Okok I know I draw Hikari like all the time but like… I need to be honest with you all….
Red is actually the least fun color to render.

I SAID IT.#Okay look.#orange is just reddish shadow and yellow highlights#yellow follows the same rules as orange#green has blue shadows and yellow highlights#purple is fun because you can have very blue shadows and very pink highlights and it still reads as purple#blue is REALLY fun because you can. NEVER go wrong with blue-#red???#wtf do you do with RED??#like yeah you gotta do cooler shadows and warmer highlights but.#ffs every time I pick a shadow my brain reads it as too purple/pink to be a shade of red#and whenever I pick a highlight it’s like. no this shit is orange???#and yeah it looks fine in the end but you REALLY have to trust the process-#idk!! is anyone else with me on this?!?!?!#AM I JUST BAD AT THE COLOR RED???#also I get headaches when I stare at the color red for too long so maybe that’s why lmao
