For many, the day doesn’t begin without that first sip of coffee—a ritual so ingrained it’s almost synonymous with morning itself. But as interest in health and wellness grows, caffeine alternatives offering a different pick-me-up are gaining traction. From the ancient ritual of matcha to the probiotic benefits of kombucha, a range of options promises to energize your morning without the usual coffee jitters. Here’s what you need to know.
Mushroom Coffee ☕
Mushroom coffee is emerging as an energy-boosting alternative to your regular cup of joe, says Jessica Gavin, a food scientist and author of Easy Culinary Science for Better Cooking.
This morning blend combines ground coffee beans with adaptogenic mushrooms like chaga, reishi, lion’s mane, and cordyceps. Unlike their psychedelic counterparts, these mushrooms won’t alter your mind, but they can help the body adapt to stress, improve immune function, and maintain steady focus, says Gavin. Adding mushrooms to your beverage also provides antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals such as potassium, selenium, and B vitamins.
According to Gavin, most mushroom coffee products use less caffeine—about 48 to 50 milligrams—compared to an eight-ounce cup of coffee which contains 80 to 100 milligrams of caffeine.
“Because mushroom coffee does not have the same taxing load on your central nervous system, one could reasonably assume it’s a better alternative than a cup of coffee or green tea,” says Yaa Boakye, a registered dietitian nutritionist and owner of Elite Body Data.
However, mushrooms like chaga can contain high levels of oxalates, which may increase the risk of kidney stones if consumed in excess.
Matcha Green Tea đŸ”
Matcha, a potent form of green tea, delivers more than just a caffeine kick. With around 70 milligrams of caffeine per serving—more than the 50 milligrams in black tea—this herbal brew offers sustained energy without the jitters. According to Gavin, matcha’s unique combination of caffeine and antioxidants boosts brain energy while promoting relaxation, thanks to the amino acid L-theanine, which is known to reduce stress and protect against neuronal injury.
Yerba Mate 🧉
Containing roughly as much caffeine as coffee, South America’s super brew, yerba mate, packs more antioxidants than any other tea-based drink. Made from the leaves of holly trees native to the region, yerba mate offers a steady caffeine release, providing sustained energy without the jitters. According to Boakye, this tea is also rich in polyphenols, vitamins, and minerals not typically found in traditional caffeinated beverages.
Research shows that yerba mate can boost mental alertness and enhance physical performance. Additional benefits include antimicrobial properties, support for weight loss, and the potential to lower blood sugar, reduce cholesterol, and combat chronic inflammation.
Yaupon Tea đŸ«–
Yaupon tea, brewed from the leaves of the yaupon holly—the only caffeinated plant native to the United States—offers a mild yet energizing boost. Bryan Quoc Le, a food scientist and author of 150 Food Science Questions Answered, says that yaupon tea contains 0.1 to 2 percent caffeine, less than coffee’s 1 to 3 percent. However, it’s not just about caffeine; yaupon tea is rich in xanthines, including theobromine, which enhances mood and alertness without the jitters.
Kombucha 🧋
Kombucha, a fermented tea, is celebrated for its gut health benefits and mild stimulant effects. According to Le, kombucha retains some of the tea’s bioactive compounds, including 3 to 6 percent caffeine, depending on how it’s brewed. But the real star is its probiotics—beneficial microorganisms that nourish the gut’s “good” bacteria. A healthy gut microbiome is linked to improved cognitive functions like attention, memory, and learning. Additionally, kombucha is rich in B vitamins, which Boakye says help the body metabolize nutrients into cellular fuel.
Guarana ☕
Guarana stands out for its impressive caffeine content, with berries containing 2 to 8 percent caffeine—far exceeding the 1 to 3 percent in coffee beans. In addition to caffeine, guarana is rich in stimulating compounds like theophylline and theobromine, which, according to Gavin, boost cognitive performance, reduce fatigue, and increase alertness. It also boasts antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
Often found in energy drinks with doses ranging from 50 to 75 milligrams, guarana can also be added as a powder to smoothies or other beverages. However, Boakye cautions against excessive consumption to avoid caffeine crashes and jitteriness, noting that the FDA recommends a daily limit of 400 milligrams of caffeine.
“If someone is about to sit and do some office work, [guarana] is probably not a good idea,” says Boakye. “But if you’re about to go and do a workout or an intense boot camp, [it] might be helpful since it provides that quick burst of energy.”
Turmeric LattesđŸ„€
For a caffeine-free morning boost, turmeric lattes, known as golden milk, deliver powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. Made with turmeric and curcumin, this golden drink can be enhanced with a touch of coconut oil and black pepper, which improve curcumin absorption, says Gavin. Ginger, another key ingredient, aids digestion and adds a spicy kick.
“I prefer it in the morning because the combination of ingredients has a way of stimulating you,” says Gavin. She says the sensation of the gingery spices, pepper, and warm cinnamon on your tongue helps wake up the senses differently than caffeine.

The cracking sound of the campfire travels softly in the center of camp, casting long, flickering shadows that stretch and shift over the familiar faces of the gang, dancing on their features to the sound of the soft music leaving Javier’s guitar.
It had been a rare, uneventful day—the kind where, surprisingly, nothing went wrong, and the world seemed to hold its breath afraid to burst the serene and quiet bubble that engulfed all round the camp. The stillness settled over the gang’s members like a balm, soothing old wounds and lifting everyone’s spirits. By evening, an easy carefree air had taken root, boosted by a few shared drinks and Javier’s guitar.
You sit near the fire, sandwiched between Karen and John, the blonde slouched lazily at your side, her cheeks flushed from the too many whiskey glasses she downed. Javier is in a contagious good mood, sitting on the ground near John strumming another lively tune as he leans toward you, his bronze skin glowing in the campfire’s light and he’s grinning like at you like the charmer he is.
“Why don’t you sing with me, cariño,” he says, his voice playfully teasing. A chorus of groans and exaggerated complaints come from around the campfire, the gang all too eager to tease you about the first and fortunately the last time you sang around the campfire in Horseshoe Overlook after you had too many to drink. You remember waking up the morning after with a terrible headache and the sweet memory of laughter shared around the warmth of the campfire.
You laugh at their reaction, shaking your head. “I think I’ll save everyone’s ears this time, thank you.”
Javier chuckles and with that resumes playing, his voice low and smooth. His energy is infectious, pulling easy smiles and a few soft laughs from everyone. But in the back of your mind, you can feel that there’s a subtle shift in the air—a pull, a presence that tugs at your attention like a ping you can’t ignore. It’s faint at first, almost imperceptible, but it grows stronger, undeniable, familiar. You glance toward the edge of camp, and as suspected there he is.
He’s leaning against one of the wooden posts near the horses, half swallowed by the shadows, the dim firelight barely reaching the brim of his worn hat. His broad shoulders are hunched, arms crossed tightly over his chest like he’s trying to protect himself, to keep something away though you’re not sure he even knows what it is. His aqua eyes are sharp even in the shadows, and they’re fixed directly on you.
As the weight of his gaze settles over you like a heavy fog, thick and tangible, despite the distance between you, a shiver runs down your spine. Your chest tightens, as if the very air around him has thickened with unspoken things.
You’ve known him long enough to feel a quiet storm building in the depths of his quiet, unshakable composure. It’s not indifference nor anger. It’s something else—something raw and unspoken but you can’t, and maybe won’t, put a name on it.
When Javier nudges you playfully, you force yourself to focus back on him, offering him a smile that you hope conceals the tension swirling inside of you. Still, the weight of Arthur’s gaze doesn’t leave you, not even as the evening stretches on.
As the night deepens, the fire crackles low. One by one, people begin to drift off, leaving just you, Tilly, Lenny, Javier, and Karen around the fire. Tilly, who had joined your little circle a few hours earlier, is lively chatting with Lenny about some gossip she’d overheard in town, her voice bright with excitement seemingly unphased by the late hour. Meanwhile, Karen has fallen asleep with her head resting on your shoulder, undoubtedly drooling a bit on your blouse. This leaves you and Javier alone, the conversation between you two flowing easily, until he eventually sets his guitar aside with a stretch, breaking the comfortable atmosphere.
“Already going to bed ?” you tease, nudging him gently on the side. “Won’t you play me another song before you go to sleep ?”
He smirks, shaking his head with a wink.
“Tomorrow.” He promises winking at you. He stands up and disappears into the shadows of the night. After a few minutes Karen stirs awake, mumbling something about needing another drink before bed, lazily getting up on her feet, shuffling toward the camp’s supply.
After that it’s just you, Tilly and Lenny sitting near the dying fire. From your peripheral vision you can see the dark silhouette of Arthur sitting at the worn wooden round table under the tall tree in camp. You don’t look at him, not directly, but you feel his presence like a thread pulling between you. You sit there, looking at the fire contemplating if approaching him or calling it a night.
When you finally stand, your feet move before your mind can catch up with your actions. You carefully walk towards him, finding him hunched slightly over the table, his broad shoulders tense as he stares down into the nearly empty glass in his hand.
“Mind if I join you ?” you say pausing a few feet away. The sound of your voice softly filling the cold air around you both.
Arthur doesn’t immediately look up, his focus still fixed on the amber liquid swirling in his glass. You nearly contemplate leaving when after a long moment, he tips his head in a slow, deliberate nod. “Suit yourself.”
You take a seat across from him, your hands folding in your lap playing with a few loose threads as you settle into the quiet. For a long moment, neither of you speak. The noise of the evening has faded away, leaving the camp wrapped in the soft rustle of trees and the distant sound of crickets.
“Tired ?” you finally ask, your voice hesitant, breaking the silence.
Arthur huffs a low breath, his eyes never leaving the glass. “Long day,” he mutters, a simple response that tells you nothing.
You nod, though his answer feels like a wall, a quick, easy way to avoid revealing something deeper. There’s something bothering him, and maybe it’s the alcohol in your system or maybe you simply care too much for him but you’re determined to find out what.
“Javier kept everyone entertained tonight,” you say lightly, your words casual, trying to spark a conversation, though you’re watching him closely.
Arthur’s grip on his glass tightens just enough for his knuckles to go pale against the clear glass. “Yeah,” he replies, his tone flat. “He’s good at that.”
The space between you feels heavier now, filled with something unspoken, a tension that neither of you acknowledges directly. You lean back in your chair, letting the silence settle between you, but you can’t ignore the flicker of his eyes as they meet yours, then quickly shift away like he’s afraid of what might show if he stares at yours too long.
“What’re you drinking ?” you ask after a moment, breaking the quiet.
“Whiskey.”
“‘S that the good whiskey Pearson’s been hiding, or the usual watered down crap ?”
Arthur’s lips twitch, almost imperceptibly, clearly fighting a smile. “Usual crap,” he murmurs. “Pearson ain’t that generous.”
You laugh softly, the sound easing some of the tension that’s built between you. But still, it lingers, just beneath the surface, like something you both know but can’t put into words.
“You seemed quiet tonight,” you say after a pause, studying him closely.
Arthur shrugs, lifting his glass to his lips, the movement slow, as if every motion is carefully measured.
“Didn’t feel like talkin’.”
You watch him, your gaze tracing the line of his jaw, his wet lips and the way his fingers absently trace the rim of his glass. He’s not being completely honest—that much you know, but you’ve learned to read between the spaces of his words.
“Or maybe you just didn’t like the company,” you offer, your tone playful but with an edge to it.
Arthur’s eyes snap to yours, sharp and unmoving. “I didn’t say that,” he replies, his voice low, almost a growl.
He holds your gaze a beat longer than necessary, and you feel the weight of it settle deep in your chest, making your breath hitch. There’s something in his eyes, something raw, vulnerable that makes your heart stutter. You’re not sure if he sees how your composure falters, but he’s the first to look away, tipping his hat lower over his brow to shield his expression.
You’ve always hated when he does that—you’ve always hated the way he uses it to put a distance between you, but now more than ever you hate it because it feels like the wall between you is growing thicker and you’re not sure if you can get through anymore.
“You’re a hard man to figure out Arthur Morgan,” you say softly, the teasing edge gone from your voice. He doesn’t answer right away, and when he does, it’s in a voice barely above a whisper.
“Maybe that’s for the best.”
You bite your lower lip in frustration but then you force yourself to swallow down your disappointment. The conversation shifts then, moving toward more trivial things like the weather, the horses, Pearson’s latest disaster with the stew. But even as you talk, you know that there’s another conversation happening in the spaces between words, in the glances you exchange, in both your body language, in the way the silence sometimes wraps itself around you both.
You don’t speak of it. You don’t name it. Neither of you can, but you know it’s there.
“Good night Arthur,” you say, your voice quieter than you intended. You give him a sweet smile, one that doesn’t quite reach your eyes, before you stand, the weight of your own tiredness forcing you to seek the sweet embrace of your bed.
He doesn’t reply right away, just gives a slow tip of his hat. “Night.”
As you start to take a few steps away from the table, you feel his gaze on your back—steady, unwavering. It feels like it’s burning into your skin.
You glance over your shoulder, just once, and meet his eyes. For a moment, they’re distant, almost lost, like he’s somewhere far away in thought. But as your gaze lingers, you catch something else, something in the way his eyes soften, the barely perceptible softening of his eyebrows. It’s not a look of anger or frustration that he gives you, no, he’s looking at you with something deeper, something raw.
It’s the kind of look that makes your chest tighten, a sweet warmth settling between your ribs. He doesn’t need to say anything, you can feel it in the glance between you—the weight of all the things neither of you will dare to speak aloud.

It was an important game at Santiago Bernabeu, with Real Madrid facing one of its biggest rivals. Jude Bellingham was focussed, as always, but he didn't imagine that that night had a surprise he would never forget.
You had planned everything in secret. With Nala already completing seven months, you decided it was time to take her to the stadium for the first time. In addition, did you know that Jude would be thrilled to see the little one wearing the team's official shirt, personalised with the name "Bellingham" and the number 5 - the same as her father.
You arrived at the stadium with Nala in your arms, wearing a warm coat over the mini shirt. You went straight to the area reserved for the players' families, being welcomed by the WAGs, who were already looking forward to meeting the Bellingham's' daughter up close.
-You finally brought her, Y/n! -Joked one of the players' wives. -Jude will go crazy when he sees you here.
You smiled, adjusting your daughter's cute hat, which matched perfectly with the baby's look.
-He has no idea. I thought it was time to give dad a boost on the field.
Nala, unaware of the commotion around him, looked curiously at everything. The loud sounds, the lights and the energy of the stadium left her enchanted.
While the players were warming up on the lawn, you decided to go down a little to the area closest to the field, still in the reserved part, so that Jude could see it. Some teammates realised it first.
-Wait a minute... is it Nala?
Said Camavinga, pointing to the side.
Rodrygo, who was next to him, laughed.
-I can't believe it! Jude will have an attack when he realises.
And it didn't take long for your fiancé to look in the direction in which the companions were pointing. He stopped in the middle of the field, his eyes wide, and a gigantic smile took over his face. He waved excitedly, as if he wanted to make sure it was real.
You answered with a small nod, lifting Nala on your lap. The baby, as if understanding what was happening, gave an adorable giggle and babbled something indecipherable, making Jude smile even more.
-My daughter is here!
Jude exclaimed to his colleagues, visibly moved.
At halftime from the game, the boy went straight to where you were. He didn't even bother to take his eyes off his daughter, who was now more desperate and kept watching everything around her.
-You two killed me from the heart today. -He said, taking the baby in his arms. -Look at this shirt! 'Bellingham 5'... My girl is all stylish."
Nala grabbed her father's face with her little hands, making everyone around her sigh with tenderness.
-It's getting strong, huh?
Jude commented, kissing his daughter's cheek.
Some teammates approached, curious to meet the famous little girl. VinĂ­cius was the first to joke.
-She already looks like a player, huh, Jude? It will be faster than you.
Rodrygo laughed, watching Nala grab Jude's finger tightly.
-Look at this! She's already practising the grip to hold the ball.
You laughed while watching the scene.
-Be careful, guys. Nala may end up becoming the team's official mascot.
After a few minutes, Jude had to go back to the field, but not without first kissing you and the little girl again. He was visibly more excited and inspired. Commentators and fans didn't take long to realise that something special was happening - Bellingham seemed more focussed and determined than ever.
The camera even captured a moment when he looked at the stands and smiled, discreetly waving to you. This, of course, left fans emotional on social networks, with many commenting: Baby Bellingham is already officially Real Madrid's biggest lucky amulet!
When the game ended with a spectacular victory, Jude ran straight to you again. He held his daughter in his arms and lifted him up, as if introducing the little one to the crowd, who went crazy.
Already in the car, Nala fell asleep on his lap, exhausted after so much news. You looked at Jude through the rearview mirror and smiled.
-Today was the best game of my life, you know?
He said, intertwining his fingers with yours.
-Of course it was. You had our amulet there with you.
You answered with a smile.
Jude laughed softly.
-Now that she came once, she will always have to come.
You pretended to sigh.
-It's good, Bellingham. I think we can turn Nala into Madrid's number one fan.
And so, your little daughter's first trip to the stadium went down in history as one of the most special days for Jude - and, of course, for the fans who couldn't stand so much cuteness anymore.

Shadow’s shoes were left unattended by the front door. What psychopath would wear shoes around the house and track dirt?
A short while ago, Shadow excused himself to go to the bathroom. Ever since you two met, you’ve always wanted to try them on. The golden opportunity has finally presented itself.
You plucked them from their spot and proceeded to put them on in the back yard. They were heavy and it’s no wonder why his kicks packed a punch even while not rocket boosted. It took a bit of conscious effort to lift your feet off the ground.
How did he manage to hover in place? On the outside and in, the shoes had a fairly simple and smooth design. No bottons, slides, nothing. Not that you’ve ever seen him do anything in particular to activate them.
Moving to one end of the yard, you break into a sprint. With a little speed it might turn on. It felt as if someone had duck taped 5 pound weights to your feet.
The back door opens with a call of your name. “What are you—,” Shadow was about to ask before being interrupted by a screech combined with rough tumbling into your patio table. In no time at all, bare feet patter against the warm concrete.
Some dirt mixed with blood cakes your palms and knees. With a loud guttural groan, you rolled yourself over to sit on your butt. In front of you, Shadow is knelt down on one knee. His brows knitted together in concern.
The voice that wanted to scold you for your clumsiness is shoved far into the back of his mind. Instead he tenderly takes your hands and brings it closer to his face, inspecting the damage.
A kiss is pressed to your knuckles. “Are you alright? What in the world were you doing?,” he asks, not a speck of anger laced in his words.
“I uhh.. wanted to try out your shoes? I don’t get it. How do they turn on? You usually just start running.

After sitting you down on the toilet seat, he begins to clean the scrapes with a wet towel. Straight to work. Not a single word has been uttered since walking back inside the house. His lips pressed tight, you’re sure Shadow is clenching his jaw.
Guilt of worrying him and possibly damaging his shoes settle in. A mumbled, “I’m sorry” causes Shadow’s ear to flick.
Devoid of emotion he immediately replies, “Next time you want to use my stuff as playthings, ask first.”
His eyes are lasered in at the task at hand. Thankfully, once the blood has been cleaned up, your scrapes don’t look as bad. Nothing a giant bandage can’t fix.
With the final bandage literally slapped on the palm of your hand, he announces ‘done’. Shadow starts to pack up the medical supplies, well aware you’re pouting at him.
“That hurt!”
“Of course it did. That is what happens when you’re not careful,” he deadpans, knowing you had meant the little ‘slap’.
This guy! You’re already in pain and he adds on to it. “Shadow, you put it on wrong. Look, it’s crooked and peeking out.”
Before he puts the kit away, he pulls out one extra bandaid and slips it aside. “Did I?,” Shadow glances at it, “It looks fine to me.”
“No it’s not. Fix it!” You shove your poor aching hand into his face.
Shadow yanks it out of his face. “Alright. Fine.” The old bandage chucked into the trash and the new one replaces its spot with less roughness. He holds your wrist in place while he presses his lips to the bandage. “Is that better?”
“
Yes.”
“Good. I just want to make sure: does anywhere else hurt?”
“Well, I think I busted up my lips earlier too.”
A chuckle escapes him. Smiling, shaking his head, Shadow replies, “I was hoping you would address your limp
” His hand cups your cheek, thumb stroking your bottom lip. “But I don’t mind taking care of this first.”

When you heard the final whistle of the Euro final, you ran straight to Lucy. “Watch this!” Ella said loudly. “Tooney, you’re shouting.” You laughed but watched her anyway. She raised her cup in the air and attempted a pirouette, with the focus on attempted. As she spun around she lost her balance, nearly tipping over. While Alessia reached to catch Ella, your hand had reached out to save her cup instead. 
“Good to know that alcohol is more important than my life.” Ella said once she was done laughing. “Always so dramatic.” You say as you cheers both cups together and chuck the contents of her cup first. 
Ella rolls her eyes as she sees her drink disappear. “Don’t worry Tooney, I’ll get you a new one.” The pair laugh as you pat Ella on the head and walk off to the bar.
On the way to the bar, you bump into Leah. She puts her arm around your shoulder, “Oh captain, my captain.” You say dramatically as you wrap your arm around her waist. Leah chuckles, “Oh you’re so drunk.”
“Pfft, I’m fine.” You try convincing her, but you stumble over your own feet at the same time. “Sure looks like it.” She jokes back, while helping you steady yourself. 
You order another round of drinks for you, Ella, Alessia, and Leah before continuing your conversation with Leha. “Fine enough to save Tooney’s drink from spilling all over her.” You say matter of factly, like you were the hero of the story and not Alessia, whose first instinct was to save her friend.
“So noble of you.” Leah chuckles. “I do what I must for my team.” With a shake of her head, she reaches for two of the drinks that the bartender set down. While you took the other two, Leah watched you intensely. You looked at her questioningly and asked her what was going on.
“You and Lucy?” She says with a glint in her eyes. Your heart skips a beat, and you could feel your cheeks heating up. “Me and Lucy what?” You ask as if you don’t know what she’s talking about.
Leah gives you a knowing look. “Come on. You sprinted across the pitch for her. Practically leapt into her arms. I’m not blind.”
“Are you sure you’re not blind?” Was the only comeback you could think of, and you regretted saying it instantly. That answer was not giving Leah any reason to believe that the two of you weren’t seeing each other.
“She was just the first person I saw.” Leah raises her eyebrow. Clearly not convinced that that was the truth. “Sure she was.”
“We should get moving because Tooney will start a riot if I won’t get her a drink.” Leah was fine with you moving the conversation along, she knew enough by your reaction. “Wait, I thought you saved her drink?”
You smile cheekily, and proudly say, “I did save it. Then I chugged it right in front of her.” Leah laughed at your actions, it was such a you move. Before Leah could respond, Tooney loudly greeted you. “My hero!” You looked over to Leah, “See?”
The four of you swayed to the music, having the time of your lifes. Then out of nowhere, you felt a pair of hands wrap around your waist. You instantly knew who it was, and let yourself relax into her hold.

You didn't know what time you all headed back, all you knew was that Lucy was guiding you back towards your hotel room, because you were too far gone to tell left from right. Once you got into your room, Lucy followed you in and sat you down on your bed. She filled a cup with water and told you to drink up, before rummaging through your bag to find some painkillers. 
She found some and told you to take some. You gratefully took them with another sip of water. “Thank you for taking care of me.” You told her, while trying to hold yourself up. “I love you.” 
Lucy’s eyes widened, you hadn’t said those three words to each other before. A lot of emotions went through Lucy’s head, but ultimately she decided that you were too drunk to realise what you were saying. "Tell me when you're sober." She said in response. 
Your girlfriend excused herself to use the bathroom, and when she got back, you were sound asleep. She didn’t want to leave you in this state, so she texted her roommate that she’d be staying in your room instead. 
After putting her phone away, she laid down next to you. It took a long time for her to fall asleep though. Her mind kept going over the words that you had spoken, trying to analyse everything she could to try and figure out if you had meant it.
The next morning was a bit of a blur as you were rushing to get ready for the celebratory events that were planned for the day. Everyone showed up with their sunglasses, hoping to filter out the bright lights. You looked like a funny bunch, but despite all being hungover, you still had the time of your life.
On top of the open-top bus, you were waving at the thousands of fans that had flooded the street. It was incredible to see how much the support had grown over the tournament, and having this many people celebrating you after the win.
You felt Lucy’s eyes on you, when you looked over, you smiled at her. Her eyes looked at you expectantly, as if she was waiting for you to tell her something. Something she was afraid to ask you about, because she didn’t want to bring it up if you didn’t remember the words you shared while drunk.
With a smile you lean into her side, so only she would hear you. "Don't worry, I didn't forget. But you told me to tell you when I was sober, and I am definitely not sober yet." Lucy smiled and felt her heart start beating fast.
It wasn’t until the next morning that you deemed yourself no longer drunk. You headed to Lucy’s place with a bouquet of flowers. Once she opened the door, you smiled brightly. “Hi, I love you.” 
“I love you too.” Lucy said as she pulled you in for a hug.

your brain is the most powerful tool you will ever own. YOUR BRAIN IS MORE POWERFUL THAN UR PHONE, LAPTOP ... . Yet how many of us actually take care of it? How many of us think twice about what we feed it, how we use it, or how we let it rest? u don’t rise to the level of your dreams you fall to the level of your mind. And if your mind isn’t sharp, disciplined, and protected, you’re setting yourself up for failure.
✒..You’re probably wondering: “What does it mean to take care of my brain?” It’s simple but not easy. First, let’s talk about what you’re consuming EEEEVRY single thing you watch, listen to or read is planting seeds in your mind. Are you planting weeds or flowers? Scroll endlessly on social media, filling your brain with nonsense, comparison, and negativity—guess what? You’re planting weeds, and they will grow. Your thoughts become your beliefs, and your beliefs become your actions.
THE TRUTH IS you are what you allow into your mind. If you keep surrounding yourself with negativity, if you keep replaying the same self-doubt, if you keep absorbing content that doesn’t serve you don’t be surprised when you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or anxious. You’re not broken you’re just fueling yourself with the wrong things.
"So, what do you do?"
1. Detox your mind. Cut out the noise. Start filtering what you consume. Unfollow accounts that drain your energy. Stop watching content that makes you feel small. And for the love of everything pookie stop engaging in drama—it’s not worth the space it takes up in your head.
2. Feed your brain the right fuel. Read books that challenge you. Listen to podcasts that inspire you. Surround yourself with people who uplift you. And no, this isn’t just some feel-good advice it’s about wiring ur brain for growth. The more you surround yourself with knowledge, positivity, and action-oriented energy, the more your brain starts working for you instead of against you.
3. Train your focus. Your brain is a muscle. If you don’t train it, it gets lazy. Meditation isn’t just for monks it’s for anyone who wants to build laser-like focus. Start small—two minutes a day. Sit down, breathe, and let your mind rest. Because a rested brain is a powerful brain.
4. Protect your energy it mean it’s about who you let into your space. People can either fuel your fire or extinguish it. If someone in your life constantly drags you down, you need to set boundaries. Your mental energy is sacred. Guard it fiercely.

IDW Prowl x Reader
‱ Why are you like this? For some reason he can’t understand, you’ve taken it into your little mind to deliberately try to antagonize him or provoke him. It makes him almost miss the days when you just ignored him or sulked in a corner. Freezing when you decide that you absolutely need to sprawl across the back of his hand on your belly so you can draw crude, inappropriate little pictures on his report to Optimus. “Find somewhere else to be,” he growls, tipping his hand to dump you off. Aware of the slide of your little, warm body against him as you straighten and glare up at him.
‱ Whatever that was between you had been electric, scandalous and exciting. And your personal enemy is now going out of his way to not touch you ever since. Actually trying to avoid you like he hadn’t been the one to get handsy and pin you down. Like your current frustration isn’t entirely his fault. Blowing out a breath from your spot where he’d dumped you, there’s no figuring him out. What you do know? Something has to give. Ever since realizing big and unpleasant can get closer to your size and that he might just have a freaky side? That’s the only place your brain wants to go. “Oh, I’m sorry. Did I kidnap you and ruin your life?”
‱ Door wings lifting stiffly, he glares as you stand up and lean a hip against his knuckles, insisting on touching him again. Arms crossed while you raise your eyebrows at him in challenge. He knows you’re baiting him, but he still grits his denta. “You ran out in front of me, remember?” He growls, struggling with that smug look on your face that makes him itch to do something about it. Remembering shocking you speechless when he pinned you for all of a handful of seconds before you got even angrier. Remembers exactly what that had done to him.
‱ “You’re a cop car. How was I supposed to know you’re too stupid to understand how crosswalks work?” The data pad in his big servos cracks. And then he’s shoving up from his desk so fast his chair turns over. Glaring down at you like he’s considering squishing you like a bug. Fingers digging into your upper arms to hide the faint, nervous tremble, you smile sweetly. “Oh, did I find a nerve?”
‱ You’re trying to provoke him. Even knowing that, he’s still lunging. Mass shifting again even though he feels the drain to his reserves from the massive expenditure of energy too soon after the last and knows he’s going to pay for it later. For now there’s your satisfying little yelp as he catches you by the arm and yanks you into him, his other arm cupping the back of your head when you try to rear back. There’s that anger that twists in his spark. “Not nearly so bold now,” he growls, lip curling as you actually bare your little teeth at him and he remembers that startling lick of pain when you’d bit him.
‱ Big hands on you, pinning you to him as the jerk smirks. But he’s your size again or closer to it anyway. Tugging against his grip just to feel his servos tighten against you, because you like it even if you’ll never be able to admit it out loud. “You think?” You ask him and he leans closer like he’s daring you to try and bite him again. And it’s tempting, but using the brush guard on his chassis to boost yourself, you lunge, mouth crashing against his in anger and frustration and need all twisted together.
