The leaks abt the new Viktor VGU confirming they're replacing all of his old skins and designs with the Arcane version is.... So so disappointing. I want to cry in frustration. Old Lore Viktor is self made, he and Jayce clashed over a difference in morals that were still understandable and grounded in reality. Viktor left, created his new body HIMSELF and used his ingenuity to help the people of Zaun. To replace all that with a sleek iPad version where he just gets possessed by an infected magic orb and ascends to godhood or whatever is SUCH a let down.

i was going a little off about how well the squid game 2 narrative is put together as an act 2 of your classic act 1: establish, act 2: deconstruct, act 3: destroy (either the system or the players) dystopia narrative (in this case the act is a season but e.g. in the hunger games it was books) but unfortunately i was with my parents and cheering when thanos got chin stabbed and to defend (?) myself i said "i promise im not enjoying this as much as it seems like i am. im actually enjoying it more"

I forgot that I had saved the music from Mike’s Spotify playlist (Mike’s Bassment Beats) that Stranger Things made a few years ago and like… that playlist is NOT the music that a heterosexual would listen to

Like, Smalltown Boy by Bronski Beat is the *first* song added to that playlist. A song about running away from a small town that doesn’t accept who you are as a queer person. Yet people go “Mike and El are gonna have kids and get married and live happily ever after <3”

Are we talking about the same Mike? Because just based off of the playlist, Mike is not that end-of-the-cul-de-sac guy.

Several new wave artists were openly queer, and the music genre as a whole had overarching themes of non-conformity, both societally and romantically

Just a really interesting characterization for Mike, given that music is so important to the Stranger Things show.

When the interviewer asked when we should expect s5 to be coming out, that’s when Shawn mentioned that a little bit of an answer to that might be out there soon.

He actually mentions that this answer could be out by the time the video for this interview comes out, and since this interview was filmed mid-May and it’s now mid-June, I’m assuming we could be getting something soon or within the next couple months, potentially about a release date aka possibly a small teaser with 2025 stamped at the end…
