You know I've been thinking all day while at Esports so here's some rambles on Graves. Also cause it's FUCKING COLD AND I HATE IT >:(
@snootlestheangel here ya go to dude :D rambles to enjoy from my chaotic brain
So Graves is used to the heat, coming from the south. He can be fine in like 90° weather (Fahrenheit cause I dunno Celsius) but the moment it's like 30° something he's pissed. He hates the cold and he hates the winter, he's also a cold boy (you cannot tell me he would not be cold all the time for no fucking reason). So being in England and where else SUCKS! He hates it, but Price and Nik are big giant heaters so he enjoys being around them when it's extra cold.
I can see him slipping in one of their hoodies while they are wearing them. So he stays warm. He also has like 15 coats but steals theirs instead of wearing his own.
I also see a couple of Shadows making fun of him for wearing three coats when it's cold, but he doesn't care.
I see him also owning those giant fuzzy socks people have (yes I am one of them, they are da best) to wear so his feet or warm. He can't wear em while he's got shoes on unless he's wearing some big boots.
Hmmm that's all I got for now

OKAY
I meant to make this last night before I got to bed, but I got so incredibly sick that I couldn't force myself to stay awake to do it.
Enough about that. This is Carson's time to shine :3
As mentioned in Carter's intro, Carson is his twin brother and the favorite of the two.
He's pretty stoic and calm most of the time. He has a hard time relaxing and having fun since he feels the need to keep up the high standards he thinks people have of him. He does, however, does not take shit from nobody. If you say something bad about him or someone he cares about, he will not hesitate to correct your behavior. He's like a strict parent in that regard.
Growing up, he was the good one. The angel, if you will. He tried to help his brother be better because he didn't like seeing him so upset about being ignored. Of course, this never worked.
Him and Carter had a huge argument and lost contact with each other. He still talks to his parents occasionally but silently blames them for Carter's downfall.
Carson joined the government when he was old enough and became one of their pilots. He's not very social with many of the other members, but he is pals with Charles and Rupert.
He met a cool guy by the name of #̴̯̼̱̱̜̝̳͔̎̊ͅ#̸̡̪̝͖̙̙̬̲̙͈̻͂̐̽#̷̰̜͓̣̜͉͚͓͎̻̺̈́͛̓̓͆̽̐̇̆́̃̊̋̚. Turns out he was a Toppat, but they continued to see each other anyway. That Toppat was none other than CatHat! Of course, if either side found out, they would've gotten in trouble. They ignored that issue and thought it wouldn't been fine so they got married.
It was not fine. They rarely ever get to see each other and have conflicting morals :/
BEFORE YOU SPEAK!
You wanna hear about his relationships?
I KNEW YOU WOULD >:3 (This segment is also longer than Devin's bc he doesn't show up in ItA, and I'll get into CtM stuff later.)
CatHat:
Carson still loves him dearly but is kind of stoic about it. He doesn't get to see him anymore, and he misses him very much. They show each other their affection through their actions more than words (since most of what they say to each other is sort of backhanded and passive-aggressive). Carson still wears his ring under his gloves, so nobody knows he's married.
Charles:
They talk occasionally with Charles, usually doing most of the yapping. Carson just likes to listen to him talk. Charles has gotten Carson to warm up enough that they can high-five each other during good moments. They're not best friends, but Carson does like him enough to talk to him.
Rupert:
They don't talk much, but I would consider them to be at least frienamies. Carson usually corrects Rupert's attitude or behavior on occasion, and Rupert pokes fun at him sometimes. But they've definitely had their good share of laughs and have definitely had a drink together.
Galeforce:
Again, they don't talk much, and when they do, it's usually work related. Their relationship is strictly professional, with Carson respecting him as a boss and Galeforce respecting him as well.
Carter:
He hasn't heard from him since they fought and lost contact. Sometimes, he thinks about tracking him down but always decides against it. He does check records to see if he's been arrested, though. (Carson does not know that Carter joined the Toppats.)
Okay, I think that's mostly everything I wanted to go over. :P

Life Tracker updated for Episode 7! This one is much quicker than Episode 6 on account of not being on holiday at the time, even though there were two thirds more deaths this time. Previous posts: Session 6, Session 5, Session 4. Also Session 8 (finale) post!
As usual, close ups and commentary below the cut. I’ve also added another graph for the average time of each team, which will also be below the cut.
There was so much carnage! 45 whole deaths in a single session! Not all deaths were awarded time during the session, but Scott’s video advised that it would be added by next session, so I have taken the liberty to add all the time as I see fit, hence why Scott is back to 7.5 hours. I haven’t seen every episode yet (in fact, other than Scott, I’ve only seen those that have perma-died), so I’m not sure if anyone else’s time is a mismatch, but if so I’m happy to explain where I’m getting my time additions and subtractions from!
Now for some close ups.
First, there was enough chaos that I decided to take a close up of Session 6 and 7 together so we can properly appreciate it:
Tumblr media
And a close up of Session 7 by itself:
Tumblr media
So many people lost major time, so it’s interesting to see Scott’s uptick of time at the end - he ended on only 30 minutes less than he would have been if he hadn’t died at all this session. Pearl didn’t die at all, and got the kill credit for Martyn blowing himself up in a trap, so she actually ended the session 30 minutes better than she started it. Grian also did very well for himself - he killed and died so many times, but somehow ended on the exact time he would have been on if he had experienced a peaceful deathless session.
BigB, Cleo, and Martyn all ended the session 1 hour poorer than they started, and Bdubs and Scar ended 1.5 hours below where they would have been. Nosy Neighbours are thus doing super well, with Mean Gills and Clockers not too far behind, in terms of maintaining position from the start of the session.
TIES had an awful time this session, with Impulse and Tango both losing a net 2 hours, and Etho and Skizz losing a net 2.5 hours - and obviously Skizz entirely died.
Joel possibly had the worst time, losing a net 3.5 hours this session - though it didn’t help that 5 of his 7 deaths were all caused by the one person. Technically Jimmy didn’t do too badly, given he only lost a net 1.5 hours... but given that he was out of the series only an hour into the session, and also the first out entirely... it really didn’t go well for him either
I also find it interesting the sheer number of vertical lines this graph, the ones representing a death immediately followed by a kill or vice versa. I would love to figure out a way to show only one line at a time on the graph, so we can more easily see someone’s journey, but I haven’t had time to look into it yet.
Now onto the graph of the average times per team.
Tumblr media
This one is super interesting to me, especially TIES’s line - they had the lowest average life right from the start, but somehow by Session 4, through Session 5, and for most of Session 6, they were the team with the highest average time, and then it quite literally went downhill from there. The only thing saving them from being last now is the fact that the Bad Boys are down to only a single living player, and even then Grian is doing far better than most of TIES.
It’s also interesting to me how Mean Gills had a significant time uptick at the end of both Session 6 and Session 7 (the first due to Martyn and the second due to Scott). Scott’s time was so high that it kept Mean Gills average time as yellow for all of Session 6 despite Martyn being red for most of it... and Martyn then got enough kills to keep it there. Mean Gills is also the only team in the entire graph to anywhere gain such consistent significant time.
These averages also coincide with the comments I made above about the time offset difference for each player from the start to end of the session. Mean Gills are doing well, but they’ve been doing well for so long that I’m sure most players are aware that they need to be a target. Nosy Neighbours are also doing well but I feel like they’ve flown under the radar, and are not a significant target right now.
Here is a close up of this graph with Sessions 1-4:
Tumblr media
And the close up for Session 5-7:
Tumblr media
And the Session 7 only close up:
Tumblr media
I kept the dead players in the teams’ averages, since I think it is a better reflection of the teams’ strength as a whole, but I also created a version that excluded dead players. In those screenshots you can really see Bad Boys’ and TIES’ time jumping up at a death, instead of falling as it did here.
Here are the alternate averages graph:
Tumblr media
And close ups:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This makes Bad Boys look a lot better, because Grian does have a lot of time... but he is also alone. And there is definitely strength in numbers. Two players at an hour and a half each can fend off an attacker more easily than a single player at three hours can... unless nerves and panic get to them, as we definitely saw this session.
Wow and I almost forgot to include the raw data for this session!
The first hour of the session:
Tumblr media
The second hour of the session:
Tumblr media
There is just so much death! Look at all the box outlines!! I could barely fit this data on two screens on the zoom I was on, and I did not want to zoom out further.
I also obviously have data for the averages, but it was too far away from the column with the times on it that I wasn’t sure if it would still be useful on its own? Let me know if you want to see it!
This has once again been fascinating to see, and I cannot wait to see how Session 8 will go. Will it be the last session? Will they go until everyone is dead? Will they somehow have enough people with enough time to get to Session 9? Will Mean Gills be the final two and get to play fun relaxing games like Scott was suggesting?
Only time will tell.

Past close friendship to one sided Radiostatic speaks to me on many levels because as an ace (on an aromantic side as well) I unfortunately broke a heart or two of people who were all in for a relationship with me (before knowing I was an aro/ace) but I simply couldn't commit in the same way and meet the expectations of such a relationship... but I was also on the other side, where I wished to have a deep platonic/queerplatonic relationship but I knew the emotional/physical needs of the other person wouldn't be met in such an arragement but my god, didn't I yearn.

The Blood We Shed, It Never Dries
His hand cradled the back of his brother's head, gentle and firm and there. He whispered a curse, a prayer, a promise of love. His voice wavered, broke. He began to cry, soft at first and then louder, louder, until he was crying and sobbing and holding his brother like the most precious of treasures, the most holy of all holy things. Cradling him as of he were a child, something sacred, something to be cherished. Should be be cherished? Did he deserve it, after all this time?
His brother certainly seemed to think so, whispering how he was so sorry, he was so, so scared, and how much relief he had felt to see him alive. Alive, alive, alive.
He didn't feel alive. He felt hollow, he felt small. He was small, in his brother's arms. Something fell out of his limp hands as his brother sank to the dusty, bloody ground with him in his grasp. He didn't look at it, it didn't seem to matter. Was he alive? Did he deserve to be?
He blinked slowly, hearing his brother's sobbing through water. His head hurt. He was thirsty. He wanted to cry, but he was too tired. He wanted to wrap his arms around his brother, this man, this simple, loving, amazing man who was larger than life, who was his rock, his shelter, his home. But his arms were too small, made of lead. He couldn't even lift his head.
Was his breath getting shorter? Or was he just tired? Was it evening into sleep, or was he dying? He couldn't tell, and that made him panic. His breath sped. Good, not dying.
But once it sped, it didn't slow. His brother gave him a worried look, then a soft call of his name. A firmer hug. His breath continued to speed, gasping like a fish out of water. Maybe he was dying. Maybe this was it. Why when he realized it, was there such a profound fear? Did his friends feel this fear when they died? His eyesight was blurry- ah, there were the tears he'd been too tired to cry.
" ... 'M dyin'." He slurred quietly, chest shuddering- was it with final breaths, or sobs?
"Oh, honey. You're not dying." His brother said, with a teary laugh. "Not dying at all. You had me convinced you were going to, but you didn't. You're safe and sound right here."
He looked to the side, and could catch a glimpse of blood and a limb and someone's face, a bandanna, a boomerang, an eye - before his face was gently directed away and back to his brother's chest, holding him there, caging protecting him.
"Who-?" He croaked, bringing hands up to grasp at his brother, his rock, his lifeline. His parent.
"No one you know. Not one of us. Not Tune, not me. Not Tune, not anyone you need to worry yourself with." Names. Oh, those existed. Kokiri didn't bother with names, they only had them when Link was there.
He wasn't Kokiri anymore. And he wasn't Link.
"... T'ne's 's safe?" Mask slurred, blinking slowly, grasping a little less tight at the Captain's shirt. One hand lost its grip and fell, before Mask sluggishly tried to get it back up and latched onto the Captain again.
"He's safe." His brother easy lied, keeping this child, his child, his brother, his son, in the sweet and blissful dark. Mask didn't need to see the Sailor yet. No one did. No one would see this field but Mask and Captain Link, Mask made sure of that.
"Good." Mask whispered, eyes fluttering. He was so, so sleepy. For once, he didn't snap at the Captain for holding him so dearly. He was tired. It felt nice. Tune was safe. Where was he?
"T'ne?? Tune?" Mask whispered, mouth full of cotton, as he tried calling for his brother. Wars gave him a sad look, with both joy and grief in his eyes. Who was the joy for, and more importantly, who was the grief for? "Shhhh, dear. He won't answer right now."
Mask shuddered. There was something the Captain wasn't telling him, wasn't there. He knew that look, that crinkle in his brow. He could see early gray hairs at his right temple, and he reached to touch. His hand was covered in blood. Was it his own???
Mask startled and pulled his hand back, leaving a very small, bloody handprint on the Captain's face. He was about to whisper an apology, but Captain Link cut him off. "Shhh, shh. Shh. It's not yours, it's not mine. I've got you. How about you take a nap, hmm? I'll get you all washed up and you can sleep?"
Sleep sounded phenomenal. But there was a part of the Captain missing, it was clear. Maybe multiple parts. At least a single visible one.
"... Sc'rf?" Mask fingered the edge of Captain Link's collar, leaving blood there. "You wouldn't want to see it now. All dirty. I'll get it cleaned."
"Mom?" Mask whispered, sniffling. "Wh'r's T'ne?" He wanted his brother. Tune's hands were warm and his hair smelled like salt and his eyes were sea green. Captain's were cold, too big, gripping tight, as if afraid Mask would disappear. Tune would know what to say.
"Don't worry, honey. Just sleep, okay? Just take a nap. We can worry about it later." Treating it as if it were another bloody spot on his tunic. Mask wanted to ask more, wanted to cry, to call out for Tune again... but his eyes closed. "L've you Mom." He whispered quietly, not noticing the way The Captain looked over the destruction before him. "I love you too, Mask. Get some sleep."
The Captain laid his son, his brother, his kid down on the dusty ground and moved to his other one. The one that wasn't moving, and wouldn't. Only sixteen. A giant scarf draped over him, like a burial shroud. Warriors held a limp hand, the only part of his other kid he could bear to look at.
"I'm so, so sorry, Tune. So sorry. I love you. Mask loves you, and he's sorry. He won't know how you died. Only I will. And I'm sorry for that. But he doesn't need to kill himself to attempt to make it right. I can't lose both of you. Losing you is hell enough. I love you." And he kissed the place where Tune's forehead was supposed to be, covered by bloody cloth.
Link went back to his currently sleeping child, hands curled up, only nine, unaware of the grief and destruction around him. Link stepped on the cursed, bloody, wooden mask as he went by, cracking it clean in two and then picking up his child. It wasn't Mask's fault. It was his namesake's.
He didn't hear the god scream in pain from it's vessel being broken. Mask curled up tighter in Link's arms and started to whine, covering his ears. He could hear. Link helped cover them.
Then he carried him home.
