POST MORE ART PLS
Ok! 😋 Here’s the deuteragonist of my story!
Tumblr media
This is Kiss the clown! *goofy honk sound effect*
Tumblr media
See!! I wasn’t lying some of my characters actually are clowns!!! I’m still clowncore!! More about them under the cut :o)
Kiss is the shortest of my characters, only an around 3 feet tall! (Small but knowing. I won’t yet elaborate.) He’s also the quietest, he rarely speaks and would rather watch. (She unintentionally comes off as a bit eerie, but she owns it!!) When they do speak, they like to whisper to whoever’s next to them. Usually Ronnie! Who he is very close with!
Tumblr media
Here’s a low effort doodle! Just for you! 🫵How lucky you are! ♥️ (Oh also Kiss is agender and uses any pronouns! Just take your pick they don’t care!)

The activities of forest and mountain, the outdoors as their enthusiasts say, have been experiencing a kind of boom for some time it seems. So many people in the mountains, the woods, in courses ranging from climbing to hiking, from camping to "survival" (that terrible word from a TV show...) are blooming. At the same time we hear a lot of talk about the ethics of going to the woods and mountains, what is right and what is wrong, springing up from the custodians of truth (and those guys are everywhere) and new-agers in climbing boots. However, following this "rediscovery" of the "wild", problems have been created in relation to overcrowding of the mountains and woods on the one hand, with all that that entails, and on the other the development of a dangerous tendency to transform the "wild" and make it more accessible and appealing to the nomadic masses moving from the city for longer or shorter periods, weekends or holidays, to breathe "fresh air". So more and more places are springing up that are tending to transpose the city environment – measured and calculated – into environments that had perhaps instead maintained its particular characteristics unchanged for a long time, to a different degree from place to place. And so the "wild" becomes a domesticated offshoot of the city, which in the case of mountain villages means a distortion of the place to spots of wild renovations or new construction at the limit of (and beyond) the eco-devastation monstrosity. The plaudits that one hears from many quarters about the repopulation of some mountain areas [using the example of Italy] are just the delighted cries of those who manage to get some extra money in their pocket (directors, house owners and building speculators in boots), but the mountain is still dying, just like the countryside of the plains. Knowledge and skills, local traditions and dialects are being lost, sacrificed on the altar of usability and saleability. Obviously I don’t want to throw the baby out with the bathwater, there are some interesting situations that attempt to recover a more direct relationship with the environment around them, but the mass trend, unintelligent and brute, is to seek to extend city life to the countryside, mountains, forests...

I made this The Spectacle Angel Dust edit about less than 2 weeks ago. I'm proud of it but I think it could've been better.
So here's a hopefully better version for you guys.
Why am I sharing it here?... Idk, I guess to apologize for bashing him. I still don't like him.

I was reading the Agora Road Macintosh Cafe post that started the whole conversation around the Dead Internet Theory, and I realized, as i often do, that this is just The Spectacle.
Yes, internet media companies are selling you a highly tuned identity using their algorithms to figure out what will make you outraged and what will make you click. They don’t need generative AI or millions of bots to do this, you do it by interacting for “free”. There’s no conspiracy here, it’s just capitalism, people looking to make a buck by exploiting the things that make you laugh or, more profitably, make you mad. The idea that there’s some secret jewish conspiracy doing a thing that would be obvious to anyone deranged enough who spent time 37 minutes online and was trying to make a buck is the product of dishonest political motivations, or plain stupidity depending on the person.

Separated from his product, man himself produces all the details of his world with ever increasing power, and thus finds himself ever more separated from his world. The more his life is now his product, the more he is separated from his life. - Guy Debord, The Society Of The Spectable

There are things that you, you can live that will be more beautiful, more exquisite, more worth treasuring than anything fictional, which is not to say that fiction or art are bad, but I think in the era of the advertising image when we try to refashion ourselves into romantic images designed to sell us bathing suits and songs of the summer or whatever, it can be very easy to forget that these things are in reality pale imitations of the reality of the dazzle of sun on the water, and and the scent of sunscreen on your lover's skin, and the pleasure of a book in the shade of a beach umbrella ... or whatever your thing is (I'm at a beach house on Cape Cod right now) and no product or exercise in self refashioning can give you the pleasure of that experience. We feel anguish because we are sold products on the false promise that they will solve the problem of the anguish capitalism causes while it works us to death.

Tumblr media
This is Francis!! something, something, Talk about a diamond in the RUFF!!!! (now’s the part where you laugh hysterically….)
Tumblr media
See!! I totally posted this the day after my last post just like I said I would!! I did not forget for days!! That’s silly!! More about him under the cut U ´ᴥ` U
Like I mentioned in my last post, Francis and Mercury are best friends! And despite being the taller of the two (and the tallest in general haha) Francis definitely looks up to him. I think he’s pretty gentle and polite, and can be a little oblivious and forgetful at times. He’s still trying his darnedest though!! He’ll get there!! He’s the second clown in the Spectacle and he specializes in balancing and lifting acts!! What a guy! :3
Tumblr media
Here’s an old drawing from when I didn’t know how to draw his ears!! As a treat!!! You could say it’s a dog treat!!!…..please laugh. I promise I’ll try to post more regularly!!
