You know, even with all the power suits, I'm still convinced this is the gayest thing Alex Cabot ever wore

So one thing led to the other and suddenly I drew @laiostoudenn's tav Othello and Voradras, together with their respective Gales on vacation in Calimshan.

Backstory and details under cut!

So it all started when Othello's Gale opened a portal and Voradras and his Gale stumbled into their kitchen in Waterdeep. After a lot of initial confusion the group got to know each other, realising a portal between their different realities had been opened. A steadfast friendship developed between Voradras and Othello, and they promised to visit each other again soon. And that they did. Alternating between universes they met often, teaching each other parts of their cultures and visiting places together with their Gales. At one point Othello mentioned that he had never been to a proper beach before, so after some research, Voradras had the idea for the group to head down to Calimshan, to the Shining Sea for a couple's vacation. It's been great fun for everyone, though Voradras slightly underestimated the power of the sun so far down south.

What do you think would be his favorite dishes and drinks?

I'm basing this on nothing, but I think he likes traditional japanese food, and especially the sweets! like stuff with anko, and he's excited for the sweet potato season. every time he travels, he must try the regional speciality treats (meibutsu), like the yatsuhashi from Kyoto in the picture.

for drinks I'll throw a curveball: he doesn't really like matcha. it goes well enough with namagashi and he drinks it when offered, but it's not his drink of choice. he likes his sweets so maybe his drinks aren't too sweet, like pressed juices and flavored waters? (I don't know what those kinds of drinks are called, are they just vitamin waters or flavored sparkling waters? that have some flavor but aren't sweet like sodas)

aaand does sharing food count as feeding? when they go to eat or have a snack, Hiroto always picks a different one from Midorikawa so he can have a taste too. (and just because I can: Midorikawa's taiyaki has anko filling with vanilla/black sesame ice cream, and Hiroto has custard filling with white chocolate ice cream)
