F1 Drivers As Desi Boys
A.K.A. The F1 grid as Indian guys
Also, I will be writing an entire chatfic about this AU on ao3, so stay tuned ;)
Charles Leclerc — “Charlie”
I think he would be from Mumbai. But like, he lived in the very high-end part of it so it's very hard to know right off the bat.
I just KNOW he studied abroad, okay? Italy or Canada I think. Look at his face— you just know he's the kinda guy people see on the street and think “angrej”
Speaks Hindi with a subtle but insufferable white guy accent. He can't even help it, that's just how he speaks. He once called Max “bhenchod” with the most authentic, desi accent when he was mad and they have all beaches in that high ever since.
Dropped out of university in his last year and came back to India to handle his dad's business after his dad's death.
Fell in love with the hot employee and made him the manager. Everyone knows Carlos got the position by sleeping with the new young hot boss but they stay silent to avoid getting fired.
Now lives in the same complex in Mumbai as Carlos, Max, Lando and others. Lives with his mother, two brothers and a dog.
Leo is a recurring guest in every society event no matter what. Shanta aunty ki kitty party? He's invited. Children playing cricket below? He is the referee. Security guard's dad died? Arthi Leo hi utha raha hai.
Best friends with Pierre. went to the same school as him in his childhood.
Not friendly at ALL with Max.
Carlos Sainz— “Mirchi”
Marathi Mulga for sure
Maula Mere Maula king of guy
His ass should be in a TV serial
Was a regular office worker before he fucked down his boss and now he's the manager. And, well, a win is a win, right?
His parents were kind of homophobic before he became the manager. It's hilarious, actually.
He has such a good voice. If you catch him singing one of the old bollywood songs of Lata Mangeshkar or Muhammad Rafi, consider yourself blessed by the gods.
Knows how to cook since he lives alone
Literally the guy every aunty dreams of marrying their daughter to. Manager of his office. Cooks. Cleans. Respects his elders. Funny. Charming. Every time he and Charles go out at least one middle aged person has asked Carlos if he's married yet and frankly, as his boyfriend who's Right There, Charles is pretty offended.
Have y'all seen the pictures of him in those button up shirts and trousers? The eyes that make Rahat Fateh Ali Khan songs play in your ear every time you look into them? So desi husband material
Best friends with Lando, basically brothers with his they are with each other
Like any best friend, he does NOT like Lando's boyfriend
Max Verstappen— “JATT DON'T CARE 💪🔥💯”
From Haryana
The M in Max stands for Mharo Balam Thanedar Chalawe Gypsy— jkjk
Some say he's aggressive, hot headed, quick tempered; some say he's just Haryanvi.
Is in a psychosexual homoerotic rivalry with Charles and is in denial because of his internalised homophobia.
His dad and Charles’ dad were business partners and now they're always wanting to one up another in the family businesses.
Talking about his father— his dad is very rich and also a typical Haryanvi dad. Bapu sehat ke liye haanikarak type shit.
His father made him do kushti when he was younger and Charles still teases him about it
Will randomly infodump about his father whenever the opportunity presents itself
Married
With how he usually is and what his childhood was like, you'd think he'd be a horrible father but you're WRONG
Everyone loves his daughter Prithvi, or P, for short.
They love spoiling her. Every year on her birthday she gets so many gifts it takes her two days just to open them.
Funnily enough, she once “betrayed” him by saying her favourite was Charlie Uncle.
I just think it would be so funny if he drove a Toyota Fortuner.
Lando Norris— “Lassan 🧄”
From Bangalore
Youtuber. Makes videos for every one of his channels religiously. Has a channel for gaming, another for vlogs, another for shorts and somehow manages them all while uploading reels and posting on Instagram???
He's a university student but nobody knows it because he's always posting videos so they just think he's a full time youtuber
“Shares a room” with Oscar, who is his boyfriend, by the way. You'd never guess. (that is a fucking lie. If you watch even one of his livestreams you'd know that they have explored each other's bodies. He's always “dekho guys Oscar aa gaya 😄😄😄” bro you're not fooling anyone)
Has his own merchandise. His designs are always so cool that they sell out before they're properly out.
Will probably make his own content team when he graduates
He once slipped on the desi toilet while travelling and Carlos made a reel about it. It is one of his most famous reels and Lando will absolutely ignore you if you talk about it.
Kinda fuckboyish???? Like he gives off the vibes of the kinda boy that only texts you past midnight and says shit like “what are you wearing? ;)” Like thank god he has a boyfriend or he would single handedly destroy the faith in love of every girl in a 5 kilometre radius
Oscar Piastri— “gora pakora”
From Goa
Frequently shows up on Lando's videos and livestreams
Studying engineering and living with Lando, basically taking care of him because of course he is
Regular victim of Lando's youtube shenanigans. Gets pranked one too many times every other day.
Has this kind of dead stare where he's just 😐 until Lando comes and annoys (see: kisses or pranks) him
Gets asked “bhai tu kabhi kuch bolta kyu nahi hai” so frequently he should just write “pata nahi yaar” on his face.
Has strong beef with Carlos. Do not talk about that man in front of him. Now this is really inconvenient because Carlos is Lando's bEsT FrIeNd iN tHe WoRlD
There beef started when Lando cried because he missed Oscar and Carlos showed up to Oscar's parents house asking him to square the fuck up. His parents —poor them they don't even know their son is gay— were left to wonder why their son was on a video call with his roommate OUTSIDE in the middle of winter vacation while a strange man cussed him the fuck out.
Lando can and will and DOES make him do silly dance trends with him on Instagram reels
Best friend is Logan, who studies engineering with him. You don't know how much you can depend on someone else until you're an IISER student and they're the only good friend you have.
Daniel Ricciardo— “Paaji”
From Chandigarh
Y'all remember Sodhi from Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma? Yeah. Him.
No one knows how he's able to control Max. Literally his best friend. Max will always have a resting bitch face but when Danny paaji is there he's all “😆😆😂😂🤣🤣” like bro 😐
I just know he would randomly say “oye balle balle balle balle balle” for no reason other than to annoy people. I just know it.
Actually works very hard and always helps people, but he's such a troll that people just think he's some unemployed youtuber with a prank channel
Absolute party animal. Do not ever in front of him mention that you're free that night.
George Russell— “nazuk kali”
From Delhi
Graphic designer. Edits Lando's videos for nim. Studies computer science.
Shared a room with Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant. Their relationship status is very complex. I'm not saying that they're a throuple, I'm not saying that they're friends. What I'm saying is that they're so dependent on each other I don't think they could function alone anymore. These three idiots make a full functional human being together. George cleans the house, Alex does the cooking and Logan does the laundry and the dishes. They manage, thanks.
George Russell is the type of guy to say “ghar pe maa behen nahi hai kya?” When he sees a girl getting catcalled.
George Russell is the type of guy to say “aapko kahin lagi to nahin?” When he bumps into someone.
George Russell is the type of guy to cover his mouth and say “uff” when he eats something spicy on accident.
On that note, George absolutely cannot handle his spice. Never bit into a raw green chilli willingly in his entire life.
You just know he eats the meethi pani puri with the red chutney and all.
Thinks momos are better than pani puri (he's wrong).
Closes his eyes and covers his ears when a condom ad or a spicy movie scene comes on the TV
Very pale because he rarely leaves his room (which— he's a computer science major, come on)
Lewis Hamilton— “dac saab”
From Kozhikode (Kerala)
Fashion influencer, gets brand deals all the time. Always promoting this brand or that.
Also actually a veterinary doctor with his own dog clinic.
Has a youtube channel where heostly makes affordable fashion tips etc but also posts the dogs at his clinic from time to time.
Spent a lot of years in South Delhi where he fell in love with a guy when he was a teenager but when he eventually moved back to Kozhikode they fell out of contact. Now he’s moved to Mumbai as he opened up a new clinic there and doesn't even know that he actually lives in the same goddamn building as the guy he fell in love with 20 years ago back in South Delhi.
I think y'all can already guess who the guy was, but if you can't (shame on you) it's Nico Rosberg.
Had a wife but she cheated so they divorced or something idk how do you justify a 40 year old guy being unmarried in India?
Loves his dogs more than anything, if there's a dog at his clinic that he can't save he will be sad for days.
Speaks Hindi in a voice that's like three octaves lower than his usual voice. Thinks he sounds bad but he sounds so damn hot.
Nico Rosberg— “thi ek.”
From South Delhi
News anchor for sure. Has a sadness in his eyes that makes you wonder if he ever got over the heartbreak he had at 19 (he did not)
Most people think his hair is dyed (it is not) because he's a chapri (he might be)
Legends say that the only time he has been seen with a smile on his face on TV was when he was talking about his childhood best friend.
The reason he doesn't anchor for any of the big or daresay political news channels is because they don't like how he compares international disputes to the fight he had with his best friend when he was 19.
Regularly travels to other metropolitan cities for news coverings (mainly sports) but lives in Mumbai for majority of the time.
In fact, lives in the same building as Lewis. The fact that they haven't run into each other in the elevator yet is a miracle (or a curse).
Will talk about love and heartbreak to anyone who would listen. You know those boys who say “thi ek” whenever someone tries to talk to them about love? Yeah that's him.
Married and has two daughters that he loves very much.
No pets because they remind him too much of Lewis.
Sebastian Vettel— “Chacha”
From Delhi
Lives in Mumbai with his wife.
Best friends with Lewis, knows everything about him and Nico.
Kind of a father figure to Charles.
The beloved colony uncle that always has the wildest stories ever. Catch him at the tea stall and just get him talking— you will be a changed man when he is done.
“Aur phir uska accident ho gaya aur usne apna haath kho diya, to uski manghetar ki family ne unse rishta tudwa liya. Jiske baad uski manghetar ki sagai mujhse hui aur phir hamari shaadi hui or shayad aaj bhi wo akela hi ek haath se apna hila raha hai bechara”
“...”
You would think considering how sweet he is, he was always this sweet but NO, this man was a MENACE.
Everyone who knew him before he got married wants him dead even now after all the years.
Fernando Alonso— "Kaka"
From Jaipur
The exact opposite of Sebastian.
The old man you see on the side of the road with paan in his mouth and a gaali on his lips
Also tells you stories from his youth and they're just as interesting but he's so arrogant about it that you're no longer interested in listening five minutes in no matter how interesting the story is
The kind of old man who sees children playing in the streets and starts acting like an overly invested referee for no reason.
Goes to the park in the morning at the same time as Sebastian but unlike him, Fernando does not let the joy and whimsy of life have any effect on him making you wonder why he's there at all
Lance Stroll— “vegan wali diet almond wala ghee 😌💅”
From South Bombay
Ameer baap ki bigri aulad
“What do you mean I can't buy the whole store?”
Y'all remember that “Mawn, terew paaw ki jewtie maawwww” girl??? Yeah
Sonam Kapoor is jealous of how much better he is at being a nepo baby
Logan Sargeant— “ye bhi thik hai”
Lives with George and Alex
From Goa
Thank god he does because he would not be surviving otherwise
Might have feelings for his roommates but all he knows how to do is wash the dishes and the clothes and he doesn't wanna die of hunger so he's silent.
Except maybe in front of Oscar but that's his best friendddd
Studying computer science too
Alex Albon— “dhokla4lifer”
From Gujarat
I might be projecting a bit but as someone who fucking LOVES dhokla, I don't see any reason as to why Alex should not.
Cooks for his two roommates, and always cooks so good.
Dhokla on Sundays and a tiffin box full of thepla and aam ka aachar whenever one of them is travelling home
Studying history and geography
Yuki Tsunoda— “momo wale bhaiya”
From Dehradun
Do not call him momo wale bhaiya. He can and will kill you.
Actually does love cooking
Has his own restaurant near the university campus
Pierre Gasly— “tantar mantar”
From West Bengal
Tired of everyone's “kaala jaadu” jokes.
Charles’ best friend and confidante.
Gossip girls. They have all the tea on everyone in the uni.
“Bokachoda”
Does sports.
Final year law student
Esteban Ocon— “Pierre's ex (he is NOT)”
From Odisha
Has beef with Pierre.
Will argue about anything from the origin of roshogulla to the state's contribution in the fight for freedom of the country.
Also final year law student
Extras—
Sergio Perez from Bihar
K Mag from Kashmir (haha get it? Because he's a track terroris—)
Nico Hulkenburg from Kashmir too
Valtteri Bottas from The Andaman Nicobar islands or something idk he shows so much ass it's unreal
Zhou Guanyu from Meghalaya

The Haunted Atlas
Ballechin House - Perthshire, Scotland
56°40′26″N / 3°44′10″W
Bizarre haunting of a Highland mansion in Perthshire, Scotland, allegedly caused because the wish of the house's owner to return to life in the body of one of his dogs was denied him. Hauntings were reported at the house for more than two decades, until they broke into public light in 1897.
Ballechin House was built in 1806 on property that since the 16th century had belonged to the Steuart family, descendants of King Robert Il of Scotland. The mansion replaced an older manor house which was demolished. In 1834, the property was inherited by Major Robert Steuart upon the death of his father. Steuart, who was posted with the army of the East India Company and lived in India, let the house to tenants. In 1850, he retired after a service of 25 years and returned to the Scottish estate. He lived in a cottage for several years, until the main house was free of its tenants.
The Major, as he was called, had a pronounced limp and was known as a local character and eccentric. He kept many dogs. While in India, he had become a believer in reincarnation and transmigration, the ability of the soul to inhabit nonhuman bodies. His wish was that upon his death, his spirit would return to occupy the body of his favorite black spaniel.
The Major was unmarried and for 26 years lived alone at Ballechin House except for the company of his young housekeeper, Sarah, who died suddenly and mysteriously at the age of 27 in 1873. His only family consisted of two brothers and six sisters, one of whom, Isabella, became a nun. Isabella assumed the name of Frances Helen and lived in a nunnery until her death in 1880.
In a will made in 1853, the Major left the house to the five children of his married sister, Mary. The eldest son died without heirs, and the Major later excluded the three younger children in a codicil to the will. When the Major died in 1876, the estate was inherited by Mary's second son, John, who was married and had several children. The family abhorred the notion of the Major coming back to life in one of his dogs, no matter how preposterous, and ordered every one of them shot. Later, the theory was put forth that the Major was then forced to remain a disembodied spirit, and he haunted the house to protest.
The Major was buried next to young Sarah. Almost immediately after his death, strange happenings began, including rappings and knockings, sounds like explosions and the sound of people quarrelling. John's wife was in the Major's study one day when she experienced an overpowering smell of dogs. She also felt herself being pushed against by an invisible dog. These and other events were so frightening that servants and governesses would not stay in the house.
Speculation arose about the relationship between the Major and Sarah. She had died in the main bedroom, which became the most haunted room in the house, and it was said that the Major's ghost could often be heard limping around the bed.
Although the John Steuarts managed to live at the estate for 21 years, John was forced to build a new wing in 1883 for his children to live in, outside the haunted area. He allowed the cottage where the Major had lived to be used as a retreat by nuns.
One morning in 1895, John was talking on the telephone to his agent before leaving for London on family business. Their conversation was interrupted by three loud, violent knocks. Later that day, John was fatally struck by a cab on a busy London street. Believers in ghosts took the knocks to be a warning of doom.
By this time, Ballanchin House had gained the reputation of a haunted house, as frightening tales told by former guests circulated in the community. In 1892, Father Hayden, a Jesuit priest, slept there in two different rooms after hearing loud noises consisting of animal-like sounds, raps and shrieks. The next year, Hayden met a woman who had been a governess in the house for 12 years, but who had left because of the strange noises heard in the very same two rooms.
In 1896, a family rented the house for one year, but left after only 11 weeks. Family members reported being terrorized by poltergeist activity that included inexplicable rattles, knocks, thumps, footsteps, bedclothes pulled off beds by unseen hands, rustling sounds, groans, heavy breathing, an icy coldness and even two apparitions-one in the form of an indeterminate mist and one in the shape of a man.
Lord Bute, an avid ghost-hunter of the day, agreed to sponsor an investigation. He rented the house for two investigators, Colonel Lemesurier Taylor and Miss A. Goodrich-Freer. On their first morning, the researchers heard clanging sounds repeated at two-hour intervals, the sound of voices, footsteps, dragging and pattering, loud bangs, thumps and knockings.
The investigators invited 35 guests to stay at the house, all of whom were unaware of the house's reputation. The guests reported numerous supernatural activities, including strange Rappings and knocks, the sound of someone reading aloud in the manner of a priest saying his office, a spectral hunchback seen walking up the stairs, the apparition of a black spaniel, and phantom dogs' tails heard striking doors and other objects. Goodrich-Freer, who had brought her own dog with her, was awakened one night by its whimpering. Following its gaze, she saw two disembodied dog's paws on the table beside the bed. A male guest reportedly saw a detached hand in the air at the foot of his bed, holding a crucifix. A maid saw the upper half of a woman's figure wearing a gray shawl, seemingly suspended in the air.
The investigators conducted sessions with an Ouija board and also received automatic writing messages. One message instructed the researchers to go to a nearby glen at dusk. Doing so, Goodrich-Freer saw a figure dressed as a nun move slowly up the glen and then disappear under a tree. She saw the same figure other times, either weeping or talking. Other reports described the figure as a young woman with a pale face, long hair and wearing a hood, and who disappeared quickly when people approached. Some people speculated that the figure was that of Isabella, who, for some unknown reason, was weeping in the snow-covered glen.
The entire account of the experiment was reported in The Times newspaper and was recorded in a book, The Alleged Haunting of B-House, published in 1899. The Stuart family raised so much opposition to the publicity, however, that all proper names had to be excluded from the story. The result was that hauntings had to be reported as "alleged," and the full story never gained credence as a true haunting.

AI in the stock market: Transforming the way we Invest
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is quickly becoming a main player in many industries, including the stock market. Since the stock market is full of unpredictable trends and large amounts of data, it can be hard for human traders to keep up and make quick decisions. AI in the stock market helps by analyzing this data faster and more accurately. It can predict market trends, making it easier for investors to navigate the complexities of the stock market. In short, AI in the stock market is changing the way we trade and invest in market prediction using machine learning to provide smarter, faster solutions.
The Role of Artificial intelligence in stock market (AI in the Stock Market)
Artificial intelligence uses smart machine learning (ML) to study large amounts of past and current stock market data. These technology look for patterns, trends, and connections that human traders might miss. This is important because in the stock market, even small changes in how people feel about the market or big global events can cause stock prices to change a lot. AI helps spot these changes quickly, allowing for better decision-making through AI stocks in India.
Machine learning is a key part of AI in the stock market. It helps AI to learn from past data, adapt to new information, and improve its predictions and decisions over time. Whether it’s studying company earnings reports, understanding investor feelings from social media, or tracking stock movements in real-time, stock market prediction using machine learning can respond quickly and accurately. This gives traders a big advantage in the market.
Al-powered Trading Algorithm
Automated trading, also called algorithm trading, is a popular way AI is used in the stock market. AI-powered programs follow set rules based on things like market conditions or stock data. When certain conditions are met, the AI can automatically make trades without needing human help. This has several benefits:
Speed: AI in the stock market processes data far faster than humans, enabling quicker analysis and decision-making. In a fast-moving market, even a few milliseconds can make a big difference in profit or loss.
Accuracy: AI removes human emotions and errors, making decisions more precise and reducing costly mistakes.
Scalability: AI can monitor and trade multiple stocks and markets at the same time, which humans can’t do as efficiently.
Predictive Analytics and Market Forecasting
Another important way to use AI in the stock market is through predictive analytics. This means AI looks at past data to predict future stock movements. AI can study years of stock prices, company finances, economic trends, and news to make predictions. For example, if AI notices that a stock usually drops after certain market conditions, it can warn traders about possible risks or chances to make money.
News Impact and Sentiment Analysis
News and public opinion play a big role in stock prices. While traditional traders manually go through financial news, market reports, and social media, AI in the stock market can do this instantly and more accurately. Using natural language processing (NLP), AI can read the language in news articles, press releases, and social media to figure out if the overall feeling is positive, negative, or neutral.
For example, Stock market prediction using machine learning can quickly analyze a company’s report, spot patterns in the language, and predict if the news will affect the stock price in a good or bad way. This allows traders to respond quickly, even before the market fully reacts to the news.
Risk Management and Portfolio Optimization
AI is also very important in managing risk in the stock market. In such an unpredictable environment, controlling risk is just as important as finding opportunities. AI systems can constantly watch a portfolio and alert traders to potential risks in real-time. By looking at things like stock price changes, economic signals, and global events, AI in the stock market helps to reduce risks for traders.
Conclusion

( JEFF GOLDBLUM / cis man / he/him ) — AVIEL GILLINSKI has been living in Port Leiry for 10 YEARS. They currently work as a PODCAST HOST, and are 70 years old. No one is sure if they’re actually a HUMAN or if they’re connected to "CRYPTID-BITS". They tend to be quite VAIN and JADED, but can also be ATTENTIVE and ROMANTIC.
Full Bio is under the read more! But....
TLDR: Aviel is a former archaeologist, art historian and lecturer at many colleges. Throughout his life he always thought there could be supernatural beings about... but after learning of the existence of them through his ex-husband, the human poured his time into his findings. He now has an extensive library of information, and does a niche podcast on Cryptids and other unsolved supernatural sightings, called "Cryptid Bits". A threat to some, an asset to many, an absolute weirdo but charming and way too smart for his own good.
BIO:
Aviel is one of 6 Gillinski children. He grew up in Upstate New York - the jokester of the Gillinskis from a very young age.
Despite his sarcastic and sometimes laissez-faire demeanor, Avi was dedicated to his studies. In college, he studied art history and archaeology, getting his Bachelors and then eventually his PhD.
He started partying a little later than most - as a teaching assistant while getting his PhD, he would get invited to all sorts of events. A natural chatterbox and someone who can easily make connections, Avi found many people hanging onto his stories and ideas, no matter if they were fictional or not.
After teaching art history for a few years, Aviel broke into his dream of archaeology. He was sent on digs and did quite a bit of traveling to do so - going anywhere from Croatia to Guyana, to Greenland, Norway, Russia, India, Singapore, and endless museums to inspect priceless artifacts.
During this time, he somehow managed to maintain a relationship with his then wife - a spirited woman who he had two wonderful children with.
When Aviel finally slowed down in his trips to excavation sites, he and his wife decided to separate peacefully. Their kids were already in college and both seemed to want different things.
Around the age of 60, Avi met a man at a conference who he would end up marrying in a whirlwind relationship. While this didn't last, they also parted on good terms - and this person was the first supernatural being he'd ever met, exposing him to a world he hadn't realized existed.
While he had always compiled little 'tidbits' of information about creatures he'd always thought could be real, he hadn't gotten any confirmation until then. Desperate for more knowledge, Aviel did his own research. Able to retire early anyways, he went off on his own private research assignments and went a bit too deep into cryptid stories and unsolved mysteries.
At 65, Aviel started his podcase "Cryptid Bits", where he speaks on cryptids and old unexplained cases, positing his own thoughts on what it could've been as well as recounting them in his lovely, soothing voice.

"Mapping the Future: Navigating the Course to Dream University"
Hello there! I am Vyomkesh Ajay Walanju, an undergraduate student studying Recreation and Sports Business at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Hope you are well and find this blog useful if you're planning your education overseas for the first time in your life. Getting to study abroad is an outstanding achievement for anyone and the excitement and joy you're filled with when you get the offer letter in your hand or by email cannot be explained, I can understand the joy you are feeling right now, and I am proud of you for making it this far. I still remember the day I got my offer letter from the University of Waterloo. I was screaming in my house that I got accepted into one of the best universities but for this to happen, I worked hard and prepared myself for a few things academically and mentally. The reason why I am writing these blogs is because I didn't have much guidance on how to prepare for my IELTS nor did I know how to do things properly in University as it was my first time trying to manage things on my own. It was a rollercoaster ride for me, especially during my first term. As an international student, I want to share some experiences I had and hopefully help you guys when you will be commencing your first year of University. Now you must be wondering, why I chose the University of Waterloo? So it began with a passion for basketball that I wanted to pursue and was interested in understanding how sports events get marketed and what happens behind the scenes, etc. I was more inclined toward Sports Management but in India, basketball isn't very popular neither is the awareness about sports management. When someone here's the word sports management in India, "You just have to play all day, right?". That was my realization that I am not studying sports management here. While I was applying for universities in Canada, most of my friends from Discord recommended that I should keep the University of Waterloo as an option. When I looked up Recreation and Sports Business they had so many options on which classes I could take which is a plus point. I could learn marketing, leisure, health classes, and so much more! They also had a co-op where you can apply for jobs and have work terms. Co-op is basically where you have study terms and work terms, it allows you to work while studying. My counsellor told me that the University of Waterloo where I wanted to get into was tough and my chances to get in were low. I had the grades and a good score in my IELTS but in the end, it all came down to luck. During my application process for this University, I had to fill out parts A and B which described my personality and showed that the major focus is on human aspects rather than just marks. To be very realistic, my expectations were low and I applied to a few more universities like the University of Brock and the University of Guelph. Then one day, just a week before my birthday, my mom came into my room and asked me to check my OUAC account where you send applications and also receive offer letters from Universities, I told my mom that I don't think I'll get an offer letter from the University of Waterloo, my mom insisted and was like 'might as well check'. I logged in and then scrolled down to the offer letter section and when I saw that I had an offer letter from the University of Waterloo, then I said, 'Oh snap' and I screamed and I realized that I got a birthday present before my birthday.
Well, here we are and that is it for my opening blog! As this is my first blog, bear with me a little as I am still learning how to write and hopefully, my blogs may help you a little to get through your University. Hope you enjoy reading this one! Please stay tuned for the next one!

Favourite part of the airport so far?
Just now getting around to answering this because shortly after making the AMA post I ended up spending the entire day stranded at my connecting flight at the airport because my destination flight from the night before had to get turned around at the last minute because of “low visibility”. There were no other flights to my destination until five days later so I had to just ditch my Christmas trip altogether and buy another flight home. So at the moment it’s very hard for me to think about what I enjoyed about it because it is bar-none the worst travel experience I’ve ever had. I’m probably only lucky to be back at home right now because I managed to catch a standby flight late the next night (people who can sleep in airports and get actual rest must have nerves of steel)
That said, I did manage to have some really nice conversations with some other people during my entire day of waiting and running around. I can’t think of another place on earth where it’s possible to be physically interacting with people from all parts of the world except at an airport and I feel very connected to humanity because of it. I’ll list some of the few and fleeting moments I got to enjoy during my day at denver international:
Sat next to a squirrelly and talkative two year-old on my first flight who I tried my best to entertain by pointing at things outside the window and describing the sounds and sights the whole way. he left some little plastic toys on the floor under his seat that I picked up as quickly as I could so I could catch up to him to return them but to no avail. I kept them as a memento of our time together
Spoke to a college student who was on the same canceled flight that I was. She was flying back home as well, to Billings, Montana where her girlfriend lived. After bonding over that frustrating event for awhile, she told me she was studying to be a physical therapist. I believe she told me her major was “health and wellness” but I can’t be too sure. I told her a bit about myself as well and we had a lengthy and engaging conversation about other topics for awhile. She warmly wished me luck on my journey home after her flight began boarding
Met a Korean woman while sitting at another gate who was traveling with an incredibly well-behaved Pomeranian. I mentioned having owned dachshunds and smaller dogs in the past and how much I love them and she inquired what owning the breed is like. We ended up sitting next to each other on my flight back home and her dog still did not make one peep the whole time!
Watched some families’ toddlers playing peekaboo with one another by draping a colorful handkerchief on top of the other’s head and yanking it off repeatedly
Talked to another girl at the same gate who was a biology student from Toronto, and was from India originally. She had the most beautiful pink translucent eyeglass frames. I told her about what I do and showed her some of my artwork and she excitedly commented on it and proceeded to follow my Instagram, and also showed me her drawings as well
All in all it was still an awful day, but the few moments where I was blessed with the chance to speak with a complete stranger and still find things in common with each other was a heartening experience. We all have so much more to offer each other than we could ever know and my life feels all the richer just for knowing it.
Happy holidays everyone!

The Importance of UPSC Coaching: A Step Towards Success
Introduction The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) examination is one of the most prestigious and competitive exams in India. It requires extensive knowledge, critical thinking skills, and the ability to handle pressure. Many aspirants wonder if UPSC coaching is necessary or if self-study alone can suffice. In this article, we will delve into the importance of UPSC coaching and how it can be a crucial step towards achieving success in the exam. Let's explore the advantages and benefits that coaching institutes offer to aspiring civil servants. Structured and Comprehensive Guidance One of the primary advantages of UPSC coaching in Chandigarh is the structured guidance it provides. The syllabus for the UPSC exam is vast and covers various subjects, including history, geography, polity, economy, and current affairs. Coaching institutes offer a well-organized curriculum, breaking down the extensive syllabus into manageable sections. Trained faculty members with subject expertise provide comprehensive study materials, making it easier for aspirants to grasp complex concepts. Expert Faculty and Mentorship UPSC coaching institutes have experienced faculty members who are well-versed in the exam pattern and requirements. These mentors provide valuable insights and strategies to tackle different sections of the exam effectively. They help aspirants understand the nuances of each subject, highlight important topics, and suggest relevant study resources. The guidance from these experts plays a crucial role in enhancing the aspirants' understanding and performance. Test Series and Mock Exams Practice is key to cracking the UPSC exam, and coaching institutes excel in providing comprehensive test series and mock exams. These simulated tests closely resemble the actual exam pattern and help aspirants gauge their strengths and weaknesses. Regular practice through mock exams not only improves time management skills but also boosts confidence. Feedback and performance analysis from experienced faculty members allow aspirants to identify areas that need improvement, enabling them to fine-tune their preparation strategies. Current Affairs Updates and Analysis Current affairs play a significant role in the UPSC exam. Staying updated with the latest news, government policies, and socio-economic developments is crucial. Coaching institutes provide curated study materials and resources that cover current affairs comprehensively. They offer analysis and discussions on current events, enabling aspirants to develop a broader perspective and improve their answer-writing skills. Peer Learning and Healthy Competition UPSC coaching institutes create an environment conducive to peer learning and healthy competition. Interacting with fellow aspirants helps in exchanging ideas, discussing strategies, and gaining different perspectives. Group discussions, debates, and interactive sessions conducted by coaching institutes enhance critical thinking and communication skills. Aspirants also benefit from motivational interactions and a support system that keeps them focused and motivated throughout their preparation journey. Personality Development and Interview Preparation The UPSC interview (Personality Test) is a crucial stage in the selection process. Coaching institutes offer specialized training to develop the aspirants' personality traits, communication skills, and confidence. Mock interviews, panel discussions, and personalized feedback sessions help aspirants refine their interview techniques. This training significantly enhances their chances of performing well and securing a high rank. Conclusion While self-study is essential, UPSC coaching can provide the necessary guidance, structured approach, and support system required to crack this highly competitive exam. The advantages of coaching institutes, including structured guidance, expert faculty, mock exams, current affairs updates, and interview preparation, make them an important step towards success in the UPSC exam.
