Do you have any super random headcanons about eris
Sorry these have taken forever, my life is a FIRE rn.
These should not be controversial yet...😤🫠
He reads a lot, but is more of an intellectual mystery and/or experimental fiction kind of guy. I don't see him really liking romance that much. He's not opposed to it, but he's not seeking it out either. Same with adventure based and horror books.
Eris also likes cats. He is both a dog and cat person.
I feel like once he discovers coffee, he's never going back to tea
He and his mom and close in age, which he tries not to think about too much.
Speaking of age - Eris is not one to celebrate birthdays. But if you insist, he would like the pie his mother made him as a child, thank you very much.
Plays the piano - he's just okay at more technical stuff but really thrives on romantic era pieces.
Side sleeper
Eris DOES have close friends but they are all on the continent and minding their business until Beron dies.
Excellent at darts, loses at dice
Someone mentioned this on an eris week post but i definitely believe he's growing his hair out after Beron dies
More specific shit under the cut so i don't clog dash
Part of me thinks that Eris would decide to stay single forever and let the power of the Autumn Court select one of his nephews as high lord OR (honestly more likely) if he does get married, his wife is someone who never knew the true horrors of Beron or Hybern or all the Prythian bs, but they deeply respect him and honor the time it takes for him to undo all that trauma. haha what that's not my fic at all.
Similarly, if Eris did have children, I imagine one of them is a daughter who is basically a mini-him and he is not sure what to do with that. He's certainly not a bad father, but he has to really work at it. This is absolutely not the plot of one of my fics im writing what?!
He and cassian never become best friends, but they learn to tolerate each other.
Elain, however, grows on Eris and they become fast friends.
Okay I probably could think of more but im tired and im pretty sure everything above the cut was more in line with what you wanted.
Hope you enjoyed?!

i really appreciate u in making enemies to lovers REAL because most of the time it’s not giving.. like people just dont get the excellence of the that trope if the characters are fake mean. NOO they need to be MEAN mean in order for the story to be GREAT… like.. not good person type of mean but thats what makes it great and entertaining to read.
The only thing i hope is for the FMC to be equally as mean and horrible, it’d be a next level enemies to lovers. FMC in dc is a bit too nice and too ‘weak’ but then again reading evolution of lovers heart makes me think u like writing fmc that is nice and genuinely kind hearted that almost makes us want to rip out hair out but then at the end we got plot twists that makes us understand why she needs to be nice and kind and how she’s so much more than that so im kinda waiting for that switch up in dc and honestly with chapter 14 i can see the evolution. cant wait!!
i'm glad! i really wanted to make them enemies, but honestly, if there's any chance of them ever getting closer, i feel like there needs to be some sort of misunderstanding. (or not make them "real" enemies to start with). i feel like if i had made her even meaner, then things hadn't evolved in the way they did. the reason she's "able" to still be so upset at him for being mean to her is because she wasn't that mean to him, she wouldn't come for anyone like he did her. and the story deals a lot with feminism and sexism, and it's a lot more "natural" for men to be angrier and meaner and get away with it. she couldn't act just in any way or she would've probably been reprimanded and fired for harassment or smth. it all ties back to gender roles and gender differences in a way. if you remember, she told jk at the beginning that she doesn't think men are even capable of love? so she definitely feels like men just don't care, whereas she would never stoop so low. so while i do enjoy writing sweet female characters, it's not the main reason she's "weaker" in this fic ❤️
#reader in eoalh is more of a pushover which i wouldn't call dc reader. dc reader has been furious for a long time#she's just been through a LOT and knows what she can(t) get away with and how the world (esp her work environment) favors men#and she thinks that she and women are “better” for not being as violent or ruthless#ask#anon#fic:dc#fic:eoalh

Hidden in plain sight
A short drabble on assassin Martin :)
"The clover has fallen." The dirty blonde hair woman crosses her arms seemingly readying herself for a monster.
A redheaded man in a stripped sweater with soft features stops and turns to face her. His face was soft splattered with freckles. His thick, framed glasses were pushed back on his face. His blue gray eyes narrowed as he frowned, raising a brow. "Lena sent you." He sighs, and the softness seems to drain out of his features. "I don't enjoy being interrupted on a job."
The woman tilts her head. "You're Blackwood?"
"I am." The man hums softly. "Have my orders changed?"
The dirty blonde haired woman hands over a letter. "I was told to deliver this to you in person."
Blackwood takes the letter and reads it slowly and shuts his eyes, and takes a deep breath. "Things have changed." He pauses. "Did she ever explain why?"
The woman shakes her head. "She said I would be your handler."
"I am able to read." Blackwood smiles sharp and sinister. "I shall inform you when I have to show my true colors to my now marks under my protection." He folds the letter back to, and he softens, becoming a stranger. "I already know who you are, Gwendolyn."
Gwen watches the large man disappear in a crowd stunned.
.....
Tim sighs, leaning against the doorframe. "Are you sure you're ok here? I've got a nice couch back at my apartment."
Martin smiles as he sits on the cot. "Im fine, Tim. Besides, what if I lead these worms to your place? That would be horrid, and you don't deserve that."
"Tim, don't even try. He already refused mine and Jon's offers. I even think Rosie offered, too." Sasha shakes her head. "I'm still going to get you a better blanket."
Martin smiles softly. "You're too kind."
"Goodnight, Martin." Tim frowns. "Seriously though, if you change your mind, my door is always open."
Sasha dragged Tim with her. "Stay safe Martin the weekend isn't forever."
Martin smiles until he hears the door shut, and he knows they left. Jon is in his office and won't bother him until he leaves at about 9 pm. Jonah won't watch him down here unless he causes damage. He reaches down and takes out a box, and opens it to reveal needles. He can use these worms as target practice until he hears Jon visit him, and then when Jon leaves, he can really start to train again. The tunnels are excellent to actually hone his skills.
.......
Gwen heard the creak of the yellow door too late because there was a distorted scream behind her and blood with colors that didn't make sense spilled on the table in front of her as Blackwood leaned back in his seat and sipped his tea.
A distorted voice growls, and the long hand with too many sharp angles tried to pull his impaled hand from the table. "What are you?"
Blackwood narrowed his gaze and sipped his tea. "I don't appreciate you going after my assigned to protect. You're a weak avatar of the distortion is still so focused on old wrongs done to you. Your little vendetta against a dead woman will lead to your undoing." He places his mug down. "You would have made a good ally if you weren't so wrapped up in your little plot."
Gwen knew better to look behind her at the monster. "Why protect me?"
"You are my handler, Gwen, and I do prefer you to Lena. I could make you hate me if I so desired, but you're still so new to this world. It would be unwise to ruin this relationship for my own amusement." Blackwood flicks his gaze to Micheal. "Learn to control yourself and not just feed if you truly want to go up against me. Just because I am young doesn't mean much when I know how to kill you."
Micheal seems to glitch as Blackwood removes the knife. "You're not human."
"I'm not an avatar either." Blackwood tilts his head. "Remember, Micheal, you either can join me, or I will be forced to kill you if you lay another hand on the ones I've been assigned to protect."
The yellow door creaks shut without another word.
Gwen crosses her arms. "Why ask me to come here?"
"A few reasons. One you might as well ask me questions, you deserve some answers that Lena won't give you. Two, I must warn you that your brother isn't entirely dead as Jonah uses his body. However, I do not know the full extent of how it works. Third again I rather like you as a handler, so I wish to keep you around." Blackwood picks up his mug. "This is also a lovely cafe. I enjoy the excuse to visit."
"I do have questions." Gwen pauses and sighs. "Will you answer truthfully?"
"I don't have a reason to lie to you." Blackwood takes another sip from his mug. "I understand the hesitation, but I can assure you, I've learned it's not optimal to lie to handlers."
Gwen nods and begins her questions.

Alastor x Reader pt.6
A/N Oh my goodness! I didn't expect the story to get this much attention! Im going to do some sort of second story where Alastor and the reader are in hell. If theres no objections I'll also feature some helluva boss characters (just to advance the plot!)
I am very sorry for not updating! I went out of town, nearly broke my hip, got sick, and started a new job all in the last 2 weeks. I should be able to post once every three days now :)
Thank you to everyone reading the story! I love sharing my ideas and feel free to reach out if there are any stories you want to see!
TW-Animal Blood(?)
Chapter 7
You woke up in Alastor's arms. It wasn't on purpose! You both had agreed to split the bed, pride getting in the others way. Apparently, somewhere in the night you each reached for the other. Not minding the extra warmth, you fell back asleep. There was no point in moving away; you liked him, he was comfy, and kept you warm. The second time you woke up, the sun was bright and the bed was empty. Worried you checked the clock to make sure you hadn't overslept to open the shop. You had forty five minutes to get the store open. Not as much time as you would have liked, but also not anything too out of your range.
"Ah! My sleeping beauty, glad you're now awake!" a voice said from the doorway. Alastor? You thought he had left. "Come now! I have made us breakfast."
Alastor could cook. Breakfast tasted like it was picked up from a five star restaurant on the more expensive side of town. Over breakfast he told you that he was unable to leave such a beautiful person alone and you needed the rest from the previous night. He actually didn't leave you at all that day.
He sat talking with you in your shop keeping well mannered company. Alastor would never admit it, but he absolutely loved listening to you talk. He spent so much time talking on the radio it was nice to finally be listening to others. He never really cared for sewing but asked you questions about how you did certain things and complimenting your stitch work. He also would assist you while you worked; measuring, flipping things right side outing grabbing fabric as needed. He liked feeling useful to you and watching you work on something you were passionate about.
:Thank you so much for your help today Allie."
"Allie?" He tilted his head like a puppy hearing 'no' for the first time.
"Yeah! Like a nickname," you beamed at him. Alastor mulled the name over in his head before deciding it was okay when it rolled off your tongue and into his ears. No one else could ever be allowed to call him Allie aside from you.
"Hmmmm. Alright" He was at a loss for a nickname truly just wanting to call you his. "Why don't we go and fetch ourselves dinner. I know the most exquisite place!"
"that would be lovely!" Your demeanor was much calmer than your racing thoughts. First, Alastor had stayed the night and made breakfast. Secondly he spent the entire day with you. And now he wanted to take you to dinner! You felt like a romance character from the books you had read and heard stories of.
He had helped you close the shop, took your arm in his (it was the only way you two ever walked together) and he led the way to the restaurant.
It was a nice place with candles and flowers on the table. There was a live band playing softly to entertain guests as they dined.
Alastor was sweet and kind with you, he made excellent recommendations about what drinks to try and meals to order. You both split a cake together for dessert. The night was wonderful, absolutely perfect! The only thing that there you off was the way in which Alastor ordered his steak.
"Alastor!" you had whisper-yelled "that cow is so undercooked I can still hear it moo-ing in the fields. Do we need to have the waiter take it back for just a moment longer?"
"Haha oh no darling! I just enjoy my cut of meat like this. It holds so much more flavor!" You gave him a quizzical look swearing you had just seen blood dark as your wine pool on the plate.
When your night had come to an end, Alastor had walked you home and kissed your cheek. It had left you red and blushing thinking about it as you slept.
The next morning you had awoken ready to start your chores. You folded the blanket and pajamas that Alastor had borrowed and cleared a drawer for the items to reside in. Today you had a new activity you hadn't done in years.
You walked down the stairs leading to your shop and to the circular display table at the center of your shop. Grabbing the wilted flowers and vase you got to work and put them in your oven to dry them out. You loved keeping gifts, flowers were beautiful but difficult to keep but you made it work.
The entire day you were all that was on Alastor mind. He simply could not get enough of you despite spending the entire day together before. He was talking to his mother about the feeling and how he had never experienced it, unsure of what to do he was searching for advice. His mother was not helping the situation, she merely laughed at him. "Oh Al, why don't'cha go onna date together and court the poor thing!" What if you didn't like him back? What if he made a total fool of himself. His mother could sense his worries, "well whoever can put up with ya for a full day definelty doesn't not like you." She pinched his cheeks and went back to cooking for the both of them

☕️ fav fantasy books/series and what makes them so good and so For Jess. bonus for thoughts on what makes a less good fantasy fall flat
oh Boy okay alright!!!!
fantasy series i love/are excellent/peak For Jess: radiant emperor duology by shelley parker-chan (point: is it fantasy or just historical-ish fiction with some supernatural elements? counterpoint: i fucking love it and this is my list). the lumatere chronicles by melina marchetta. the daevabad trilogy by s. a. chakraborty. queen's thief my beloved!!!!! piranesi aka one of the best novels i read in 2020. tortall series by tamora pierce (but protector of the small quartet is the best of them).
honorable mentions: the raven tower by ann leckie; sharon shinn's elemental blessings series isn't like, as sharp as the top tier, but i really enjoy every reread; earthsea (but mostly the ones about tenar); it feels like cheating to say discworld but again: my list; the divine cities by robert jackson bennett; the stravaganza books were not quote unquote good but they did change my brain chemistry when i was 13; goblin emperor books (but more witness for the dead bc u kno me, i love a murder mystery). lotr would be here except i read them all once as a 6th grader and have yet to return. i still need to read the oleander sword but the jasmine throne kicked ass.
ok what is the unifying factor here lol. strong world building is very important i think; a real sense of a distinct place and culture/mix of cultures rather than Generic Medieval European City. there was a really good post going around that was like, where does the food come from (aka have you thought about how all of this actually works?), and a lot of these series think about Where Does The Food Come From. differences in cultural norms among different groups within the world AND from the audience. plots strongly rooted in politics/the inherent people-ness of people rather than everything relying on magic (not to say i don't love me some magic/divine plaything stories!!!! but they hit so much harder when the conflict comes from a place of innate human foibles). a dash of wonder and the inexplicable. if an answer is needed, it fits in the schema of everything else, but you don't feel the author trying to answer literally everything (when an author is sweating to show their work u can tell imo). most of these have at least one set of people where i want to see them kiss on the mouth, but most of the time that is not the Point; the best fantasy for me treats romance as a subplot/b-plot where it informs the stakes but is not the stakes itself. and ur basics of a good book in general: good writing, good pacing, et cet er a!
what makes them fall flat? world building inconsistency; new magic springing up because well, the author NEEDED it (aka those moments when you can see the seams lol); when the romance is the a plot (sorry but romantasy = not for jesses!!!!!); i think also authors get tripped up both by not planning ahead enough AND planning ahead too much when doing series (if you get a deal for one than one book you should have more than one book's worth of material; however if you can’t change and move then you can be stifled! see ursula le guin revisiting the gendered magic of earthsea in tehanu years later, or tamora pierce going oh shit there are normies in tortall in protector of the small). also this is a ME thing but i fuckin hate purple or twee prose. fantasy does not mean break out the thesaurus.
sorry for the novel. im gonna think of like six more books as soon as i post this

Abbott Elementary S03E07 thoughts
Melissa having a spare room baring in mind we’ve seen her house feels fake sorry - How will she have a room mate but noone look at her pictures and keep control of her kitchen. I get its gonna be for plot but i don’t buy it
I’m w ava that’s a woman who just found out she’s not pregnant - that’s a woman who’s been successfully slutting it up (how’s she gonna slut it up with a roommate)
Omg protective barb 🥺 (ALSO BARBS RIGHT BC MEL WOULDNT GIVE OUT HER ADDRESS WILLINGLY)
AS SOON AS SHE SAID NERD I THOUGHT JACOB
“I know its gods will but hes gotten awfully creative” 😭😭😭😭😭
I love it when Mr johnson lore gets unlocked
Manny and the beard whew 😮💨 I was literally wondering where he was so I’m glad they’re using him again
Janine ur SO SMART this is such a good idea and not like a janine unnecessarily fixing a problem like an actual good idea- good job babygirl
Not ava spilling the tea to the whole room
Ponytail melissa at home is so personal to me, I love that this continues from s2, this is just who she is, she throws her hair up when she’s at home. I like that she’s wearing the eagles hoodie we’ve seen before too. Love the hair, makeup & costume details on this show
“I only know how to cook for 12” 😭
Finally mel talking about her breakup! Damn maybe it really was “im not bringing this to school” this whole time
Also Gary being a dead ringer for her dad?? I’m not saying my headcanons are more correct than the show but I disagree with this statement. Gary is not schemmenti coded.
Omg the jacob melissa work momming work sonning ive been dreaming of
“And dont forget theres a 3 booked limit 😒” barb is PISSED and i LOVE IT
“Oh i know what a google doctor is 😤”
Barb really is the best character on tv im sorry noone can do it like sheryl lee ralph like they just cant Shes everything
Janine forgetting the key term (pottery wheel) in her analogy she is so me
“Jacob if u dont like my ziti just say so and i will heave myself out that window” 😭😭
“I went to find mr johnson but he was still crying” NO 😭💔 hes just a sensitive guy 😔
“Mrs howard i blew down the house” 🥺🤏🏻 I love the kids being so central in this ep, I’ve missed that recently, and the kindergarteners are soooo cute
“🐷 I am a pig 🐺 i am a wolf 😄 and im a librarian who thinks she can just change everything around here 👋” IJBOL no please give sheryl another emmy I beg
“This programme is more of a distraction than an improvement” that’s teaaa actually. Thats so often what councils etc do, distract with new flashy things rather than fix the real problems. Even though in this case it’s well meaning it does make u think how big a priority should the library actually be? But actually children reading is super important and what did they say last season? The librarian was an alexa in glasses? 🤣
“You okay? You look like raven having a vision” 😭 you don’t understand how often i say this
I have thoughts on Barbara’s intentions and my instinct is gregory needs to keep her name out his mouth. I do think it’s really important that Janine stood up to Barbara, just maybe gregory made barbara seem worse than she was
“It’s been a rough week I could use the pick me up” i just love mr johnson
My immediate reaction was this one of my favourite episodes of the season - lots of excellent Barb moments, the kids, more mr johnson, story arcs I enjoyed and felt completed.
Janine standing up to Barbara was a really big deal for her considering her hatred of conflict and worship of barbara as a mother figure. It made me really proud to see how far janine has come.
But the longer since watching the less I like it. And it’s two main things:
- the jacob melissa room mate situation feels like jumping the shark for plots sake and not something realistic for those characters. So as much as I enjoy them and their dynamic and their growth it just feels fake.
- I dont care about the librarian. The set up feels like she could stick around and I just don’t care for new characters, I like my main people. (But then the same apprehension was had w the district people and they’ve not seemed to be around much).
I do still really like this ep and it definitely ranks highly in the season, just idk, some eps I enjoy more over time but this has made me feel more confused as to what will happen next I guess.

So I haven't posted in a while. Little updates:
I finished arc 1 of Guardian in chinese again. So now I wont feel bad reading the book 1 english translation.
I took a break from chinese for a while then came back to read. And its interesting to me how much is stored like "2nd level down" in my memory. I don't recall words when trying to talk, after a long enough break. But I start reading, and my brain subvocalizes the hanzi and I can recall this Gist General Meaning of the words. Some words I recall their meaning and all, some just an overall general idea. But I havent forgotten much, nothing totally forgotten, and then most of the details of words come back within an hour or reading. Its surprising to me that reading chinese, memory wise, seems a LOT like reading french. I didnt expect it to be quite as similar a process. But it seems that remembering hanzi Words is as permanent as remembering french word stems/endings (or english ones). Reading skills have long staying power, and don't degrade much even with long breaks between usage. This is Excellent news. Since I don't have time to study much for the next several months, so I'm glad reading skills will stay as good as they are Or Improve if I read, without needing maintenance study. I'd like to improve my listening skill too, because being able to understand audiobooks would increase the chinese novels I could get through that I want to read (audiobooks would be faster than reading). But I dont have time yet for listening reading combo study, and time will tell if i do that activity WHEN and IF listening skills also gradually solidify then become reliable so one can study more sporadically and still see improvement.
My french skills are. Fascinating. I havent purposely studied in like over 5 years. I dont get that much French exposure (my google is in french but tbh google email and notifications do not use a big variety of words). But I've noticed a dramatic improvement in listening skills. My french reading skills have been fine for years. Theyre at a level where I can read like a high schooler: so i can read fiction for adults, but some words or literary devices go over my head and I have to just guess, the more in depth text analysis of themes might be a challenge, but just getting the story/information/most details is fine. I havent had to limit what i read in french in ages. Its just a matter of in french i feel like i did in high school where some fiction makes me "think hard" to grasp some points, versus english where i dont run into needing to Think Hard like that unless I'm reading something written pre-1800s. Anyway my point is: reading skills have been stable a while in french. Listening skills have markedly improved despite very little purposeful practice. I think I should probably start listening to podcasts or audiobooks some point soon. Through scattered listening to B1 and B2 comprehensible audio on youtube, and french shows, im to a point where if the audio has visual context i can follow everything going on and learn new words pretty easy. So now its just listening to french when i have no visuals to rely on, that's a struggle. I remember a few years back, i could not listen to french shows id just get confused, i needed the subtitles to follow anything. My ears mustve gotten used to french or just gotten used to Listening Better to things. Anyway, if i start trying and French Listening Only materials ill mention some progress.
Anyone have any french audiobooks or podcasts/fiction story podcasts they enjoy???
Japanese. also in a weird place. ToT. My biggest hurdle isnt even japanese: its being too chicken to challenge myself. I can play Yakuza Ishin in japanese and follow the main idea and objectives and main points in scenes. Yet i have NOT played more cause it feels Draining to grasp all that info from context and im lazy. I know if i watch a show in only japanese, with japanese subtitles, i know enough to grasp the main plot. But im lazy and its a LOT of effort to see the japanese subtitles and match new sounding words with kanji and try to remember the new pronunciation AND pay attention to the brand new plot. So i fall back onto english subs. I KNOW i can read japanese novels with a click dictionary, its just such SLOW reading, and if i just read while listening and Guess all unknown words its mentally exhausting even though its faster. I even have the easy peasy Glossika Japanese audio to listen to, but im still on lesson 36 because i have to Pay Full Attention when i listen to new lessons and im too lazy to listen with full attention ToT. I can watch lets plays in japanese, i understand them, but the effort of focusing is so much MORE than it would take if i just went to watch an english lets play where i can just hear in the background and follow it fine not even looking at it.
I am at a POINT in japanese where I CAN just learn by doing now! Which is huge! Its an incredibly useful milestone to be at! And makes future study, in the long run, much less daunting to plan as it can become just Do Stuff In Japanese to study. But since im at the beginning of this Comprehend Enough to Learn More from Context phase... learning new stuff from context still takes SO MUCH EFFORT. ITS SO DRAINING. Paying enough attention to comprehend things ive studied is exhausting, paying extra attention to new stuff and guessing what it means is draining and requires a Lot of focus. I know this is just how this stage goes but. Im so lazy.
What i need is something in japanese im SO interested in, that it drives me to engage with it even though I'm drained because im so Curious and Interested in understanding, so i push through until comprehending gets easier. Ideally, a game or show, something that plays so i am Forced to frequently proceed to the next sentence. Because with books and manga i will just stop and dwell on a paragraph for 2 hours and not learn much new stuff.
This stage is especially grating because im not in the stage with french or chinese anymore. I can listen to chinese shows in the background, check my phone while listening, not use the chinese subtitles, pay half attention while drawing. Chinese audiobooks require More attention, but i can listen to them walking or driving without subtitles/transcript and still follow the plot. With french Im to that same comfortable point with shows and youtube videos, not audio only stuff yet but i dont Engage with french audio only stuff. My point is Japanese is the only one where Im really feeling that INTENSE FOCUS drain whenever i try to engage with challenging new stuff in japanese. I dont feel an intense drain with chinese unless I read one of my harder reading level Print Novels or a higher vocab audio only material. I dont feel it with french unless Im doing it with audio only material. I feel the drain constantly with japanese.

The (Im)Perfect Ardmore
Warning: NSFW, SMUT (18+), age difference
Word Count: 607
Pairing: Recom Miles Quaritch x Ardmore! Reader Plot: “Would the best daughter be doing this? Letting herself be used in the dirtiest way possible by the Colonel.”
~~~
It was hard trying to be perfect. Constantly it seemed like people around you were waiting for you to mess up. You did have a lot to live up to with being the General’s daughter and all. So much was being expected out of you. To make your mother proud you always worked to excel in school and to be the best daughter.
Would the best daughter be doing this? Letting herself be used in the dirtiest way possible by the Colonel. Moans filled her room as Quaritch had his mouth over yours. His hands roamed down, skimming over your breast, your hips, and your ass. Without breaking the kiss, he pushed your legs open as he moved himself between your legs. He moved forward to where his cock was grinding against your pussy. Your shorts had been discarded long ago so the only thing separating you from each other was his camo pants and your panties. The sensation from feeling him made you moan against his lips once more.
“I need you Miles.” You pleaded. You wanted him inside you. No! You needed him inside you. He pulls away from you and meets your gaze with a smirk on his lips.
“All good things come to those who wait.” He teased me. Fucker. You just wanted him to fill you up and he was just teasing you. He brings his head down to leave teasing his kisses on your neck causing you to groan.
“Miles! Please,” You whimpered as you brought your hand to his cock and started to rub him through his pants. Usually teasing was nice but you wanted him in you and not to play games. He laughed at your adamant behavior.
“Well since you asked so nicely. Who am I to deny you?” He stands back up in front of your bed. His fingers are at the hem of your panties and he rips them off of you. Before you could even catch it he swiftly entered you causing you to cry out a little. You were surprised and overwhelmed with a wave of pleasure. His dick entering you and pleasing you never got tiring.
You hear Miles groan about you. He comes down to run his fangs along your neck while occasionally nipping at your skin. Your moans are driving him crazy and make him animalistic. Something starts to take him over because he is then fucking you in a more primal manner. Feeling him go in and out of you felt so good. This isn’t the first time he made you feel this way and it will definitely won’t be the last. You started to feel the intense build up of pleasure as he continued to nip at your neck, eventually sucking on the sweet spot on your neck. Before you knew it you were ready to let go. He must have sensed it and must have been there too because he started to pick up the paste.
“Come with me, sugar.” His words are what tips the scale over, making you cum. You give one last moan as you reach your climax, feeling his cum be released inside you. He pumped into you a few more times to finish off his orgasm and then collapsed next to you on your bed. Pants filled the room as you both were working to catch your breath.
This was who you were. You could be imperfect to everyone else. You were perfect to Miles, especially when you were bent over, being filled up by him. You’re his little whore and he knows what you need. And, oh boy, does he not have a problem giving it to you when you want it?
~~~

MUN MONDAY: GETTING TO KNOW YOU
Respond to the following prompts out of character, then tag others you'd like to get to know a little bit better!
ROLEPLAYER NAME: You can call me Owl, or Sam. :) Whatever you prefer.
ROLEPLAYER PRONOUNS: He/Him
MUSE NAME: Haarlep.
PREFERRED COMMUNICATION: I'm fine with either IM's or Discord. Time zones are a bit shit for me since I live in Australia, but I'll catch you when I can.
EXPERIENCE: I've been Rping way over a decade now. On tumblr? Since... 2012, I think? But waaay before then, back in probably 2007 or something. I've Rped on multiple platforms.
PREFERRED ROLEPLAY TYPE: I greatly prefer para/novella. I like delving into a character's mind and thought process. I know I write a LOT of inner monologue for my muses as well, I actually STRUGGLE with short replies, so when someone gives me a single para or line... it's really difficult for me to match that short length, but it's also something that I don't really vibe with. I greatly prefer longer replies. I want to delve into characters and see how they react, I want to learn all of those little things about your muses as well. I'm a sucker for character development. I'm also a fan of the nitty gritty.
PET PEEVES & DEALBREAKERS: One line responses. Please, for the love of god... give me something to work with. It's a quick way for me to show disinterest and likely not really reach out to write with unless it's something that I am REALLY enjoying for small snippets. But please, I greatly prefer longer replies. Short ones also make me feel like you're just not interested in what my characters have to say :/ Please read my rules, whilst I know we can't remember EVERYONE'S rules (seriously, I forget as well!), it is obvious when people don't. If my muse is a muse of power or something, then please treat them as such. If your muse ends up wanting to attack or something, and they are of a lower class... then they won't win. It's just that simple. Respect the power of certain muses.
PLOTS OR MEMES: I like both and am fine with both. Whilst I LOVE plotting and getting to know muses and getting an idea of where we can go, I also understand that sometimes our brains are just too tired from real life and memes can be something simpler and quicker. I think both of them are very good for very different reasons, which I'm fine with both. By all means, memes are EXCELLENT ice breakers imo, and then we can always plot something once we've established a little starter. :)
LONG REPLIES OR SHORT REPLIES: Long, lol. As covered in my previous responses.
BEST TIME TO WRITE: I get a lot more done when I'm writing in the mornings. Obviously due to work, I am tired in the evenings, so I get very little done (Haarlep has certainly reawakened my muse tho I'm shocked at how much I've been writing on my work nights lol). I mostly write on Fridays as it's the only day I have to myself, so I try and churn out as many replies as I can, but once it hits the afternoon, I'm pooped lol. So yeah, mornings are definitely best!
ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSES: Haarlep? Absolutely not. Haarlep caught me by utter surprise when it came to being a muse of mine. I saw him once, had a little laugh, and suddenly he wouldn't leave my mind, and then I just... had the persistent urge to write them. I'm very happy that he did come to me, though, as he's really been helpful in making me come back to RP on a more regular basis and I've had such a good time exploring him. But no, we're absolutely nothing alike. Haarlep is an incubus, and I'm asexual as fuck lol. If anything, and don't take this the wrong way because it's probably going to sound BAD lol, but I have more in common with Raphael than I do with Haarlep X'D and that's... saying something, since I am not an evil devil hahaha. The only thing I think I could say about me and Haarlep being similar is the fact that I can mask like a beast in public. (: Even then, that's entirely different to what Haarlep is doing, I'm just masking because I'm austistic and people have expectations of me in society lol, Haarlep is masking because he's trying to seduce and eat someone hahaha.

tbh i do not recall the infertility but but in the beginning i was a bit cold on the series since they started off with the universal set-up in cdrama where all female characters but the lead and her servant at bitchy for no reason...so....yeah....some bits could have been better (especially since they had all the world set-up to ground the bitchiness of most of the women in the partiarchial constraints they are faced with) BUT it speaks to the otherwise very good character writing that 1. i got other that (and they did sth more interesting with some of the female characters 2. i don't remember the infertility plotline (if it is one)... - this got longer and more confusing than i intendend. but i love seeing your live comments on the show!
it was when wanning had the fake pregnancy herb thing! the doctor said she was infertile bc she had too many miscarriages in the past, and often when (western) media uses infertility as a character building device its where a woman sees herself as less feminine or even less useful or less human because she can't get pregnant (for example: natasha romanoff.) so i was SCARED they were gonna be like oh shes actually evil because shes infertile. but no that was literally just to make the fake pregnancy even more devastating and to give her a glimpse into having something she didnt know she could want any more, shes evil for other reasons ❤️ they dealt with it better than i thought they would, i rly feel for wanning after that plot, i mean shed be a terrible mother playing mind games with a 2 year old but her grief was so poignant..... i often get bored of wanting to be a mother plots but that just made me like her more. i support her rights And her wrongs tbh!!!
also yes i was a bit worried when i started watching that it would be stereotypical women in a cdrama but every single character has so much depth and no one is reduced to a stereotype... i especially love jiang nainai shes such an excellent character whenever she appears 🥹 its a good drama for women lol idk what it is abt wu jinyan but she picks dramas where women are Weird about each other and its amazing
im glad you're enjoying my live comments KDJDJDJE im so late to the party but im lovvving it. im jus sad there are only 33 fics on ao3 :(

omg plz do 13, 16, and 25 for the violence ask meme on tekken FWKJFK sorry for so much im just interested to hear ur thoughts!!!
13. worst blorboficiation
Objectively, Lee is the "least evil" mishima and congrats to him for leaving (tho forcefully) that fucked up family and yeah his childhood sucked big time and I have to respect the hustle of him rebranding himself into the funny "excellent" flamboyant guy but GOD he somehow successfully tricked everybody into forgetting that he is also very not a good person. I KNOW we are starving for positive relationships in tekken but he is very much as egoistical and self-interested as the rest of his family, kazuya is his brother only by name only and lee not only doesnt care about him nor their father and he would happily throw him or both of them under the bus to get ahead LIKE HE IS DOING NOW BY WORKING WITH LARS AND JIN AGAINST KAZUYA. Lee could not have inherited raw power from heihachi so he got his manipulativeness, sketchyness and charisma, and lets not talk about how the devil gene is alienating both kaz and jin so there is no way lee could even keep up with that. But if he could I really doubt he would still be regarded as the meme man that he is now. I love lee but I feel like the only person that can see smth sinister lurking under the surface thats funny and approachable and even has friends. Thats not a negative btw I love that about lee but the overly kindness I see from people's interpretation of him sometimes take me out. Hes better, but hes still not good, yknow?
(as for mk im just slipping it there bc its fresh in my head, johnny cage holds the really heavy burden of being the only somewhat comical main character in a sea of dramatic people so he is doomed to be mischaracterized I think. Either hes treated TOO seriously and it feels... wrong in a way I cant explain OR he is subject to comical whorification. But thats just me hating fun I guess.)
16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
Heihachi has the worst fucking development in tekken 7 it genuinely makes me insane that some people would enjoy this botched attempt of sympathy toward him, all while making fun of his original reasonning like "haha lions dont push their cubs off cliffs" WE KNOW its a traditional asian misconception that even has a name and it makes sense bc heihachi is old school but also ITS NOOOT ABOUT THE LITERAL LION THING ITS A METAPHOR ITS ABOUT GENERATIONAL TRAUMA AND TOXIC MASCULINITY GNGNHGNH and its BETTER than a hypothetical witch trial that makes NO SENSE bc HEIHACHI YOU THREW THE KID SAYING THAT IF HE SURVIVED, HE HAD THE EVIL IN HIM. AND THEN YOU RAISED HIM??? WHAT??? Its stupid. I hope he stays dead goodbye forever funny cockroach grandpa.
(mk break again but you genuinely have to explain 80% of the mk ships to me. Maybe its me being idk, a shipping paladin or smth and took an oath to the One True Pairing or whatever and im now blind to the rest but yeah I dont see the majority of it.)
25. common fandom complaint that you're sick of hearing
EVERYONE SPEAKING THEIR OWN LANGUAGE AND EVERYBODY UNDERSTANDING EACH OTHER DESPITE THAT IS ONE OF THE BEST THING ABOUT TEKKEN. FUCK YOU IF YOU WANT AN ALL JAPANESE OR ENGLISH DUB. ITS ORIGINAL ITS INTERESTING ITS GOOD TO HAVE CHARACTERS SPEAKING ACTUAL FRENCH, SPANISH, PORTUGESE, KOREAN AND OTHER IN A MAINSTREAM VIDEOGAME. FUCK YOU FOREVER IF YOU WANT TO TAKE THAT AWAY OR IF ITS "WEIRD" TO YOU BC ITS NOT REALISTIC, BORING BITCH.
ALSO "NOBODY CARES ABOUT THE PLOT" I DO!!! I DOOO!!! IM NOT GONNA LOWER MY STANDARDS FOR THEM TO MAKE A GOOD SATISFYING STORY JUST BC YOU CARE MORE ABOUT EVO TOURNAMENTS, MICROFRAME DATA, AND IF YOUR WAIFU MAKE IT BACK IN THE MAIN ROSTER.

poor man, and alexander being so gentle still instead of angry and lashing out is so endearing.
i frogot about oliver's face in the midsts of my nail biting. omg
ahhhhh, imma cry he is going to look so terrible when he wakes up fr fr.
Lily mention <3
Excellent liveblogging! Thank you for the commentary!
Oliver has been trained to associate feedings with pleasure which is why he doesn't immediately realize that the feeding will be painful and distressing...
I try not to give Oliver too much plot armor considering it is a whump story and all...

Been binge-reading your stuff for about a week. Absolutely wonderful. Heartwarming. Love it. Can’t wait for the final chapter of a body in motion.
As a fellow writer, kind of, in other mediums, sometimes: are you more of a pantser or more of an outliner? What does your process look like, if you feel like sharing? Have a great day!
hi omg i’m sooo so so glad you’ve been enjoying my writing recently !! and that is such an excellent question let me try to answer this in a somewhat coherent way LOL
i don’t really have much of a Process in a more structured sense of the term because honestly. up until i started chapter 2 of abim i had never outlined anything before and my fics would kind of just be a stream of consciousness where i figured out what the next scene was going to be as i wrote. with abim chapter 2, i did make the most barebones outline (like 10 bullet points w 10-15 words each) just listing the scenes because it’s a bit of a heavier fic and i wanted to keep things as cohesive as possible !! (it was also the first fic where i’ve ever jumped around and written scenes out of order which is normally very hard for me to do so this helped me keep track of that) i know some writers live and die by their outlines and honestly i’m starting to get the appeal, at least for fics i know are going to be more plot heavy or chaptered, just for continuity, but for plotless fluff-centric fics, i haven’t ever and don’t really see myself making them !!
one thing that is a common denominator between all my fics though, outline or otherwise, is that they’re all built upon one or two ideas for a scene that i kind of work backwards from. for example, in a body in motion, the last scene in chapter 2 was like. the first one that came to mind when i thought of the fic idea and i really did just work backwards from there !! sometimes it’ll be the kiss scene but more often than not it won’t be and i’ll put off the kiss until i physically cannot any longer LMAO but there’s usually one scene that the whole entire fic is based around and i feel like this is a pretty common thing as well but that’s where i get most of my ideas from!!
other than that uhhh usually my process is: start fic, write way way way way wayyy too much dialogue/banter, realize im not even halfway but i’m already at the word count i thought the whole fic would be, say fuck it and add more dialogue, finally write The Scene, fumble my way through a kiss, then say thank god i’m done and then edit and hit post before i can think about it too much. yeah.
thanks for asking !! i’m sure u did not intend to get a multi paragraph breakdown of Literally nothing of substance at all but. i love talking about writing and the process so thank u for indulging me !!! :^)
#sorry this is so long#for no reason#there’s nothing substantial in here anyway#but !!#so so glad you’ve been enjoying my work and thank u for popping in to ask !!#<3#/ask

I like to read your thoughts on IM comics. What were your thoughts on invincible iron man #6, i am ironman #3 and avengers (2023) #1
Hi anon! I'll gladly give you my thoughts.
Invincible Iron Man #6:
This run stays good, and has been consistently good for 6 issues now, which gives me hope that it will stay that good for the rest of it. I liked seeing 80s Tony, and his run-in with Emma was a fun and believable retcon. It does make me think that Emma and Tony being an item at some point in the future is likely, but at least Duggan builds it up, unlike Cantwell someone else. I think that even if the plot itself gets worse (which I don't really think it will), I will still enjoy this run because of the characterization. Look at these gems:
There are so many characterization moments that just make sense, and it has been that way in every issue so far. I love it. I also love that all the call-backs to his past seem to serve a purpose, and to me it feels like Duggan really knows what he's talking about and not just making a surface-level reference. The blend of seriousness and humour that Duggan writes really works for me. I like that Tony has moments of self-reflection, I like how determined he is to stop Feilong. The mix of recklessness and calculation that Tony shows is peak Tony to me. He uses his brain, but his emotions run high. Yes!
Also there are always fun panels, like this one: insert meme caption [me when I write fanfiction at three a.m.]
I Am Iron Man #3:
A touching issue. The start felt a bit weird and stilted to me, and I suspected that Tony was reciting lines/playacting. I was relieved when it turned out to be the case. The best part about this issue is the various Maria and Tony flashbacks. It made me a little emotional, to imagine that Tony's (only) best friend was his mother. They loved each other so much..... I am sad. This was my favourite panel:
Tony and Maria working on a car together? chef's kiss.
Now, this might be a little bit of an unpopular opinion but I can't fully enjoy the I Am Iron Man series because I can't really get into the writing style and art style. But I almost always like the Tony characterization, the humour is fun, and I love the Tony-Rhodey friendship. Also, Ayodele and Akande LOVE Tony and that really shows through and it's so refreshing to read. As fellow Iron Man fans, I love that they're doing an Iron Man series.
My nitpicky thoughts about this issue: 1. The tombstone with "Tony's best friend" is touching but makes zero sense and I found it a little too on the nose. 2. Tony's armour and his facial hair do not match in the last panels. He had a goatee at the time.
I do think that I haven't really been able to get into the series because the execution of the story didn't really work for me. The themes are great, though. Next issue will take place during Director of Shield Tony, and I think it will make or break my general opinion of the run. I have a very specific interpretation of what Tony's headspace is like during that time.
Avengers #1:
(under a cut because this post is getting long and the issue came out last week)
Great start of the run. I really loved the Tony and Carol interaction, and that it reminded us that Tony and Carol are good friends and important to each other. Carol mentioning that Tony is her sponsor is so good. I liked how everyone was portrayed, it's very promising. Carol and her talk about the Avenger's purpose and what they do was amazing. MacKay's insistence that the Avengers are not cops, but people who fight every day to save lives, to save the world, is very welcome.
I also really liked this:
I think that MacKay knows what he's doing, and the voices and characterization of every character felt good to me. I'm excited that Tony is the Executive Officer of the Avengers, the number two. I think that this position is one where Tony has the potential to excel.
The interactions between team members were fun, too. No artificial hostility, a good deal of trust and familiarity, even some joking! I hope that MacKay will continue on this line of "the avengers are more than just co-workers". It's nice to have them be friends, even though there are tensions (between Sam and T'Challa for now). The plot itself seems interesting, but it's too early for me to form an opinion.
Thanks for reading! Have a soft Tony for the road:

I'm really glad you're enjoying the lockwood and co books and series so far!! they're very special books to me and my friends, i remember reading them when i was 16 and absolutely adoring them, they;re just SO GOOD.
one thing i've really enjoyed about the series is the very clear depictions of issues of class and worker's rights, and its one reason i want to reread the books again, because those just went completely over my head as a kid and i want to see how the series and books depictions differ. jonathan stroud had a very close hand in the production of the series so im curious to see how his now 10 year old books and attitudes in them hold up. Anyway, i was curious if that was something that was also as obvious to you as it was to me? my mum's English and i grew up with a kind of baseline understanding of english class struggles (despite the fact that she's from the south and grew up relatively rich) and the attitudes in England surrounding worker's rights and unions and so on, so its always interesting me to see how other people see these issues and how they're presented in media.
for example i absolutely love the casting choices of all the main characters, i think they really perfectly exemplify the struggles portrayed in the books that something as big as The Problem would affect on all working levels, including the class of children which honestly i find is a class of people that goes overlooked a Lot in stories, or at least in the way jonathan stroud does it. Lucy and lockwood are both excellently portrayed i think, and their intrinsic struggles to connect and attitudes are products of their upbringings and backgrounds and i think the series does an excellent job of portraying that (as much as I can say this without revealing spoilers hgjkfdls), with lucy being a northern working class girl from a poor family and lockwood, despite not having a close family, being raised objectively middle class and having relatives who go hunting.
anyway its!!! very good!!! i think the series is a fantastically faithful adaptation of the themes and ideas of the books so far, and also almost every setting looks EXACTLY how i pictured it which makes me absolutely feral hjgfkdsl
but yes idk if this makes much sense but aaahh I'm glad you're enjoying it all!! i really can't wait to see what you think of the second book and the rest of the series!!
also cos im curious: did you read the book before watching the series? and if not, do you think the series holds up as a story in its own right without needing the background of the books to watch it? cos while i think it's a brilliant adaptation I'm wondering how well it plays out as a story on its own without having to read the books first
I'm delighted at how many Lockwood & Co. fans there are, I’d never heard of the books before the Netflix adaptation, but it seems like there’s a bunch of you! It’s lovely to be able to discuss things already even if I’m not sure I’ll have a lot to add just yet, since I’m only on episode 5 of the adaptation and halfway through the first book. (I didn’t want to burn through the episodes too quickly because it’s such a charming series, so I decided to switch back and forth between them and the books, which helps keep my memory fresh of the show when I read the books, so I can take note of the differences. There are some differences, but ones that generally seem like really good ideas for a TV series adaptation, like I already like the tweaking of George’s character and I really loved the Norrie backstory.) I don’t know that I would have clocked the class theme on my own--but I’m not that far into any of it yet, though, I know how the first book turns out, of course--I can’t say that I felt it was necessarily a strong theme in the adaptation in the sense that it was driving the plot, but it is very much there, Lucy’s character is very much that of a working class type of character. And, when you mentioned it, I can pick up on it in the book as well, especially as I’m just getting to the introduction of John Fairfax commissioning the team for a case. I’m also not sure where I’m going to land on the aspect of having children with so much more autonomy given to them, like the scene where Barnes comes by and they’re just totally blase about how he’s trying to tell them to be careful, openly laughing about how worked up he seems after he leaves, just struck me as very “this is a series aimed at young readers so it’s going to have young kids as protagonists, it’s not meant to be taken super seriously as commentary on 15 year olds being allowed to run their own agencies”, but other times the consistency (and Barnes’ comments from the adaptation) of how characters who have faded talent are treated make me think that, once you get a bit outside Lucy’s perspective, that maybe there is something to the idea that there’s commentary on these kids having this tremendous burden placed on them. Right now, the concept of adult supervision seems to be set up as an obstacle to be overcome, that Lockwood & Co. are freedom because they refuse to work with adults, but how much of that is because of course they would think that? Lucy’s whole backstory is that she never had parents who took care of her or were involved in her life, just punished her and used her for her talent, so of course she’d view them that way. Anyway, I’m looking forward to getting further in so that I’m not just half-baking my thoughts on the themes and might actually have stronger views on things! And as long as people avoid spoilers, I would love to hear commentary on what kind of themes to be watching for!
