Sometimes I think the Captain should’ve been way more angry at Peepaw Mark at the diner in part 2.

I mean sure there’s the obvious reasons, the whole trying to kill you, destroying the universe so badly it needed to reboot, sabotaging the ship in the first place-

But doesn’t that mean he staged for the glass in the front of the ship to break when the Captain was awakened from their cryo pod?? Wasn’t he the one that killed YOUR Mark- your universe, your Mark that will never ever be the same Mark again no matter what new universe you’re spawned into?

Sitting in that diner in the booth across from the man that killed my original universe’s Mark…idk I’m just saying the Captain should’ve lunged with their own knife hand for that one

I been consuming drunk fics recently and I think I reached my personal new joy and headcanon that SQQ is an angry punchy but overly affectionate to his people drunk. Tsundere to the max.

There are like 2 fics that blessed me with punchy violent drunk SQQ and two that gave me him being a goober with SQH.

Give me both with zero filters. I want violent SQQ and his “bro we shouldn’t/bro bro we GOTTA” SQH toggles on enabler and responsible drunk for me.

But also learned and adopted that SQH is the type of drunk that will rebuild a car blasted. He makes the wildest contraptions and goes through strange tinker builder plans black out drunk. He is competent and efficient and wakes up hungry over wondering when the fuck he learned quantum physics. Like he is a “I got this”

I want them to be the others enablers. I want SQH to be ride or die if cucumber bro starts a bar fight he is there at his side sighing drunk and lazy but kicking ass. (Thank you Jezebel)

I want SQH to stare at a wall and go “I wanna invent a Xianxia version of a plane” and SQQ to go “that is fucking dumb let’s do it” (thaaank you Jezebel)

I want them to be each other’s friend. I want them to kinda sit there hung over… and kinda just weirdly happy they have a friend that gets them in this life. That they have a friend who is the bane of their existence but can have fun drunk shenanigans neither really got to have in their first life.

Mobei and Binghe not knowing what to do with them. They both are clingy drunks but one is spitting curses and aggressively snuggling like a cat high on catnip- and the other is singing praises and compliments while trying to bury himself in his husband’s robes.

But THIS FIC SERIES really had me rolling bc like- 2 twenty first century guys who are use to shorts and tee shirts forgetting after the third drink that- it is not 100% proper. They are aware enough to be these future boys behind closed doors- but to them hitting each other with paint in shorts is just guys being guys. To their royal husbands and everyone else in this ancient world????

Also SQQ in gym shorts and a tee shirt is my new favorite thing. This is the cutest I have drawn SQH- I had fun

Flint's sailing choices are 10x sexier if you have spent even a little bit of time working on a historic boat of any kind like i worked on a Very Easy To Sail 1920s schooner and trying to pull any of his maneuvers in that would have been far beyond any of the crew or our captain LET ALONE on an old square-rigger which is 10000000x more difficult to pilot and he is THROWING her into the wind HEAVING on the wheel it took literally dozens of people to raise our mainsails IN THE HARBOR and he is putting the t'gallants up at TOP SPEED while his other sails are NOT MADE OFF insane man

I've honestly thought of this for so long. You CANNOT TELL ME that Spy doesn't have daddy issues. He abandoned Scout since birth, continued to ignore his existence and still acted like an ass when he become his co-worker. The only time Spy was a father to Scout was during Expiration Date and the 7th comic where he says he's proud of him, but both those times happened WHEN SPY THOUGHT SCOUT WAS DYING.

This man is terrified of being a father, and I think it's because he has some horrible trauma from his own dad. Spy probably had some rough times from his own dad that made him scared of becoming the same person as him, so he chose to be distant, only changing his attitude when the circumstances were extreme. Him being a spy just adds to keeping this distance, since no one really expects him to be open and he can keep it that way. Well except when it comes to, in this case, Engineer. Because daddy issues, and genuine feelings, but also daddy issues.

Thankfully Scout will break this cycle of generational trauma, not because he would be a great dad at some point in his life, but because he'll die a virgin
