shower and sleep soon." you tell her, eyes already closed as the fatigue washed over you. after a few seconds of silence, you heard her sigh out loud before you felt her crouching down beside you.
"get on my back in five seconds or i'll leave you." she threatened. you quickly opened your eyes, grabbing your small towel and water bottle before getting on nat's back. she mumbled something about you being lucky that she loves you or else she really was going to let sam, bucky and clint trample on you.
"what's wrong with her?" you could hear steve's concerned voice asking nat when you two reached—you assumed— the lobby. you were too tired to keep your eyes open so you left them closed while your arms were around nat's neck.
"nothing," you heard nat reply as she walked you both into the elevator. "kid's just too lazy to get up and walk on her own so she made me carry her." you internally rolled your eyes. she made it seem like she was forced to do it when everyone clearly knew she would do anything when it came to you.
you heard steve chuckle before nat started walking again, probably towards your room. you heard the door open and nat finally let you down, prompting you to open your eyes.
"do you want some food after you shower?" she questioned as you looked through your closet for comfy clothes to change to before ultimately deciding on cow print pyjama pants and an oversized tee you stole from steve.
"i'm good, nat, thanks. i just wanna take a nap." as if on cue, you yawned right after. "okay, bub. you'll have to get up later for dinner and movie night though, okay?" she reminded and left the room after you replied an 'okay' back.
-
when you were woken up a few hours later, it was by an annoying scream and a body bouncing on your bed. "y/n/n, wake up! it's dinner! mr stark ordered your favourite!"
you groaned, putting your pillow over your head to block out peter's annoying voice. "come on, y/n/n wake up! you haven't eaten since breakfast and it's movie night tonight!"
"okay, okay, i'm up. you can shut up now, pete." you grumbled crankily. it was quiet for a few seconds before peter yelled out once again. "wake u–"
he never got to finish though because you kicked him off the bed. "i said i'm up, dude." you then sat up, stretching before getting up to wash up, ignoring peter who was on the floor rubbing the side of his head which hit your lamp when he fell off your bed. he then got up, deciding to tidy your bed up a bit while he waited for you to finish washing up so that you two could go down together.
-
"is that my shirt?" was the first thing you heard when you walked in with peter. the team were all sitting, eating your food from your favourite place. "i uh, maybe?" you answered sheepishly, sitting down next to sam and peter settling down on your other side. "i've been looking for that shirt since forever."
"aw, let her have it, steve! she looks better in it than you do, she looks so adorable!" wanda screeched, absolutely adoring how tiny you looked in cap's enormous shirt. she continued to gush over you, even taking out her phone at one point to snap a picture of you. you chuckled at her antics, proceeding to eat your dinner while the team talked.
after dinner, everyone slowly made their way to the common room for team movie night. you guys collectively agreed to watch 'white chicks' after steve revealed that he hadn't watched it.
you sat down next to bruce, who gave you a tired smile when you smiled at him. he must've been working in the lab all day, you thought. halfway through the movie though, a bathroom break was called by tony. a few took the chance to get up and get snacks while you told bruce you were gonna sit closer to the tv since you couldn't hear properly with sam and bucky squabbling over every little thing they could. you could even hear them arguing in the kitchen at the moment over hot chocolate.
when tony came back, you told the two bickering children in the kitchen that you were starting the movie again. not long after you started, you could hear them still bickering, except now they were closer, probably back in their seats. poor bruce, you thought. you escaped the two but he was still stuck next to them.
meanwhile in the back, sam and bucky were still busy fighting over the hot chocolate. you paid them no mind as you focused on the movie, having not watched it in a hot minute.
"dude, i made this for myself! go make your own hot chocolate!" bucky whisper-yelled, moving his mug away from sam's reach when the latter tried to reach for it. "you took my snack now i'm gonna take your drink so it's fair!" sam countered.
before the two of them could stop it, the steaming hot chocolate spilt. not on the carpet, but onto the doctor whose patience had already been running thin with the two quarrelling next to him for the past hour.
his face slowly turned green, clearly a sign that he was fighting so that the other guy didn't come out. the team stared in horror, preparing for a fight to break out with the big green monster.
you, being the closest to the tv, didn't notice this all happening as you happily watched the movie that you couldn't hear properly for the past hour.
you laughed joyously when your favourite scene came on, trying to control your giggles that were starting to get louder and louder. bruce was currently hunched down, trying to even his breathing. but when he heard your laughter, he immediately looked up at you.
the team panicked, thinking that you could be a target for hulk since you just attracted attention to yourself. they were about to get up to protect you as they looked at bruce apprehensively, when the doctor smiled, the green on his neck slowly, but surely disappearing.
the team looked at each other in confusion and bruce smiled weakly at them. "sorry about that. i'm...i'm gonna move up and sit with y/n." he got up and made his way to you. you smiled when you saw him. "got tired of them too?" you joked and he nodded, making himself comfortable next to you.
you nodded and turned your attention back to the tv. it was clear you were oblivious to whatever just happened and the team couldn't help but chuckle at the situation. you really just unknowingly calmed down the hulk.
the team didn't know if you were aware of how much power you actually held over them. nevertheless, you were their little baby and they were willing to do anything for you.

A Delicious Feast
Tumblr media
(Chapter 1)
Rengoku rescues you from an unexpected attack. You repay him by making delicious meals that he gladly devours.
Later on, the man starts craving something else rather than your food.
Prologue Chapter 3 Chapter 4
A week and a half had passed, and your wounds finally healed. Therefore, you can head back to your family's restaurant. Your mother had taken your position at work due to your absence. Which made you feel a little guilty.
She was an elderly woman with barely any strength left. You always had to help her walk around the village, these past few days Sukoshi has been taking care of her, but his grandma would always decline his help since he was her dearest grandson.
The scars permanently tattooed your body. You let out a sigh as you tied the yellow obi around your waist. After years this simple task stopped being difficult. Your sister made you a favor and bought you a new one due to the last one getting all screwed up. The kimono was a beautiful blue. Pretty almond blossoms decorated the bottom.
You kissed your mom's forehead as a farewell and left with Sukoshi.
Ever since Rengoku killed the demon there's been no more missing children. Your mind was finally at ease.
Word was going around the missing children were eaten by that woman, for you prayed for them. You were glad your nephew wasn't one of them.
Getting the restaurant ready, you felt a tug on your kimono. "Oba! It's the guy that rescued us!" Sukoshi pointed at a man across the street. His back was facing you, but his hair is what made him stand out in the village. Your nephew jumped with joy. "I'll bring him!" He ran after the demon slayer. You tried to stop him through his tiny feet were too fast.
Okay, maybe he can win a race against you.
You saw the scenery unfold.
Sukoshi pointed at you with a cute grin as Rengoku looked down at him. The older man turned his face towards you, and there you met his gorgeous and unforgettable irises.
Oh no, he's walking over here.
You bowed down to him. "Thank you so much for saving my nephew and I." Your voice came out as sweet as candy due to the shyness that covered you.
The male bowed back. "I'm glad I could help. I see you're doing better than the last time we met." He chuckled.
Without a warning, he gently grabbed your hand and tenderly brushed his thumb over the scars in your hand. You glance at him with curiosity about his action.
Sukoshi eyes landed on Rengoku, then at you, then at Rengoku, then at you, then at Rengoku.
"Oba makes the best food!" He randomly shouted.
The older male quirked an eyebrow at the smaller one. "Is that so?" He grinned at the boy. "Yeah! Everyone here loooves her cooking! That's why our restaurant is famous!" He waved his arms in the air to make his wording more dramatic.
You shook your head rapidly. "N-No! He's just exaggerating!" You argued, not even questioning why he brought the subject up. Sukoshi stared up at you. "No, I'm not! Her food is amazing!" He argued back. Rengoku watched the quarrel release. This went on for a few minutes.
"Why are you mad?! I'm complimenting you!"
"I don't know! You know I never take compliments well!"
"Why are you like this?!"
"I don't know!"
People weren't lying when they said toddlers call you out for no reason.
Rengoku laughed loudly at the family's debate, making them quiet down. He crossed his arms proudly. "I will be the judge of that!!" Sukoshi joyfully jumped and grabbed your hand, dragging you behind the counter. Your "restaurant" is just an outdoor bar. You and the boy washed your hands.
Rengoku sat down on one of the five stools.
"What will you like?" You asked.
The male placed his cheek on his palm. "Hmm, yaki udon will do!" His eyes lit up in excitement.
"You'll be paying for it, right?" Sukoshi popped in the short conversation. You turn around and send daggers at him. "Of course, my boy!" He chuckled at the little L/N. "You don't have to! Think of this as a thank you for saving us." You protested.
"But money-" You bumped your hip onto him purposely to shush him up.
"Your food will be right up." You smiled at the male in front of you.
You dragged the little boy to the counter. His tiny stool was already waiting there along with the dough of the noodles. He climbed his feet on top of the stool to reach the counter. He flattened the dough and cut it into thick strips.
You were on the other side, rinsing the vegetables and chopping them along with the raw meat.
Rengoku watched as the relatives made his food.
His multicolored eyes followed you as you walked around doing multiple tasks.
The young L/N took note of this.
The food was finally ready. The delicious scent danced its way to the man's nostrils. Seducing him to take a bite already.
"Thank you for the food!" He clasped his hands together then picked up the wooden chopsticks beside his plate.
Once the cooked meat was placed on his tongue, his taste buds met God. The flavor became heaven and he swore he could hear the angelic choir singing in the background.
"DELICIOUS!"
For every bite he would mumble "delicious." He didn't even leave a crumb for the dogs that wander the streets of the village.
"Another plate!" He yelled as he slammed the pair of chopsticks in a horizontal direction.
Both yours and your nephew's mouth hung open.
Rengoku ate a total of twelve plates.
You wiped the sweat that's been forming on your forehead with a clean rag. You smiled at the man that kept devouring the meat you gracefully seasoned and the fresh vegetables you rinsed.
"RENGOKU KYOJURO! MISSION ON THE NORTHEAST! VILLAGE MASHUMARO!"
A random loud and shrieking voice shouted.
Rengoku gave the two L/N a big smile. "Thank you for feeding me! I'll make sure to come back for more!" He put the plate on top of the nice stack he had done out of the plates he devoured.
Sukoshi hurried and walked out of the bar. "What mission?! Fighting more monsters?" He jumped up and down from excitement. Rengoku pat the little boy's head. "Yes! Once I come to visit I'll tell you all about it!" He matched the small male's energy.
Seeing Sukoshi happy with a potential father figure made you crack out a big and warm smile.
You go up to the two males. You bow down to Rengoku once again. "Please be careful on your mission." He bowed back. "You're very kind, L/N. I'll show up in one piece, do not worry too much." He gave you a big and shiny grin.
The demon slayer left the relatives with a final goodbye.
Once Rengoku was out of sight the two L/N cleaned up the small mess.
Sukoshi grabbed two plates while you grabbed the rest of them. You noticed there was paper underneath the last tray.
It was yen. The total of twelve plates.
Your jaw dropped. You settled the dishes on the sink, where Sukoshi was washing them.
Guilt washed over you. Why would he pay? Any normal person would just take the free food.
Your nephew tried to look at what you were holding in your palm. "Oba! He actually paid!" The boy shouted in excitement.
You rolled your eyes. "I swear you get that money hungriness from your mother." The boy giggled in response. You sighed and smiled at him.

Your parents owned a local bakery store
All the recipes were from your late grandmother
You spent almost all of your time there because you were in charge of everything
The store was under your parents’ name but you were the one running it
Sometimes, you even slept there because it’d be too late to walk home
Your dedication to the bakery made it successful
Although, you were the one doing all the work, you parents took all the credit and money
They weren’t paying you because you’re their child
They don’t need to pay you
“It’s a women’s place.” Your father said
You wanted to go back to school however, your parents laughed in your face
“School aren’t for girls, Y/N. Learn how to cook and clean. That’s all you need to know. Let the men handle everything else.”
You were tired of fighting with them and eventually stopped because they threatened to set you up in an arrange marriage
Now, it was just you and the bakery
You had many loyal customers and recently, one has been coming everyday, at the same time
He’d always buy a loaf of banana bread and if he was in a good mood, a blueberry muffin as well
Then, he’d sit in the corner table and eat two - three slices before getting up and leaving
He’d always leave a tip behind and you always kept it for yourself
One day, he didn’t come and you were surprised
For a year straight, he came and bought the same two things
Now, he hasn’t visited in 4 days
Tonight, you came back home for the first time in a while
Your parents had visited the bakery to collect “their” earnings and told you that you have to go somewhere with them that evening
After closing up and cleaning up, you went home and got ready
Your parents were taking you out for dinner as a treat for all your hard work
You were really excited because they were finally acknowledging your hard work
Once you arrived at the restaurant, your parents lead you to a table that already had three people seated
You immediately recognize one of them
It’s that guy who buys your banana loaf!
You sat in front of him while your parents greeted the two other strangers
“Oh, so this is your daughter? She’s gorgeous! Come here and give me a hug.”
You awkwardly chuckled and got up to hug the middle aged women
“Oh! Where are my manners? My name is Jeon F/N, this is my husband, Jeon F/N and this is our son, Jeon Jungkook. We’re your soon to be in laws!”
You heart dropped to the floor
“I-in laws?” You asked, confused
“Yeah, honey. Is this your first time hearing about this? We’ve been talking to your parents for a while now.”
You snapped your head towards you parents and they looked emotionless
“No, no they didn’t tell me anything.”
Dinner with them was hell
Your parents were talking about your wedding arrangements right in front of you
You didn’t know what to do
You wanted to rebel but then your parents would disown you
Just like that, you’d be homeless with little money to survive
In the end, you’d be paying the heavy price
You looked at Jungkook who was staring at you the whole time
You wondered if he knew about this
Maybe, that’s why he came to the bakery everyday
“Did you know anything about this?” You said loud enough for him to hear
“I did.”
“For how long?”
“Since last year.”
You eyes widen, in shock
You were right!
“Why didn’t you stop it?”
“Why would I stop it when I’m the one who wants it?”
You scrunch your eyebrows, in confusion
“What’re you talking about?”
“Since the first day I met you, I wanted to marry you. I told my parents and now, we’re getting married.”
Now, you were mad
You got up and stormed off, catching everyone’s attention
You walked to the bakery and locked yourself in
Here, you thought your parents were acknowledging you for first time, when they were actually setting you up for a marriage so they don’t have to take care of you
You cried yourself to sleep that night
The next couple of weeks, the bakery was closed due to your wedding
The wedding was spectacular
You would’ve love it if you weren’t being forced into a marriage
After the wedding, Jungkook took your precious virginity
He made sure to pleasure you until you passed out
He was so in love with you
Now, he was finally able to show you how much he loved you
And mark you as his
The next couple of months, he was attached to you
He took over his family’s business and you took over your family’s business
He’d visit you every day at work to check if you’re with another man
He was so paranoid about it, sometimes he’d come by 3 or 4 times to make sure you were not cheating
You thought he missed you and that’s why he kept stopping by (which is half true) however, you had no idea that he was possessive and controlling
You had to learn the hard way
Sometimes, you wouldn’t leave work until midnight
You had so much things to do like preparing for the next day, making a to-do list, making a grocery lists, and cleaning every area of the shop
It’s time consuming, so obviously you finish up pretty late
Jungkook absolutely hates that
Although you stay late in the shop once in a while, he can’t stand it
He wants you to be in his arms every night
Jungkook gets angry when you’re not
This was your fourth time staying out late in the shop and he’s had enough
He couldn’t help but feel paranoid about what you were actually doing in the shop
What if you lied and went on a date with another man?
What if you were running away from him?
Or even worse, what if you were having sex with another guy?
He raced to the bakery and banged on the door, which scared you
You saw that it was him and let him in
“W-what’s wrong?! You scared me!”
“Grab your stuff, we’re going home.”
“But I’m not done yet! I only have a couple more things to do and then I’ll come home. I told you already-”
“I don’t think you fucking heard me!” He yelled and grabbed your hair
“Grab your shit, we are leaving right now.”
He pushed you towards the counter and crossed his arms
You let your breath out in shock but scurry to get your stuff
You’ve never seen him like this and it terrified you
“I have my stuff.”
“Good, let’s go.”
He helped you lock the door and wrapped his arm around your waist
The walk home was silent
You were scared shitless
All you wanted to do was run back into your parents’ house
But he didn’t let you move an inch away from him
Once you got home, he started pushing you around and arguing some more
“Jungkook, I told you this afternoon when you came to visit! I said I have to stay late so I don’t have to stress myself out in the morning!”
“Don’t fucking lie to me! Who were you fucking seeing?!” He screamed, frightening you more
“No one! I swear, no one!” You whimpered
He corned you into your shared room and locked the door
“Jungkook, I swear! Nothing happened!”
He didn’t believe a single word coming out of your mouth
It was like you were talking to a wall
He pushed you onto the bed and stripped you naked
Jungkook pushed two fingers into your cunt and pretended to scoop out cum
“If nothing happened, why is your cunt full of cum?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about! I didn’t have sex with anyone!”
You weren’t very educated about sex, so Jungkook had an advantage
You began apologizing even though you didn’t have sex with anyone
You just wanted peace between you two
“I’m sorry! I didn’t cheat or anything, but I’m sorry if it hurt you! I really am!”
Jungkook slapped you and spat on your face
“Dirty slut. Telling me that you’re not cheating but still apologizing.”
“No! Please, I didn’t do anything!”
Jungkook pulled his cock out and shoved it in without warning
You were still new to sex so when he didn’t let you adjust, you automatically started screaming and crying
“Please, slower!” You cried, holding onto his biceps as he went faster and deeper
“Stop! Please!”
Jungkook loved the sound of his balls clapping against your ass
It honestly made him harder
All night, he was on top, fucking you hard
Your legs were spread apart, tears in your eyes and sweat dripping down your forehead
You looked like a hot mess
And he loved every second of it
“Mmh- Jungkook!”
You squirted around him and had a trembling orgasm
You couldn’t stop releasing your liquids on him and he couldn’t stop pounding you
The bed sheet was soaked by the end of it
He pushed his cock deep inside and came
After Jungkook fell asleep, you cried for while
How were you supposed to tolerate him for the rest of your life?
The next morning
You woke up in severe pain
You lower region was begging for some pain relief
But there was nothing you could do about it
Jungkook was still sleeping next to you
You decided to leave before he wakes up
After getting ready by leaning on everything, you slowly walked to town
When you arrived at the bakery, you saw a big “for sale” sign
You panicked and went inside the store, only to be greeted by your parents
“Mother, father! Why is there a “for sale” sign on the bakery?”
You parents looked at each other in disappointment
“You see, we have to explain the obvious to your daughter. Be grateful that someone willingly married your idiot daughter.” Your father said before walking out
His words did hurt but you cared about the bakery more than your father
“Why’re you selling it, mother? Can you not afford it anymore? Why-”
“Shut up, Y/N! You’re married now, you have wifely duties. You don’t have time for this bakery so the best option is to sell it.”
Your world fell apart right before your eyes
“But mother-”
“Save it. You already made your father upset. I’m warning you now, you don’t want to get on my bad side.”
You cried the whole morning
After you opened the bakery, lots of people gathered in line
All breads, cakes and muffins were going on sale
After you served the people in line, you went up to the tables and took their order
After you served them, a regular customer who was sitting alone gestured you to come over
You went over to the man and asked him if he needed anything
He told you to take a seat and accompany him
Since the crowd died down, you sat down in front of him
“You look a bit stressed and sad. What’s on your mind?”
You were touched by his words
Finally, someone cared about you
You told him you were upset about the bakery closing
He understood and even offered money to help you keep it open
You were flattered but didn’t accept the money
“Money’s not a problem, my parents just don’t want to keep this shop open.”
You talked with this guy for a couple of hours
Although this was your first time talking to him, you talked to him like he was your best friend
When closing time came around, he got up and asked you out on a date
You didn’t know what to do
You were married but you really liked this guy
You were considering saying yes when someone pulled his shoulder back and punched him across the face
“Jungkook! What the hell is wrong with you?!”
“You think I didn’t see that?! I saw it all. I saw you flirting with my wife for three hours straight and then asking her out on a date!”
Jungkook beat the crap out of the guy and pushed him outside
He then came back in the store, looking at you with devil eyes
“Yesterday’s punishment clearly wasn’t enough.”
The entire way home, he was yelling at you, slapping you, spitting on you, pulling your hair, pushing you to the ground and choking you
You were crying the whole time, apologizing over and over
When you arrived home, he seriously had no mercy on you
No foreplay, no lube, no adjusting
Just a raw, thick cock being forced into you
You were begging him to let you go but tonight, nothing was going to stop him
He was moving his hips insanely fast, not giving you enough time to breathe
You were choking on your own sobs
“Jungkook, please no! I’m sorry!”
“Why did you hesitate to deny his offer? You are a married fucking women!” With each word a hard thrust followed, knocking all the air out of you
“Answer me! Is he better than me? Does he take care of you? Does he provide money for you? TELL ME!” He was yelling so loudly, it was making you cry harder
“N-no, he doesn’t. He was just the first person to care about me.” You whispered the last sentence but, Jungkook was able to make it out
“Are you saying that I don’t care about you?”
He got more aggressive and fastened his pace
“Tell me, Y/N! Do you think that I don’t care about you?!”
You couldn’t answer him because you couldn’t catch your breath
He was going too fast and you were crying so hard, you couldn’t breathe
Jungkook noticed how much you were struggling and added onto your struggle by holding your neck down
“Apologize, right now Jeon Y/N!”
You softly apologize but it wasn’t good enough for him
He lifted your legs a little, giving him better access and fucked you till you squirted
This time you sobbed your apology and begged for forgiveness
“I’m so sorry, Jungkook! It’ll never— ah! It’ll never happen again! I’m so sorry! Please for- forgive me for my dumb m-mistake. Please! I’m begging you.” You held onto the bed sheet, praying he would stop
He huskily growled and pushed his cock in deep
“For the next 9 months you’ll be swelling with my baby. Now, everyone can back off.”
He shot his hot cum right into you, filling you up to the rim
Sorry for any mistakes. It’s 3:41am 😄

(Y/n) and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Week: Thursday (Part 2)
Monday     Tuesday     Wednesday     Thursday (Part 1)     Friday     Saturday     Sunday
Spotify Playlist (collaborative)
Warnings: panic attacks, swearing, puking, concussions, mentions of injuries/bullying, homophobia
Word count: 5,138
After school, you were sitting on the couch as you furiously typed on your keyboard at an extremely fast pace. You were on a roll with these essays, they were probably going to be finished by the time you had to go back to the school to get on the bus with the team. You figured that you could even finish Annie’s essay and get started on Sammy’s US history presentation on the sociopolitical climate of the United States in the mid twentieth century to today. However, instead of covering a variety of topics like the rubric requested you to do, you were only going to talk about the significant events that happened to the LGBT+ community starting with Stonewall and going to Obergefell v. Hodges. You were also going to go in depth about how even if there are more opportunities available and more laws set in place to protect for LGBT+ people in the present then there were in past, members of the LGBT+ community still suffer heavy discrimination in the workplace and in the public. With receipts of course, the assignment required a minimum of three pictures per slide, and the group chat was a perfect source.
After that was done, you would email Sammy’s teacher (you had her last year for US history and you knew that she had a son in the grade below you currently transitioning from female to male) that you were the one that did her project and send screenshots of Sammy calling you slurs. Luckily for you, you had receipts of her being transphobic in the past that you could also send. Everything was effortlessly falling into place for you today.
As you were typing, the front door swung open and two overly excited fifth graders ran into the house and up the stairs. A tired Schlatt followed them. “I will never know how the hell Phil keeps up with them.”
“I dunno, maybe because he’s already raised three kids before.”
You watched as your uncle jumped and whipped his head over towards you, his hand clutching his chest. He lightly glared at you, “christ kid don’t do that, you nearly gave me a heart attack.”
You smirked at him before turning back to your laptop to continue typing the essay. You were almost done with the conclusion paragraph on Annie’s essay and you wanted to get to Sammy’s presentation as fast as possible. As you were typing, you felt a warm air fan across your neck and your uncle’s voice right next to your ear, “whatcha typin?”
You lept off the couch and almost fell into the coffee table before steadying yourself and deadpanning at Schlatt. “I was typing an essay before you interrupted me.”
He snorted, “it looked like you were on a roll, just thought I’d see what my beloved niece was writing. Can I read it?”
Your eyes lit up as an excited grin split your cheeks, “yeah, but lemme catch you up real quick. Adrian, Sammy, and Annie got mad at me a few days ago and wanted me to do some homework for them as a sort of payment. But after they pulled that little stunt in the lunchroom yesterday, they decided to be little bitches to me and call me slurs. So naturally, I decided to change the essay prompt into an in depth analysis about discrimination LGBT people face from their peers on the daily. My english teacher’s really against homophobia and the project’s worth twenty five percent of our overall grade, so it’s perfect.”
While you were rambling on and on about your detailed plot for revenge, Schlatt couldn’t help but be proud of the person you’d become. A major part of him was impressed that you came up with a detailed plan so quickly, that meant that his cunning nature was rubbing off on you and that made him ecstatic. Sure you mentioning not being straight was new to him, but he was prepared to accept you for whatever you identified as. He didn’t care how people identified, he just cared if they were good people. And his niece was one of the best kids he knew. He’d let your slip up slide for now until you felt comfortable enough to properly come out to him.
“That an amazing plan, fuckin brilliant. Though, you could do more.”
That piqued your interest, “I’m listening.”
“Do you have any blackmail?”
Your eyes glinted with sudden understanding, “why yes I do, uncle dearest. I just so happen to have thousands of texts from them talking shit about each other and basically the entire school. And them being incredibly racist. They would be destroyed if that came out.”
“Two things. One, never call me that again. Two, perfect. Keep it as leverage if they try to do something. You don’t pull out all the good cards in the first round, you wait for the right moment to strike so you can win. You need to constantly defend yourself against other players and anticipate their every move. If you leak everything right now, you won’t have anything to use against them if they have something up their sleeve you didn’t know about. Patience is key in things like this.”
You absorbed every single word that came out of his mouth like it was the holy gospel. Although he was your uncle and you loved him with all your heart, but he was a sly bastard when he wanted to be. He knew his way around fighting and manipulating people just right, so you were incredibly happy that you were on his good side and he absolutely adored you. Though questionable and morally gray, he was giving you advice because he cared about you and you’d be an idiot to not heed his advice.
“That’s genius, Uncle Schlatt. What would I do without you?”
“You’d get along just fine without me, you would’ve gotten there eventually. You’re smart. I’m just givin you a little push in the right direction.”
“I honestly would’ve never thought about waiting, I was so dead set on getting revenge that I would’ve just leaked everything all at once. I want them to feel how I felt when they were around me. I-” you paused. Would this make you the same as them? You’d be screwing up all their grades, Adrian’s job, and Sammy’s athletic career. You came to the chilling realization that you’d be the same as them. You’d be as manipulative as they were. “...Uncle Schlatt, would that make me the same as them?”
“Fuck no! You’re always gonna be better than them no matter what. When they’re at their best, you’re always gonna be a whole lot better than them. They deserve what’s happening to them, it sounds like they put you through so much shit the past few years. I actually think you could do a whole lot worse to them if you’re willing to put more work in, but it’s your plan and if you think that what you’re doing is too much,” he darkly chuckled, “you wouldn’t like my idea.”
“You’re right, they deserve everything I have planned for them. God, I don’t know what I was thinking, ‘would that make me the same as them,’” you mocked what you said earlier, “what a load of shit. Anyways, thanks Uncle Schlatt. I’m gonna get back to writing this. They’re due tomorrow and I wanna finish as much as I can before I have to go.”
“Alright, whaddya want for dinner? Phil’s gonna be like thirty minutes late from work so I’m cookin tonight.”
Oh no. No, no, no, no. That man can barley cook boxed mac n cheese, let alone anything else. He’d burn down the house if you left him alone in the kitchen with the stove. “On second thought, why don’t I help you with dinner? We can make some chicken alfredo.”
“Awe, you’d rather hang out with me than finish your homework? Ya really do love me. C’mon let’s start.”
The process of making dinner was… interesting. Multiple times, Schlatt almost spilled boiling water on himself and he even managed to burn the pasta while it was in the water. How he even managed to do that you’d never find out, you had your back turned cutting up vegetables and herbs at the time. That was when you subtly started to take over in the kitchen, giving him smaller tasks while you handled everything else. You felt bad for Tubbo, his father can’t cook for shit.
By time you finished, about an hour passed and Philza had come home and changed out of his work clothes. The two adults sat at the table discussing something that you didn’t pay attention to while your brothers and cousin were in the living room waiting for you to finish dinner. Finally, you set the table and it was time to eat.
Because you couldn’t have many fatty foods before any matches or practices, you had made a separate plate for yourself that only had plain pasta, chicken, and broccoli. You were surprised with how well it turned out, you were following an iffy recipe you found on the first link Google brought up.
After dinner, you went upstairs to put your uniform on and pack a little bag full of things you might need: a small blanket, some snacks, a water bottle, and a portable charger. Oh, and fuzzy socks and a pair of crocs. You could never go wrong with fuzzy socks and crocs. Feeling a vibration in your pocket, you pulled out your phone.

Uncle Schlatty Patty
Fuck all of you
You heard Haley’s car pull into the driveway and dashed out of your room with your bag. Just as you put your hand on the doorknob, a hand stopped you.
“Coat.”
You grumbled as you reached past Philza to grab your coat. After you slipped it on, you were pulled into a hug. “You’re gonna do great out there. I know you’re gonna win this, we’ll be watching in the stands.”
“Damn right she’s gonna do good, she’s my niece after all.”
Schlatt pulled you away from your father’s hug and tried to ruffle your hair before you swatted away his hand, “don’t. You have no idea how long it took me to get a perfect ponytail. I have an ungodly amount of hairspray and bobby pins in my hair right now.”
“Fine. You’re gonna kick their asses tonight.”
Tommy and Tubbo pushed past Schlatt and both tackled you into a hug making you stumble slightly back.
“Kick their asses good (y/n)!” Tommy cheered, making you crack up before one stern glance from Philza completely stopped you. “Tommy, don’t say that. (Y/n), not funny.”
“Alright, Haley’s waiting for me. I gotta go, love you guys!” As you turned to walk through the door, you could hear your family following you and shouting “good luck”. You felt heat creep up on your cheeks as Haley rolled down her window and wove at your family with the biggest grin on her face.
“Thank you! We’re gonna take home the gold for sure!”
You hopped in her car as she rolled up the window and chuckled. “I love your family, they’re always so full of energy. It’s refreshing to see compared to how boring my family is.”
You glanced at your entire family gathered on the front porch. Tommy and Tubbo were practically vibrating with excitement, Wilbur and Techno calmly smiled and wove at you, Philza was grinning widely at you as you saw his mouth forming words that you couldn’t hear or read, and Schlatt was grinning cheekily at you. You raised your hand to wave at them as they vanished from view when Haley pulled out of your driveway. You smiled softly, “I love em too.”
The car ride was relatively quick with the same soft indie pop music floating from the speakers and an easy going conversation with Haley about the match tonight. You both thought that you could beat the other team if everyone focused 100% and played exactly like you guys did in practices. If everyone did that, you would be unstoppable.
Luckily for you and Haley, you were the first ones in line to board the bus so you two got the back seat with Zara and Jazzy sitting across from you guys. The hour long bus ride passed quickly and lively with you four passing around your phone and playing some mad libs, you were sure that by the end of the last game you four were laughing and crying. Sometime in the middle of the trip, you noticed that Haley would start to lean on your shoulder and continuously glance at you as she laughed. You desperately wanted to believe that it was because she liked you, but she was straight and she was your best friend. She was probably trying to make sure you were having a good time.
When the team had gotten to the opposing school and left the locker room to stretch in the gym, you could hear your family start to scream your and Haley’s names from the front row next to you, Tommy and Tubbo being the loudest amongst them with Philza trying to get them to quiet down so you could focus. You felt your cheeks heat up as you smiled at them and Haley wove enthusiastically back at them. Zara was laughing at you two. Stretching went by in a flash and before you knew it, you were on the court facing the opposing team.
The first match was won by the opposing team by five points. The second match stretched on and on until it was won by your team narrowly by two points. The team was going to have to shape up in the third match if you guys wanted a chance at winning, the opposing team was good. Before the third match started, Coach Williams called for a time out so you guys could talk about strategy. Before Haley could go back onto the court, you pulled her aside.
“Hales, we need to do what we practiced. The other team won’t be expecting it at all, I’ve been setting you up this entire game. They’re never going to expect you setting me up for a spike.”
“When are we going to do it though? We need a better plan.”
“I’m sure the opportunity will come and both of us will recognize it. We just can’t do it too early in the game though, that’ll ruin their surprise.”
“(Y/n), I hope you know what you’re doing.”
“When do I not Hales? We gotta get gold this year.”
The third round went by with both teams constantly swapping places until you both were tied fifteen to fifteen. You saw the ball flying towards Haley, giving her the perfect opportunity to set you up for a spike.  “HALEY NOW!”
You watched as her face hardened in determination as she pretended like she was going to spike it by jumping high in the air and stretching her arms back, making the opposing front row players all gather in front of her. Much to their surprise, she launched it towards you as you leaped up and went for the kill. The stinging of the ball hit by your wrist and the smack sound the ball made when it slammed onto the open gym floor was something you’d never forget as the crowd around you went wild over the unexpected play. You could hear the high pitched screaming of Tommy and Tubbo over everybody else. Glancing at them over your shoulder, you saw them jumping up and down on the gym floor and looking at you with awe filled eyes and gaping mouths. The rest of your family looked at you with similar expressions, their cheers echoing in your mind. Winking at them, you turned back to your team and went straight to Haley. Clapping a hand on her shoulder, you pulled her into a quick hug, yelling over the raving of the crowd. “HALEY WE NAILED THAT!”
“HOLY SHIT I DID NOT THINK THAT WAS ACTUALLY GONNA WORK!”
“You have such little faith in your setter! You wound me Hales.”
“Well, I would have more faith in you if you weren’t chaotic on the court, sweetheart.”
You felt yourself surge in happiness at the nickname, but you couldn’t afford to focus too much on it. Your team only needed one more point to win best in the state and go to nationals. It would be the first time in your team’s history if you reached national level, and you’d be damned if you were the one to screw it up for them.
The last rotation went on for a while, each team fighting tooth and nail for the state championship title with clashing determination. You tried your best to block every hit and try to set Haley up for a spike, and you were successful for the most part, only missing a few blocks. You saw the setter adjacent to you set the spiker up for a spike and jumped up in time to try to block it, your arms stretched upwards and your palms out. Only, the ball didn’t hit your hands. It collided painfully with your nose, ricocheted off your face with a thwack and sailed over to the other side of the court. Your head whipped back as your body followed suit and flew backwards onto the floor. Without giving you any time to react, your head bounced back and cracked against the polished hardwood floor of the gym. Everything went black.
“...(y……”
“..(y/n)......”
“(Y/n).”
You faintly heard someone calling someone’s name over the continuous ringing noise. Was it your name? It felt right, so it had to be your name. You peeled your eyes open to see a blurry figure hovering over you. It was swirled with tans, browns, and backs. After a while of the figure repeating your name, it slowly became more recognizable, albeit appearing twice in your vision. It took you a while to figure out who this was before your muddled brain recognized Haley.
“Hales! There’s two o’ya. Twice as beautiful babe…” You slurred out as you attempted to smile at her.
“Oh thank god, PLEASE WE NEED A DOCTOR SHE HIT HER HEAD!” Her usually angelic voice gritted against your brain like sandpaper making you cringe as pain exploded in your head.
“God babe you’re so loud, why’s so bright? I-wha's goin on?” You blearily tried to move your head to look around only to be stopped by a pair of large hands on each side of your head gently holding it in place. You moved your laggy eyes around to look at the figure. He was a blonde man with blue eyes and a hint of stubble on his chin. His eyebrows were knitted together and he looked… he looked… your brain worked to figure out why he looked how he looked. Who was he?
“Please don’t move hun.” His muffled voice was baritone. You squinted at him trying to figure out who this man was.
“Who th f-fuck… why?”
“I’m your dad hun. Do-do you not recognize me?” You made a noise in the back of your throat as your stuffy brain finally put a name to the face.
“Dad- wha’s goin on? I’on feel so good…”
“Shh, I know, I know. Just stop moving and talking. Everything’s fine. I’m here. You’re okay.”
“Mmk… Dad, where are we? I’ont know- you’re so quiet.”
“Stop moving so much. You’re on the floor in a gym. You just won your team the state championship. Now stop talking please.”
Huh. So that’s why everybody seemed to appear from above you. You strained your eyes to look around you, but you could only see your dad’s face hovering above you. “Shit I- who’s aroun’ me? Where’s Hales?”
“I’m right here sweetheart. I got the doctor, Mr. Minecraft.”
Your dad’s face moved away from your vision so fast that it made your head spin and your stomach twist. Another face appeared above you that you once again didn’t recognize.
“I’m Doctor Martin, can you tell me your first and last name?”
“Uh, (y/n) Minecraft?”
“Good, what month are we in right now?”
“Nov-November?”
“Close, it’s late October. Can you tell me who this,” he pointed to your dad, “is?”
“S’my dad Phillip.”
“That’s your dad Philza.”
The questioning stopped as he suddenly shined a blinding light into your sensitive eyes. You hissed as you tried to move your head away from the offending light only to be held in place by your dad’s hands. Your head spun as you moved too quickly and a wave of nausea hit you, making you groan and move your arm to cover your eyes. Your hand was stopped by something warm and soft wrapping around it and holding it tightly. Everything was so overwhelmingly and painfully bright and loud. You wanted to make it stop.
“Mr. Minecraft, your daughter appears to have a concussion. I don’t have the tools on hand to determine the severity of it, but it’s worrying that her pupils are asymmetrical, she’s delirious, and has slight memory loss. I understand you live about an hour away from here, and it’s alright for you to take her to a hospital closer to your house. Make sure you keep her alert.”
Your delirious mind only registered about half of what came out of the doctor’s mouth. You mumbled gibberish as you once again opened your eyes to look around. You were only briefly able to crane your neck to the left. Several figures large and small were standing behind your dad. Your family, your mind supplemented. Slowly, your mind was starting to recognize your surroundings even if there was currently double of everything and everything was blurry.
“I’m going to help you stand up. Do ya think you can do that?”
“Yeah Dad.” You lifted your upper body off from the ground with a gentle hand on your back helping you sit up. Fighting the wave of nausea that slapped you in the face, you reached up to rub at your eyes. A hand once again stopped you. You peeked your eyelids open and lightly glared at whomever stopped you. “Hales you’re lucky you’re so cute I woulda slapped you. I like holdin but you’re bein annoying. Stop.” You attempted to make your voice sound firm, but the words that came out of your mouth were slightly slurred.
She was silent as she helped her dad haul you to your feet. Once on your feet, you saw the room spin and felt yourself start to sway slightly. An arm wrapped itself around your shoulders and pulled you close to them so that your weight was supported. They were a little taller than you were making it easy to lean on them.
“...Can you walk?” A deep, monotone voice rumbled the chest of the person you were leaning against.
“Mhm. ‘M not weak.” Though your limbs felt like they were made of molasses, you placed one foot in front of the other slowly. The person moved alongside you, “you’re doing so good, keep going.” That sparked familiarity in you as you stopped in your tracks and tried to look up at the person you were leaning against making the person tighten their arm around your shoulders when you almost fell over.
“Tech?”
“Yeah, it’s Technoblade. Just focus on walking. You’re almost out of the gym.”
When you realized that you were out of the gym, you sighed in relief. It was so much quieter and darker. Though it was still relatively bright, it was better than the gym.
“S’better.”
“When we get her to the car we can give her some sunglasses or something if it’s still too bright for her.”
“Wilbs-”
“Focus on walking.”
You huffed in irritation, “don’ tell me what to do bitch.”
You felt Techno’s body jolt slightly as he chuckled, making your head throb at the sudden movement. “Just walk.”
When you walked outside, you shivered as you felt the cool air nip at your exposed skin. Right, you were in your volleyball uniform. “I’ll go pull the car around, you guys stay with her.”
You saw a tall brunet start to walk away from you. Uncle Splat? Uncle Schmat? Whatever his name was, you were sure he was your uncle. You tried to snuggle closer to Techno, craving warmth but never being satisfied. Where was your uncle?
After a while, you saw a car moving towards you and blinding light pointed right at you making you cringe away and groan. Techno started to slowly walk towards the car. “C’mon (y/n), you’re almost there. When you’re in the car you can relax.”
“Tommy, Tubbo, and Techno, you’re in the back row. Schlatt can drive and Wil, you’re taking the passenger seat. I’ll stay with her in the middle row so she can have some room to lay down.” Tommy and Tubbo were with you? Why weren’t they talking, they usually were very vocal.
“Tom, Tubbs didja like the game?”
They didn’t say anything as they climbed into the car. Did they not hear you?
“They’re just… tired (y/n).” Your dad’s voice reassured you as he took Techno’s place holding you up.
“I wanna nap. ‘M so tired.”
“You can’t sleep yet. We gotta get you to a doctor first.”
“Mm. Makes sense.”
“Let’s get you in the car hun.”
As he helped you climb into the car, you felt an overwhelming wave of nausea wash over you making you lose your balance and almost faceplant into the cloth seats. You felt yourself being gently, yet urgently taken out of the car and led to grass as you felt your esophagus shorten. Something burning made its way up your throat and spewed into the grass. You felt someone rubbing your back as you puked up your dinner.
When you were done, you reached up with a shaking hand to wipe your mouth. “You feelin better? Think you can get back into the car or do you need to sit down for a bit?”
“Car.”
After some difficulty, you were successfully in the middle row of the car laying down with your head on Philza’s lap. Soon enough, your shoes were taken off and a blanket was draped over you.
“(Y/n), what do you remember?”
You scrunched up your face as you squinted at Philza’s face. “I remember playing volleyball with Hales. She’s so pretty, she’s straight though. I remember the other team hitting the ball, me jumping, then nothin. Wha’ happened?”
You watched as Philza winced, “well, you got everything right so far. You got hit in the face with the ball so you fell and hit your head on the floor. You were passed out for a minute before you woke up. It was a pretty nasty fall, we’re going to the hospital now. How’re ya feelin?”
“Head hurts, ‘m seein two of everything, an I can’t think.”
“Do you know what a concussion is?” You nodded in his lap slightly, “you probably have one.”
After a while of talking, you were slowly starting to come to your senses and your speech was clearing up, but your head was still too stuffy to think about what you were saying before you said it. You didn’t have a filter.
“Do you wanna tell us about your week so far? Do you remember most of it?”
“Mhm, it was shit. On Monday I had a panic attack and Adrian, Sammy, and Annie were being bitches to me all day. They fucked up my back. On Tuesday, they got mad at me for ditching them and they had me do their homework, had another panic attack, and Haley told me that someone took pictures of our boobs ‘n stuff and they were gonna leak it to the school if Haley didn’t stop hanging out with me. Haley and I almost kissed, but she’s straight. Pulled an all nighter and Wednesday I accidentally came out to Tech and Wil and had another panic attack. Annie, Adrian, and Sammy took more pictures of me through my window, Annie outed me to the entire school and slapped me. Another panic attack, skipped the last two classes and felt like shit the entire practice. Today Adrian and Sammy told me to kill myself and I had another panic attack. ’S about it.”
As you were going through your week, the hand that was previously gently stroking your hair had frozen as the car was enveloped in a tense silence. Luckily, Tommy and Tubbo were passed out in the back seat so they didn’t hear how bad your week was. Everyone awake knew that you had a few bad days this week, but they didn’t know the full extent of it. You watched as Philza’s expression had turned downright murderous, but you didn’t really care. You were busy talking about your week.
For the rest of the car ride, Philza asked you simple questions like what your favorite color was, your favorite animal, basically your favorite everything. Eventually, the car pulled into the hospital parking lot and Philza helped you get out of the car. “Schlatt, can you take the boys home so they can get some rest? I’ll stay with her.”
“Yeah, I’m on it. Don’t cause too much trouble (y/n), we all know you can raise hell.” He watched you for a reaction, but when you didn’t react, he coughed. “Well, I’ll see ya later kid. Good luck.”
The car drove off leaving you and Philza at the front of the emergency room building. “It’s gonna be a long night (y/n).”
“I gotta finish Annie’s essay and Sammy’s presentation though.”
“No you don’t, I’ll email your teachers.”
You two checked in with the front desk before moving to sit on the uncomfortable chairs. It was going to be a long night. You were so tired.

Okay so I finally came up with a Soulmate AU request to celebrate your (very well-deserved) milestone! How about a soulmark au with poly frontier? I’m really curious to hear your thoughts on how everyone would handle having the same mark as four other people! (Aside from Will and Benny of course - so maybe everyone else has two marks while they each have one??) - Ghost
ghost, my first fandom friend, by biggest encourager of self-indulgent chaos... I sincerely hope you enjoy
warnings: this takes place "in" my poly frontier au, which means it's 18+.
and by in, I mean this is an au to my au, so just... yeah. you know what's happening.
<<
soulmate requests / follower celebration
>>
They knew, deep down that they were soulmates before the marks came in solid.
Even when there was just the faintest echo of shading, almost a bruise of a moment, they already knew.
Because the four of them, and Tom, had willing gone to hell and back with each other. They had felt the lifeblood bleed out of each other, and given their very breath to try to make up for it, sacrificed... everything, for each other. Not for their country, like the thought, and it wasn't even for the greater good that they survived - it was the men who's eyes found each other's across the fire that fortified their souls. And they'd been pushed and pulled and stretched together, and when only four remained, thoroughly broken and then healing together, they knew.
Months into therapy, each on their own, and a lifetime into tired phonecalls with quiet apologies, the tattoos solidified.
It was Santi who organized the dinner
"Can... can I ask you guys something?"
"A little late for that, don't you think?" Will’s words were without bite, and he sipped his drink carefully.
"Fuck off," he said begrudgingly, endearingly. "Your guy's... came in, too?" That part was false confidance, a thin veil over wild fear.
"Yep," Frankie's tone was matter-of-fact, satisfied. Glances and nods, they all... processed it. Benny swallowed the last of his drink and Frankie's knuckles ran over his thighs. Santi inhaled deeply before letting the breathe out slowly, trying to ignore the slight tremble of his hands.
It was messy, the soulmate talk. They'd been having it all their lives - the intricacies that even the world's most powerful governments still couldn't untangle. And Frankie and Santi each had two.
Will dragged his thumb through the condensation on his glass, looking involuntarily at his brother.
"I need to tell you guys something." Their heads shot up to look at him, and Benny almost laughed.
"There's someone else."
They were looking at him in blank shock, an appropriate reaction.
"Fuck."
"You know this... how, exactly?"
"Childhood friend. She got two, in college. Matches Will and me, the same as you guys. " Ben sounded almost giddy, his words making the chaos real.
"Mom hated it - was sure one of us was going to die or get our heart broken. But then we saw your guy's and -"
"Fuck."
"Yeah."
"Why didn't you say anything before now?" Frankie was mad. It was too much - it felt unreal.
"She said she didn't want to choose either brother, said it didn't feel right."
"Now we know why, I guess." Benny's hand ran across Frankie's shoulder, his attempt to make light of it all had been put aside.
"She?"
"Yeah."
Pope dragged his hand along his jaw, drink forgotten. There was a familiar glint in his eye, and Will knew he felt it too - like it or not, it felt right. Frankie would take longer to convince - he looked like he wanted to crack his head open and cook whatever was inside.
"You guys should meet her."
Catfish made a strangled noise, and Will couldn't help but kiss his temple.
"Whenever you're ready."
-
It took weeks.
Frankie went silent for ten days, ignoring calls and texts, before Will came home and found him on his couch.
They talked for awhile and it was nice, different than therapy. Not about being Delta, not about Columbia or cocaine, they talked about... you. About how you'd been Will's first love, since he was a pretend knight in shining armor, and you'd asked to be the dragon. About how he'd seen that same look in Benny's eyes when you'd been the only one to turn up at one of his high school shows. Their long talks, trying to figure out how to move on from their soulmate, how impossible it felt until they all met on the force. About how scary it was, for all these friendships to become something so... unknown.
And over chili, Frankie sighed, and agreed to meet you. Because of Will, he was already in love with you more than he'd admit even to himself.
-
They invited you over to Santi's for dinner, not wanting to cause a scene at a restaurant.
Benny hugged you the moment you walked in, crushing your nerves and your ribcage at the same time. Your hand cradled his cheek, a reassuring touch.
Then Will gently pulled you into his arms, harboring you against his chest. He asked questions into your hair, and you grabbed fistfulls of his shirt before you nodded.
The one they introduced as Frankie - Catfish - didn't touch you but he might as well have. He stepping into your space, looking right into your eyes, standing over you like he was as tall as Ben. His words were kind, and careful. His tattoos matched yours.
The other - Santi, Pope - dropped the package of farmer's market veggies he'd been holding onto the ground. Then he shook your hand, while the others shot him looks like he'd grown an extra head. You wondered if Will had texted you the wrong names - he didn't seem excited to meet you like they'd said. If anything, he seemed caught off-guard, like there was a confidance you had taken away. But his tattoos matched yours.
Your nerves returned.
Food helped, polite conversations melting into teasing stories and giddy laughter. They ate a lot, and you smiled when they shared bites with each other. Under the table Benny’s hand found yours, and squeezed before he got distracted. Above, Will touched your cheek and for the first time, you let yourself lean into his warmth.
And when you began to clean the dishes, something shifted. Frankie's hands ran over yours in the soapy water, and he seemed startled, but he shifter closer to you, both of you flushing as you sought the touch again.
Moments later you stumbled upon Santi looking at the stars when you took out the trash. It was flattering, that such a man would be nervous because of you. Standing on your toes, you kissed his cheek, and he pulled you into his arms, grab so tight you though you understood his fears. His palm held your head against his neck,, and you wrapped your arms around his broad ribcage. Will found you like that, and leaned against the doorframe, watching.
You felt like you were free falling, and you could tell they felt it too. It was a lot to take in, but no one seemed like they wanted the night to end. Trading stories and sharing glances, it dragged on and on, until Francisco caught you yawning, and coaxed the evening to a close.
By the time he succeeded, you knew, and so did they. Marks be damned - this was it.
-
Your first individual date was with Benny. It wasn't as easy as either of you expected - his own anxiety about the situation finally catching up to his excitement. He was a good friend, always had been, always would be, and you knew him like the back of your hand. Dating had been off-limits for so long.... it was going to take time to rewrite.
"I just... I love you. I love you all so much." Your Ben was always honest. It would've felt like a crazy thing to say, on a first date, but everything about this wasn't traditional.
"I love you too, Ben, you know I do." Your voice was quiet, trying to convey how strange this was for you, too, and he let out a long, slow breath. After awhile, air full of thoughtful silence, his shoulders relaxed and he smiled, soft and happy.
His rough hands found yours again, and this time, he didn't let go until he had to.
-
When you met Frankie for lunch, you felt suddenly shy. His dark eyes felt like they could see right into your heart, and you fidgeted, hoping he liked whatever he saw.
He talked like he knew you, and you felt like he did, a strange comfort in the chaos of your worlds. When your wrist bumped your glass he caught both, hand lingering on your skin as he ducked his head and pulled his eyes away.
Words came easier, then, and more and more, until suddenly you felt like maybe fate know what it was doing.
Frankie was thoughtful - so thoughtful and careful and kind, you watched him in awe, tempted to hug him without abandon. And he talked with passion, about your boys, how they saved him time and time again, and how he took care of them, when you couldn't.
You realized, as you kissed his cheek goodbye, that he was the one who helped change Benny's tire, so he could make it to your birthday party a few years ago. Footsteps already on the way down the street, your heart tugged, begging you to take one last look at his fluffy curls and steady eyes. When you turned back, he was watching you, hands in his pockets, and you wondered as you waved if it was too soon to say you were head over heels for Francisco Morales.
-
Dinner with Santi felt the most like a first date, of all of them. He was quick to flirt, but his eyes held yours, and his smile was perfectly crooked, and you knew he meant every word.
He told you information, rather than stories, rambling excitedly, one train of thought stringing into the next. When he realized his tangents, he flushed, wringing his napkin as he apologized.
"Don't," you shushed him, "Tell me more, please."
He was silent for a moment, pausing to drink you in, heart racing in spite of himself. And then he resumed, and you thought maybe you got it.
For years, he'd had loves all around him, but... you were his first opportunity to be romantic in a dramatic way, as intense as his heart had ached for, silently. It was lovely, watching him settle into his skin, and when he kissed your temple that night, it was a thank you, and a promise.
Despite all logic, the free falling and stumbling steps towards whatever came next, he made you feel safe.
-
It was a familiar grassy hill, you met Will on, one you'd climb to when you were teens who needed to talk.
He sat close - closer than he ever had - but enough away that you could move, if you wanted to. It was strange, talking about the others with him, seeing the relief in his eyes as your honesty poured out. Moments later, he matched it, and you saw that golden glow as he smiled.
"I'm glad, really I am."
You waited.
"But..." gently, you bumped into him and he looked at you, blue eyes questioning. "I know you, Will."
His smile grew.
"Could I... I want to kiss you." It wasn't really a question - and he held himself back, watching for your response. There was no need to add I want to kiss you because I've been waiting to, aching to. Since we were kids - let me kiss you first. Please. Both lf you knew what he meant.
You weren't sure who leaned in first, but his hands, grabbed at your cheeks, fingertips in your hair, and his lips were warm and soft.
It, all of it, felt like home.

“Are you sure you want keep going” a man said with a stern face “Try me“ replied the alien with a smile The room was quiet as the stern look on the man’s face relaxed into a smile “Straight flush“ “wh-HOW!“ the alien howled “I was sure you’re bluffing“ “Oh I was“ “You... you sneaky ass. you wanted me to go all in!“ “Used your perceptivity against you, didn’t I. Good thing we didn’t play with real money“ “Haha, I must concede, you are good with your words, and body language. Much better than most humans“ “Well, I gotta be. You can’t have  diplomat lose their head on an alien planet“ “You are not gonna let me forget the cat incident will you Lawrence“ Rana sighed “Never“ Lawrence smiled mischievously as he got up It has been five years since first contact and due to her Xenoculturologyst expertise and involvement in the first contact Rana was offered the status of Galactic assembly Ambassador on Earth. I has been Stressful and exciting five years but as her final act as Ambassador she was tasked with presenting a human envoy to the General assembly.
This was not an easy task since one of Ranas first mission is to establish how a species that should be on the level of hunter-gatherers, or  early farmers at best has managed to reach the stage of early spaceflight at the time of first contact and managed to start colonies across their star system within her 5 year tenure. Rana did not have an explanation but she did have Lawrence. Her consultant, friend and a cause for around countless practical jokes in her embassy, some of which almost costed him his job.
“Want anything to drink R“ “Just a glass of water“ “Mind if i ask you a question?“ “Not at all my friend“ “Why did you want me to come with you? “Lawrence asked ” I mean I don’t rally have a stellar record. I’m just a childish archaeology“ Rana nodded “Yes, you are insufferable at times. But there is a dash of brilliance in your stupidity“ “I don’t know if that was an insult or a compliment“ Lawrence laughed “Both“ Rana replied “And Don’t interrupt me. What you don’t know is that the assembly thought your species wouldn’t  invent the wheel, let alone spaceflight for at least a couple more Centuries, if not a few millennia. I was supposed to find what made you develop so quickly“
“And what did you find?” “From what I see it’s dumb luck and stupid ingenuity“ Lawrence paused “...Yeah that does sound like Humanity. But still why does that involve me going to the assembly“ “Because you are the example of both... And because I’m fairly sure you are the least dangerous “mad scientists” I know“ “Oh you’re flattering me“ Lawrence laughed
The trip to the Assembly HQ lasted about a week, and this was just day 3. In the following day more members of the crew joined the poker games, Rana and Lawrence were bombarded with questions about the earth and Lawrence acquired a small collection of alien music “because it sounds interesting“. At the day of the arrival to the Sentinel system, the seat of the Galactyc assembly Lawrence offered a single comment on the  planet “So this is space Switzerland... Looks more like Argentina“ Rana laughed “What did you expect? Inverted pyramids?“ Rana appreciated this dash of humor, it distracted her from the address she’ll have to give in a few hours “Nervous?“ Lawrence asked “You remember the cat incident?“ Rana asked “Yes?“ “It feel worse than that“ “Pfff.. Seriously you thinking I have a Tiger, a 200 Kilo murdermachine in my house is not as bad as talking to your boss.“ After hearing Lawrences comment and his laugh Rana herself started laughing “So much about being a calm and collected diplomat“ Rana said with a giggle.
The two awaited to be summoned to the Hall of assembly, their cheerful demeanour and Lawrence himself attracting many gazes until an alien three times their size, deep voice but a pleasant demeanour  invited them to enter. “Ho ly hell“ Lawrence whispered overwhelmed with the amount of seats and different looking aliens in the hall “Esteemed collogues...” AN alien at the main podium said ”... the next issue of the day. The matter of our five year observatory mission to planet Terra. As you know our ambassador has just returned and has brought one of the planet inhabitants to speak for their planet. Ambassador, if you’d please“
“I thank you esteemed delegates“ Rana said “AS you know my role on the planet was to observe and determine how this planet defied the established patterns of development...And I’m sad to say I don’t have a firm answer“ Murmurs swept the room but Rana was not bothered “As a Xenoculturologyst this planet is a treasure trove, They don’t have a unified culture, and I’m not talking about regional distinctions, I’m talking cultures that one would not expect from one single species, and they have dozens of those. Honestly It’s a marvel they haven’t eradicated themselves.
They are a species of so many contradictions I can not explain it. Gentle yet brutal, thoughtful yet irrational, peaceful yet warlike... but I think my friend here will explain it much better“ Rana gestured for Lawrence to take the podium
“Hi“ Lawrence said still a little startled “I... I am still a bit overwhelmed for being here, but anyway, Rana told me you were wondering how we managed to get so far so fast... and me and Rana both agree the best answer we can offer is Dumb luck and our stupid ingenuity“
This comment prompted a few chuckles and murmurs “Yes I know it sounds silly but hear me out“ Lawrence said “Let’s take microwave oven as an example. It was discovered microwaves can be used for cooking after  a technician noticed his candy bar melted in his pocket next to a radar. it’s not the only time random chance helped our scientific endeavour. Perhaps the most notable example is Sir Isaac Newton figuring out Gravity after being inspired by an apple falling of the tree. What if that day he decided he was to lazy to take a stroll? what if he just looked the other way when the apple fell. Who know where we’d be.
And as to stupid ingenuity... well let me tell you a personal story. I am an archaeology, so my job includes digging out ruins of old civilisations, and one day on a dig my tools broke... so instead of borrowing from someone who wasn’t currently working I took a pickaxe and a small hammer ... and had to delicately brake off sediment by precise work with a VERY heavy pickaxe.. it was stupid, it was reckless, it could have damaged possible artefacts, but in the end it worked... so yeah, multiply that kind of thinking with the entire human population and you are bound to something actually useful. Now i know that this still might not explain exactly how we got so far but it’s the best we’ve got.“
murmuring started and the chairmen stepped in to silence the crowd “ Dear collogues, I know this debate leaves more questions than it answers  but for now we must continue. Ambassador, esteemed guest I thank you for your presentation.“ Rana and Lawrence left the room and Lawrence sighed with relief. “aaaaaaaaah that was nerve wrecking“ he said “Agreed“ Rana replied “What now?“ “Dinner?“ “Dinner“ The two laughed and returned to the hotel.
In the aftermath of the address the conclusion on Terra was:
1. Insignificant data to understand human pace of development 2. Humans appeared to Influence the Ambassador when it comes to Speech patterns and mannerism. Some considered it unprofessional, although she argued she broke no protocol (possible result of human influence) 3. Further study on Humans needed. Ambassador Rana will be removed from the position but kept as a consulter. New ambassador Shall be appointed

Secret Life of Gojo Satoru 2
Part 1
Pairings: Gojo Satoru x fem! Reader
Summary: What is the worst thing that could happen if you left the twins with their father?
Word Count: 1000+
Tumblr media
~~~~~~~
“I'll be back soon okay? Behave with Dada, understood?” the twins just nodded their head and kissed your cheeks, when you flicked your eyes upwards you met Gojo's blue ones. “You know that I would always find out if you'll be feeding them tons of chocolate. No chocolates, or else you'll be sleeping at your room in Jujutsu High.” Gojo felt like his heart stopped beating, he knew that you're not lying, if there is anything he has learned in this marriage it is the fact that you never spat empty threats.
The first time you threatened him like this, he ignored it and still bribed the kids with sweets and when you found out, he did slept at his room in Jujutsu High, Yaga was laughing his ass off when he found out and he even mocked him of how he was the strongest jujutsu sorcerer in the community but in the house you are the ruler, Gojo didn't mind it, he loves you so dearly and your toughness made him fall for you.
Gojo has a sweet tooth, it is because he has to keep on eating sweets because of his technique and even if you have a sweet tooth as well you wouldn't want your kids to have too much sugar and you have to remind Gojo over and over again that he shouldn't give them too much sweets, they have to learn to eat nutritious food and Gojo being Gojo, he uses the sweets to bribe the kids, that's why you were forced to teach him a lesson by letting him sleep in jujutsu high, much to Yaga's amusement.
With a pale face he picked up the twins and smiled at you sweetly, “No sweets for the kids today, got it Mama.” he told you and you laughed before kissing him on his cheeks, you heard him whine about how you missed his lips but you just stuck your tongue out. “You can have all the kisses later, Satoru but if you feed them sweets you should just kiss the wall.” Gojo dramatically looked at you and shook his head, “Then just give me one kiss right now, I need motivation baby.” the twins looked at their father with disgusted faces and when you were about to lean in to kiss Gojo, Akira cupped your face and kissed you instead.
Gojo never felt so betrayed in his whole life. He was about to lean in to kiss you but Akihiro pushed his face away before leaning towards you.
“Aww babies, I love you. Come here Hiro, let Mama kiss you.” Hiro giggled and gave you a kiss and you giggled at the two, “Better luck next time, Satoru.” you winked at your husband and went out of your house and you swear you could hear Gojo's whines about the kiss that he didn't get but you just laughed it off.
---
“Dada! We're hungry!” The twins told their father as they got tired of running around the house, so far Gojo is being able to manage to take care of the two and he felt relieved that they're not throwing tantrums as of now.
He pat their heads and stood up, “Alright, Dada will cook for you two. But you guys should behave. I'll turn on the TV, watch some cartoons and let Dada do the work is that okay?” the twins nodded their head in excitement and sat at the carpet on the living room while holding their toys, before Gojo left the living room to went to the kitchen he saw the twins held each other's hand as they watch. He couldn't help but smile at the sight, he decided to silently take a picture so he could show you later.
The twins are fond of fried chicken that's why Gojo decided to fry some but as he waits for the chicken to get cooked he heard a loud crash and he ran to see what happened and he was frozen at what he saw.
“Dada! Hiro broke the vase because he threw the ball!” Gojo's jaw dropped when he saw the vase, Hiro was pouting and glaring at his sister saying that she's not suppose to say what happened. Gojo immediately picked them up and made them sat at the couch as he clean the broken pieces of the vase, after making sure that it was all taken care of he looked at the twins.
Gojo is not that strict as a parent, he believes that his children should be guided in what they do not to be controlled on what to do and if they made a mistake they should learn from their own failures. But that's not the case with three year olds.
“Hiro, look at Dada.” he sat at the front of the two and gave them a smile to reassure them that he's not mad. “That vase is not really important because we can buy another but if something happened to you or to your sister, Mama and I would be upset because you two are our most valuable treasure. You were planning to clean your mess and hide it to Dada weren't you?” Gojo asked his son.
Akihiro looked at his tiny hands and sniffed, “Sorry Dada.” he whispered and Gojo cupped his face gently to make him look up at him, “Just promise you won't keep any secrets from Dada and Mama. Also, don't fight with Akira alright? You two should protect each other do you understand?” Hiro nodded his head and looked at his sister, he hugged her and kissed her cheeks. “Sorry, Kira.” Gojo smiled and ruffled their hair before standing up.
“Don't worry about the vase, I'll be the one to explain to Mama. Watch TV and wait for me to finish cooking.” he kissed their foreheads and went back to kitchen, thank goodness the chicken didn't get burned.
----
When Gojo finished cooking, he called the twins to the kitchen and made them sat on their designated chairs before he placed down their foods. “After eating, we'll take a bath. You two smell bad.” Gojo lied and the twins glared at him. “No! You are smelly Dada! Mama said we smell good!” he laughed as he saw the twins' noses turned red in annoyance, it's a thing that the two inherited from you, the only difference is that your whole face gets red every time you're annoyed.
It was cute and he loves that the twins got that trait from you, “Kira, don't be messy.” Hiro reached for a tissue and wiped his sister's mouth while Gojo watched them with a smile plastered on his lips, he can't believe these kids are his, he's thankful that he found a woman who was strong enough to stay with him and gave him two angels, he couldn't ask for more.
“Kids, look at here. Dada will send Mama a picture.”
The twins smiled at the camera and Gojo chuckled before sending them to you with a caption. “Our 12 rounds that night are worth it babe, look at our angels.” he knows he'll receive a smack for that caption but he'll cross the bridge when he get there.
As he had said, he have to give the twins a bath and they are both excited to take a bath so it wasn't a tough job for Gojo, “Dada you stink! Shower already!” Akira pinched her nose and frowned at Gojo, Hiro laughed and also started teasing his father. “That's why Mama didn't kiss Dada he smells bad!” Hiro splashed water to Gojo and Gojo gasped.
“Young man, you want a fight?”
“Kira help!”
The twins ended up giving their father a bath, Gojo was all wet and the kids are not yet done so he told them to settle down so he could finish and take a bath on his own.
After that, Gojo took them in their room and dressed them, he put some baby powder in their back and when they were all done he took the box of toys from the top of the cabinet so the twins could play in their room. “Stay here while I shower alright? Shout for Dada if you need something.” The twins are too busy playing to give him attention that's why they just gave him a thumbs up, Gojo shook his head with a chuckle before he ran to the bathroom and turn on the shower.
----
Akihiro got bored playing his toys and he poked his sister's arm. “This is not fun, let's play other things.” Akira frowned but agreed to her brother, “What are we gonna play though?” Akihiro looked around the room and his gaze landed at the pillow, he was planning on throwing it to Akira and have a pillow fight but whe he got closer to the pillows, he saw the big bottle of baby powder, Akihiro waste no time and turn the lid befor squeezing it.
Akira's face was so white because of the powder, she wiped away the powder on her face before glaring at her brother, Hiro giggled and run away, Akira looked around to search for the other bottle of baby powder since she knew they have so many of that and when she successfully saw one she climb on the chair and reach for the baby powder placed on the table. She climbed down the chair and removed the seal before squeezing it towards her brother's direction.
The floor became slippery because of the powder, the twins are falling around the room but they didn't mind it, instead they giggled every time they fall and as they keep on going, they ran out of baby powder.
“Mine's empty now, let me get another one.” Hiro told his sister before he climbed at the same chair where his sister climbed and took two bottles of baby powder giving the other one to Kira.
Their war resumed and at the exact moment, Gojo just got out of the shower, he could hear their giggles and he was about to smile but as he sense the trouble, he immediately ran and his knees almost gave in when he saw that the whole room is covered by powder.
“DADA!”
Gojo had to drop his infinity when the twins charged themselves towards him, the next thing he knew his face was now full of powder, the twins' giggles filled his ears and Gojo decided to laugh it off. “We're all so dead.” he wiped his face and looked at his children, being a mischievous dad that he is, he wiped his hands on their faces and the twin ran away from him.
The three of them ran inside the room, slipping from time to time, when Gojo finally caught the twins he carried them and shook them as an attempt to get rid of the powders, “Wow Dada is so strong!” Akihiro giggled while Kira held onto her Dad tightly, “Enough, enough, Dada too high, too high.” Gojo put them down in front of a full length mirror and he sat in between them, “Look at our faces. You think Mama will still love us?” the twins giggled and nodded their heads.
When you got inside the house the first thing you heard were giggles, as you follow the voices you stopped on the room of the twins and when you opened it you saw Gojo and the twins trying to get rid of the evidences of their mess.
Gojo's hair has never been whiter, he's not wearing any shirt and his whole body is full of baby powder. The twins? They're worse than that to the point that you couldn't even describe their apperances in words.
“Gojo Satoru.” you called your husband, your voice stern and your stare was blank.
And at that moment, Gojo knows that he fucked up.
Colby Brock. A guy that had been your crush since eighth grade, when he’d moved to town. There was something about him that called you back to him time and time again. He was a kind soul with a passion for life. He was someone you felt you could get along with.
But his whole attitude changed when the two of you started high school. He quickly became cold and rude. Quickly climbing the social ladder to join ranks with the most popular students in the school. These were the same people who bullied you and your friends.
It should have ended your crush on him, but it didn’t. The crush only seemed to grow as you watched him from afar. You would catch glimpses of the old him from time to time, which gave you hope that he was still in there.
Sophomore year, his attitude worsened, and he grew meaner to the people around him. News got around that his parents had divorced because his dad had been having an affair behind his mother’s back. It was also known she left town and now he was stuck with his father. He began to join in on the bullying, proving his new standing in school. During this time, you still watched him and searched for glimpses of the old Colby. They were becoming far and few.
Junior year, he started dating Paige Marcus, the IT girl of the school. All the boys wanted her and most of the girls wanted to be her. She was your personal tormentor and she had been for years. She’d taken a dislike to you in fourth grade, when you got the lead in the class play that year. That girl hated you more than anyone thought was possible.
It was a real heartbreak the first time you’d seen Colby and Paige walking hand in hand down the hallway. Your smile had faded, and you wanted to just cry. All over a boy who had never taken a notice to you. Especially because you were just some nerdy girl and he was now popular.
One day, you had been late to school, so you had to rush to get to class. As you ran through the hallway to get to class in time. You ran into Colby, literally. You collided hard with his built form, falling onto your ass.
Colby just simply looked down at you and laughed. “You should watch where you’re going, nerd.” He growled when anger flashed through his eyes.
Paige was hanging on his arm and glaring at you, as per usual. “Yeah loser, you really should watch where you’re going. My boyfriend didn’t need to be inconvenienced by you.” What was she? Colby’s parrot?
Paige laughed and kicked my books across the hallway. Colby laughed along with her, and pain flashed through my chest. “There better not be a next time.” He grumbled before stepping over you and walking away with Paige beside him.
Tears welled up in your eyes, misting up your glasses. You had been so embarrassed that day. You’d hoped it would end your crush on him, but it didn’t.
Senior year, Paige set out to personally destroy you at every chance she got. Colby was by her side each time, laughing along with her. That year was absolute hell for you. There was no escape from Paige’s wrath.
The worst day nearly broke you.
It was the middle of January and it had just snowed, making the town a frosty wasteland. There was a fire drill shortly after third period began and everyone was ushered out to the cold.
You stood with your class minding your own business when Paige approached you, dragging you from the other students. You’d struggled against her, not knowing why she had pulled you away.
“What do you want?” You asked while her nails dug into your arm.
“Just teaching you a lesson.” She said as you stopped next to a huge frozen snow bank.
“Why do you have to do this to me, Paige?” You questioned when she stole your glasses from your face. “No, give those back.” You attempted to reach for them, but the blurriness had taken over. As you were about to grab them, she threw them to her friend, Cassie. So you moved to get them from her, but she was keeping you from being able to retrieve them.
“Give me my glasses!” Your voice was loud because you were angry the snickering bitches had stolen them from you.
Suddenly, Cassie dropped them to the ground and stepped on them. A crunch could be heard as she ruined your chance for clear vision.
“Oops, my bad.” Cassie spoke while she continued to wreck your glasses.
“Stop! Why are you doing this?” Tears had begun to gather in your already blurry eyes.
“Oh look, we have a cry baby on our hands.” Paige taunted before pushing you towards the ground.
Your left hand went out to catch you, making contact with the frozen ground before your body weight came crashing down onto it. A sharp pain shot through your wrist, making you cry out as the pain hit. Paige and Cassie were just cracking up the whole time.
The world was blurry around you as you lifted your hand from the ground. Pain radiated through your arm, starting from your wrist.
“What are you guys doing?” A familiar voice cut through the two girls’ laughter. It was Colby and you were afraid he was here to join in on the torture.
“Oh baby, we were just teaching Y/n a lesson.” Paige answered in a supposedly sweet voice, but anyone could hear the venom hidden in her words.
“By breaking her glasses and hurting her?” He suddenly sounded mad.
“It’s just a joke.” Paige tried to sound like it wasn’t as big problem.
“Hurting people isn’t a joke, Paige!” He was yelling now. Then he was beside you, bending down to your level. “Are you okay, Y/n?” You couldn’t really see him all that clearly, but you could tell he was looking at the wrist you were clutching to your chest.
“No, it hurts a lot.” You whimpered as the pain continued to shoot through your arm.
“Okay, let’s get you to the nurse.” He was gentle as he helped you up from the ground.
“Why are you helping her?” Paige was now frustrated.
“She needs help.” He stated as he bent down to pick up your broken glasses from the ground.
“She’s not one of us, Colby, just leave her alone.”
“No, get out of the way.” He pushed by her and Cassie while leading you towards the school. The fire drill was over at this point.
It was quiet between the two of you as he led you through the hallway full of students who were headed back to class.
“Thank you for helping me.” You said to Colby, in a soft voice.
“Don’t mention it. Paige is a bitch a she needs to be put in her place.” He spoke as you walked into the nurses office. Once again, you had seen a glimpse of the old Colby which only proved to you that he was still in there.
You ended up having to go to the hospital, much to your mothers dismay. It was a serious inconvenience for her to leave work to take you to the hospital. She practically yelled the whole drive there. Your broken glasses were another yelling point for her. At the hospital, it was determined your wrist had been broken, which only angered her further. Not that any of it had been your fault, but she claimed you’d been the one to evoke the girls in the first place. Your mother and you weren’t particularly close.
After that incident, Paige and Colby had called it quits and Paige blamed you, of course. The rest of your senior year was pure hell for you, thanks to Paige and her friends.
You were more than happy to get away from there, luckily. You had received a scholarship to a college three hours away and your father’s house was twenty minutes from it, so you stayed with him. College was lonely for you, though. Because you weren’t all that great at making new friends and your father was always away for work, or on vacation with his new wife. A wife who didn’t like you much either.
Throughout it all, your crush on Colby never once faded. You didn’t know if it ever would.
****
10 years from the time you first began to like Colby, you were returning back to your mother’s house. You’d graduated from college and found a job close to her place, and thankfully she was letting you come back. You promised yourself you wouldn’t be there long before you found a place for yourself. You couldn’t help but to feel nervous about being back at her home. It would bring back memories of high school and Colby, but you highly doubted that he still lived in town.
You pulled into your mother’s driveway, staring at the sage green house in front of you. You’d grown up in this house. Your father had once lived in this house with you. The house held so many memories for you. Good and bad.
Sighing, you finally got out of the car and grabbed your bags from the back. You slowly made your way to the front door and let yourself into the house. Immediately, the aroma of cooking food filled your nostrils. Odd. Your mother hated to cook. You put your bags by the stairs and went to the kitchen. You found your mother standing in front of the stove wearing a blue dress. She never wore dresses.
“Hi mom.” You said getting her attention.
She turned around with a huge smile. “Hello honey. How was the drive back?” She had abandoned the stove to pull you into a hug.
“The drive was fine. What are you dressed up for?”
“Oh honey, I’m so excited. I’ve been seeing this man for a few months now and I’ve invited him and his son to dinner to welcome you home.”
This surprised you. Your mother had never successfully dated since your father left her.
“Yes okay, wow. Congrats mom. I look forward to meeting them.” You honestly were.
“I think you will like him, and his son is about your age and just a sweet young man.”
“Well I’m happy for you.”
“Thank you baby. You should go get settled in. They will be here in about an hour.” She then sent you off towards the stairs. The person you were just talking to was definitely not the person she was before you left for college. You purposely didn’t come home to visit all that often because you were afraid of who you would come home to.
After a quick shower, you sat at your counter to do your makeup. You were happy that you no longer had to wear glasses, because two years ago, your dad had gifted you laser surgery as a sorry for never being around. He still wasn’t around after that though, but you learned to expect that from him. After he left, you weren’t really much of a thought in his head.
You decided on a nice purple dress of yours and a pair of flat black booties for your feet and left your room. When you were halfway down the stairs, the doorbell went off.
“Y/n, could you get that?” Your mother asked from the kitchen.
“Yes.” You said, stopping in front of the door.
You flung open the door, instantly panicking as you saw who was on the other side. Colby Brock beside an older man, that must be his father. Your mom was dating his dad.
“Hello, come on in.” You moved out of the way so they could enter the house. Colby’s eyes were glued to you, which sent chills through your body. Oh god, tonight was going to be hell.
Your mother exited the kitchen and pulled Colby’s dad into a kiss. You grimaced and turned away from the scene. “Y/n sweetie, I want you to meet John Brock and his son Colby.” She introduced the men to you.
“I went to high school with Colby.” Colby was way hotter than you remember him being. He was sexy, tall, and muscular. He had this really sexy dyed blue hair upon his head. The man was perfect.
“Oh really? Do you remember her being so clumsy in high school? Her senior year, she broke both her glasses and wrist all in one day.” Your mother’s words made you blush in pure embarrassment.
“If I remember correctly, Y/n had her glasses stolen before she was pushed into a snowbank. So it wasn’t her fault.” Colby defended you, shocking you.
“Oh, looks like you had a friend in high school, Y/n.” You face grew red now.
“I think dinner is done. I’m going to go set the table.” You quickly dismissed yourself and ran off to the kitchen to grab the plates and silverware. You desperately hoped your mom wasn’t going to keep embarrassing you throughout dinner.
You were setting up the plates when your mother entered the room, followed by Colby and his father. You idly wondered if Colby had a girlfriend.  He had to have a girlfriend with how sexy he was.
“Thank you, Y/n. Can you grab the food for us?” She questioned while already being seated next to John.
“I’ll help you.” Colby said while following you into the kitchen. “How are you doing, Y/n?” He questioned.
You pulled the food from the oven and set it on the stove. “I’m alright. Not too thrilled to be back at my moms, but it’s okay.”
“I know what you mean. Living with my dad is hard. But I haven’t seen him much since he’s been seeing your mom.”
You began to put the other food into bowls for the two of you to carry. “How long have they been dating?” Your mother never said a length of time, only that she was dating someone.
“I’m not too sure, but I know it’s been over six months.”
“She kept it a secret from me.” You concluded. To be honest, it hurt that she kept something that big from you.
“My dad is the same, but he’s been that way all my life. I found out about his affair from someone at school. So that should tell you everything you need to know.”
That was rough. “I’m sorry, Colby.”
He just shrugged. “I’m over it now.” But you didn’t know if he was, but you weren’t going to push him.
The both of you carried the food into the dining room, where your mom and his dad were deep in conversation. The two of them looked up when you entered the room. You placed the food onto the table and took your seats, which happened to be right next to each other. Your mom and his dad were on one side and you and Colby were on the other.
You were still in shock that your crush was right here in front of you. You were double shocked that your mom was dating his dad. How in the world did that happen?
“It’s good to have you home, Y/n.” Your mom said as you started to plate the food.
“Thanks mom. It’s good to be home.” You didn’t know how truthful she was being though because the two of you haven’t gotten along for all of your life. She’s blamed you for your dad leaving and treated you like crap for it.
Dinner went on like that, with idle conversation and moments of silence. Truth be told, it was awkward as hell. You kept stealing glances at Colby, to find him pushing his food around before he would glance your way as well. You would always look away while a light blush appeared on your face.
“Alright kids, now that we have finished dinner, we wanted to talk to you about something.” John said once all the plates had been cleared.
“Sure.” Colby said, while you just nodded.
“We wanted to take a family vacation, so we can get to know each other’s family. So we booked a vacation to Boca Raton for a week.” Your mom said catching the two of you off guard.
“Oh, okay. But you know I have a job to start, right?” You stated.
“Yes sweetie, I know your job doesn’t start until next month and we leave in two days.”
“Great.” Colby’s voice was void of emotions. Like you, he wasn’t thrilled about your parents attempts to mesh the families together.
“You don’t sound too thrilled about this, Colby.” John noticed.
“I’m not. I’m being forced to get to know your new girlfriend and her daughter when I would rather not be involved. It’s not going to go anywhere, just liked the rest of them. You will probably cheat again.”
His words were harsh, but you could definitely see where he was coming from. But you couldn’t help but feel he had a dislike for you simply because your mom was dating his dad.
“That’s where you are wrong. I love Susanne and we are going to make this work whether you like it or not.” John was defensive against his moody son.
“Whatever you say. Are we finished here? I have somewhere to be.” He pushed his chair from the table and got up.
“I’m sorry, Sue, I don’t know where he got the attitude from. I promise he will be better on the trip.” You just rolled my eyes and stood up and started gathering the empty plates. Your mother followed John and Colby out while you started to clean up.
You were washing the dishes, when your mother entered the kitchen behind you.
“So Y/n, did you like John?” She questioned while you glanced over at her.
“I don’t know him enough to know whether I do or not.” You said truthfully.
“Well you should like him. He makes me happy and I’m in love with him.”
A sick feeling formed in your stomach.
“How long have you two been dating?” You needed to know how long she kept it a secret from you.
“Ten months.”
“You kept it a secret from me for 10 months!” You raised your voice as the anger took over. You put the sponge down and turned to face her.
“Yes, we didn’t talk much, and I didn’t think it was that big of a thing to keep from you. Besides, you were busy with college and whatever else you were doing at your fathers, I didn’t want to bother you.”
Her excuse was pure bullshit to you. “Save the shitty excuse and admit you didn’t think about telling me.” You growled turning away from her.
“What? No honey, why would you think that. You’re my daughter and you mean a lot to me.”
Once again you faced her, “I mean a lot to you? That’s a fucking lie. You blamed me all my life for my father leaving you, but you didn’t stop to think about that fact that he left me too. You made my life hell because you weren’t happy with yours. What kind of mother does that?”
She just laughed it off. “You’re overexaggerating it. Now finish the dishes, I’m going to relax.” Before you could say another word, she was out the door.
****
Two days later, you were sitting in an airport, with Colby beside you and both your parents in some seats across from you. Both of you were equally unhappy to be here, while both parents acted like lovebirds. It was honestly gross to watch.
“Holy fuck, do they ever stop.” You groaned, taking your eyes away from them.
“Nope, they are constantly all over each other.” Colby stated looking down at his phone. “You seem angry.” He noticed.
“I am.” You grumbled, thinking about the conversation you had with your mother the other day. Like always, she managed to make you feel like shit instead of acknowledging her wrong doings.
“What did she do?” His focus was now strictly on you.
“She didn’t think telling me about her new boyfriend was important. She practically admitted to forgetting I existed once I was out of the house. Growing up with her as my mother was hell and she has never once apologized for the shit she did to me. For years, she blamed me for her and my fathers divorce. I was 4 when they divorced.” You said making sure your voice was low, so she wouldn’t hear it.
Colby was silent for a little while. “That’s horrible. What kind of mother blames their child for a divorce?”
“Mine apparently. Now she wants to suddenly act like it didn’t happen.”
“Well I think that’s bullshit. I can see right through them, you know. They are just using each other for company. My father has never been able to be faithful, every woman he has dated were all just an excuse to have some fun. He also resents my mom for moving on from him and marrying someone whose better to her.”
“That’s fucked.”
“You’re telling me. My father is immune to commitment.”
“We have some fucked up parents.” He nodded and sent a glare to both your parents who were giggling to themselves.
The flight was called shortly after that, so the two of you followed your parents onto the plane. Colby and you were going to be sitting next to complete strangers, while your parents snuggled up together. It was not fun. Your flight was annoying, because the middle-aged man beside you kept checking you out and trying to talk to you, despite you politely telling him you weren’t interested in conversing. It was complete hell.
Arriving in Boca Raton was a godsend because you couldn’t stand being next to this guy anymore. The last half hour of the flight, he spent it trying to guess your name and persuade your number out of you. You were seconds away from punching him, but luckily the plane landed, and you were able to get out of there quickly. Colby sent you a look as you exited the plane, you just grumbled under your breath.
“Well that flight was wonderful, wasn’t it kids?” Your mother asked as John waited for the luggage to come around.
“Fuck no. That was the worst flight I have ever taken.” You said, holding your anger back.
“Oh sweetie, lighten up. We’re on vacation.” Her words sparked even more anger.
“The old guy next to me kept hitting on me and wouldn’t shut the fuck up the whole flight.”
“Watch your language.” Was all she said before she strolled up to stand beside John.
Colby just chuckled from beside you. You sent him a glare and walked away from the group. You didn’t want to be here with them. You didn’t want to spend a whole week with your mom and her boyfriend that you knew nothing about. You didn’t want to spend the whole week pining over Colby when you knew he would never like you the way you liked him. He and you were still in completely different circles and he liked his women blonde and gorgeous. You were anything but that. Okay maybe you’re pretty, but you still thought of yourself as the nerd from high school and you didn’t doubt he did as well.
John and your mother ushered all of you to a rental car, and you were off to the hotel. Colby and you were in the back, silently sitting beside each other. He was on his phone, probably talking to a girlfriend or something.
“Oh, I almost forgot. John upgraded his and I’s room to a suite, but you and Colby will be sharing a regular room.” Your mother said with a huge smile on her face.
“That’s great.” Colby grumbled from beside you, voicing your thoughts out loud.
“Don’t sound so sad. It will be good for you to get to know each other.” John stated sternly, showing authority over Colby.
“Sure, whatever.” Colby said under his breath. you hid your smirk from his words. He nudged your side when he saw that.
You were nervous as hell now. You would be sharing a room with Colby. The man you’ve had a crush on for nearly 10 years. This was going to be one hell of an experience; you were sure of it.
The car pulled up to the hotel, which was this huge building that looked like it had been here for a while. It was beautiful and right on the beach as well. It was surely a resort and perhaps it wouldn’t be a horrible place to stay. But your nerves were still on edge about this whole vacation. Your moms attachment to Colby’s dad scared you.
Colby and you were given the keycards to the room before your parents left both of you alone to fend for yourselves. Honestly, their behavior was disgusting to you.
“Let’s get to our room I guess.” Colby grumbled, picking up his suitcase and heading towards the elevators in the opposite direction of where our parents had gone. You quickly grabbed yours and followed after him.
The two of you stepped into a gold-plated elevator and he hit the eighth floor, where your room was located. You felt like he was resenting you, because he would have to spend the whole week with you.
“I’m sorry that you have to stay with me.” You mumbled as the elevator moved up floor by floor.
The angry scowl left his face as he glanced towards you. “No, I don’t mind staying with you. I’m mad at our parents for just springing all of this onto us last minute.”
You let out a sigh of relief when he said this. You really thought he hated you or something.
“Oh, I thought you hated me.” You admitted while looking towards the carpeted floor of the elevator.
“I don’t hate you, Y/n. I haven’t ever really hated you, even when I was dating Paige.” His words surprised you.
“Really? Then why was I treated like crap when you dated her?” There was no way he didn’t hate you then.
“Because Paige was always a huge bitch and blackmailed me into treating you that way.”
“Oh, well it’s okay then.”
He shook his head. “It’s not okay at all really. I should have never done some of the things I have done. But I was horrible in high school after my parents’ divorce.”
“Well it’s good to know you didn’t and don’t hate me. Also, don’t blame yourself for the way you acted as a result of the divorce. It was traumatic to you and you only did what helped you feel better.”
“I guess so. I wish I could take so much back.”
“That’s impossible, but you can continue to be a better person from now into the future.” It wasn’t good that he was beating himself up over the past.
He sent you a kind smile. “You’re right. Thank you for that, Y/n.”
You sent him a smile as well. “No problem. Now, should we get this vacation started?” You questioned as the two of you stopped in front of the door to the room.
Colby opened the door and the two of you entered the room. It was a surprisingly nice room for it being a regular room. There was two queen sized beds, covered in crème sheets and comfy looking pillows. There was a decently sized sitting area with a nice flat screen TV. The bathroom was gorgeous, with a huge, jetted tub and a beautiful walk-in shower. The best part was the private balcony we had that overlooked the beautiful blue ocean. Staying here wasn’t going to be so bad.
“This is way nicer than I expected.” He spoke your thoughts.
“Yes, I agree. But this is an upscale hotel.” You stated as you set your bags down on one of the two beds. The beds looked so comfy, you wanted to just take a nap at the moment.
“True.” He answered when his phone went off. He was silent as he checked it. “Our parents want us to meet up in the Lobby at 7 for dinner.” His voice was flat when he mentioned the parents.
“Oh great. Well, that means there’s time for a nap.” You moved your bags from the bed and pulled your shoes off. You pulled back the covers and got into the comfy bed. Your body was in bliss the minute you laid down on the bed. It was absolutely perfect. Your eyes grew heavy as soon as your head hit the pillow. The nap was much needed.
