I’m willing to pay actual cold hard cash just to see a flashback of Ares confronting Luke when he stole the bolt from Olympus.
And I would give even more to see Luke’s quest for the golden apple before Kronos corrupts him.
Things we can see now, because the PJO show can show us multiple perspectives.
~ Luke visiting Annabeth before the Last Olympian.
~ Hades inviting Nico to the Underworld
~ The exact moment Nico convinced Hades to fight in the war.
~ Annabeth running away from home.
~ Grover and Juniper meeting.
~ Dionysus’s reaction to Castor’s death, and how he dealt with it.
~ Bianca telling Nico she joined the hunters.
And this is just the first series.
#and I would give anything to see the diary of Luke on screen#I’m so serious#they need to show more of the stuff that happens behind the scenes#especially with Luke and the titan army#percy jackson#luke castellan#pjo#percy jackon and the olympians#percy jackson tv series

If the TV show will also include things outside of Percy’s POV (I saw Rick talking about how they added scenes that happen outside of Percy’s POV) then they better include some with Luke.
Show me scenes of him while Percy is gone on his quest and he is still at camp playing "mediator" to the other demigods. Show him struggling against Kronos! For the love of the gods show Luke writing in a worn out green diary that has someone else’s name on it!
Show him becoming seemingly more distant towards other campers. Show his struggle! I need more insight!
#especially if they end up adapting the entire series#I definitely need more scenes that relate to what Luke is doing#and scenes with the titan army#I just need to see more stuff outside of Percy’s pov#luke castellan#percy jackson#percy jackon and the olympians#pjo#pjoverse#percy jackson tv series

Michael being a menace to Luke is always one my fav things.
The only thing keeping him from trying to kill Luke is Lee, and Lee is fully aware of it gfhdg
The second Lee gets hurt from typical Titan shenanigans I imagine Michael loses it. He's taking that man's kneecaps.
Menace Michael is my favorite. We saw little glimpses of it in Last Olympian and I love to be able to expand on it
Lee literally has to play mediator or Michael will be fighting. He's literally praying on Luke's downfall every day. I imagine him burning his offerings and going, "Please Dad, give me the chance to break Luke's kneecaps."
#michael yew is a menace#lee is like a full time mom especially as he gets to know more of the ta demigods#michael is not amused at all#pjo#percy jackon and the olympians#michael yew#luke castellan#answered#chasms ta lee au#titan army#ta lee

'Prom or Hell?' from the Heathers musical is like. a verse but the latter half is so good for TA demigod angst.
"They were just seventeen,
they still had room to grow,
they could have turned out good,
but now we'll never know."
To me it really emphasises just how young they all were, from the unnamed twelve year old Percy ran into before blowing up the Princess Andromeda to Luke. Silena and Beckendorf were going to go off to college after the summer. They had their entire lives ahead of them and they could have gone on to have brilliant lives but now we'll never know what could have happened. Beckendorf could have grown up to be the alternate universe good version of Elon Musk or something, Silena could have became a pop-culture icon, Ethan might have made serious changes to fix the inequalities in the demigod world etc
But now they're just dead.

the wonder of you
pairing: luke castellan x daughter of Ares!reader
word count: 5.9k
warnings: none :)
summary: capture the flag is a big deal to you, too bad luke keeps trying to distract you.
_
There’s a scent of fear and something stronger in the air when you step foot onto the field, your armor clad body already sweaty under the sweltering summer sun. Everyone is mingling, talking amongst their teams though the snippets of conversation you caught were about anything but Capture the Flag.
Army….monsters….Kronos
There was something else on everyone's minds these past couple of weeks, the lingering anxiety over a war that was supposedly brewing unbeknownst to anyone in Camp Half Blood and Mount Olympus. The oracle had given a cryptic prophecy, though the exact words were lost within the translations from story to story depending on the camper you asked.
Some of the Hermes children had heard that there was a host body that was slowly resurrecting the titan king himself, slowly gathering bits and pieces of bodies in order to resurrect his body. Mr. D was quick to shut that rumor down, threatening the next person who spread another rumor with a month’s worth of chores.
Other children of Apollo theorized that the oracle was not speaking of a war but another sibling rivalry between the gods, the kind that had Zeus throwing tantrums in the form of thunderstorms and Poseidon flooding cities out of pure pettiness. The only son of Poseidon was also quick to shut that idea down, claiming his own dreamless nights as proof that the gods were fine and didn’t need help.
Regardless of who you asked, the unspoken worries were evident - a war among the gods was brewing. A shiver went down your spine at the mere thought of fighting a war with these campers - most of them too young to even drive yet but not young enough to wield a sword, to kill and die for a taste of glory.
A horn sounded and both teams roared in response, clanking their weapons against their shields in response to the horn. Beside you, Clarisse clanged her spear against the ground, the familiar crackling of electricity stemming from the tip. A gift from your father, the god of War, though lately his true colors had been showing.
Ares had been silent these past couple of months, hiding away from the prayers and pleas of his children for Gods know what. It wasn’t unlike him to be absent in his children’s lives but this type of silence was worrying, especially for the god who loved to taunt. The Aphrodite cabin had the same trouble, and the only common theory both cabins could come up with was that Ares and Aprodite were swindling together.
But days turned to weeks and when the weeks turned to months, both cabins suspected there was something more sinister happening. Ares was never at the forefront of a battlefield, but he was always present when a fight was happening. And if he wasn’t showing up for the brawls within Camp Half Blood, you could only guess what bigger fight your father was preparing for in Mount Olympus.
The sound of Chiron’s monotonous voice pulled you out of your worried thoughts. It was the same as every year, with him repeating the rules of Capture the Flag and putting emphasis on the no maiming rule with a pointed glare. Your team murmured in response, unhappy with the calling out of who was responsible for last year’s punishment. Though it was partially your fault for targeting the new kid from the Apollo cabin, Chiron’s rules were the last thing on your mind.
You’ve been having vivid dreams for the past couple of days - dreams that felt so real you were unsure if you were living through them or not. No one knew of them, not even Chiron or Mr. D. You weren’t sure why you were hiding these dreams from everyone, perhaps in fear of what exactly your dreams entailed or in fear of what will happen after they’re revealed.
A battlefield stood before you, barren yet the wind that blew past you sounded eerily like the clanging of swords against shields. If you listened closely, you could hear commands being shouted in ancient greek. The ground was stained with the blood of men who were born and died long before Camp Half Blood was founded - when wild men and beasts fought on the same land.
The land before you came alive, the ground soaking with blood as the sound of shattering bones and groans of agony echoed throughout the space. Somewhere above you a vulture circled the air, hissing in warning. Everything within you was warning you of something - a monster of some sort, maybe from the depth of Tartarus.
Bones rattled around you, bodies with missing bones and parts forming into a legion. Skulls found a spine which found femurs and humeruses. One by one, soldiers stood in formation until an army of the undead was complete. A soldier clad in armor stood before you, armor polished and muscled body - a general of some sorts or maybe someone higher in command.
Primal fear coursed through your body as he glowered down at you, shadows casting over his face. You knew who he was, what this person was capable of doing. Scars littered this body, deep slashes and shallow cuts adorning along the arms and legs of the soldier but the face was completely clean - as if no one could come close.
The lord of bloodshed, the curse of mortals incarnate, the god of war - Ares.
You kneeled before your father, bowing your head slightly to the ground in greeting. He barely glanced in your direction, an acknowledgement and dismissal. ``You’re not ready,” he said gruffly, smoke puffing out of his mouth. You scrunched your nose in distaste at the cloud of smoke, the smell of burnt cigarettes lingering in the air.
Ares was never much of a talker, more of a man that spoke with fists and blood than words. Violence was his specialty, as it was with you and Clarisse and all of your half blooded siblings. But still, the bluntness of his words never ceased to have you stewing in a bad mood for the next few days and you found that you’ve inherited his harsh way with words.
“You’ve ignored me for so long, what make you think I’ll listen to your opinion of my readiness?” You scoffed, a little too boldly for your father’s liking. You stayed on your knees, though you raised your gaze to the god of war. His jaw clenched and his hand curled into a fist at the disrespect, but he didn’t strike.
Ares ignored your question, hardened eyes gazing past you. His focus was somewhere else, analyzing the battlefield with the gaze of an experienced general. Centuries of war and bloodshed flashed through his face - regret, anger, pain flickering in his eyes.
You’ve never seen your father experience such emotions in a short amount of time. He was always hot headed, with a clenched jaw and sharp tongue that often got himself in more trouble than he could handle. But he was never remorseful, never apologized for what he said or did or hurt.
“I know when my soldiers are ready,” he said, voice laced with the sternness of a general. You tried to mask your face with a mask of boredom, though his words stung. Soldiers, not children. Even after being claimed you could never get your father’s approval, not even after all this time.
Still, you were your father’s daughter - you’re stubborn and hot headed and brash. Backing away from fights was not your strong suit, so you stood up on your own accord and straightened your back. “I’m ready,” you said confidently, maybe too confidently for someone who loses sleep over nightmares.
Ares barely gave you a passing glance, a half scoff escaping his lips. More smoke filled the air and burned your lungs, but you didn’t complain. Ares didn’t like whiny losers. “You’re weak - worthless,” he grunted, the grip on his spear tightening. The muscles in his arms bulged at the slightest movement, and it took every part of you to avoid staring at the deep gashes along his biceps. “Not even close to reaching your potential.”
You scowled at his words, at the cold bluntness in his tone. Never in your life had someone speak to you that way, with such little interest. “I’m not sure I’m following…” you said, daring to glance away from your father. The vulture at his feet stared at you, its beady eyes staring deep into your soul and very being.
“The greatest warriors didn’t need an extra push from their parents to be as great as they are now,” Ares said gruffly, . The soldiers behind him didn’t even budge from their positions, unfazed of the dispute before them. Maybe their physical forms were present but they needed directions in order to move, as if they were nothing more than puppets for your father to use as he pleased.
You shifted your weight from one foot to the other. You didn’t like how Ares was speaking to you, like you were benched for your lack of participation. Sure, you haven’t gone on an extreme quest to gain greatness in a while but you’ve been beating your own record at target practice with all the weapons available.
“Achilles was training under Chiron before he fought in the Trojan War,” you pointed out. You remembered Chiron’s bedtime stories to the younger campers, of all the heroes he’d trained centuries ago. The Athena cabin had hosted a trivia night a couple months ago, and the Ares cabin had gotten a decent amount of points in the Ancient Battlegrounds and Armory topics.
Ares rolled his eyes at the mention of the Greek hero. It was clear his grudge against the Greek army still hadn’t faded away even after all these years. “And then he refused to challenge Hector because he was too cowardly to fight,” he added snarkily, disgust evident on his face.
You searched your brain for more heroes, more stories that had victory in some sort of way. Death, failure, cursed forever, there weren’t many, and you hated your ancestry for that. “Didn’t Heracules have multiple trainers?” you crossed your arms. You had also recalled the countless stories of Greek heroes Chiron had drilled into your heads.
Ares clicked his tongue, as if he suddenly remembered the name. You are sure that he didn’t even remember your name, though you tried not to think negatively about the deity before you. “Ah, was that before or after he slaughtered his family and cowardly ran away from his actions,” he tilted his head, glaring down at you with the same beady eyes as the vulture. He shared the same wild look in his eyes, the patience to wait for death to strike his prey.
A shiver ran down your spine, though you held his stare. You wondered if he could sense the confusion and hesitation within you,or if he counted it as fear. If they both made an adrenaline course through your veins, did it really matter?
Did this conversation even matter? Slight annoyance surged through you, at this useless dream your father decided to join. He’d been silent for so long only to come back and talk about how worthless you are. “Why are you telling me this? What’s the point?” you asked, exhaustion evident in your tone. You supposed having a war of attrition with the god of war wouldn’t go well on your part. A small part of you knew that your father thought the same.
For once, Ares didn’t scoff or roll his eyes at your question. He seemed surprised at your question, as evident by the slight raise of an eyebrow. Maybe he wasn’t used to being questioned, or maybe he expected more of a fight from you. “Every hero has a weakness. It’s inevitable.” he said sternly.
You faltered. Was that what this was all about? Weakness? A small pang of hurt echoed in your chest - did Ares think you were that weak? Was he so concerned about your mortality that he had to warn you to be extra safe?
“I don’t have a weakness,” you huffed, crossing your arms stubbornly. You prided yourself in handing out more punches than receiving them, especially when sibling rivalry peaks during competitive seasons. “Achilles had his heel and pride, Heracules was a coward, Jason was unloyal. But I’m not like them - I’m better-”
“You’re not,” Ares interrupted, his spear crackling with power. You stared at the sheer power your father held, even in his mortal form he still exuded raw power and authority. If this much power made your body tremble, you could only imagine how Zeus was. “But I don’t want you to be exploited,” he said.
You faltered at his words. Ares cared, in his sick and twisted way, about you. He didn’t want his own kin to share the same fate as the reckless heroes from the past, not when he has greater expectations. Something like pride swelled within you - the same pride that killed Achilles. “I won’t let anyone close enough to exploit my weakness.”
“Keep it that way,” Ares nodded in what seemed like approval. You wondered if he would ever utter the words I’m proud of you in his lifetime, or if this was as close as you would get. You didn’t bother asking, not wanting to push your luck with your father.
With a click of its beak, the vulture took to the sky, circling you from above. Ares turned his attention to the army of dead soldiers and gave them a salute. The soldiers saluted back and turned to their heels, slowly walking back into the very dirt that had buried them for centuries.
The smell of smoke and burning flesh burned your nose and lungs, but you could still sense Ares somewhere. He wasn’t gone yet but he was leaving, just like that. Panic swarmed your head, he couldn’t leave not when he’s been missing for weeks now. “Wait! Don’t go!” You called out, taking a step forward. Your foot stayed stuck in the dirt, keeping you in place as you struggled to walk towards the god of war. “Please! Don’t leave!”
The desperation in your voice must’ve been evident because Ares turned around, giving you an almost sympathetic look. It looked equally as intimidating as his war face, canines on display and wild eyes staring right at you. Perhaps it wasn’t a look of sympathy but of mercy, the kind you give to a soldier choking on their own blood on the battlefield before ending his misery.
“I’ll be back when you win,” Ares promised. His spear crackled once more in response before he disappeared completely, leaving nothing but giant footprints in his place.
A hand on your shoulder snapped you out of your thoughts, and you jumped at the sudden attention. Beside you was your half sister Clairesse, her shirt sleeves rolled up to her shoulders to prominently display her tanned arms. Her muscles flexed with each movement, her casual movements turned into threatening actions.
“You ready?” Clairesse asked, her eyes practically glittening with excitement. She had also had some dreams, though hers were more promising. Apparently Clairesse had seen your father and promised him victory for today’s game. Ares gave her no response, but the determined look in your sister’s eyes gave you confidence for today’s game.
You nodded, schooling your face into a look of confidence despite the sweat that slipped down your face. Gods, you hated the heat more than the miserable cold that winter always brought. You tried not to think about Ares’ words to you - when you win. Another giant weight on your shoulders, as if this wasn’t enough. “Did Dad give you any sign this morning?” you asked, glancing over at your team.
There seemed to be more campers this year than any other - a sign that Chrion took as the Gods accepting more of their children into their lives. While some demigods were excited to be claimed, others were weary of the sudden change of heart of the once negligent Olympians. You didn’t complain, though. The Ares cabin had been thriving with the influx of newly claimed siblings and as a result, your team seemed bigger than it was last year.
Clairesse shifted her weight from one foot to another, the only hint of nervousness she’d show. You took her silence as a no and moved your attention to your armor, double checking each strap and handle to avoid the awkwardness of the conversation.
The children of Ares were never good with their words, preferring to show their emotions through physical means regardless of how lighthearted the emotions really were. It was as much as a gift as it was a curse, and you could only blame your cowardly father for granting you emotional instability as part of your heritage.
Your armor was strapped tight, hanging onto your body as the worn leather burned in the sunlight. It was centuries old, scratches and slight holes denting through the front layer, though you doubted you’d need the protection. The center of your leather plated chestpiece spray painted red, as if your team’s intimidating aura wasn’t enough to indicate which side you were on.
Across from you was the opposing team, their leather armor marked in blue as they stood in perfect formation. They were always the more organized team between you two, thanks to their team leaders that kept everyone in shape just for this moment. Amongst the crowd of young campers, you could spot Luke standing front and center, flanked by Annabeth Chase of the Athena cabin.
You could see the girl point to her temple, giving Luke a knowing smile and nod of approval at something he had said. Your heart fluttered at the sight of Luke in his armor, his helmet barely covering his face that you knew had a determined look. He always took Capture the Flag as seriously as any other child of Ares and Athena, always determined to prove himself again and again as the best swordsman and maybe something more.
As if sensing your stare, Luke glanced over Annabeth’s shoulder, a small smile creeping onto his face as he caught your gaze. You flushed at his gaze but blamed the heat. Luke was more of a headache to you than a friend, though he was one of the older campers that was more similar in age to you than anyone else.
You smiled back at Luke, cracking your knuckles in response and pointing at Luke in case he didn’t get the hint. Luke chuckled, his helmet shaking slightly at your threat. A sense of pride filled your chest at making Luke break the character of the serious camp counselor of the Hermes cabin, a feat only few could claim as a success.
As usual, the Aphrodite cabin was in charge of leading the opponents frontline men away from the flag, taking them as far as they could before raising suspicion. Those who could charmspeak or change appearances were spread out within your ranks while the others followed their head camper’s lead towards your fake flag.
Your cabin, the Ares cabin, was on the front lines, as always. Armed with magic weapons and a madness that could only happen during the heat of battle, the children of Ares were always theIf anyone could get past the Athenan and Hermes children. The brutes of Cabin 5, you called yourselves with pride.
Clarisse glanced over at you, smirking at you as everyone got into position. Her spear crackled with electricity, the prominent tip glowing in warning and promise of pain. “Don’t get cold feet now,” she teased, her voice full of confidence. Her eyes seemed to glow with excitement, the mere thought of knocking down campers without repercussion always gave the children of Ares more of a reason to look forward to this event - this time even more so.
Today was a big deal, both to the reigning champs of the previous years and the reigning losers of your team. Today, you’d turn the tide, claiming victory over capturing the flag for the first time in three years. Your cabin needed to win, you needed to win. The Ares cabin needed to prove themselves worthy of your father’s attention once more after that embarrassing loss the year before to the huntresses of Artemis.
You remembered the way your father ignored every prayer and offering sent to him, how the Ares Cabin became the laughing stock of camp once your siblings started to lose at even the most basic camp games. Capture the Flag, sparring exercises, even sharpening your weapons seemed to be a harder task than usual.
You knew your role, it was the same one as last year and the year before that - find Luke and prevent him from advancing. It was easier said than done - children of Hermes were always the first to race across the map, quick and nimble on their feet. And you knew Luke would lead his group towards your side of the forest, using his winged shoes to give him the advantage of speed.
The sound of a horn sounded for a second time - the final warning before the game would start- and you sucked in a small breath as you heard the distant rumbling of your siblings and teammates racing to their positions. While Clarisse and the rest of the more aggressive demigods cut a clear path to the blue team’s site, you’d take a detour towards Luke’s site and keep him distracted until your team claimed victory.
Easier said than done.
Without a second to spare, you sprinted towards Luke’s direction, following him into the entrance of the forest. He was already way ahead of you, zig zagging through the trees and brush as you ran behind him, laughing mockingly at your speed. The fluttering of his winged shoes trailed ahead, almost a distant sound until you could catch up - another rub in your face at your slowness.
Luke’s red Converse was the only thing you could spot, a red blur that left you constantly looking around. Gods, he was fast. One second he was straight ahead then he was cutting left through the lake, his voice echoing from one side of the forest to the other.
You huffed at Luke’s speed but continued forward, your feet carrying you as fast as you could go towards the red shoes. Your armor bounced against your body, clashing against your own sword as you gained speed towards the bright red just up ahead.
Right as you approached the lake, you frowned. There was silence, an eerie emptiness surrounding you as if there was no one around. You held your breath, waiting for the flapping of the winged shoes to appear for you to follow once more, but the only other sound that accompanied you was the water gently crashing upon the shore. It was as if Luke was never there, the sand and rocks beneath your feet undisturbed save for your footprints.
A branch snapped somewhere behind you and you whirled around, sword in hand as you scanned your surroundings. There was no way Luke led you to a separate area, an alternate plan to the one your team had created. You grit your teeth in annoyance, blaming Annabeth Chase for thinking of a way to counter your plan.
Another branch snapped on your left and you turned around again, your sword humming to life at your growing annoyance. This couldn’t be Luke, he wasn’t the type to stalk and hide his opponents. Whoever this was, they were treating you like prey, as if you were the lesser one in this fight. If you couldn’t get a hit on this person, your heating sword would at least throw this person off your trail for a bit.
The next thing you knew, you were tackled to the ground, rolling into the lake with the attacker. Their arms wrapped around your back, holding you tightly against their body as you thrashed against their hold, cursing in Greek with every breath you could get out. You exchanged a series of punches and kicks with your attacker, both of you hitting the hard ground with each tumble you took until you finally landed into the water.
With a grunt, you lunged at the person, revenge the only thing on your mind. You toppled over the person, gripping their neck and giving it a threatening squeeze with all your strength. You didn’t care much for the rules, not when this punk - whoever they were - decided to embarrass you during your hunt.
“If I knew this was how you’d react to getting tripped, I would’ve done it sooner,” the culprit crooned, and you sneered at the amused tone of their voice. This had to be one of the Stoll brothers, you’d know that annoying tone anywhere. With no gentleness, you tugged their helmet off, not caring that your nails were basically scratching at their face. It’d be the least of their worries once you’re done with them.
Instead of meeting the gaze of one of the annoying Stoll brothers, you stared at Luke Castellan - your biggest headache in all of Camp Half Blood. With a scowl, you tossed Luke’s helmet at his face, ignoring the way your heart pounded wildly at his carefree smirk as he caught his helmet with one hand.
Gods, if he were some other camper they would’ve gotten a beating from you just for talking to you like that. But Luke? He was the exception, always. You don’t know when he started to be the only person you could tolerate, maybe it was when he first beat you at the sword fighting arena, maybe it was when you landed a blow to his face the first time you fought and he laughed at the bruise that formed days later.
All you did know is that he was just another person that annoyed you and maybe even a friend.
“Don’t think you’re off the hook for that move, Castellan.” you warned, letting your hands drop to your side as you rose from the water. He only gave you a roll of his eyes and grinned at your words, as if he knew that he’d always be off the hook when it came to you. Without another word, you searched for your sword, hands searching along the shore at your feet for your blade.
Besides your quick temper, the only other gift you had gotten from your father was a sword that grew hot with your mood. It was efficient when you were in a bad mood, which hardly happened when you were teasing Luke during the games. He was your weakness, and a small part of you hated yourself for having one in the beginning.
The greatest heroes never had weaknesses, you told yourself. You reminded yourself of your conversation with Ares - Achilles, Hercules, Jason. They were arrogant and disrespected the gods. You were better than that, better than all of them combined. You had to be.
“All’s fair in love and war, right?” He smirked as he rose from the water, carefully wringing the water from his soaking curls. His armor and clothes clung to his body, giving you the exact shape of his arms, his chest, his everything. You bit the inside of your cheek from saying stupid and turned your attention to your missing sword.
It must’ve fallen from your grip while you were tumbling along the shore, humming somewhere beneath your feet. You felt the warmth of your blade and let out a small sigh of relief when you finally retrieved it, your blade slowly cooling with your mood. You’d have to clean it once you got back to your cabin, you thought more to yourself as you shook some of the water off of your sword. Maybe the Hephestus cabin can help with that, you thought bitterly.
“Too bad I don’t love you then,” you replied smoothly, wringing the water out of your hair. You tried to ignore the soaking feeling of your clothes sticking to your body and the added weight to your armor. Love was such a strong word, the most similar to your most commonly said word hate. Was all truly fair in love and war, even after everything your own father had gone through for the goddess of love?
Luke stayed silent, as if he didn’t have a response for once. You both let the drip, drip, drip of the water fall from your clothes, filling the silence. For once, you didn’t mind the quiet. There was something comforting in it, like you both didn’t need to say anything in order to keep each other company.
“You realize we’re the only ones here because our teams are trying to get us together, right?” Luke said, hands on his hips as he wrung the water out of his own clothes. You tried to ignore how close his shirt was to his torso, clingy desperately onto his toned chest and arms. Luke’s own cheeks flushed, whether from the fall or your attention you didn't know, but you didn’t comment on it.
You shrugged, huffing out a disbelieving laugh. You’d suspected that your teammates were up to something when they started to push for you to take a path on your own instead of leading your own unit like usual. But when Clarisse brought up that you wouldn’t need the campers to find Luke, you agreed. It seemed like a good point at the time but looking back, you could definitely see why she was so pushy to get you to go on a separate route where only Luke would be.
“What are you trying to say?” You asked, raising a brow at Luke. You busied yourself with the straps of your armor, checking the already tied straps for imaginary tears and rips along the fabric. Your hands shook at his words, at the implication of what he’s saying, at what your teams are plotting for both of you.
There was no way Luke caught onto this plan before you, not when he’s busy tending to claimed and unclaimed children most of the day. Not when he’s the first person to rise in the morning and the last to go to bed, going as far as to wish you goodnight while you finish your nightly workout. Not when his spot is always beside yours during the campfire sing-a-long and volunteers to be your partner during sparring lessons.
There was just no way, you told yourself. Luke is a headache, and nothing more.
As if he was reading your thoughts, Luke gave you a knowing look and you rolled your eyes at him. He was so annoying, with his stupid smirk and disarming laugh, but a small part of you didn’t mind that it was always directed towards you.
“Do I need to spell it out for you?” he asked with a huff, cheeks reddened at your obliviousness - or was that from the heat? The more you teased and talked to Luke the more the lines blurred between you two. Did friends always make your heart skip a beat, especially when they made eye contact with you?
You shrugged, not trusting your own voice to carry an air of nonchalant when you didn’t even feel relaxed. The last thing you needed was to give Luke another reason to poke fun at you until you turned red.
“Go out with me,” he said softly, eyes full of hope. His teasing tone was gone, even his smirk was completely wiped. For a moment, you saw Luke’s true feelings, his mask wiped from his face for once - completely vulnerable and utterly smitten for a daughter of Ares.
You hummed in response, your own heart pounding wildly at his words. Was this what you wanted to hear after months of pining and teasing, of lingering glances and touches? You knew the answer, you knew what you wanted to say so badly.
But the game came first, you needed this win before you could do anything else in your life. There’d be no point in trying to live your life if Ares didn’t acknowledge you again. “Go out with me, what?” you asked, desperately trying to stall for time. Your team should’ve gotten the flag already, so why are they taking so long to come back?
“Please,” he breathed out, wasting no time by playing along. Your heart skipped a beat at his willingness to ask so softly and sweetly. Luke was too good for you, always the first one to lend a hand and the last one to ask for something in return.
You didn’t know how to phrase the words I’d like to. Everything within you was made to destroy, crafted with bloodied knuckles and never ending bruises. You were not sweet by any means, hardly like the smooth talking Aphrodite cabin or the eloquently spoken Apollo cabin. You were everything everyone hated about Ares, more fluent in violence than anything else.
But if Ares could find solace in the laughter loving goddess even if his scarred hands were harsher than her softened ones, you supposed you could find solace in Luke Castellan too.
Somewhere in the distance, people screamed in victory and a horn sounded. The thundering sound of weapons clanking against shields came closer and closer. Among the trees, you could spot a blue flag held up high as surrounding campers cheered and barked in celebration. Your team had gotten the flag - the Ares cabin had redeemed themselves once more.
A small smile tugged at your lips as you watched your half siblings celebrate in victory. Among the already forming crowd was Clarisse, electric spear in the air as she let out a war cry. The campers with red painted armor followed her cry and raised their own weapons in the air, the sound of dozens of demigods yelling out echoing throughout the forest.
“Ask me that tomorrow,” you said softly, fixing your gaze back to Luke. The softness in his features were replaced with confusion, his brows furrowing and a small frown tugging at his lips instead of his smile. It took almost all of your willpower not to laugh at the sudden change of his expression.
“Tomorrow?” he sighed in disbelief, defeat in his eyes at your statement. You nodded, amused at his deflated look. He looked so small like this, his personality completely different from the carefree and easy going guy that strolls through camp. It didn’t suit him, you wanted him to smile again, to give you that love stricken face you mistakenly took for teasing. “Don’t play with me, just answer the question.”
“I believe you’ll be busy with kitchen duty tonight,” you said with a smile, nodding towards your team. Clairesse was still waving the stolen flag in the air with the echoes of cheers surrounding her. Right behind your team, Annabeth looked defeated, rubbing at her face as she talked to Percy Jackson about who knows what. The son of Poseidon glanced over at you and Luke and gave you a thumbs up, as if he were also part of this plan. You didn’t doubt it. “So ask me again tomorrow.”
Luke smiled at your statement, newfound hope gleaming in his eyes as you made your way to your siblings. They roared in excitement, lifting the flag and some hitting their helmets against yours in celebration.
You laughed for the first time in a long while, a new sense of freeing happiness and excitement washing over you. There was something new in the air, at least between Luke and you, and it was a four lettered word that started with the letter L.

Percy Jackson is canonically punk and should be potrayed as such:A meta of sorts by an irl punk
Percy within every single book, including sidestories, fills out every requirement for being punk
Nonconformity/most likely transgenderism:He's amab but gender neutral/feminine presenting and it's a running theme and core trait of his he's nothing like traditional men to the point it was a major plot in Titans's Curse of him proving himself to Zoe and is always potrayed as and proven to be correct
Direct action:A lifelong bully beater which escalated into fighting the goverment in the form of an actual pantheon
Anarchism:'Does not like to be restrained' and encourages the same of everyone else no matter what rules there are against it and finds the idea that going against society is bad to be nothing but privileged loser mentality
Anti-capitalism:Hates rich people due to growing up poor and therefore on classism and refuses to accept any kind of power specifically because it's corruptive and he knows it facefirst
Activism:Helps mythos beings that're seen as lesser live better lives such as him telling the gods to pay child support(bonus points for never wanting immortality at all and actively abhoring the idea)and with ordinary things too(willingly lending a hand whenever asked and even when not even if it's not a world saving deal)and participates in Rachel's charity events and protests with her in the mortal world
Sense of community:Looks out for other minorities specifically(including the enemy sided ones as seen with Chris and Ethan and instant forgiveness of Silena!!)but especially the younger ones because they need to the most,to the point he basically adopts them as younger siblings and pseudo-kids,including riding harder than anyone else for a lil darkskin black girl(Hazel)except her actual brother
And finally, listens to punk music:Alluded to frequently and confirmed to listen to The Ramones as he gifted Nico a shirt of them
Percy is also mentally disabled(audhd, dyslexia, ptsd and bpd),poor and was accidentally made afrolatino. The last one isn't simply a headcanon but a concrete canon only with no contradiction reading of texts-Percy is from El Barrio, insulted a group of classmates in Som by calling them 'rich white boys',has 'a mediterranean complexion' which is an umbrella term for brown skin and the shade is never specified and quite literally gets profiled in the mortal world all the time and he says it's always happened to him. It's important to note Sally was played by a black woman in the musical and that Percy is much more aware and therefore respectful of racial and gender dynamics than explicitly white characters, the gender part being relevant due to how gender and blackness' intersection is treated
And Percy's main villain and direct opposite is Luke, who is a VERY hardcore fascist and has illusions of being the martyr of the gods Percy actually is.Luke's life was pretty easy compared to Percy's,to most demigods in fact!,but he was a much worse person and this is absolutely a reflection of the victim complex openly violent bigots have. He's constantly telling Percy he dosen't understand how bad the gods are but the thing is,Percy instantly knew they were bad. He'd been dealing with gods, male authority figures, since he was a lil boy so he never liked them even in TLT because he sensed their bad intentions they hid behind masks he could never wear unlike them which they punished him for.As the story progressed,Percy fought against Luke's supremacy with zero hesitation as he couldn't not take him down in his heart and did other good things for everyone who deserved it along the way and even made detours to accomplish it sometimes and Luke didn't do any damage to the gods or fix the system or even nurture the Titan's Army members despite his supposed want to give them a better world and that's how propaganda works irl.Percy gets called 'stupid' for not articulating himself perfectly or elegantly most of the time but he's not at all,he's just audhd and bpd and he walks the walk every time and Luke is the reverse of him,his speeches and promises being grooming, gaslighting and propaganda.Quite literally,Luke grew up in a fantasy land(Camp Half-Blood)and Percy grew up in the real world(ours)
The 'should be potrayed as such' bit refers to how often Percy is ooc'd into a punk stereotype made by normies instead of legit punk rep.Percy is punk as a survival tactic, out of a wish for a better world for everybody and just natural traits he has due to his life experiences. He's not 'trying to look cool',he's an asshole because he's traumatized as fuck and never learned how to mask and is a cocky asf yet self-loathing combo in the same way many black men are,not like a white fuckboy who think he a bad bitch 'cause he's a misogynist 'ironically' and has a janky ahh mohawk. He's also uncaring of 'ruining his image' and has cutesy/kiddy interests in addition to punk ones openly and thinks positively of femininity as proven by his descriptions and interactions with the femme girls of the verse. He said Annabeth has 'princess hair' and it's a physical wince moment when you find out Annabeth is a butch who hates femininity for herself but is fixed by Leah Jeffries' role and makes perfect sense princess-y black girls is his canon type considering 'names have power' and 'Perseus and Andromeda'.Percy being black4black plays into him being afropunk, which is the perfect kind of punk for him considering the rest of this and how punk was started by black people for character accuracy and historical accuracy
In a representation way!Sorry Luke apologists and gods apologists as you self-proclaim but not all history is good history and many,if not most, greek people are rightfully disgusted by their ancestors' treatment of women, transgenderism and pedestary in the same way a lot of japanese people are against perpetuating their country's imperialist background as they correctly believe it's nothing but backwards thinking that hurt and still hurts people and should've never existed as a result and same goes for tons of cultures of color you use as scapegoats without listening to or even caring about the people of color who made them.Just like you do punk culture in fact!Luk.ercy and Goddsshipping automatically makes Percy and you a poser as you can't be punk and support fascism or corrupted systems and yeah, hooking up with people who're doers and in charge of them counts. You are what you eat,to use the best phrase that fits i can think of.'Shipping isn't activism' isn't said by anybody who does what is activism.Y'all don't know what it means is clearly the reason and you refuse to learn what and how to do it 'cause you're too busy writing Dead Dove Do Not Eat of a kids book series to 'fight cencorship' instead of fighting for rights and decolonization(did you even know that word exists?Yeah, didn't think so)
In conclusion:Perseo Isadore Jackson is canonically punk and in the hands of a way better author, would be explicitly afrosolarpunk, audhd, transfem bigender and reach the full potential he deserves, wants and has earned by revolutionizing the greco-roman mythos world and having a black pastel punk girlfriend he's childhood best friends to lovers with and is the same as him yet his opposite because book!Percabeth was a mistake and ooc on every level for every character even besides Percy and Annabeth themselves.Handing him a blue loaded burger and his estrogen i diy'd rn since he finished cleaning his piercings

Trafficking technically being canon in pjo still- it just drives me insane.
Like yeah, it might be one(two if you wanna count ttc opening conflict) instances we see
BUT THAT STILL NOT GREAT
I mean it also is great for fic ideas- surprised I hadn't really seen it- but still.
Just insane to me. It's not even "the Titan Army is paying good money for demigods" it's "Luke Castellan is paying good money for demigods."
Like no matter what way your splice it Luke is at least complicit in it.
I know I get silly when writing him with the Leeluke stuff, but there's a reason I tend to focus on divorce Leeluke
Because it's so hard not to write him getting the consequences of his actions. Because he DOES STUFF LIKE THIS.
Especially with how I write Lee. If Lee found out the Luke was at least complicit in what's pretty much the buying of other demigods, he'd kill him with his bare hands. Being stuck as Kronos' vessel would seem like a mercy compared to how badly Lee would kick his ass.
Anyway... looks at my Fae!Lee/were-coyote!Luke au wip Suddenly that doesn't seem too out of pocket anymore...

I had a thought after reading your Child of Hera demigod hcs, I feel like Hebe would take her demigod half-sibling to the Garden of Hesperides to protect them from Lamia, what do you think?
Aforementioned Child of Hera Headcanons: [LINK]
I think it could work but there are a few things to consider if you want this to work within the PJO universe and ‘canon’ plotline:
PRE-(SECOND) TITAN WAR: I don’t think it would work as well as you might think in this timeline as the canon plot of the entire Percy Jackson and the Olympian series starts. This is because in the 3rd book “The Titan’s Curse”, we see the Garden of Hesperides; where Zoe Nightshade and Percy have to get past the garden and the Hesperides and Ladon to get to Annabeth, Artemis, and fight Atlas. I could see it being a plot point where if Hebe did indeed take Hera-Demigod to the Garden, where its all good for a bit, but until the wars begins to form and either the Hera-demigod is threatened by the Titans and Luke; either manipulated to join them against the gods, kidnapped and held hostage, and etc. It could be another plot point adding in that Luke would notice the Hera-demigod when he went to pick the golden apples from the quest by Hermes. He would be surprised like anyone that Hera would have a demigod but also furious/jealous that why does the Hera-demigod get to be taken by their godly sibling and sheltered in the Garden of Hesperides from the monsters while everyone other demigod is forgotten and left to fight/die by the monsters. I can also see this being used as fuel for Luke to convince the unclaimed demigods about how unfair the gods are and potentially, make the other children angry at the gods and the Hera-demigod for the clear favouritism. The children of Hebe, those who were unclaimed then and those later would still feel bitter at Hebe and Hera-demigod even more-so. If the Hera-demigod hasn’t run-away due to the dangers and Lamia hot on her heels after learning after her location from the war, I can see the child of Hera either being a quest to be rescued and escorted to camp or where they have to fight their way to safety to either camps. The Hesperides would’ve been forced to let go the child of Hera from their protection and care either by Atlas, Luke, the Titan army, etc, either way.
POST TITAN WAR: The part where the children of Hebe being bitter at Hebe and the Hera-demigod would still be relevant; regardless Hebe brought her mortal sibling on her own accord or on the command of Hera. Cause, regardless of the time it takes place, the animosity would still apply. There’s also the addition that while the child of Hera may not be officially part of the “Big Three”, they’re still around that level and just as dangerous and powerful. So there’s a big plot point of why the Hera-demigod is allowed to be sheltered at the Garden and being the exception and everyone’s emotions to it. However long they may be there for, they can’t stay there forever. Whether it’s because of the age and the Garden unable to protect them much longer, the Titans, or what have you, they still have to get to Camp to properly learn, be safe, and most importantly, be able to live. Even Lupa couldn’t/wouldn’t keep any of the child Demigods in their care for that long before they have to set foot outside. So again with the Quest thing where certain heroes have to rescue/escort the Hera-demigod to Camp, facing Lamia, and etc. There’s also the whole thing to consider where they were for the whole Second Giant War; especially with the whole involvement of Hera/Juno with Percy and Jason, Frank Zhang and his life tied to the stick of wood, etc etc.
Overall, it’s a good premise and opens up to a lot of fanfic if people ever so desired to write it. If I was in a position to write a long fanfic about it, I would go about it either way. The Hera-demigod would still function as a hero that Hera would have to use in her quests and stuff, so I don’t think keeping them in the Garden could be a long term thing anyways. There’s also the addition that the child of Hera won’t be alone in either pre- or post-titan war; because if Zoe Nightshade is added in as one of the Hesperides, then I don’t see why not have another Hesperides around that goes on to accompany/protect the Hera-demigod because they got attached. There are a whole lists of variations of the named Hesperides and how many they are, so you have your pick of names.
Thanks for the lovely idea and the ask!

My brain can’t stop thinking of AUs lol (Pt. 1)
An AU where Luke just has a feral group of Demigod kids when he’s found by Grover.
Thalia, Jason, Leo, and Annabeth are just chilling with Luke.
Luke being lets just say extremely most hesitant to join Kronos because he still has three insane kids to take care of.
But ultimately he does betray camp and it’s probably right around S.o.M when they find out it was Luke who poisoned Thalia’s tree.
Luke possibly trying to recruit them + Percy who has unofficially joined Luke’s band of kids (Jason joining??)
The titans curse with both Luke and Percy trying to get their hands on the Di Angelo kids (both of them getting one in the end? Luke getting Bianca and Percy getting Nico)
Bianca like, not dying lol.
Battle of the Labyrinth, Annabeth finally getting a quest, chasing a mysterious demigod through the labyrinth and in the end, the explosion of Mt. Helens, the demigod army invading camp, Jason becoming the host for Kronos, possibly trying to revive some other titans in the same way as well with Luke and Bianca preparing to become hosts for other titans. Bianca not feeling right about joining Luke anymore and leaving after seeing her brother nearly killed by Kronos and his army.
The Last Olympian with Percy having to fight Jason, one of his first friends at camp, a reminder of innocence and how easily Percy could’ve been Jason after his mother died.
Leo finally stepping up from the sidelines with newfound courage to fight Kronos, especially after the death of Beckendorf.
Luke and Annabeth finally coming face to face properly. Annabeth facing the Titan that’s inhabiting Luke’s body, and Luke’s death (which I imagine be very similar to canon especially because he’s not Kronos host).
Bianca and Ethan coming face to face (who probably have a very interesting history). Ethan’s revenge and Bianca just wanting to save her brother.
Having a way more deadly and bloody battle of manhattan than in canon.
The death(??) of Jason and the getting together of Percy and Annabeth after the final battle finally allowed them to push through their final obstacle in the way: themselves and their grief.
The Lost Hero when Percy goes missing after all they’ve been through and Annabeth doesn’t have anybody left except Leo (and Nico to an extent). When these mysterious demigods shows up and nobody knows why.
The Son of Neptune when Percy has been wandering for months only remembering a set of blonde hair. When he gets issued on a quest with nothing except two random demigods and his instinct.
Mark of Athena when the seven has finally formed (thinking Nico, Frank, Percy, Annabeth, Leo, and two other demigods). When wisdoms daughter finally has a prophecy on her shoulders when she walks to her death.
House of Hades when Percy falls alone because he doesn’t want Annabeth to die down there in the horrors of Tartarus because enough people have died already.
Blood of Olympus when Percy deals with the aftermath of his journey, when Gaea’s secret weapons: Hazel and Piper are finally revealed, when Gaea is hoping to get the true seventh wheel, the strongest demigod of the era on her side. When Percy takes on the prophecy himself because the Battle of Manhattan can’t happen again (he still has nightmares about everyone who died).
lol I dunno just a thought, those two other characters would probably be ocs because
1. Hazel probably would never be found by Nico because of when Bianca dies and how old Nico would be and how he understands.
2. Piper doesn’t have a reason to be loyal to the demigod world if/when she’s found. There’s no Leo or Jason for her. She’s alone and as far as she’s concerned she’s always been alone. Why not join Gaea and bring out the system that had a part in her staying alone.
As for the plot of HoO itself I wanna change it a little cuz ngl it’s kind of basic lol. One of the major problems is that Gaea doesn’t have a reason for her actions that really makes you think like Luke’s did imo. Could have her embrace the “mother” part of Mother Earth lol.
Maybe she’s mad because the children of the earth, her children have been disrespected and abused for too long, pawns of the gods, maybe on this timeline when Kronos tried to recruit her (which I think he did?? Not sure) she wasn’t able to reform fast enough and her actions are driven by the guilt of the grieving mother who wasn’t able to protect her children in time idk just SOMETHING to make her not one dimensional and boring lol.
I probably wouldn’t write this but it would be cool if someone did.

was thinking about rogue demigods and accidentally wrote two hundred and sixty nine words about them
- its canon that Nero would scoop up random demigods off the street
- nero would hire rogue demigods to take out demigods- especially powerful ones- who made it to adulthood (and anyone else who was getting in his way)
- adult demigods existing was inconvenient for nero so he hired a bunch of 16 year olds to kill them all. slay.
- theres a rogue safehouse in new york state that almost every active rogue knows about- like the waystation but for mercenaries
- most active rogues are based in nyc- close to chb
- since most rogues either a) decide not to go to camp on the way there or b) leave camp
- there are a few roman rogues but most demigods who would be rogues just retired + moved to new rome, or moved back in to the mortal world
- most rogues have nicknames - names have power
- most rogues stick in groups of 2-4, they learnt very quickly that more demigods = more monsters
- safe houses are an exception to this. most of them are charmed beyond belief
- like iris provides IMs for camp half-blood, arke provides messaging for rogue demigods (arke was on the titans side during the titanomachy and is pretty anti-chb/olympians in general, a sentiment most rogues relate to)
- nero is a dick, but he does give you a weapon on your first job and lets you keep it. most rogues do with that what they will.
- contrary to popular belief, most rogues were not part of the titans army (mainly because the TA is mostly dead). most of them left camp half-blood before Luke started the 2nd titanomachy

What would Kronos' victory look like if the Golden Fleece plan in the SOM had worked out?
UHHHH this is a TRICKY ONE. However, I am not one to back down from a challenge so here we go :
So from what I remember from that book was that the Golden Fleece was supposed to speed up Kronos' regeneration around 10x (?) and NOT immediately revive him. With that in mind, how do I think would it have played out? For simplicity's sake, I'm going to largely skip the exact details of HOW Luke got that fleece. Base assumption is that the rough plot of SOM still happened, but Luke managed to locate our group somewhere between getting the fleece and Clarisse flying back home. As mentioned above it wasn't going to immediately revive Kronos, instead just speeding up his recovery immensely. Now I'm not quite sure how exactly it would work. Like would the Fleece have to be near Kronos for the effects to work? Would it be enough to be there briefly like how it was with Thalia? For this, I'll be going with the Fleece only needing to be with Kronos for a relatively short amount of time. I'm going with this because that way, we can also bring Thalia back in. I do genuinly believe that Luke was going to give the Fleece to camp once he had been done with it. Kronos wouldn't have had much of a problem with it. ESPECIALLY after he got the fleece to speed up his recovery. The prophecy would still be a think, so waking Thalia up would still be in their interest. Luke having succeded in getting Kronos the Fleece would secure his position as the head of the Titan Army. He'd also most likely secure Kronos' favor (to some degree atleast). Thus he wouldn't have been replaced with Atlas, thus the plot of TTC probably wouldn't even have happened like that. In canon Kronos comes back at the end of BotL. Since in this his recovery is sped up significantly I'm going to say that Kronos will be coming back at the end of what would have been TTC instead. Now here is where it takes a BIG turn in the story because I also think that Luke would have been the one to wake up Thalia. He probably would have just gone to Camp Halfblood, used the Fleece on the tree and then taken the newly freed Thalia back with him to the Princess Andromeda.
There I do thing that Luke genuinly would have managed to get Thalia on his side, sooner or later. I do think that Thalia's hatred for Luke in canon came from a mix of A) the way that Luke has been presented to her by the adults/gods/Chiron and B) lacking his P.O.V But since she's ´with Luke now after waking up she wouldn't have had those biased views and had gotten to see Luke's point of view. So yeah, Thalia's joined up with Luke now. Kronos probably would have promised Thalia that he'd protect her from her assured death in the prophecy too. Since at that point people all though that the Hero would die. Since Luke didn't fail to get the fleece and had Thalia join him, he wouldn't have been made Kronos' host. He'd also stand in high favour with him and be well respected within the army. Since Kronos had the fleece in this, I think that he'd probably have been able to immediately manifest in his true titan form. I already mentioned it above, but I think that Kronos would be coming back at the end of TTC. More specifically, on the day of Thalia's 16th birthday. This lays with my opinion that prophecies are highly stretchable in terms of content and nothing is truly set in stone besides the prophecy coming true. The decision the prophecy talks about would have been Luke deciding to remain loyal to Kronos and pulling through with it aswell as Thalia pledging her allegiance on her 16th birthday. Giving Kronos the final push to be revived.
The part about the cursed blade is what I'm going to put off for later, dw you will see soon enough. We basically end up with the following situation : -Kronos is fully resurrected in his full titan form from the start at the end of TTC -Thalia's on Luke's side -Luke's alive and heavily in Kronos' favor -Neither the gods nor camp would have had any time to really prepare themselves, as they likely would have been largely unaware of what exactly has been going down. .....................Yeah the gods are SCREWED. From here on the procedure is pretty obvious. Kronos takes his army, leads it on Olympus and just destroys the entire thing. And most likely the entirety of Manhatten too in the fight. I do think that Kronos would have kept his promise of a golden age for demigods to some degree. In the way that he would want a solid army of them for himself to do his bidding. Luke and Thalia both would probably have ended up very high ranking the grand schemes of things. Kronos ate his kids to avoid prophecy, he may be cruel but not stupid. Demigods are valuable assets, and so far Luke and Thalia have been serving Kronos extremely well. I do think he'd have rewarded the demigods of his army. Especially Luke and Thalia. Probably with riches and power. Now ngl, not sure what would have happened to Camp. There is a chance that Kronos would have decided to just... kill them all. But I do think that Luke probably wouldn't have let that happen without a fight. He'd probably reason with Kronos to let them join him. And I do think Kronos would have allowed it. Simply for the fact that the demigods just wouldn't really have been a threat to him at that point and Luke is held in high regard here.
Chiron is dead for sure though. The situation would basically be "do or die" for camp. Either join Kronos, or die. Most would have taken Kronos. The only one I can see putting up a reasonable fight would be Percy and maybe Clarisse. But in both cases I think they'd be persuaded by their friends to still take the deal, even if against their will. Probably with the reasoning that they could still attempt to build a resistance against Kronos from within. Now let's be for real here. There's only one real option for the guy who'd be taking charge of camp in this version once Mr. D and Chiron are gone. Jup, all say it with me. Luke Castellan and Thalia Grace.
Basically Luke's the lone ruler of CHB now. Kronos probably wouldn't really wanna deal with some "lowly demigods" since there are just so many other things to do. So I think Luke and Thalia would have pretty much free reign. The only requirement being that Camp's supposed to be run loyal to Kronos. And honestly? I think they'd do a pretty good job with Camp. I mean Luke's already been running the Hermes cabin for YEARS.Running Camp wouldn't have been too much of a change. At first there are of course... problems. Lots of distrust and hostility towards the "traitors". But they most likely led to nothing, since Luke and Thalia simply would have been too powerful. I also think that the demigods from the Titan's Army probably would have rejoined CHB again now that it's under Luke and Thalia. That means that Camp is now FLOODED with people loyal to Luke. Frankly said, stuff like resistance wouldn't have had a real chance. There would be lots of improvements though. Like more cabins for example. And better recognition even for the minor demigods. And honestly? After a while of all this I genuinly do think camp would settle down. Most Demigods would just....... settle. They might not LOVE the situation, but it is what it is. Luke certainly would switch back to his more relaxed and friendly personality. Annabeth most certainly would have broken sooner or later with both Luke and Thalia on Kronos' side. Things would have been looking up for a while until............ we all know Kronos and the gods are the same. Sooner or later Kronos would have started using the demigods just the same way as the gods did. And with that I mean as canon fodder for stupid quests. And as soon as Luke sees that? Yeah, he sees red. Because at the end of the day Luke never cared for Kronos. To him Kronos was as much a means to and end as Luke was to him. The things Luke cared about were his friends and family. The other demigods.
As soon as he realizes Kronos get's them killed too? Yeah he's starting revolt Nr.2. Again with Thalia's support, and most likely with that of the demigods too. The minor gods who joined Kronos probably also would realize sooner or later that Kronos ain't all that much better than the OG gods which means they possibly also joined. From then on.... I'm not sure. Probably another war could have happened, there are many ways this could go. Would Luke win? Would Luke lose? Idk. But you know what I do think? Luke would, sooner or later, get killed by Kronos during that second revolt.
Remember when I said that we'd return to the part of the prophecy about the cursed blade? Yeah, in this world I think that that WOULD actually refer to Kronos' scythe. And Luke's (The Hero's) soul would have been reaped by it, due to Luke having died in battle against Kronos during his Second Revolt.

"Told something that came directly from Luke"
Correction, something that Percy had come to a conclusion of on his own. He's acknowledges that this is unfair from day one, he just wasn't in any position to do anything about it since, you know, he's a kid.
"and became possible only because the TA almost destroyed these very gods?"
And this makes Percy support the status quo why exactly? By your logic, someone who implements social reform as a response to an upsurge in violent crime supports whatever came beforehand by default.
"Again, there is no evidence that the Titans are worse"
Their army is literally made up of 90% of man-eating monsters. They conscripted kids to their side by taking advantage of their insecurities and trauma to turn them into cannon fodder for someone who couldn't care less about their plight. They unleashed a monster that at that very moment was causing widespread destruction across a continent and no doubt wrecking countless lives. Luke explicitly says that Kronos's rule would drive humanity back to their caves in the very first book. And as for them putting the mortals to sleep, that was only for the sake of convenience, not the goodness of their heart. It was PERCY'S forces that were concerned for getting them out of danger.
"but you already ignored this part the first time."
No, I just read the books, something I'm pretty sure at this point you did not.
Bold to assume that while being a pussy anon, dear 😘
Since when being a kid working as excuse in this universe, especially considering he fought the war. I'm just remembering all this kids who decide to never coming back in CHB actually choosing not support status quo. Especially then it's clear — demigods could not fight (Ares cabin case).
So yeah, Percy and co actively supported the shitty status quo and were the main reason why there was unnecessary deaths. No excuses here.
Oh yeah, and it's just so happened that this ‘into caves’ wasn't there in future not in words nor in action. Absolutely not weird thigs of the begging, uh-huh.
And absolutely zero understanding what is Protagonist-Centered Morality, considering how smoothly turned to be monster and demigod allies. Absolutely not Rick who doesn't want to think through logical explanations, but the fact is that the gods are somehow to blame for this, since the war against them has become a turning point.

Hi hi hi I was wondering if you could write headcanons about cg!Luke or cg!Clarisse with a little that has an age range of 5-9? Or little!Clarisse headcanons? (You can pick the one you do im jusy hyperfixated on Clarisse rn 😭)
LUKE AND CLARISSE WITH A LITTLE WHO’S 5-9
A/N: I’m gonna do both because I love both of them so much. And I really hope this is right, I’m personally a younger regressor so I hope I didn’t get anything wrong! ^^’
Also this will include book spoilers on Luke’s part-
Clarisse La Rue
Clarisse is usually very unemotional. She is angry, aggressive, and violent.
Except towards you.
When it comes to you, she’s extremely protective, loving, and supportive. She would shield you from any sort of harm or danger and she’d gladly drive her spear through anyone who dared even look at you wrong.
She’s a very protective caregiver. She loves taking you outside and playing with you, but you must hold her hand at all times, and you aren’t allowed to touch anything dangerous.
She likes being called “Mom” or “Mama”, they make her feel really protective of you and she thinks they sound really cute coming from you.
Whenever you guys go outside, she has to hold your hand unless you’re playing outside or running around or something with her permission and she’s keeping an eye on you. She really likes hanging out in the strawberry fields with you. It’s peaceful and she tends to steal strawberries for you both.
She doesn’t have much money, and she rarely ever leaves Camp Half-blood, but she tries to buy you toys if you want any! But you mostly just play outside and play games with her to keep yourself entertained.
Clarisse is actually surprisingly really good at comforting people, so if you regress because of trauma and today is a bad day, or if you just need some comfort, she’s got you. If you want to ramble, she’ll hold you in her arms and let you ramble. If you want a distraction, she’ll play games with you until you’re bored. Whatever you want, she’ll do it. Because she loves you.
Because you’re a bit older, she isn’t too strict with you, however like I said, she has outside rules for your safety. She also has a strict bedtime for you and makes sure you eat enough during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you don’t eat enough, you’re not allowed to play until you finish your food. If you don’t go to bed on time, you won’t get to have any sweets for a couple days.
She actually doesn’t mind if her friends know or if people see. Yeah, she has a reputation to uphold and a persona to keep up, but like I said, she’s extremely protective and aggressive to literally everyone but you and a couple other people.
God forbid anybody try to say anything mean to you period, especially about your age regression. That will not end well for them. She doesn’t even try to use words, she just punches them. Girlboss.
Luke Castellan
So, this takes place after he betrays and joins the titans. You also join the titan army. I do not see him becoming a caregiver before he betrays, mainly because he knows he’s going to leave soon, and he doesn’t really see the point in developing such a strong, emotional bond with someone only to just. Leave. The only reason he was close to people like Annabeth was because he knew her long before he knew he was gonna betray.
Everything is very dangerous on the Princess Andromeda. There’s monsters literally everywhere you look, and hordes of weapons scattered about too. It is kind of a war ship in a way, after all.
You are literally the only person he truly cares about anymore. You’re the only person he hasn’t manipulated or lied to. He only cares about you, and he’s extremely protective over you.
He feels bad, but you have to stay in his room with him whenever you regress. It’s too dangerous otherwise. He doesn’t know what other people might try to do to you. He can’t risk it. You’re his baby and he doesn’t want you getting hurt.
He doesn’t mind what you call him, but parental ones like “Dad”, make him feel really special. Especially if your godly parent is your father, because it makes him feel like you’re slapping the gods in the face and he finds that funny!
He buys you toys whenever he goes out off the ship for whatever reason. He spoils you literally so much. You have all of the Calico Critters plus all the play sets and houses.
He is also actually really good at comforting and supporting you. He’ll hold you, reassure you, and give you little kisses all over your face whenever you need love and support. He gets really bad nightmares, so if you have a nightmare and regress, he’d be glad to hold you and comfort you. He knows what it’s like.
Like I said, he is strict with you. You cannot leave the room when little. You must go to bed by 9pm. You shower every other day. You eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner at set times everyday. You don’t get desert if you’ve misbehaved and he isn’t afraid to put you in time out of take away a couple toys if he feels like he needs to or the situation calls for it.
This is a very private thing for him, mostly because he’s surrounded by monsters and other. More violent people. All the time. And also he’s fighting a war and you’re one of his weak spots, so he’s not exactly gonna go flaunting it around. He isn’t ashamed of it or anything, he actually wishes you guys could be more open about it. It’s just too dangerous!
If anybody were to find out and they said anything mean about it, he would just get them killed. They’d be fed to the monsters on the ship or they’d just be thrown overboard. Either one he feels like. He won’t tolerate anybody talking bad about his little one.

Are there any new art askblogs youd like to see? I want to make one but I have zero ideas lol
Incredibly biased and entirely self-indulgent answers? Rogue demigods. Titan Army. Either-or, something along those lines. Also MCGA askblogs.
i LOVE love love rogue demigod stuff, I think it's very very fun and vastly unexplored. Also there's a lot of opportunity in there I think for a good askblog, because a demigod always on the move will work well with being able to introduce events and magic!anons and stuff for anons to ask in general if you so choose. Also there's enough character characters and time periods within the series you could work with to begin with, or you could easily do OC stuff. or AU stuff (Rogue!Annabeth? Rogue!Percy au? Rogue!Jason? Rogue!Reyna? etc etc)!
If you wanna do canon characters/canonverse: Alabaster, Ethan, Chris pre-BoTL, Luke & Thalia (& Annabeth) pre-series or Luke post-TLT, Thalia post-TTC/the Hunters in general, Reyna pre-joining the romans or post-series, Hylla/Amazons in general, the Waystation, Bryce Lawrence, Mimi (antagonist from Camp Jupiter Classified), Marcus (guy who got beheaded in Hidden Oracle), Alex pre-Hammer of Thor/LOTS of potential for the Norse, even Nico! There's a ton of options!
Titan Army askblog is mostly just an extension of that - just a multi-character askblog taking place during first series. LOTS of room to work in there; most of the canon TA characters don't have a lot of canon to them so you can go wild with it, TA fandom is starving so you will have an audience, very relevant right now with the show, OC/headcanon opportunity is immense, etc etc.
MCGA is kind of similar in most norse demigods are rogues before they die and we don't know a lot about them! A Hall 19 askblog would be so cute! And there's so much you could do with it!
Other thoughts: TKC askblog (similarly - not a lot of TKC fanon and a lot of stuff we don't know. What are the magicians up to? Who are some other magicians? Expand on characters we don't see much of, etc etc). There have been two or three Roman-centric askblogs but they kind of petered out and I'm very sad about it cause we know so little about the Romans in canon and it's fun. Again lots to work with there, especially depending on what era you pick (pre-HoO/Second Titanomachy era Romans askblog? 👀). AU and crossover askblogs are SUPER fun there used to be a ton of them and they were delightful (lots of Homestuck crossover/aus, Steven Universe aus, godswap aus, etc). And then of course tried and true classic you can never go wrong with an Ask The Argo II askblog.
Also not art askblogs but I am dying for more cosplay and voice acting askblogs. it's been so long. there are none. i miss them...
#pjo#riordanverse#askblogs#Anonymous#ask#if anybody makes more riordanverse askblogs of any variety PLEASE SEND THEM TO MEEEEEE#or any other riordanverse askblogs you find. im pretty sure i have most if not all of them on my list#i love askblogs so much i give them all a little kiss on the forehead#i still go back to super old inactive askblogs and scroll through them sometimes#its a fun dive through fandom history tbh#speaking of - rip all the deactivated old askblogs u_u i will remember you

Chapter VI; Manhattan
Took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do here but I did it, after a long while.
Word count: 1.3k

-Asnyox
A part of you wished that you only came to camp after this war. You were not prepared for the mental image of all your friends being hurt and the only way to escape this was to focus solely on the jobs you had. Your patients blurred together and you did everything in your capacity of helping. The world was no longer in direct risk, however that never brought you any calm.
Percy had taken the lead- but Manhattan was big, and the amount of people at camp was small. Especially since the Ares cabin had refused to join the fight. You wished you knew what was happening, but you simply didn’t. You were still unclaimed- so you got appointed to go with the Hermes cabin, and with your healer kit on your back and an unpracticed sword hand at the ready you ventured out there. Firstly to take a stand, but mostly to find those hurt around Manhattan and get them to the Empire State building. Somehow you were in the zone- you ignored your feelings as you worked, removing any thoughts related to the consequences of what was happening- ignoring the blood staining your hands.
Until the Manhattan bridge exploded. It was where the Apollo cabin had been situated, and for the first time you thought about your friends, how you cared for these demigods, how death was final. For the first time your heart dropped to your stomach, as you prayed to Apollo that his children were fine- that Will was fine.
The hours dragged on and you caught no sight of any Apollo camper. You never entered the Empire State Building, leaving whoever was hurt in the hands of those stationed there. You were tired, you wanted a break but a break meant laying down and crying. You never wanted to be here and stopping meant facing the possibilities that people were dead.
At some point someone told you the Ares cabin had joined the fight- you saw a glimpse of Will, but didn’t get further than a touch to the shoulder before you had to focus on another wounded, everything was fucked. Then, in another breath you heard from Travis the whisper that Silena had died- that she might’ve been the traitor. But maybe you misheard, and what did it matter. She died, for camp, for you and your friends. What did anything matter in this war?
The first breather you got was when Kronos showed his face. It was weird seeing Luke, a boy barely college age, leading an army. The horror that was the reality of his face and body carrying the titan Kronos was one you wouldn’t face. You were breathing heavily, clutching your kit close to you. At some point you had lost your sword, but a dagger was tugged into your belt. You couldn’t make out what the conversation was about- at some point you got caught near an explosion and although the ringing had stopped, the sound still sounded a bit muffled.
But that didn’t matter- you stood at the ready, for either an attack or to drag someone out of the fight and keep them alive. You stood ready, as you noticed the enemy forces behind Kronos stir, as they parted uncomfortable as if forced to. You weren’t sure how to act, so you simply stood still as a loud bark sounded, and you saw Mrs. O’Leary ran towards Percy, ignoring the monsters around, and just a moment later you saw him.
Nico, wearing a skull-shaped helmet. You slowly started making your way towards the front- if Nico was there you wanted to be near him in the fight- help him if he needed it. It wasn’t a rational thought, but you considered Nico your friend and that was reason enough. As you got closer you felt the ground rumble, and saw cracks appear underneath your feet. You jumped back as skeletal hands clawed their way out of the ground. The sky turned cold and you swore it got darker as a war horn sounded, and as the skeletons formed ranks.
An enormous chariot raced down Fifth Avenue, pulled by horses that resembled living shadows. The chariot was inlaid with obsidian and gold, depicting scenes of death. You could not believe your eyes as you realised that the person holding the reins was the Lord of the Dead, Hades and that behind him were Demeter and Persephone. You couldn’t help but smile as you realised that Nico had managed to convince his father to help the fight- that finally it was no longer Camp Half-Blood versus Kronos and his army, but that the gods were on your side.
Hades wore black armour and a cloak the colour of fresh blood. On top of his pale head was the helm of darkness: a crown that radiated pure terror. As you watched the crown changed shapes- monsters to bones to flames. Yet you looked away, fearing that if you got too close to the crown it might take your worst nightmares and change into the shape of those. Unlike the previous conversation, Hades’s voice reached far, and as you slowly inched closer- only stopped by the skeleton ranks- you could finally hear what was being said.
"Hello, Father. You're looking . . . young." The Lord of the Dead spoke.
"Hades," Kronos growled. "I hope you and the ladies have come to pledge your allegiance."
"I'm afraid not." Hades sighed. "My son here convinced me that perhaps I should prioritise my list of enemies. As much as I dislike certain upstart demigods, it would not do
for Olympus to fall. I would miss bickering with my siblings. And if there is one thing we agree on—it is that you were a TERRIBLE father."
Hades drew his sword, a double-edged Stygian blade etched with silver. "Now fight me! For today the House of Hades will be called the saviours of Olympus."
"I don't have time for this," Kronos snarled. Kronos struck the ground with his scythe. A crack spread in both directions, circling the Empire State Building. A wall of force shimmered along the fissure line, and you noticed that outside the barrier, car engines revved to life. Pedestrians woke up and stared uncomprehendingly at the monsters and zombies all around them. You saw that Nico took a turn towards the mortals and quickly followed, finally meeting up with him.
“Good to see you here!” You greeted Nico, spotting no injury on him, and therefore moving to his side so you would have his back while you made your way forward together. Nico didn’t say anything in return, but he glanced over quickly and you saw that he was smiling. Whether it was from seeing you or the general adrenalin you weren’t sure- but you did know that somehow the smile fit him, he deserved to be elated.
Suddenly a gun sounded, Nico’s sword was bigger than your dagger as he pushed you behind him and thrusted it out, right into the giant monster that was pushed your way. As it dissolved you saw a woman and man - both way too old to be from camp, and as Percy ran your way it became clear that the woman was his mother.
"When did you learn to fire a shotgun?" Percy demanded of his mother. The woman blew the hair out of her face. "About two seconds ago. Percy, we'll be fine. Go!" she urged him, and from next of you Nico agreed.
"Yes,we'll handle the army. You have to get Kronos!"
"Come on, Seaweed Brain!" Annabeth yelled from behind Percy, and he nodded as he looked at a pile of rubble . Before leaving Percy instructed Mrs. O’Leary to dig Chiron out. And then the hero ran off with his friends, to make the last stand in the war.
