I love the little note in sketch #1. Posture & Attitude.

While I enjoy how expressive and adorable his body language is in all these drawings OH GOD I can only imagine the amount of back pain he must have!!

In drawing #8. I like how he’s the kind of guy to hold his arms behind his back while standing idly. Idk I think it’s cute when people do that!!!

I LOVE ALL THE DIFFERENT WAYS HIS HAIR AND BEARD ARE STYLED!!! I’d say #9. is my favorite!!!!

I also really like #2. #3. #6. and #12.

Speaking of #12. I LOVE the detail of the pen leaking an ink spot and him checking the pen!!!

I’m also OBSESSED with the wardrobe they gave him ♡(〃•ॢ 〃•ॢ 〃)!!! I feel like older men in movies are often given very plain colors. So seeing a bunch of different vibrant colors and patterns makes me SO HAPPY!!!!

So much of his personality is shown through his wardrobe and the care he puts into his appearance. Which makes the fact he loses it so much bigger!!

His more casual/summer outfits have me twirling my hair and kicking my feet (⁄ ⁄•⁄﹃ ⁄•⁄ ⁄)⁄♡!!!

ALSO IN DRAWING #2. HE HAS TATTOOS!!!! Sadly they only appear in that drawing but I think they really suit him and are so cool looking!!!

Can I just say I adore how passionate he is about his work!!! Johnathon gives me vibes he’s the kind of person who works in organized chaos. Messy to everyone else but him!!

#at this point it feels like a concept they made up for adaar/whatever qunari pcs for this one #this is something i’ve noticed recently where it’s like. nonhuman cultures feel like they’re being. what’s the word #reducing them all down to one culture #seeing this especially with elves bc we haven’t really spent time in an alienage since tabris #arianni and merrill are both dalish transplants. but alienages have their own culture #there’s elves whose ancestors were never in the dales. there’s elves who lived in the dales who never joined the dalish #but we don’t really get a whole lot about that #like. it’s very cool to have two dalish companions but i’m a little disappointed they’re the only elven companions yk #god. i could write a whole other post about elves #seeing this a little bit with dwarves too bc in harding’s v&v episode she brought up the stone a bunch #which i’ve already mentioned. could be an insight into surfacer culture that hasn’t assimilated into the chantry #or it could just be that they went ‘uhhh dwarf so they’re all the same’#i’m of two minds about varric’s beard for the same reason bc it was an intentional choice to have him be clean shaven #and maybe he’s gone through some offscreen character development. or it could be this again #it seems like a similar thing that happens to characters of color like #if they’re not white it’s either them or their parents who came from rivain/antiva/tevinter (thinking vivienne duncan isabela etc)#everyone needs an excuse for why they are where they are. except for white humans bc that doesn’t NEED an explanation. is how it comes acros #mine #taash

Something something, Ted calling Trent “Sport” after Trent points out that “sport, it’s quite the metaphor”. When they’ve both just heard Roy talk about his feelings about seeing Keeley again being back at Chelsea and agreeing that it’s better to be the one breaking up with someone rather than being broken up with to quit than being fired. (Also the song in the background going “you’re not alone, you’re not alone” as Trent and Ted are the only ones left in the office. After Ted jokingly “flirted” with Roy saying “if you wouldn’t have left Chelsea when you did, we probably never would have met.” And they show Trent’s reaction right after we’ve seen Roy’s. And Trent is smiling and then Roy looks at him and gestures towards Ted and Trent and Ted are left alone in the office where the aforementioned conversation about sport being used as a metaphor and Ted calling Trent “Sport” happens.

(I’m sorry if this doesn’t make any sense. It’s 4.30am.)

Beast Squadron - Phoenix Cell, 2BBY

featuring adult Omega, the cadets from the sarlacc planet, and adult Bayrn as their resident jedi!

Thoughts, details, and individual shots below the cut:

Their squad name is from the fact that both of their big inaugural missions were related to some sort of giant monster - the cadets killed the jungle sarlacc and Omega (with bayrn's not-help) released the zillo. All the cadets have a sarlacc motif on their armor (though Stak's isn't as visible since it's mostly on his helmet), and Omega and Bayrn both have a zillo design.

Omega was promoted from pilot to fulcrum-adjacent strategic officer. The cadets are probably commando cadets (or at least CCs of some sort), so Mox (beardy) is commando-adjacent, Deke (white streak) is ARC-adjacent, and Stak (buzzcut) is a lead pilot. Bayrn is just there to fill the token jedi position lol.

Some fun facts and details:

All the clones are the same height; Mox and Stak are just standing on boxes of varying heights to make the shot work

Mox and Stak got their scars in the same incident

Deke is also their squad's Tech Guy

Stak's tattoo is a thermal detonator over his inhibitor chip scar

Deke's jaig eyes are from the jungle sarlacc mission - the tattoos are a little blurrier/more faded in this one than in his younger-adult design

Adult Bayrn is here because Baby Bayrn was the only kid entirely unphased by extreme violence

Everyone except Omega has a Rebellion insignia somewhere on their armor

Omega has a Bad Batch skull (not super visible in this pic but it's poking out a bit) instead of the rebellion logo
