Camp Othrys
(a concept)
I think the OG Six Titan brothers would have Cabins even if only for honorary reasons (since the ladies were either neutral or actively worked against the Titans, they have no cabins …and yeah Oceanus was actually neural too but he clearly joined the Titans in PJO while none of the sisters seemed to)
but the Cabins would be filled with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren for the most part instead of their own illegitimate kids because none of them had children with anyone except their wives (except Kronos who fathered Chiron on an Oceanid).
So for example Hyperion Cabin would have Eos, Helios, & Selene's descendants because they were all notoriously had relationships with mortals (although since Rick unfortunately killed off Helios and Selene for some reason so it might as well unofficially be Eos's Cabin).
Kronos Cabin could be for his Olympian Demigod descendants who turned against the Olympians like Luke, or it could be purely honorary, with a separate Cabin being built for all the Demigods who turned their back on the Olympians.
As for the Others…
In Iapetus Cabin, I think Prometheus would have Demigod kids, maybe a similar way to how Athena does except he makes them out of clay and blesses them with life himself. Atlas would probably have a ton of affairs if he wasn't stuck holding the Sky, but he has several existing immortal children with various women so I can see him having descendants at least. Maybe the Hesperides have a little rotational system where one of them can take a some time off and find a lover? Epimetheus was married to Pandora and had a Demigod daughter with her, so her might have more Demigod kids too if he feels lonely.
Koios Cabin would be empty especially after Hecate gets a Cabin at CHB (expect if Alabaster wanted to stay there and/or if any of the Apollo kids joined the Titan Army). As for his daughters, I don't think Leto wanted anyone who wasn't Zeus (also she’s definitely an Olympian loyalist) and Asteria permanently turned herself into an island to avoid Zeus+Poseidon so I don't think she loved any man except her husband Perses.
I can't see Krios Cabin having many campers either. Hecate is his granddaughter as well as Koios's who I already discussed but maybe her kids could choose which great grandfather they identify with more? I can't see Perses with anyone except his wife Asteria, but I think Krios's other sons Pallas and Astraeus might have Demigod kids. Styx basically divorced Pallas and took their kids in the divorce and Astraeus's wife Eos is far from monogamous and he doesn't seem mad about it so maybe he could cheat too.
Oceanus Cabin would possibly be overpopulated due to the sheer amount of kids he & Tethys have, but several Oceanids are mortal themselves and may not produce terribly strong kids who need to be protected from monsters.
I think the Titaness Astraea would've been a Good Camp director or something. She hated how humanity became during the Olympian's rule, so she's definitely very pro-Titan while also being someone who actually cares about children/humanity at all.

Ω PJO DEMIGOD HEADCANONS: 🌄 HEMERA: PERSONIFICATION OF DAY ☀️
Author’s note: *put head into hands* Alright, so I may or may not have went off from the usual formula (Do I even have a formula for writing these at this point?) and I think I may have made the primordial demigods here more cryptid cause they’re the literal by-product of primordial beings that are also half-mortal? I won’t be including the usual blurbs at the ending cause all of them are probably pushing the word limit Tumblr has but worry not, I made up for it by putting more storylines into the whole thing. PRIMORDIAL DEMIGODS MASTERLIST: [LINK]
Much like the child of Eros, you are born under a similar situation. Hemera, personification of Day, is often identified as Eos, goddess and personification of the Dawn. It worked somewhere the same way that Medusa exists; she technically is a Gorgon monster along with her two sisters born from Phorcys and Ceto, but she is also the same Medusa who was once mortal before getting turned into a gorgon later on. Regardless, while not unusual, your godly mother rarely mingles with men; it was even rumoured she fell in love with Orion. So whoever caught her eye was special enough, otherwise Hemera would be too busy with her day and wouldn’t give most of the time of day.
You grow up rather normally and peacefully, quite literally a bright child; your primordial heritage asleep and hidden away as a child of Eos, who poses little threat to monsters. Until one day, everything changes as right until the child of Chaos and Eros appears before you, awakening your heritage as a child of Hemera.
In fact, you’re the first Primordial demigod that gets dragged into the conflict as the child of Gaea and child of Tartarus appear to bring you into their cause, just as when the child of Chaos and Eros appear to stop them. It was all a bit much, discovering the fact that you were an actual child of a Primordial, and there were more of you out there, and just as you found out about them, they’re trying to pull you into their sides???
Despite the child of Nyx’s pleas to have you join them, you didn’t like the aura the child of Gaea was radiating and the darkness they were carrying. You joined with the Child of Chaos and Eros when the child of Gaea’s reckoning was threatening your lives and others. You felt bad when you saw the crushed look of the child of Nyx, but when they were also joining the fight, your power was the only one that could go against the children of Erebus and Nyx. You opposed their darkness and night with the power of your day powers, balancing the odds somewhat in your favour.
Your powers are related to the day and those in its realm. You’re more powerful and stronger in the day from dawn to dusk. You can also summon light when required and also create optical light illusions which are useful when the mist cannot conceal everything or in a fight. Unlike the child of Nyx who can simply rest in the night, you also have to absorb as much sunlight as possible to bolster your power supply. In the night, it’s not optimal and against three primordial children who have related powers, you need to be at the top of your game.
You also have the power to do something similar to the gods revealing their true form in a sense. You can expel all the light and power of the day within you in a blinding, searing heat of light that can practically vaporise in your vicinity. It’s a dangerous move to pull off but given you’re all primordials in a sense, you’re made of tougher material. The first time you pulled it off was when the child of Tartarus unleashed some of the monsters in their command and you were all surrounded; given that the odds at the time were 4 to 3. By the end of it, the child of Tartarus, Erebus, and Nyx were also affected by your blast and they were all forced to retreat. You were utterly exhausted as well, which was a good thing they retreated or otherwise the odds wouldn’t be good. So while powerful, it is only used in the utmost dangerous circumstances. It took so many sunbaths to replenish your energy and reserves. You looked super ghastly too.
Your key feature is that you’re quite literally a bright child; metaphorically and literally. You have a bright outlook or mind, you open up like a day and people are attracted to you. Your skin glows brightly like a great skin care routine, your smile just bright enough to brighten people’s day. As Hemera’s child, your aspect is DAY; while it is easier from dawn to dusk, you can actually push it to night as well; however be careful if you enter that kind of zone because you may be faced with a part of yourself that you may not like.

Stop doing professional and/or violent people only finding a relationship that they're passionate about when they find someone they can be domestic with. Give me a regular couple with a perfectly healthy relationship that's slowing down because they don't feel truly fulfilled until they find out the other person is actually deeply fucked up and all of a sudden they're the most loving couple in the world.
By which mean I had an au where Ethabaster are an established power couple in the TA but their relationship is kind of bland and they're not really feeling it and the spark isn't there anymore but they haven't been talking about their issues much because they have significantly bigger fish to fry. Then when their political ambitions start to seriously diverge and they're making all their adverse political plays, that becomes the new spark keeping their relationship going in a Mr and Mrs Smith trying to kill each other way because omg babe you're soooo hot when you almost get me executed through your political subterfuge <3 anyway I'm making lasagne for dinner tonight. If you and your husband/situationship aren't locked in a game of political chess and constantly trying to undermine each other's military ambitions with internal espionage, are you even really in love?

Some More Random Worldbuilding for PJO, this time, Mythic Metals
*Note: this refers specifically to metals that Greek and Roman demigods can use. I'm not including other pantheons*
*Most common in this sense refers to most commonly used by demigods*
So we, of course, have the canon Stygian Iron, Celestial Bronze, and Imperial Gold, but in addition, we also get Adamantine, Orichalum, Artemisian Silver, and Apolloin Gold.
Starting off with more facts about the basic metals (ones known in the series):
Celestial Bronze: most common mythical metal. Primarily used by Greek demigods, however anyone within the two pantheons can use a celestial bronze weapon. Can't kill mortals.
Imperial Gold: equally as common as Celestial Bronze, only "rarer" among demigods because Roman Gods are the ones who control the mining and usage of the metal, and these gods are stricter regarding privledge to use the metal. Primarily used by Romans, however anyone within the two pantheons can use a imperial gold weapon. Can't kill mortals.
Stygian Iron: third most common mythical metal. However, stygian iron can only be used by chthonic demigods, gods, and other underworldly creatures. If stygian iron is used by non-chthonic demigods, it weakens their life source and can take years from them. If used by a non-chthonic god, their powers are weakened for many years. Stygian iron cannot be used by mortals-- it kills them near instantaneously. Stygian iron can kill mortals.
Now into my own ideas:
Orichalum: tied with Stygian iron for third most common mythical metal. Mined in Atlantis, orichalum, like stygian iron, cannot be used by all beings. Instead, orichalum can only be used by aquatic gods, demigods, and creatures. In this sense, aquatic refers to both the ocean (Poseidon, Oceanus, the Nereids, etc), but also all other bodies of waters like lakes and rivers (river gods, nymphs, Naiads). Riptide is not actually made of celestial bronze, it is made of orichalum. It's effects on non-aquatics are similar to that of stygian iron. Orichalum cannot kill mortals. Sort of bronze-ish looking.
Apolloin Gold: the fifth most common metal. This can only come directly from Apollo or Helios, as the metal is quite literally ored from the sun. Technically Eos and Hemera can also give it out, but they have many fewer connections with mortals. As such, should it be one of the rarer metals? Yes. It's more common than it's parallel, however, because Apollo used to hand the metal out quite frequently-- to mortals who impressed him, his lovers, his children, and the metal just made it's way into other people's hands. Can be used by anyone. Cannot kill mortals.
Artemisian Silver: the sixth most common element-- or second rarest. Artemisian Silver can only come from Artemis, Selene, or Hecate. As Artemis is the main goddess of the moon at this point, artemisian silver most closely represents her other domains, and as such can only be used by girls and women, *except in cases of Hecate's boy children or those blessed by Artemis*. Artemisian silver can harm werewolves, which is where the silver werewolf stereotype came from, and why Reyna's pocket knife, although silver, did not work. Cannot kill mortals.
Adamantine: rarest of all. This metal is most closely guarded by the gods, and only a few known weapons remain in demigod weaponries. Bright, almost blinding white, the metal looks like a cross between diamonds and silver. Completely unbreakable, and cannot be bent or harmed in any way after being forged. The only demigods who can use adamantine are children of the Kronides and Aphrodite (eldest gods), although even many of these demigods have to dilute it to use the metal. It burns through other demigods and mortals until their hands are ash if they touch it. The full olympian council must decide to give any demigod an adamantine weapon. It can hurt mortals.
There's also, of course, Drakon bone, although that's not technically a metal. Drakon bone is the only well known bone weapon in the series, however, divine bone from any being can be forged into a weapon that can kill monsters. Has to come from a spoil of war, as the being will dissolved if killed, and as such, is never seen outside of Tartarus, with the exception of Annabeth's sword.
The titans also had their own metal, similar to adamantine. Some call the metal Everlasting. Rarely known, never wielded anymore.

Okay, so for my own fanfictions, most of which take place post-TOA and therefore post-Percy "claim your children" Jackson and Jason "honor minor gods" Grace, I made myself a spreadsheet of all the cabins I believe could plausibly be at Camp Half-Blood, and ended up with a whopping 270, and there's probably more dieties whom I couldn't find any information on, and some dieties whom I don't believe would have a cabin (ex. Kronos) (if you think I should add someone comment) and decided to paste it here, since I don't feel comfortable sharing my original spreadsheet. I did add the water dieties, even though their kids could also plausibly go to the underwater camp, but I've decided to give them the option of what camp they want. I also didn't copy their domains, but I have the list from my research, so you can ask if you'd like, I'll be glad to explain! Most of my research was from Theoi Project - Greek Mythology, and Brittanica, and probably some others I've since forgotten, so if you know any good Greek Mythology resourses and books, please share!
Here's some symbols before we begin:
* - virgin goddess. I added them because Athena and Artemis already have cabins (and Athena kids by magical means)
" - Dieties whom have faded in the series. Their cabins are more memorials to them.
Additionally there are 2 dieties named Thalia, (1) Thalia refers to the muse, the goddess of comedies, and (2) Thalia refers to the goddess of festivities and banquet

So that's my list. I don't really have a rhyme or reason for why each number is each, but I did clump together gods with similar domains because that's where they were easiest to find in my research... I honestly think kids of minor gods are very underused in TOA fics, and even in PJO and HOO to an extent. Jillie, my nine year old daughter of Gelus with a contageous laugh? One of my fave OCs.
As for Roman gods and goddess, I'm not as knowledgable, but hopefully I'll make a spreadsheet for plausable godly parents, though unlike CHB it doesn't need to be organized as there's just Cohorts. I don't write Camp Jupiter fics all that often, but it'll be a good resource to have if I choose to.

Each of the twelve original Titans and who they fought for during the Second Titan War:
Let's start with the obvious ones:
Kronos: Naturally leading his side of the war. I hate Kronos, but this one is obvious.
Hyperion: Serving as a Commander in his brother Kronos's army. We see him during the Battle of Olympus, so this one is pretty obvious.
Iapetus: Fought for Kronos, only to lose his memory and become Bob. I really doubt you can kill a Titan (you can't kill Kronos, at least), so I imagine Iapetus/Bob is still out there after the Heroes of Olympus series. Maybe he's finally regained his memories (I can't remember if he already did that). He deserves that much, at least.
Crius: I believe the Lost Hero says that Crius fought the Roman demigods while Hyperion got to fight the Greek demigods. So Crius almost definitely fought on his brother Kronos's side.
Coeus: According to the Percy Jackson wiki, Coeus fought with Kronos. I don't think we ever saw him in the books though. I guess Coeus is the forgotten Titan, despite being the maternal grandfather of Hecate, Apollo and Artemis through his two daughters, Leto and Asteria.
Oceanus: I believe Oceanus fights on his brother Kronos's side in the Pjo series. I don't know why he's fighting on Kronos's side, seeing as he didn't help Kronos castrate Ouranos like the rest of his brothers did. But maybe it's just because of family loyalty, or something. Idk.
Now let's take some educated guesses on the female Titans. We know all six male first generation titans fought for Kronos, but what about the women of the family?:
Rhea: Seeing as Rhea is the mother of the gods, it makes sense for her to support her kids in this conflict. Besides, would Rhea really supoort Kronos? He was an awful husband, probably an awful brother and definitely an awful parent. So Rhea was probably on the side of her kids.
Theia: Well, Rhea and Theia. Guess Gaea and Ouranos weren't feeling unique when it came to those two, him? But anyway, I think Theia would be fighting with Kronos. Largely because her husband and brother is Hyperion, one of the leading commanders of the Titan army. Also, Theia and Hyperion had three kids: Helios, Selene and Eos. We know Helios and Selene were abandoned and their roles given to Artemis and Apollo. Not sure about Eos, though. But anyways, I think that Helios and Selene's treatment would help make Theia bitter towards her other relatives. She's probably fighting with Kronos to support her husband and get revenge for her kids.
Themis: Being the Titaness of Justice, I don't think it'd be right for Themis to pick a side. Justice is impartial, and all that. So I imagine she was completely neutral. Kind of like the Fates, probably. She just acted as a neutral observer.
Mnemosyne: I'm not really sure about Mnemosyne. She did have children with Zeus in the nine muses. And she doesn't seem to have much to gain from supporting Kronos. So I don't know. My best guess is: she either stayed completely neutral or she sided with Olympic. You can choose which you think is more likely. Personally, I'm leaning towards her being neutral.
Phoebe: I feel like Phoebe is stuck between a rock and hard spot. Her husband Coeus is fighting for Kronos, as is her grandchild Hecate. Yet her other two grandchildren, Apollo and Artemis, are fighting for Olympus. I feel like Phoebe is going to stay neutral, for fear of a tearing a rift within her family.
Tethys: Being that Tethys is married to Oceanus, she probably took a similar stance to his. So she probably fought for Kronos alongside her husband, but I don't really think she did it because she had any deep devotion to Kronos. I think she probably just did it because she wanted to be with her husband. Maybe also because she nursed Helios and Selene when they were young (at least according to wikipedia). So maybe she also wanted revenge for them?
So to recap:
On Kronos's Side: Kronos, Hyperion, Crius, Coeus, Oceanus, Iapetus, Tethys and Theia.
On the side of Olympus: Rhea and maybe Mnemosyne.

Another complication of Anon Princey asks👑 DC x Greek Mythology!!!! 💖💖💖
Okay so let's start with the big three: Up first the Bats
Also, Imma play so fast and loose with how the actual deities are related lmao
I totally see why Jason would be a son of hades in PJO verse, but y'know who would be the literal perfect embodiment of Hades himself? Bruce wayne.
God of the Underworld and precious metals? Unyielding and stubborn, but not cruel? That's Bruce-y babyyyy
BUT Hades technically isn't Death itself in Greek mythology, he's just the ruler of it's domain from what I understand
This brings me to my proposal: Jason as Thanatos! the actual embodiment of death
No notes on Apollo!Dick literally perfect he deserves to lounge in the clouds with his hoard of muses
Steph I'd like to volunteer Nemesis, Goddess of vengeance because bbygorl deserves it Kill yo daddy queen
Cass I love her so much and feel so bad for having no clue :(
Same with Damien, my only thought is Zagreyus and that's just so he can have a 3headed doggy
Dukey I'd like to propose Helios! Sunshine baby no further notes
I literally love how much Tim fits Athena so no notes there ALTHOUGH if we want to keep to the (extremely loose) chthonic gods theme I'd also like to suggest Hypnos god of dreams/sleep
Literally please disagree with me I need other ideas cause I'm purely working off of vibes
I have no thoughts about posiden so imma skip straight to Zeus
which ignoring all of Zeus's whole y'know moments, purely from a "ultra powerful god of the sky and ruler of all" Imma give that to Clark, mostly cause the mental image is yummy and also to connect it to the hc that started all of this spiral for me
Heracles Kon my beloved<3
Strong, strong beefy boy I'm gnawing on the bars of my enclosure
Ignoring the ocean in my pants from imagining him wearing a lionskin, from a thematic perspective it's so good
Son of a human and god, has to work to feel like he belongs, has to overcome trials to connect RAHHHH
Kon bbygrl lemme feed u figs in between rounds of you battling the hydra please
Jon I'm tempted to say Hermes and that's just because I think he'd look adorable in those little winged sandals
Also for Roy I'd like to throw Hephaestus into the ring for a couple of reasons
1) complicated relationship with ex/partner
2) he's the god of craftsmanship and I'm pretty sure that's Roy's whole deal, but I may be wrong lol also god of fire + redhead
3) Hephaestus is often depicted as being disabled due to Zeus throwing him from Olympus (This is just me thinking about all the cool designs of Hephaestus with prosthetics that I've seen)
Also Dionysus possibly? Idk I think I just like Dionysus and want to throw him in somewhere
Princey, I respect your opinions and you make some very good arguments, but I’m gonna have to respectfully keep to my guns on my original statements. I’m stubborn, lol. For Kon and Jon, might I suggest Selene and Helios, respectively? Kon/Selene, the moon. Jon/Helios, the sun. Both children of Hyperion, the titan. Also leaving room for Lara to be their third sibling Eos, the dawn. Just through, ropy but thematic. I like Helios for Duke too, but I’m still leaning toward Apollo because not only is there the sun/light connect, but Duke is a protector of the young. Even before he became Robin, he saw problems with the police system, with the political cimate of Gotham, and he stood up and did it himself, not just for his parents but for the children in the system.

Can I complain about modern fantasy book titles and covers for a second?

I don’t like these books anyway. Why doesn’t matter, they have their audience and I’m not part of it. But eight whole books, and I read seven of them (not Assassin’s Blade) a few years ago now, and I could not tell you in what order they should be read if someone handed me a blind pile, or even what cover belongs to each book because they’re so painfully generic (and missing numbers on their spines).
Nor could I tell by the titles which are also painfully generic. Yeah they read like fantasy titles but there’s nothing distinct about them, they’re just fantasy buzzwords and they’re so vague that even Tower of Dawn leaves me vaguely recalling that kingdom with the giant birds, I think? Heir of Fire might be the romantic side quest that lasts an entire book, but that’s based more on my memory of the order of events than the title or cover would suggest.
Blank of X and Y she used for ACOTAR (which I did not read and know nothing about so I skipped them) is just so boring to me if the Mad Lib is nothing special. “Heir of Fire” could be a Game of Thrones fanfic for how unique and evocative the title is. A Court of Thorns and Roses literally stole the cadence of A Song of Ice and Fire but guess what?? Those aren't just nonsense words. Ice and Fire and how they're related are hugely thematic and relavent elements in those books. "Thorns and Roses" just ripped off a Poison song.

I assume these were the original covers since they’re not so manicured and actually have character. The titles are the same but the colors are so much bolder and the imagery isn’t a greyscale girl for 7 out of 8 titles. They’re distinct and memorable and while they’re still not evocative of the actual story, if I was a bigger fan of the books I’d probably have stronger associations. They do try. I have fuzzy memories coming back of EOS having the cool pirate with the map hands, KOA being the climactic battle book, QOS... might be the boring side quest with the dragons. This does not look like assembly line popcorn fantasy. This looks like it has heart, and an air of mystery. They draw you in and have you asking questions, they have you wanting to know more.
These books are, in my opinion, superior in many ways to anything SJM has written, but the covers? The exact same problem on steroids. And I only read four of them, there’s six total apparently. King’s Cage is the best title of the bunch. I know immediately from the title “that’s the one where the protagonist spent the whole book as a political prisoner in, you know, the king’s cage”.
But the covers, though they all share the same aesthetic and would look pretty on the book shelf, are absolutely devoid of any and all context within the book, save King's Cage. They’re all feminine crowns and tiaras, too. They could have at least given a man’s crown or at least something with harsher angles and thicker lines to evoke, idk, maybe the titular character the third book is about? It helps that the series (at one point) was only four books so it was less titles and ambiguous covers to juggle, but now there’s six so I guess that’s out the window.
Pretty, but purely window dressing. The best thing they have going for them is how distinctly minimalist they are that sets them apart from other fantasy.
I have incredibly mixed feelings about these books but the colors. Very much carrying on the PJO tradition of titles that actually fit the books and art to go along with it. There’s so much drama and movement to each one and they are, once again, scenes from each book, so many little details to look at. Festus was a huge part of TLH, then Percy's back in action, front and center in SON, then... uh, MOA... then Percy and Annabeth looking scared shitless in HOH and then... uh, BOO. Exists.
They all draw you in and I very much remember the cover drop for House of Hades and losing my mind over it. Much more face-focused than the reserved originals, much bolder, but still, mostly, Percy Jackson.

I looked this up on google images and couldn’t even read the titles there tiny at the bottom. The exact same color scheme for every single book. This is for the box set, I know that, so the spines all make one image when you line them up, but the spine doesn’t have to be the same image as the front cover.
That said, the cover images are still distinct and still hold true to the originals—showing actual elements from the books, like Blackjack and Polyphemus and the Labyrinth. Updated but a bit too sleek for my tastes (maybe that’s just nostalgia talking). The titles though, love the titles. At least they kept the series number on the covers (unlike TOG or RQ).

Now this. This here. These have everything. Bold, distinct colors on the spines, beautiful unique and very fantastical art, art that actually pertains to the book it’s about with an air of mystery every single time. You want to ask why there’s a kid floating in Long Island Sound, who that giant eye belongs to, who has that pegasus so frightened, what’s in the golden coffin, and… well the last one is just noire and I like it.
The titles, though. The. Titles. “Sea of Monsters” cannot in any way match up with the plot of the rest of the series. These covers are perfection.

Now I did not read these books, just saw the movies. These covers are dated, but there still wonderfully, charmingly whimsical, for an entire series about wizards and witches. The colors are distinct, the font choices reflect the vibes of each book, the art depicts the stories within the pages—Harry joining the Quidditch team, Fawkes coming to the rescue, Buckbeak, the mermaid egg thing and the other competitors in the Tri-Wizard Tournament, the (I think?) prophecy room/Ministry of Magic, the Remembrall (I think??), and, you know, the last one is cool too. The style of the drawings are rather unique to Harry Potter. Harry also visibly ages across each one.
The titles themselves, like PJO (while predating PJO so setting the trend I’m aware) cannot be separated from their books. Order of the Phoenix? That’s the book about the Order of the Phoenix. Deathly Hallows is about, shocker, the Deathly Hallows.
Putting Twilight here at the bottom. I like these despite them being minimalist because, unlike every other cover on this list, they’re minimalist fantasy. Barely urban fantasy. The red and white motifs are evocative of the romance genre and vampire fiction and at least the covers of Twilight and Breaking Dawn do reference scenes in their books, with Edward catching the apple in the cafeteria and them playing chess on their honeymoon.
They also speak to a more adult, mature audience with the sleeker look. These are romance novels with vampires, *not* fantasy novels with romance. You see any of those covers among other adult romance in a bookstore and they’re going to catch your eye. The titles… eh. Not so much. Nothing to do with the story they just sounded pretty and evocative but this is romance, not fantasy, they’re supposed to be sensual and evocative and “Bella Swan and The Broody Vampire Boy” would not at all fit that vibe.
—
It’s not like these modern fantasy novels are devoid of creative terminology. I don’t like SJM at all but her books did have some really creative and wonderful moments in isolation. It’s like the publishers were afraid to be authentic and sincerely fantastical, so they went with something safe and clean and uninspired both in title and in art.
“Throne of Glass” means nothing to me and could be applicable to like, four of the books in that series. If I squint I can see it as a metaphor for the fragile state of the ruling house but there is quite literally glass everywhere so maybe it’s just one cool element—that should have then been on the cover—but like, the whole book is about the Assassin’s trial, right? So call it The Assassin’s Trial or Tournament of Assassins. You know. The plot of the book, not just one random ass element in the background.
Be authentically fantastical, or don't write fantasy.

Pls yap more on you pjo dr‼️
WOAH?? Surprising, but yeah ofc !!!
So me along with two other kids are the Misfits of camp since not only are we a step above demi gods in a sense, but we were created before the war in the last pjo book by three gods each ^_^ the prophecy about us is;
“Three new Children of the Old, Powers from not one but three who have come together before the War, All with shared purpose.
The first with power unable to control, Forever cursed with pain unable to heal Made from the Old Moon, Chaos, and The Stars Destined to either kill or save all, Though in the end, one life shall be lost anyways.
Another child of Advice, Prophecy, and the Dawn, There to forever aid the first at their side, To lose the trust will be the biggest mistake and will come back to haunt.
The last with haunting beauty of Darkness, Night, and Death, There to watch forever more, lurking and looking for the distant death to come.
All three made with one purpose, To destroy all, even themselves.”
But since this is like. Right after the war I kinda had to edit the story of HOO, so that happens a little bit after
I was made by Chaos, Selene, and Astrea, and that was a long time ago since everyone knows how Selene and Helios were faded away, so I’m the only half blood/descendent of Selene (main character vibes ong but its my reality 😣) me and Mallory were put in a foster home as soon as we were found together (not by half bloods, just normal mortals). Also in my pjo reality, due to my powers one of my legs are literally numb 24/7 so I can’t fucking walk without my walking aids (like this reality frfr 😭)
My little sibling Mallory (not biologically, though we are like siblings) is the child of Metis, Eos, and Phoebe and I took inspo from Nico and made it so that they were trapped in the Lotus Casino for like years (since my pjo reality takes place at around 2006, the war ending 2005, they’ve been trapped there ever since 1913 (so ever since they were born) and then was freed by Eos a year before the war)
The last kid is Apathes and he’s kinda like the protector and shit. Child of Erebus, Nxy, and Thanatos andnjsjs he’s based of my friends OC that I fell in love with during a roleplay (AHHH rlly though he is amazing!!) AND AND he actually was a child of Hypnos, but Hypnos gave him up to the other three in hopes of making a kid to destroy shit. Funny tho he has Somniphobia and can’t sleep unless he’s in the perfect spot (which changes everday,, gonna script that he ends up sleeping with me (not sexually, I’m an asexual king frfr) cause “it was the only spot that seemed best” (HE DEFINITELY SAID THAT CAUSE HE WANTS TO SLEEP WITH ME THOUGJ SJSJSJJSJSJS GOING CRAZYYY))
sigh I have shifted before, not for long, but I know that it’ll happened pretty soon : D I love life and my pjo reality <3
Thank you for letting me yap ong 🤭 srry if this doesn’t make sense, I’m just realllyyy happy that someone actually asked about my pjo reality skdkksjd shakinh fr rn 😭
