I do!!! Letters, numbers, and words all have colours and sometimes visual textures for me-- and while numbers and letters on their own are generally only a single colour (7 is a bright, grassy green!!! while "K" is a pale peachy pink, for example :] ), when i put them into words they often take on entirely new colours, some of which even bleed into each other like watercolour paints. Ironically, its why i use the UK spelling of "colour" in the first place-- the "u" turns what looks like a dull, desaturated blue into a smeared blue-and-purple that i find really pretty to look at :]] so when i say i like to paint with words, i kinda mean that literally 😂😂😂😂😂

But yeah, i'd imagine thats why my writing is Like That™ to some degree-- a lot of what im doing behind the scenes involves matching the colours and visual textures of a given word with all of the others in order to evoke a particular vibe or image in my writing. There are a lot of layers to how i write, but this is probably the one that takes both the most time AND is the one i happen to talk about the least WKDJWKSJEJ

Okok I know I draw Hikari like all the time but like… I need to be honest with you all….

Red is actually the least fun color to render.

not bad i think. the light pink hibiscus and petal of the same shade are not great looking but i'm not sure why and the flower is still sticky but otherwise dry? not sure what to do... the stems dried better than i expected, they're not as fragile as you'd think. i love the hellebores, exactly what i wanted them to be like. the choisya/mexican oranges are sooo cute, there's a very faint scent from them. the leaves look exactly the same. the purple pansy is basically perfect in my heart. something fucky happened with the iris petal literally all the color leached into the paper and now it's transparent?? did not expect it to have so much water and this didn't happen with anything else. the dark hibiscus dried really good, their colors are still bright but bc of the shape of the flowers they look a little weird i did struggle trying to arrange them.. the dogwood looks good too, the veins of the flower rlly pop and it looks a lot better than the other pale pink petals? same with that other big flower on the same page. i forget what it was though. it might be because the petals are less fleshy. pink pansy is falling apart im soo sad but i can probably... glue... idk. those smaller flowers in the corner are a bit fragile im scared to move them but they're pretty!! they were kinda old and falling apart already when i picked them so i had to manually arrange the petals around the core but they're staying so far. now i just gotta figure out what to do with all of these. i want to make pngs!! make cards!! im gonna see what's blooming still tmrw!!

it's an inside joke with myself that Dark and Chosen learned / made up / found my secret code, --|"/,'\_|-•/_' , and that's just how they talk now by default. either to mess with people, for privacy, or just that they didn't feel like learning other languages...

and then i stumbled upon @nesiclor's AvA:NO and one of(?!?! so many questions- i am excited to see where this goes! it's wicked cool thus far \o/) its languages (example from last July) and... ideas happened.

something about different types of stickfigures' code consisting of different proportions of --|"/,'\_|-•/_' ... with connections to '/|..'L'_'||-• '/-|L'-_[,- ... involving the unique dialects its original writers had ... many ideas!

a bit of hcs about the Internet/Desktop environment, a bit of biology, a bit of psychology, a little in and a little out of canon, etc. etc.

this all culminated in a jumble of notes fic exploring a scenario where when Second meets CG in AvA IV, they don't understand him at first: his speech sounds kind of like hard drive whirring and error beeps.

but then, pop! he acclimates to how the others are speaking. that's convenient. everyone forgets it ever happened. think that scene in WALL-E when EVE tries out a bunch of languages before finding one that works. or little kids working out how to talk to one another easily because they're so good at language acquisition...

...until the chosen one returns, you could say,
