*sigh* thoughts on Nintendo's botw/totk timeline shenanigans and tomfoolery?

tbh. my maybe-unpopular opinion is that the timeline is only important when a game's place on the timeline seriously informs the way their narrative progresses. the problem is that before botw we almost NEVER got games where it didn't matter. it matters for skyward sword because it's the beginning, and it matters for tp/ww/alttp (and their respective sequels) because the choices the hero of time makes explicitly inform the narrative of those games in one way or another. it matters which timeline we're in for those games because these cycles we're seeing are close enough to oot's cycle that they're still feeling the effects of his choices. botw, however, takes place at minimum 10 thousand years after oot, so its place on the timeline actually functionally means nothing. botw is completely divorced from the hero of time & his story, so what he does is a nonissue in the context of botw link and zelda's story. thus, which timeline botw happens in is a nonissue. honestly I kind of liked the idea that it happened in all of them. i think there's a cool idea of inevitability that can be played with there. but the point is that the timeline exists to enhance and fill in the lore of games that need it, and botw/totk don't really need it because the devs finally realized they could make a game without the hero of time in it.

Hey friends! I want to give everyone an update.

So as some of you know my grandfather fell and broke his hip right after healing from a broken neck. He was one of our main sources of income and got sent to a rehab.

Unfortunately the way his hip broke he won't be able to walk again which means he has to stay in a nursing home permanently.

His insurance and SSI doesn't cover all of it and bills at home are piling up from him being gone. So now we have to pay our usual bills on top of his nursing home.

So I'm asking if you can donate anything at all, or even just reblog this I'd be forever grateful.

Theft of an artist's work is always inexcusable, if you hate people for tracing and claiming the work as their own, then AI """"Art"""" is to be viewed as a million times worse.

It is a machine that can only create poor imitations with blatant errors, even the nicer more advanced pieces lack soul, you can always tell by looking into the eyes of a piece.

To steal from one artist without credit is disgusting, to steal from millions at once to create something infinitely inferior than what any one of them could do in twenty minutes?

As a human being with basic morals, I am opposed to it on a fundamental basis.

As an artist, its attempts to devalue my efforts absolutely disgust me.

lord its so dark in here the sahara desert of tsaritsa content you are like a shining oasis. your characterisation of her compels me & mihoyo would be hard pressed to top it imo.!! caaaaan i humbly request yr thoughts on her first meeting w a reader of any kind, or maybe even multiple kinds (sagau, sagau god au, isekai, etc) if you so desire...

it really is like a desert here. being the fan of a character we aren't getting until the last damn nation is driving me up a wall but i will persevere bc if nothing else i support morally bankrupt women in media. we r in a severe drought over here but i do my best. unfortunately nothing i say is ever coherent so pull out your translation notes its abt 2 be messy

also this got out of hand but thats bc first meetings w the tsaritsa are tricky to write + a LOT of her characterization lies in deeper exploration then just surface level yknow...NOT A DIG AT YOU this is just my excuse for rambling. gently pats the tsaritsa she can hold so much complexity i do not have the word count to delve into it completely :]

gonna talk cult au for a bit here though because that's 99% of my content. and honestly? she thrives in sub au's of the cult au like villain au + imposter au. it's basically made for her. i mean, early days, the imposter au had been going around for a little while but one of the first few ideas was the Fatui taking reader in so like. it kinda technically actually was. pretty sure cult au Tsaritsa popped up because of the imposter au. a lot of it's writers kinda left though which. man am i getting old or.

anyway.

there isn't much of a chance her first impression is all that positive. at best it's usually neutral, imo, but rarely if ever positive. specifically because i view the Tsaritsa as someone who isn't as fanatical as most of the acolytes typically are towards the creator. she's not exactly going to worship the ground you walk on unlike a certain geo lizard. which is partially why i think she thrives in the sub au's i mentioned.

imposter au, for example. she meets you at your lowest. there's no gaudy extravagance or pampering from the acolytes waiting for you because your own acolytes have turned on you. for all intents and purposes you aren't a "god" at all. which is why i don't think she meshes well with normal cult au reader. the Fatui are made up of outcasts, basically, and imposter au slots right in just perfectly. you're weak, at your lowest, when you meet the Fatui in the imposter au. and the Fatui can help you, too.

a mutual exchange, really. the Tsaritsa sees a tool she can use to one up the rest of the nations and especially Archons, and she has no qualms about you using her and the Fatui in turn. you both want something out of it, after all. whether you just want to be safe from the rest of the acolytes, or you want revenge, or whatever else..she'll give you the power to fulfill it, and she gains the strongest piece on the chessboard when all is said and done.

the best way i can describe the first meeting is "practical", i suppose. she sees an opportunity in you. the ultimate gamble. because if she "saves" you, and you dont trust anyone else because they tried to kill you, well..she holds all the cards, doesn't she?

but the Tsaritsa, imo, is just as capable of being just as fanatical towards you as anyone else. she just won't worship you as the creator. but as yourself? clawing your way back to your divine power and taking back what belongs to you? the Tsaritsa is, to me, a character who's character flourishes in long-term fics more because she changes a LOT between "just met reader" and after having been with reader for some time. she's practically apathetic at the beginning but a lot of her character, in my characterization, shines through LONG after the first meeting.

I have to say, there's two roads to go down with this concept, and it's either a) human Jason who comes across a wild cat casually hanging out in Tim's apartment and goes 'guess I'm a furry. We learn something new about ourselves every day' Tim is mildly embarrassed to be caught napping, but Jason's clearly trying so hard to be calm and casual and cool and chill about it - after Tim shifts back (NAKED--) Jason throws his jacket to him and moves his ass and his groceries and his initial panic to the kitchen and throws together a protein-heavy breakfast (bobcats are mostly carnivorous, right? Right???).

He's carrying a mostly normal conversation for them from around the corner, but his voice is up an octave, so what's Tim supposed to do about his hot crush walking in on his secret, lending his clothes, and making him breakfast but pad in there and hug his waist and start purring against his back? He didn't have any other option, clearly

OR b) werewolf Jason whose nose immediately outs Tim as some kind of werecat and they have a visceral reaction to each other at first that only fed into their initial bad impressions of each other OwO even after Jason cools off a bit from his initial return to Gotham, the running gag in the fam is that they fight like cats and dogs (hyuk hyuk)

Cue blindingly hot belligerent sexual tension that boils over into an insane, animalistic bang sesh that one time they're stuck on the same mission together and one or both of them can't control their shift or their instincts are so tripped that they need an outlet for the ants under their skin and the heat in their bellies and it turns out a chase is just the cure they've both been craving ÒwÓ or something idk ahaha *twirls my hair about canine teeth in the side of Tim's neck

Oh god its kills me how I want to draw the whole thing out, and maybe one day? But honestly I don't think it will happen any time soon if at all soooo...

The story is that between the first and second page, Danny is unknowingly dipped into another dimension where instead of going thru the portal w/ Sam and Tucker behind him, he went in alone. This alternate version of him didn't tell anyone about his powers and after the first fight he had he decided he was too much of a risk and ran away. Thus Sam and Tucker telling *our* Danny he's been missing for two years. (so theyre 16 here)

The comic would cover Danny trying to pass as this other Danny, him meeting the other Danny, and trying to get back to his dimension. Its suppose to be very touching and heartfelt yada yada I have the first chapter sketched out but its like 20 pages and he hasn't even met the other danny yet 😭

This is the title part I made. The name comes from a twilight zone episode that I thought fit rlly well. I've also posted a lot of concept art like floor plans and shit cuz I *needs* that stuff when I'm making comics.

also had another comic idea that I'll never get to where a villain starts turning ghosts into horrible monster creatures and Danny gets turned into one, which is suppose to be much spookier but still fun.

I'm gonna give myself some more time to see how feasible it would be to make the comics and if not I will probs shit out all my brain splatters about it onto tumblr :p Thank you so much for asking about it 🥺👉👈

my friend roisin animediac jaywalkers has once made a list of all of the physical consequences of the nest on kevin and it was so so so so fucked... it's crazy to think kevin will spend his whole trying to outrun that damage and it will not be enough....... i always think of him when i listen to the body terror song by ajj

just found this in my inbox lol, im sorry for answering this late! but my favorite one piece moment is post marineford, when luffy is crushed about losing ace, but then is reminded that he still has so much to live for - 

to me it really embodies what one piece is all about to me. it’s about adventure, about freedom, about justice, but above all it’s about the power of friendship, as cheesy as it sounds. luffy’s dream may be to become the pirate king, but the most important thing to him in the world by far is his friends.

The secret to good school is good funding. One day, I dream of a world where all schools have options for their children. Personally, I think it's pretty important for that sort of thing to start out early. See if you're actually into that think BEFORE you're 100k in debt and hating your life.

My area has some awesome architecture. One time, I wanted to do a project on it, and my teacher said it was too complicated. I cried, like genuinely left that class, found a place to sit down, and just cried. The buildings were pretty, and I wanted to talk about them. I really do love the amount of thought put into those buildings. The people who made them are dead, but their art is still there. A bunch of dudes 100 years ago sat down and designed this theater. Then more came in and built it. And here I am, sitting there.

Architecture is so awesome in the way that it's interactive. It can survive longer than any human.

definitely!! being able to explore interests before you gotta choose one for your career is soso important i rlly wish i got to try out some more shit before i had to settle on smth

also sameee my city has a lot of old architecture (especially my school. some of the buildings are falling apart but they're very old and very pretty) and im like just in awe of it like architecture is an art but it's more than an art because unlike a lot of art it's not just something to look at it's somewhere someone lives or works or goes with friends and makes memories like a lot of art doesnt have a practical function but architecture does and it serves as a setting for so much of people's lives and that's really impactful and so awesome because there's architecture everywhere and it's all so beautiful *dreamy sigh*

also sucks that ur teacher sucked i hate when teachers/profs won't let you do projects on what ur passionate abt like passion is the basis of learning why aren't u supporting that....
