✨🌺 Seven Sentence Sunday 🌺✨
Tumblr media
Hello, everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! If not exciting, I hope that these days gave you plenty of time to rest and recuperate for the upcoming week! 💛✨
Thank you for tagging me here for seven sentences, @drchenquill !
Here are seven sentences from my current WIP ITROG 🌺✨
It was….a giant tomato. A HUMONGOUS tomato! By the gods, Tyrell never thought produce could be so large! A hopeful patter returned to his heart as he scanned for more; Dead mice, voles, smaller creatures the likes that Tyrell has never even seen had been littered around the stash. The hunter checked the dead rodents for signs of disease. Nope, still fresh.
I will leave this tag +open for anyone who wishes to do it, at your leisure of course! 💛✨
Have a marvelous week, everybody! 💫

Brainstorming!
As I stated in my last writing, I’ve started working on my next book which is forcing me to create a new timeline and characters. It is challenging BUT it is also rewarding. Tonight, since I am on vacation from work, I started doing a lot of plotting and planning and lit upon a wonderful story idea that I hadn’t even considered before. I think I’m going to run with this one. I’ll say more…

"By the tree's root, the wise One spoke; Wise runes he knows, great runes he knows, and more than one song of the seat of the Earth." -The Poetic Edda
Yggdrasil - The Sacred World Tree Talon Abraxas
Yggdrasil: Unveiling Mysteries of The Sacred World Tree
Yggdrasil, also known as the Tree of Life, stands at the center of the Norse cosmos, serving as a conduit between the nine realms. Its immense branches extend across the heavens, and its roots delve deep into the great realms, tapping into legendary wells and streams for sustenance. This colossal ash tree serves as a cosmic axis, linking together the realms of gods, humans, giants, and various other beings.
Roots of Yggdrasil
Yggdrasil's roots draw power and sustenance from three different sources. The first root reaches up towards heavens and into Asgard, the realm of the gods, and taps into the well of Urd. Shielded by the root’s magic, by the well stands a beautiful hall that is home to three maidens – Urd, Verdandi, and Skuld – who shape the lives of men and are known as norns.
The second root extends to Jotunheim, the domain of the giants. Here, the root taps into the Mimir’s well, whose waters are coveted by many for containing boundless wisdom and which is guarded by its eternal guardian Mimir. Here, at Mimir’s well, Odin sacrificed his eye for a drink from the well to obtain supreme wisdom and solidify himself as the leader of the Aesir.
The third and final root travels to Niflheim, the icy realm of the dead. This root taps into the wellspring of Hvergelmir, a massive cauldron from which all rivers originate, symbolizing the primordial source of life and creation. This wellspring is a home to many snakes and serpents, with the great dragon Nidhoggr living among them.
Within the vast expanse of Yggdrasil, there exist nine interconnected realms. In addition to Asgard, Midgard, and Niflheim, the World Tree also links to realms such as Vanaheim (abode of the Vanir gods), Alfheim (dwelling of the light elves), Jotunheim (the land of giants), Svartalfheim (the domain of the dwarves), Muspelheim (the realm of fire) and Helheim (abode of the dead). Each realm has its own unique characteristics, inhabitants, and significance within Norse mythology.
Among the Branches of Yggdrasil
Asgard: Home of the Aesir Gods
Asgard, situated atop Yggdrasil's highest branches, is the realm inhabited by the Aesir gods. Ruled by the mighty Odin, Asgard is a place of divine splendor, where grand halls and palaces stand in golden brilliance. It is from Asgard that the gods oversee the mortal realm, engage in epic battles, and prepare for the final battle of Ragnarok.
Midgard: The Realm of Humans
Midgard, often referred to as Earth, is the realm of humankind. Suspended within Yggdrasil's middle branches, it is a world populated by mortals, their settlements, and their adventures. Midgard is constantly influenced by the gods and their actions, shaping the fate of both individuals and civilizations.
Jotunheim: The Land of Giants
Jotunheim, nestled within the roots of Yggdrasil, is a realm inhabited by the jotnar, or giants. These formidable beings range from mountainous brutes to cunning and deceptive creatures. Jotunheim serves as a land of challenges and conflicts, frequently intersecting with the affairs of gods and heroes.
Vanaheim: Abode of the Vanir Gods
Vanaheim is the realm of the Vanir gods, a pantheon associated with fertility, prosperity, and nature. Located within Yggdrasil's branches, Vanaheim is depicted as a lush and fertile land, where bountiful harvests and vibrant ecosystems flourish under the Vanir's watchful eye.
Alfheim: Dwelling of the Light Elves
Alfheim, situated above Midgard, is a realm inhabited by the ethereal and luminous light elves. Known for their beauty and connection to nature, the light elves possess great wisdom and magical abilities. Alfheim is often associated with light, joy, and enchantment.
Svartalfheim: Domain of the Dwarves
Svartalfheim, residing within the depths of Yggdrasil, is the realm of the industrious and skilled dwarves. Known for their craftsmanship and mining expertise, the dwarves forge powerful weapons, legendary artifacts, and intricate treasures. Svartalfheim is a realm of hidden caverns and wondrous craftsmanship.
Niflheim: The Frozen Underworld
Niflheim lies beneath the lowest roots of Yggdrasil, a cold and mist-shrouded realm associated with ice, frost, and darkness. It is home to Hel, the ruler of the dead, and the souls of evil men who passed into this ice realm after traversing Helheim.
Muspelheim: Realm of Fire
Opposite Niflheim, Muspelheim exists as a realm of searing flames and intense heat. Ruled by the fire giant Surtr, Muspelheim embodies the primal power of fire and is foretold to be instrumental in the apocalyptic event of Ragnarok.
Helheim: Abode of the Dead
Helheim is a realm of the dead, located beneath the roots of Yggdrasil. It is a somber and desolate place ruled by the goddess Hel, where souls who did not attain glory in battle or gain entrance to other afterlife realms reside. It represents the acceptance of mortality and the finality of death in Norse mythology.
Inhabitants of Yggdrasil
Yggdrasil is not only a physical entity but is also inhabited by various mythical creatures. Beneath its roots resides Nidhoggr, a colossal dragon who gnaws at the roots of the tree, representing decay and destruction. The eagle perched on Yggdrasil's highest branches looks down on Nidhoggr below, embodying knowledge and inaction. The squirrel Ratatoskr scurries up and down the tree, acting like a messenger between Nidhoggr and the unnamed eagle, fanning the flames of hate between them by spreading nasty rumors and ferrying insults that one has for another. These inhabitants further contribute to the vivid and complex tapestry of Norse mythology.
Symbolism of the World Tree
Yggdrasil is a profound symbol in Norse mythology, representing the interconnectedness of all things in the cosmos. It embodies the cyclical nature of life, death, and rebirth, underscoring the idea of continuous renewal and regeneration. As a world tree, it also symbolizes the axis mundi, a universal concept found in many mythologies, where the physical and spiritual realms meet.
The image of the tree resonates deeply with human existence, reflecting the innate human desire to seek meaning and connectivity. It reminds us of the intricate web of relationships that bind us to the natural world and the forces beyond our comprehension.
Yggdrasil, the World Tree of Norse mythology, is a powerful symbol that encapsulates the cosmos and its profound interconnections. It serves as a gateway to the realms of gods, giants, and the dead, and its roots tap into the wellsprings of cosmic wisdom and primal creation. As we delve into the mysteries of Norse mythology, we unravel the layers of symbolism embedded in this awe-inspiring ancient tree, reminding us of our place in the grand tapestry of existence.
So, let us gaze upon Yggdrasil, this towering arboreal monument that stands as a testament to the enduring power and enduring fascination of Norse mythology. May its endless branches forever inspire us to explore the depths of our own roots and seek wisdom in sacrifice.

Wheel of Time for all its flaws really was just The Most Worldbuilding
Like it really showed that oh, that cool idea you have for a fantasy world? Yeah come back when you’ve got 200 more of those to layer on top of each other. Ok, you’re almost half way to the amount of batshit worldbuilding in just the first three books out of fifteen.
It’s post apocalyptic sci-fi
It’s also Arthurian
It’s ALSO Norse mythology
It’s ALSO a totally new elemental magic system a generation before Avatar the Last Airbender
It’s ALSO a reimagining of Tolkien’s “a wizard shows up to take some provincials on an adventure where they become Important People”
It’s ALSO a political epic
It’s ALSO a reimagining of Dune
It’s ALSO an exploration of war veteran trauma and a denunciation of pain as having moral value
It’s ALSO a total remix mishmash of all the world’s cultures
It’s ALSO a deconstruction of the Chosen One trope where the Chosen One is utterly ruined by all the “cool things” destined to happen to him
It’s ALSO an air-tight prophecy engine where one tiny lie buried in the middle of just ONE of the THOUSAND PAGE BOOKS that many took to be an error was actually a huge character reveal they got debated for LITERAL DECADES before it was confirmed
It’s also an interrogation of gender in a world where women with magic are essentially the Vatican because men with magic are doomed to go insane, such that they’re hunted down like dogs
(And before I have to deal with the whole “gendered magic makes it transphobic” no it FUCKING ISN’T. It’s not perfectly progressive ffs because it was written in the 90s, but a man reborn into a woman’s body channels male magic because he is MALE and I’m so sick of people saying that the book is gender essentialist. You just haven’t read far enough.)
Anyway. Wheel of Time is totally unhinged worldbuilding. It was my first most beloved fandom. It’s totally unlike so much other fantasy to this day. The showrunner loves the books enough to know they have to be broken and reformed, just like the world itself, to work in this new Age and he’s done a fabulous job. You don’t understand how abnormal I am about this series.

Thank you for the tag, @alintalzin !
From my WIP ITROG:
A line about Summer Winter:
His cheeks, once rosy with joy and cold winds, blushed a burning anger reciprocated in Tyrell. Like father, like son.
A line about dancing Celebration:
Uproarious cheers and applause caused Tyr to return his own whoops and cheers of victory, a gigantic smile gleaming over his entire face.
A line about characters taking a leap of faith:
Then, with victorious whoops, hollers, and cheers, Tyrell and his team flipped and twisted off the cliff to join the cheering villagers below.
A line about love:
With two bulky hands, he slowly and gently tousled Tyr’s body as a soothing gesture. “Your mother and I love you very much, Tyrell. We don’t blame you, nor should you blame yourself. We wouldn’t have traded anything for the world. For Yggdrasil. Nei, you are strong and wonderful just the way you are.”
A scary line:
Tyrell closed his eyes. He couldn’t remember much about the climb after that, only that his fainting caused his wee hands to let go. He was spared the deafening terror of his father’s scream as his child-self plummeted to Stefan’s catching arms, spared from the ground.
Tagging @gioiaalbanoart and @wyked-ao3 ✨
Five Lines.
Thanks for tagging me, @spideronthesun!
I'll go for my noir portal fantasy wip, Diamonds at Night.
A line about the summer
It was apparently summer in New Suford, and Angelina was sweating in the long-sleeved blouse she wore.
A line about dancing
"The music's probably not what you're used to," Sean said, reaching out his hands to Angelina, "but I'd like to dance with you."
A line about your characters taking a leap of faith
Angelina had never used a gun before, but she grabbed Sean's and pointed it at the head of her sister's kidnapper.
A line about love
"I'm coming with you because she's my sister and I love her and I want to bring her home safe."
A scary line
It was dark, and there were the sounds of rats squeaking in the alley.

✨🌺 Seven Sentence Sunday 🌺✨
Tumblr media
Hello writers and readers! Happy Sunday! Thank you for the tags here @justabigoldnerd , and here @pippinoftheshire ✨
More progress has been made on ITROG. The words have been flowing out like Arctic glacier runoff 🏔️✨
Here are seven more sentences to share. As always, this tag is +open to anyone who wants to participate, and no pressure if you’d rather pass. Always happy to share a little snippet 💚✨
Realizing he was still in danger, Tyrell quickly turned, rolled on his front, and scrambled to his feet….nearly tripping over them in the process in his mad dash to the underbrush. Most of the night was a game of evasion, and the giant was just petty enough to give chase. Cat and mouse, giant and human. Though it was like chasing an ant, it was an ant that made off with all of the fire giant’s food, and he was going to get his revenge.
The hunter, now the hunted, had no idea how long he was running and hiding. He kept sprinting, kept dodging, but he couldn’t shake the pursuing beast. The morning sunrise glowed as an aureate sliver over the horizon, barely giving Tyr enough light to maneuver.

The Hobbit and The Lord of The Rings - The Lord of the Ducks?! -Duckverse in June - Mystical Creatures - Cosplay and literature - Duck comics, Ducktales, Quack Pack, Darkwing Duck and Mighty Ducks - Duckverse - My version - Fantasy
Well, more specials related to Donald Duck's 90th birthday that I drew and related to one of my favorite topics, certainly related to fantasy, literary works and movies, and one of the best works in the world that is definitely worth reading, and it is Tolkien's works, The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.
John Ronald Reuel Tolkien was an English writer and philologist (study of the origin of language) and one of the greatest fantasy writers of all time who will certainly influence other authors and future generations. Born in 1892, died in 1973. He translated Beowulf, one of the oldest surviving Anglo-Saxon epics, and also wrote The Silmarillion, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and other works. However, he was best known for The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. He inserted a lot into his works from Norse, Celtic, Slavic, ancient Greek and ancient Roman mythology, as well as elements from antiquity and the Middle Ages that happened in Europe, as well as religious elements, and of course he invented the Elvish language in his own way, and it is considered that that and high fantasy. The Hobbit was published in 1937, while The Lord of the Rings was written between 1937 and 1954, and published in 1954 and 1955 in three volumes, which are called "The Fellowship of the Ring", "The Two Towers" and "The Return of the King". Of course, it received a lot of film and animated adaptations, the most famous and popular of which are Ralph Bakshi from 1978, the version by Rankin-Bass from 1977 and 1980 The Hobbit and The Return of the King, and certainly the most famous that received the most Oscars are Peter Jackson's films with the same titles awarded with many Oscars and shown from 2001 to 2003. And three parts of The Hobbit from 2012 to 2014. So I drew combining from literary works and certainly from the film version of Peter Jackson, since that is my favorite.
Not to go further, since I would like to talk about the plot of the story for a long time, it is certainly about Middle Earth and the conflict over the power over the whole earth and about the conflict of one ring. In The Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, the famous hobbit joined the wizard Gandalf and the thirteen dwarves of Thorin's Company in a quest to reclaim their home and take their treasure back from the dragon Smaug. The Lord of the Rings deals with the fact that Sauron, the dark lord, made the rings and gave them to dwarves, lords and humans in order to rule the world. But he is defeated by Isildur and King Elrond, but his spirit remains and can only be destroyed if the ring is destroyed. So the main task was given to four hobbits led by Frodo Baggins. And there is the elf Legolas, the dwarf Gimli, the human and prince Aragorn and the wizard Gandalf.
So I drew and combined two brilliant fantasy novels, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings into one where I gave my favorite characters specific roles that would suit them in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings in my own way. Yes, I combined almost everything from Donald Duck media, comics, cartoons, video games, but mostly from Donald Duck comics, including Paperinik New Adventures, as well as from Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Quack Pack and Mighty Ducks. Yes, not all the characters stopped, because this is only the first part of my version of The Lord of the Ducks. Donald Duck would certainly be Bilbo Baggins, the hero from The Hobbit, and his nephews Huey, Dewey, Louie and Phooey Duck would be hobbits like Frodo Baggins, Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck, Samwise Gamgee and Pereg "Took", and added Newton Gearloose (Gyro's nephew) as an additional hobbit. Yes, the Quack Pack version would be more appropriate, since older boys and teenagers are into this kind of fantasy. Scrooge McDuck is certainly Gandalf the Great (doesn't matter if gray or white), Drake Mallard is the prince and future king of Aragon, ruler of Arnor and Gondor, Moby Duck (Donald's older cousin who is a seafarer) as the dwarf Gimli, Abner Whitewater Duck as Thorin Oakenshield (the leader of a group of 12 dwarves), Gyro Gearloose as the elf Legolas, Wildwing Flashblade and Nosedive Flashblade (brothers from Mighty Ducks) as Boromir and Faramir, Odin Eidolon as King Elrond, El Capitan as Gollum (since he is very fascinated by gold, and surely with a ring, otherwise he appeared in the first episodes of Ducktales 1987), Flintheart Glomgold as the wizard Saruman the Great, John D. Rockerduck as Gríma Wormtongue and finally Negaduck himself as Sauron, since he loves chaos and that he rules the whole world and loves jewels. There is no replacement Smaug dragon so I drew him as his interpretation.
Briefly Duckverse in Middle Earth and our heroes who need to save the world from evil and Sauron and Smaug. How about this? I hope you like this idea and these characters and love fantasy as much as I do. :D I know Tolkien didn't like Disney because of certain views, and I apologize for that, but since many authors like Tolkien's works, including Don Rosa, why shouldn't I? And sorry for these long sentences and finally the music for this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SBQvd6vY9s
Feel free to like and reblog this if you like it, just don't use these same ideas of mine without mentioning me, thanks! Also this is intended as a dedication to the Duckverse in June, the fourth week under the theme "Mystical Creatures", however elves, dwarves, wizards and dragons can be counted under that, so I am dedicating to @duckversejune2024, @secret-tester, @tokuvivor, @queer-in-a-cornfield. And I dedicate it to my friend @cityoftheangelllls who likes ducks and fantasy like me. I hope you like this. Once again, happy belated birthday Donald Duck and his 90th birthday!

Where Can You Find Inspiration to Write a Fantasy Novel?
I fell in love with fantasy novels, I'm guessing you have as well. My passion for the genre has only grown over the years. As a fantasy writer myself, I know that finding the right inspiration can be difficult. However, if you're willing to put in the time and effort, there are many places where you can find inspiration to write a fantasy novel. Here are five of my favorite places to find inspiration:
1. Historical Events and Periods: One of the most effective ways to find a starting point for your fantasy novel is to draw inspiration from historical events or periods. For example, you could use the Napoleonic Wars as the basis for your fantasy world's conflict between two powerful empires, or you could create a magical kingdom based on the medieval era. The possibilities are endless!
2. Mythology and Folklore: Another great source of inspiration for a fantasy novel is mythology and folklore. You can use these ancient stories as inspiration for your characters and events, or even incorporate them into your story directly. For example, you could take inspiration from the Greek gods and goddesses to create a pantheon of deities in your fantasy world, or you could draw from the Norse legends to create an epic tale of adventure and heroism.
3. Nature and the Environment: The natural environment can also provide plenty of inspiration for a fantasy novel. Consider using elements of nature such as mountains, forests, oceans, and deserts to create your setting or plot points. You could even incorporate natural phenomena such as earthquakes, volcanoes, and floods into your story for added drama and excitement.
4. Other Genres and Media: While fantasy is a unique genre with its own set of rules and conventions, you can still draw inspiration from other genres and media sources. For example, you could incorporate elements from science fiction to create a futuristic setting for your novel, or you could use mystery elements to add intrigue and suspense to your plot. Similarly, you could draw inspiration from TV shows, movies, video games, and even books to create a unique and memorable experience for your readers.
5. Your Own Imagination: Finally, don't forget that the best source of inspiration for a fantasy novel is your own imagination! Use your imagination to create worlds and characters that are truly unique and interesting to your readers. Don't be afraid to experiment and explore different possibilities - you never know where your next great idea will come from!
By exploring these five sources of inspiration and more, you can find the spark you need to create a truly magical and engaging fantasy novel that readers will love for years to come. So, start brainstorming - the possibilities are endless!
