One thing I've always wanted to ask. What is Stanley and Stanford's relationship like in Reverse Falls and OurWorld AU?

hi! So, in other posts I've already answered this more or less, but I think it's nice to summarize it here!

First, in Reverse Falls

Ford and Stanley's relationship is less troubled than in GF, because Stanley didn't “ruin” Ford's future and break the machine. As long as Ford Gleeful is a complicated person who doesn't want to improve and Stanley Gleeful is a complicated person trying to improve, that's quite a pair. But is their relationship in itself a good one? Stanford doesn't show much affection, but he wanted to help Stanley by giving him an easy life and a place to have fun, giving him the Tent (even though that came with ulterior motives too, but still, part of it was him being a good brother).

Stanley, on the other hand, has complicated feelings towards Ford, despite everything he wants to support him in whatever project he's doing, but Stanley has a certain internalized homophobia (note: he's gay) in his mind, always judging Ford and Will and whatever they have. Anyway, it's a funny dynamic since Stanford doesn't even care about Stanley's looks.

Despite everything, they're good brothers most of the time, sharing parenthood to look after the Twins and cooperating with each other, nothing too intimate like the close-knit brothers they were when they were younger.

But on Our World AU

Here we have brothers who are completely contubated.

OwFord is in complete alienation from Bill, and all he thinks is that Stanley was the flawed twin who was made to ruin everything in his life, it's a terrible thought, but well, OwBill wants exactly that for Ford, since Stanley would be the key to Ford coming out of alienation.

Ford wants to stay away from Stanley because he is the link that causes the realization of everything he has done against the earth and humanity, Ford hates feeling this guilt, and that's why he avoids Stanley. But despite everything, he protected him from death in Weirdmaggedon and wanted him to have a new life in the new world.

Stanley, on the other hand, is an insistent brother, and rightly so. He wants to get Stanford away from Bill's manipulation and won't stop until he succeeds. He just wants to help his brother, and Ford's constant denial frustrates him more than it should, sometimes causing him to explode at his brother and threaten to take him away by force.

Eventually Stanley manages to save Ford… but it may already be too late…

Thinking about ragbros and their direct parallel to the twins. The traveler who is widely considered a hero and spends their days protecting teyvat and their sibling who is leading the abyss who seeks to destroy that. Yeah that's a direct parallel to diluc being the protector of mondstat while kaeya is a descendant of the abyss orders founder. Like. Do you think after the traveler finds out about kaeya and Diluc's past they're just. Absolutely floored by how similar they are? And hoyo wants us to be normal about this???

making an AU based off a show based off a doll line means I go WAY TOO HARD on trying to figure out the fits.

here are the designs for the Ever After High AU !!! :D the story this time around is like. WAY too complicated to explain in one post but like the super duper summarized version is this:

For generations the citizens of Ever After have been following the tradition of signing a magical contract in the Storybook of Legends promising to relive their parents' fairytales to keep the stories alive. But there's a bit of an uproar when the newest Evil Queen in ages refuses to follow her destiny and things start to get a little complicated as the students at Ever After High realize that maybe not everything has been played by the book in the past. When Normal breaks a magic mirror he REALLY wasn't supposed to find, his life and story are thrown into chaos. Add in some wildcard Wonderlandians and now nothing's going according to the script. Is a happily ever after really possible?

The AU doesn't follow the show to an exact T, we mostly borrowed some elements and the initial Raven and Apple conflict so there's quite a lot of surprises in store :3c

Decided to draw him in my style since I'm still struggling with the show's style, heh. I should probably sit down to do a proper study one of these days. But I'm happy with how this turned out! Still getting the hang of using an iPad (I was gifted one in my art absence on here, so no more phone drawing for me unless I'm posting old stuff).

I love how she's all grimey (affectionate) the visible dirt on her skin, and her greasy looking hair and bangs that get in her eyes. Come back to me little grungy young Astrid I miss you and your anger issues </3

WWX stans saying he would have been the best uncle and Jin Ling's favorite uncle like we didn't see the man see Jin Ling go through the most horrifying event in his life and witness his uncle (who was also one of his two guardians) painful, traumatizing death after the said uncle was dismembered and after some really earth-shattering truths being unraveled, and LEAVE THE BOY THERE CRYING WHILE STARING AT HIS UNCLE'S COFFIN to go fuck in the bushes with LWJ. Like not an hour after the incident, or even a quarter of an hour. no. right after that whole shitshow happened!

(And JL accusingly asked JC why he let them go! JL...my boy... the real question is why did THEY choose to go?! When WWX had a traumatized nephew & a literally and figuratively bleeding brother to take care of, and LWJ had a traumatized brother who seconds ago WAS WILLING TO DIE WITH JGY and LWJ hadn't yet made sure that LXC's willingness has ceased since!)

And then WWX didn't even go to check on JL after that! While JL was a 15 y/o sect leader dealing with the power vacuum left after the scandals of the previous sect leader who was also coincidentally the Xiandu, & going through a power struggle with one of the worst sects out there.

WWX asks after Jin Ling from the Lan Juniors instead of going to see him himself! When he next sees JL it's said that the news of his struggles had reached Wangxian in Gusu, meaning that WWX hadn't dropped by to check on JL to hear of these from JL himself and he hadn't dropped by to check in on him even after hearing these news! He was only there bc JL had invited the Lan Juniors for a field trip!

WWX shows his love with drastic, big, dramatic, sacrificial acts like giving his golden core to JC or transferring Jin Ling's curse to himself, but since he himself loves to run away from his traumas and his responsibilities, he's not someone who can be counted on to help his loved-ones with their traumas and responsibilities. He didn't do it with Jiang Cheng and he didn't do it with Jin Ling. He never even talked to Wen Ning about Wen Qing and the Wen Remnants. (Or how WN feels about being a zombie forcefully brought back to life in a world that hates and fears him)

Maybe diplomacy is not his strength and he'll only make things worse by trying to help JL with his sect leader duties, but it wouldn't have taken anything from him if he had only stayed by JL at least for the night after the Guanyin Temple, not even doing anything, but just being there. (And I understand that narratively it might have been a point in the story where some readers might want to see the main couple sail off into the sunset together, but all it would have taken for the main couple to be shown as less of a dick was adding a phrase like "the next morning..." or even "later that day" or something like that before writing about them disappearing into the sunset...or the bushes.)

I love Wei Wuxian, but post-resurrection Wei Wuxian was really...not particularly an ideal family member.

actually,,, thinking of demon brothers au where danny is born first but dies during the birth,,, he was alive long enough for the pits to bring him back but ra's decided the death itself was a sign that danny was weak and wouldn't be fit as the heir so they plan to just get rid of him. something/someone interferes and Somehow baby danny finds his way to amity where the fentons adopt him. But twist is that talia doesn't know danny was rescued and raises damian fully believing that her first son was dead. talia doesn't need another reason to be overprotective of damian, but this Would be another reason.

she finds out somehow after damian is with bruce and she specifically goes to them for help so Boom now there's a big search for danny. i think it'd be better if danny's real/first name wasn't daniel/danyal so it's a Tad harder for them to find him. i feel like this au would also work well with the amity blocked off from world trope too

anyway, i feel like this would be a fun au to explore danny being half ghost in! like maybe him being a halfie is directly related to going into the pits so young or him dying before he got to Live. idk,,, so many interesting routes an au like this could go
