This is your permission post to get a little bit goofy with butch/femme culture btw
y’all take this too seriously sometimes. “That’s not femme enough” “That’s too femme” My angel honey sea anemone pea princess. We are in gender buffoonery land. It has always been like that. We are clowning around in the face of gender essentialism. Stop trying to reinvent gender essentialism.
If you’ve ever accused yourself of not being femme enough, or not being butch enough, I need you to remind yourself that the culture is there to serve you. It exists so you can cope. It exists so you can feel at home. It exists so you can do gender tomfoolery and feel good.

Not gonna lie, nothing makes me feel more unsafe around other trans femmes than to watch them drag trans mascs through the mud behind their chariot.
This isn't a "not all men" post, yall just have issues and are making it everyone else's problem. I'm sorry being a man wasn't for you, but that doesnt make being a man inherently evil or men inherently untrustworthy. People are multifaceted creatures and acting like men are inherently abusive is just gender essentialism with a fresh coat of paint.
Go to therapy like the rest of us and stop being assholes. This isn't hard. Christ.

A pet peeve i got is when there's a male character who's very obviously femme(Aang,Percy Jackson,Hobie Brown AND Miles Morales,Ekko,Marshall Lee Abadeer,Kon-El Kent,Todoroki Shouto, etc)but the fandom characterizes/draws them as masc by default unless it's sexualizing them because that's the only reason they think a man would wanna be feminine.'Oh well i headcanon them as trans men-'Transmasc≠masculine presenting and pretending that's the case is more reinventing gender roles than anything i've ever heard trans women say about eggs.Like you can headcanon male femmes as tboys but they'd still be male femmes and not f*mboys my guy

random rant about my gender discovery journey and how ironic it was😭
i find my gender discovery journey really funny tbh. I've always hated femininity. as a kid, i HATED pink, and i hated makeup and dolls (i still hate dolls... they're creepy). I started identifying as a lesbian when i was 10, and I wasn't surprised. I was a tomboy anyway. Then, in the year 2020, as a 12 year old child, I had the enlightenment of being transgender. I was like "ohhh"
still hated femininity, though. and because of that, i stopped identifying as a lesbian bc it tied me down to a "feminine thing" or to a "woman thing." (i now see how stupid I was), and started to identify as a bisexual – i literally gaslighted myself into thinking i liked men bc of that💔.
even though i knew i wasn't a girl, i didn't know what flavor of trangenderism i was. it was a mess. Every few months or so, i changed my gender for a different label. That went until i was 14, i grew tired of all of this and just started labeling myself as an agender. None that i tried had fit, so i had no gender.
when i started identifying as an agender, i stopped caring about gender binary things, i said "fuck all of you" and just did whatever i wanted. and when i finally got comfortable in the fact that gender binary sucks ass (last year), i got comfortable in my femininity for the first time ever.
i started using skirts, makeup, painting my nails, wearing dresses and earrings. and when i finally got comfortable with my femininity, i started labeling myself as a lesbian again.
i was so happy to be free again and be the huge dyke that i've always been that i got REALLY into lesbian history, and thats when i crossed with the term "butch".
and i was "oh.... OH!!!!!!"
but i was already so comfortable in my femininity again, and i liked my feminine traits and all that i was like "nahh, i cant be butch, i like makeup"
and then some months has passed, and i was obsessed with butchfemme things, i couldnt deny it anymore tbh. and i started seeing other butches saying that being a butch is about disconstructing gender anyways, and that butches can be however they want. So, a month ago (?) or a little more than that, i started labeling myself as a butch, and i've never been more comfortable with a label than i ever been before.
now, the ironic part is: after ALL that, my whole messy gender journey being about fuck femininity, is that the answer was in my femininity all along, and how masculine i am with it. i had to be comfortable with my femininity to realize how butch and transmasculine i actually am.
and the answer was there all along, in my face. deep down, I always knew what i was. I just had to be punched in the face by the universe to be able to see it.
if 12 years old me never gaslighted myself to like MEN, i would've been comfortable with myself wayyy earlier💔💔
and now i live to serve and protect femininity and respect femmes and recognize that they are so important in my life.
also funny thing – 7-8 year old me used to say that i was the "protector of girls" and used to beat up the boys who used to mess up with my friends😭 it literally was in my face ALL ALONG.
anywaysss thanks for coming to my useless ted talk🫶🫶🫶

Tsukuyomi was a child of a favored Geiko, due to the barring of male children, he lived his life essentially in the darkness while tending to the essential duties of the Okiya. Like most males in such a world, he was to live with servitude, though the lack of a mother’s guidance ate at his core. The only thing he held onto was the warmth && glory of his young twin, Amaterasu. His love for her is utmost profound, but, it’s important to emphasize he was a man, one of great pride && conviction. He is more of a politician who grasped at the reins rather than wither away, people found his harmless yet gentle face something to confine in, radiant && guiding. Prior to his death, to be loved by him was a blessing, essentially he is known for remembering prior consorts to whom he deems ‘my love eternal’. His symbolism revolves around wolves, lances as he specialized in pole arms, wisteria blossoms, always garbed in purple or royal hues && his domain was that of a bronze mirror. In modern day, his vessel incarnated the spirit of his twin thus garnishing favor. Though, in his death, his corpse was butchered, spread around to hide the secrets he died with that could bring ruination to those who denounced him.

Femme Fatale Guide: Lingerie Essentials Every Women Should Own
Simple everyday bra and underwear sets in black and nude that match your skin tone: Think of items like a lined bra and seamless thong/bikini panty set. My favorites are the SKIMS Fits Everybody Push-Up Bra paired with the matching Fits Everybody Thong and the Natori Feathers bra paired with the Natori French Cut Briefs.
Sexy yet practical bra and underwear sets: Sexier options you can still wear every day and look good under your clothes. Consider an all-lace or animal print bra with coordinating all-lace or sheer underwear – love the bra options from Chantelle, Natori, Cosabella, and Simone Perele (these are pricey, so I look for them on sale) paired with Natori or Cosabella underwear. My favorite styles are the Natori Push-Up bras (I'm super flat-chested, so I need it for my clothes to fit properly, lol – otherwise the Natori Flora Contour Underwire Bra is stunning) with the Cosabella Never Say Never Comfie Thong & Natori Bliss Allure Lace Full Brief.
Ultra-sexy bra and underwear sets: Less so for clothes, more for yourself or for show. I love Fleur Du Mal for these bra/underwear lingerie sets.
Strapless bra: Natori Feather Strapless Bra. Thank me later!!
Lace bralette: Something comfortable that still feels a bit sexy. I love the options from Journelle, Cosabella, and Natori.
Satin/silk robe: To wear after the shower or around the house. Lilysilk, Victoria's Secret, Cosabella, and Fleur Du Mal have great options.
A quality pair of black tights: I love HUE and Wolford! The control top ones always feel the best for me, personally.
Sheer black thigh-highs with lace-stay-up detailing: Natori Feather range ftw yet again!
Sheer black tights with or without back seam detailing: Hue and Wolford, always!
Simple bodysuit/shapewear bodysuit: The SKIMS ones are great.
Elevated shapewear bodysuit (in a fabric like satin, lace, or vegan leather): I love the Spanx Shaping Satin Thong Bodysuit and the Commando Faux Leather bodysuit – perfect to wear with a pair of jeans and a blazer.
High-waisted sculpting underwear: SKIMS Seamless Sculpt is my favorite (runs on the smaller side!)
Satin slip dress: Can be worn at home or with a blazer/leather jacket for a night out.
Fully lace or lace trim slip dress: If wearing it alone could run someone's life, you're doing it right. Love the one from Cosabella. If you want to wear it out, try a vegan leather bralette, an opaque black brief, and lace or sheer black tights for a "naked" dress look or black pants/denim for a night-out look. Otherwise, save this one to feel sexy while relaxing at home or to wow a partner any night of the week. If you want some ultra-glamorous options, I suggest checking out Oséree but their items are $$$$ as a fair warning.
Satin/silk cami & shorts or pants set: For some equally comfortable and sexy loungewear or pajama options. I love styles with lace trim for that added feminine touch.

i haven’t really talked on here before about being a butch and any related topics to tht but i wanted to for a bit cause of some convos i had with my gf so here we go (we had this convo after some discourse on twitter a while back about hdhdgdhdhfhdh)
i kept seeing people (very specifically white cis femmes) talk about how butch lesbian sexuality is misogynistic because of some tweet a butch made about wanting her femme to suck her strap. butch lesbian sexuality is ALWAYS seen as misogynistic by outsiders because they view us as men so anything we do is equivalent to a man doing it, despite the obvious fact that butch lesbians receive hate for their masculinity and cannot hold the same position as men due to not being men. butches also specifically threaten the regime of cishetpatriarchy because specifically divorce themselves from manhood while being masculine.
ik this convo isn’t really new or groundbreaking, i jst really needed to get my thoughts out on this topic and hopefully it resonates with some people. also, since i’m somewhat new to id’ing as butch (3 months 🥳) it would kinda be nice if some people could list out some useful stuff to read about butchfemme history cause i know the general basics but i’d love to know more so thank you hghghgghgg

horror moment when I am fully clocked by this 5 year old asking loudly "mommy is that a boy or a girl?" and I'm trying so hard not to bust out laughing because the mom is MORTIFIED because she sure as hell dont know so I tell him I'm a boy and he's like "but I can see your hair? it's blue!" and his mom bless her soul pointed out that she had green hair so I think I am the first boy with dyed hair this kid has ever seen 😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 my work gender is literally whatever will get you want you want and out the door fastest i dont care. I have old dudes calling be buddy and frat boys calling me bro some days and hijabi girlies telling me about their hair dye disasters and have customers that seek me out because I'm the only femme/faggot on staff. I hope every time someone calls me miss or lady because they think I'm a trans woman that support goes to a trans girls in need. I know.im 5'2 and care about my appearance. I'm aheem/ahiim at this point

when i started this blog something that was really important to me was prioritizing zelda herself/women from loz. like i remember feeling like all the fanart i saw was either link or zelda WITH link, and most of the fics i read focused on link’s perspective while zelda played a supporting role. and like if you know me you know i love zelink (if you don’t know me, hi, i like zelink, lmao) but it kinda bugged me how skewed everything felt. and in time y’know i’ve gotten distracted lost interest here and there etc. but i’m gonna go back to making more of a conscious effort to share content prioritizing women again
i love link too and i’ll still obvi be sharing link-centric content don’t get me wrong but he gets enough spotlight from fandom. i feel. so i’m going to give a little more space to the girls here
