Abby! For the kiss prompts, could I request #9 (in public) with Bob and Teacher!Reader? 🍎 Very self-indulgent on my part 😂
- @bradshawsbaby 💕
But that's the joy of fanfic! We get to be self-indulgent!
Tumblr media
"Mrs. Floyd? You're needed in the front office."
After hanging up the phone, you let out a sigh, looking at your lunch longingly.
This would happen during your lunch period, one of the few chances where you get time to yourself. No meetings, no kids, no questioning or yelling.
You loved your job. You weren't sure what else you'd want to do other than teaching. But the last few weeks had been seemingly endless and mentally draining.
It didn't help that your husband was gone.
By now, you should be a pro when it comes to Bob being deployed.
In a way, you were much better now at the beginning, had found enough projects and hobbies to occupy you, to keep your brain busy and far away from the fact your husband was somewhere halfway across the world.
But after a month, the loneliness and anxiety would seep in. Bob was out there, risking his life instead of being at home with you. Waking up alone to half of an empty bed instead of with him. His return always uncertain.
It made the long, particularly draining days of teaching much harder. Instead of being embraced by your husband's strong arms, you opened the door to an empty house.
Maybe things would be easier if you had a set return date. But even Bob wasn't sure of that.
So with a deep sigh, you put your lunch back in your bag, accepting it'll most likely go uneaten. The trek upstairs to the main office felt longer than usual, your feet feeling heavy with each step.
But instead of your useless principal or an irate parent waiting in the main office, you were met with a man who had eyes bluer than the ocean and a smile sweeter than honey.
"Bobby!"
No longer caring where you were, you threw your arms around your husband, kissing him for the first time in months.
"Hey darlin," Bob smiled into the kiss, also feeling relieved to have you back in his arms.
"What are you doing here?"
"Wanted to see my wife now that I'm back." His cheeks were flushed with a rosy hue that always managed to tug on your heartstrings.
"Couldn't wait until I was home?" You teased, not that you were complaining.
"And not spend time with you?"
Your eyebrows knit together in confusion, Bob knew you had to work, he was literally at your school-
"Your team arranged a sub for you. They made sub plans and everything. Just need to get your bag and we're good to leave," Bob revealed.
Your heart soared at the news, pulling him into another hug.
You were so happy, you nearly forgot that the main office was right by the cafeteria.
"Who is Mrs. Floyd kissing?"
"That's not Mrs. Floyd!"
"Yes it is!"
"She kissed him!"
"Is that Mr. Floyd?"
"That's not Mr. Floyd."
"Yes it is Liam!"
"I think we've been discovered," Bob whispered, unable to hide his smile as your students peered through the window.

SY he's transmigrated into his heavenly demon sona. As in his original concept (not fanfic!!! He wasn't one of those!) he woke up due to the sprouting of the Thousand Year Thistle (it would bloom in chapter 546 just as LBH discovered the clearing that house it) because it was planted just above the buried palace in which he was hibernating.
Once his palace had been deep in a river valley because he was water-attuned to complement LBH's inherent fire. However long ago wars in the demon realm changed the course of the river and rather than get involved SY instead slept to await the thistle blooming which his divination showed to be the sign of the coming of the greatest demonic emperor.
And SY was so ready to take over MBJ 's place as LBH's right hand man. He was actually going to care about him and he'll steer him away from his more annoying love interests and save him from many horrors and indignities of the plot!
Step one, of course, was to find the protagonist. Information gathering wasn't too, too hard. Since he designed this character as a MBJ replacement he had the ability to use any body of water like a wormhole.
He could touch the water at the edge of a beach and cross an entire ocean! But it mostly meant navigating through underground water systems until he arrived in the area he wanted. Thankfully he wasn't corporeal during the process since he sometimes had to traverse sewage systems. Eugh.
But eventually he realizes the protagonist is one year into his stint in the endless abyss. At first, he hesitates, after all, LBH desperately needed the power ups after SQQ's "education" but eventually he reasons that LBH can level up without fighting for his life and almost dying.
So he packs up a few plot devices, lots of food and drops in on his new best friend!

If you do Narnia fics, can you do one about Edmund Pevensie with !enemy reader? Ty <3
A/N: I just want to say thank you so much for the request! You are my second one and I really hope you enjoy this. This is a oneshot fanfic but if you want me to do a series for this prompt, I will do it just for you!
{~Between Shadows and Steel~}
Tumblr media
Summary: In the midst of a fierce battle, you confront your sworn enemy, Edmund Pevensie, determined to end the war between your people and Narnia. But as your swords clash, Edmund’s unexpected words and actions challenge everything you thought you knew about him—and yourself. With the chaos of war surrounding you, a moment of vulnerability leads to an undeniable connection, forcing you to question whether you’re truly enemies or something more.
Characters: Edmund Pevensie
Pairing: Edmund x GN!Reader
Warnings: None
Word Count: 1178
Tumblr media
The battlefield stretched out before you like an endless ocean of chaos. Warriors clashed with brutal force, their weapons ringing in the air, the ground beneath them soaked in the blood of the fallen. The cries of the wounded mingled with the roar of battle, and somewhere in the distance, you could hear the chilling shriek of a centaur as it fell to a barrage of arrows.
You stood on the edge of the fray, your chest heaving, sword in hand, watching as the skirmish raged on. In the midst of the melee, a single figure caught your eye. He moved like the wind—swift, agile, and utterly determined.
Edmund Pevensie.
The Just King of Narnia. And your enemy.
To you, he represented everything you’d fought against for years. Narnia’s expansion had forced your people into a corner, and you had sworn to resist. To fight until there was nothing left. But as you watched him now, cutting through your soldiers with practiced precision, doubt flickered in the depths of your mind.
You hated him—or so you told yourself. Yet, every time you crossed paths with Edmund, it felt as though there was something more beneath the surface. Something that made your heart pound in ways you couldn’t explain.
You gripped your sword tightly, the leather of the hilt biting into your palm as you steeled yourself. Today, you would confront him. Today, you would end this, one way or another.
With a deep breath, you charged toward him, weaving through the chaos, your eyes fixed on his form. Your footsteps were light but swift, your sword slicing through any obstacle in your path. The moment you reached him, you swung your blade, aiming for his unguarded back.
But Edmund moved faster than you anticipated. As if sensing your presence, he spun around, his sword meeting yours with a resounding clang. Your eyes locked, and for a moment, time seemed to stop.
“You again,” he muttered, his voice strained with exertion, but not without a hint of recognition.
“Don’t act so surprised,” you shot back, pushing against his blade with all your strength.
He smirked, his eyes gleaming with something that was neither fear nor anger, but something you couldn’t quite place. “I’m not. I just didn’t expect it to be this soon.”
You narrowed your eyes. “Then you should’ve been ready for me.”
The two of you danced across the battlefield, swords clashing with each strike, the sound echoing in the din of war. He was a skilled fighter, and you found yourself struggling to keep up with his speed. But you refused to back down. You had trained for this moment—prepared yourself for the inevitable confrontation.
Yet, as you fought, there was something different about this battle. Each time your swords connected, there was a spark in the air—an electricity you couldn’t ignore. Every time you stepped closer to him, it felt like the world was closing in, leaving only the two of you in its wake.
“You don’t have to do this,” Edmund said suddenly, his voice low, as if he could speak to you alone amidst the chaos.
You growled, frustration building in your chest. “And you don’t have to keep pretending you care!”
He blocked your next strike with ease, his eyes flickering with something unreadable. “What makes you think I’m pretending?”
That stopped you for a moment. Your sword hovered in the air as you stared at him, the words catching you off guard. His expression softened slightly, and you noticed that he wasn’t attacking as aggressively as he could have. In fact, it seemed as though he was holding back.
“You don’t know me,” you snapped, stepping back to regain your composure.
He sheathed his sword, making you pause. “I know enough.”
Before you could retort, a nearby explosion rocked the ground, sending dust and debris into the air. The shockwave threw you both backward, and you hit the ground with a grunt. For a moment, your vision blurred, the chaos around you fading to a dull roar.
When the dust settled, you found yourself staring up at the sky, dazed. But then, a shadow fell over you, and you blinked up to see Edmund standing above you, his hand outstretched.
“Let me help you,” he said, his voice steady despite the battle still raging around you.
You glared at him, but the strength in your arms had fled. Reluctantly, you took his hand, allowing him to pull you to your feet. His grip was firm, and for a moment, neither of you moved, your hands lingering together a little too long.
“Why are you doing this?” you asked, breathless. Your heart pounded, but it wasn’t just from the exertion of battle.
Edmund’s expression softened. “Because I don’t want to see you hurt.”
The words hit you harder than any sword could. You stared at him, confused and conflicted. “We’re enemies,” you whispered. “You’re supposed to want to see me fall.”
His hand remained on yours, warm and steady, grounding you in a way you hadn’t expected. “Maybe we don’t have to be enemies anymore,” he said softly. “We’ve fought for so long, but what if there’s another way?”
You wanted to argue, to push him away, but his words—his gaze—cut through your defenses. There was a sincerity in his eyes, a raw honesty that you hadn’t been prepared for. Your breath caught in your throat, and for a moment, you let yourself wonder if he was right.
Edmund stepped closer, his voice barely a whisper now. “You don’t have to fight this war alone. You don’t have to carry this burden anymore.”
You swallowed hard, your pulse quickening as he inched nearer. The battlefield, the chaos around you—all of it seemed to fade away. There was only him. And for the first time, you realized how much you had been fighting against yourself, not just him.
“Why do you care?” you asked, your voice trembling.
He hesitated for a moment, his hand brushing against your cheek. The touch sent a shiver down your spine. “Because… I think I’ve been fighting against myself too,” he admitted. “I’ve hated this war as much as you do.”
You stared at him, searching his face for any sign of deceit, but there was none. Just vulnerability. A rawness you hadn’t expected to see in him.
Before you could stop yourself, you leaned in, your breath mingling with his. His eyes flickered down to your lips, and for a heartbeat, the world stood still. Then, slowly, cautiously, he closed the distance between you.
His lips met yours in a tentative kiss, soft and warm, like a promise. Your heart raced, and for a moment, you forgot everything—the war, the pain, the years of hatred. All that mattered was this. Him.
When you finally pulled back, your breath was shallow, and his eyes were filled with a mix of relief and something deeper. “We don’t have to keep fighting,” he whispered, his forehead resting against yours.
For the first time in years, you let yourself believe him.

#14DWY  Amour Sans Fin
#14DWY fanfic
Amour Sans Fin: Endless Love
<traumatized Angel consulting Ren/[Redacted] about nightmare in the midnight>
Minors PLEASE Don’t Interact
*Headcanon
*Assuming this all happens after engagement
*Angel is gender neutral; mostly use he/him as Ren/[Redacted]’s pronouns
*My first language isn’t English. Excuse me for the unexpected funny confusion <3
Word count: 1000(+-)
----------
I used to toss and turn all night, devoured by fears and helplessness before I found you.
Two broken souls are now nestling together, dragging each other away from the abyss of the past.
We have each other now.
-----------
You were woken up by a slight movement, humming in confusion. Your eyelashes shivered faintly when the one beside you pressed a soft kiss.
“[Redacted]?” You squinted your eyes, and then you realized it’s 3 am. You could barely recognize his face in the darkness, only hearing his faint breath. The one near you remained silent, locking his ocean-blue eye on you.
“Are you alright…?”
“…’m fine.”
His voice was calm and comforting, but you had an instinct that something was off-track about him right now, so you struggled to get up, leaning yourself on him slowly and gently. His rapid heartbeat betrayed him, desperately revealing the truth for you, just for you.
He COULD act perfectly like nothing happened, but he hesitated because of the faint hope you gave to him as you said: “I’d love to know ALL of you, as how you saw me when I cried and grieved.” He knew you’d despise him if he told you, but what if, maybe, you would give him some… pity? This wasn’t enough because he CRAVED love, but he couldn’t dare to expect more if he revealed his past. Probably because of the confidence boosted by the fact that you two were engaged, this stupid idea echoed in his head. It was the first time he couldn’t be prepared before you checked on him.
For a long while, none of you moved an inch. As you heard his heartbeat stabilize, you reached out to hug him, rubbing your face against his collarbone.
“I love you more than anything or anyone else.” You murmured quietly, but you knew he could hear every word from you. “You have me now. All for yourself.”
His eyes widened in disbelief. He had just dreamed he was the helpless kid he abhorred again. He had just woken up in fear as the whole world abandoned him, but right now you just stayed beside him, confessing your love and affection to him. You were lively, warm, and soft.
This is REAL.
“I love you too.” He kind of choked on his words. He couldn’t think of anything else but just repeat this straightforward commitment again and again. Then, he quietly sighed, “I don’t deserve you, Angel.”
Your brow rose in disagreement. The fact that he saw you, the complete and real you, and still chose to love and devote to you for ages was far more than enough for you. He held you and hid you under his wings. If you stared at your photos with him, you would see bright admiration in both his and your eyes, but you knew that you couldn’t convince him with words. Instead, you snuggled with him, holding his hands.
He seemed to relax, and you started to wonder what happened. Your words slipped from your lips before you gave it a second thought. “What’s wrong?”
“I…” He tensed up again and shivered faintly. He suddenly felt he couldn’t hold back anymore, but he just bit his lip and shut his eyes close, not letting sounds escape from his throat. But you still heard those vague groans. He bit it too hard so that his lower lips became pale and might bruise. You couldn’t stand letting him hurt himself, so you caressed his lips, trying to comfort him by patting his back at the same time.
“It’s okay. You don’t have to say anything if you don’t want to.”
He caged you by his arms tightly, unconsciously caressed your back when he buried his face into your shoulder.
 “I just couldn’t… I had no choice…I…I never wanted to…” He sobbed while feeling comforted and safe around your aurora.
You couldn’t understand what he was talking about, but you guessed it.
Vaguely, probably about the past. You were as broken as him before you met him. You used to curl up desperately inside the closet, whispering things you didn’t even understand. Your mind fell into a void and your vision blurred. Then he came along. He sat down on the floor, staring at the closed closet as if he could see through the inside.
“Knock, knock.”
His fingers gently knocked on the closet, but he didn’t say anything else, nor did he open the closet. You noticed him, staring back through the tiny gap. For a long while, he just sat there and waited patiently. Finally, you pushed the closet door timidly to test the water. He immediately reached out your hand, fingers intertwined. You couldn’t hold back burst into tears and dive into his hug. You cried out loud like a kid but with relief because you finally found long-lost soul fragments. He kissed your eyelids and told you he loved you and would guard you, again and again, and you almost melted in his embrace. The emptiness within was seamlessly woven whole.
And now you just wanted to cup up his shattered heart as well as he did.
So, before he covered up his indecency with embarrassment, you ran your fingers through his velvety hair with admiration and murmured, “[Redacted], I understand…I love you.” He violently shivered after he processed what you said. You cuddled him until his breath was even. He slowly pulled himself from you, wiping his tears awkwardly and looking deep into your eyes.
“Sometimes I feel we were meant to be for each other.”  He leaned forward to beg a long and soft kiss, caressing your engagement ring.
“Maybe we are.” You chuckled, and patted the bedsheet while lying down, “And I probably need a nice nap with my dearest SOULMATE before waking up for my job. Wanna catch some Z's??”
“’m in.” [Redacted] settled you by his chest and smirked. He fell asleep right after you idly yawned. He hid his most cherished treasure near his heart proudly, smug, probably dreaming about the upcoming wedding.
----------
Random thoughts:
* Kind of inspired by the “DiE4u” from the Spotify playlist of [Redacted].
I really want to share some lyrics:
“'cause I’ve died inside a thousand times
    But still I’d kill myself for you
‘Cause the truth of it, you could slit my wrists
And I’d write your name in a heart with the hemorrhage”
This is Ren/[Redacted]…
*Probably would add some suggestive content if I would post this in AO3
*English is devastating. I laughed out loud when I realized I had misspelled Angel to Angle (probably because the math professor brainwashed me with polar coordinate integral this week)

Quick drabble about what I think they talked about during that scene, to make up for the delay of the long fanfic:
Tumblr media
"You know-" Gwen began, looking at the sunset before them "I've seen my universe's sunset a million times..."
Miles turned towards her, her lips curled into a small smile, her shoulders back and relaxed. Her blue eyes shone like diamonds against the bright sunrays.
She looked ethereal, and Miles tried to store her image in his memory forever. After two years of longing; after two years of endless nights looking at the window, hoping she would come through it, she was finally here. Beside him.
He wanted to pinch himself, though he was afraid if he did it it would actually be a dream.
When she spoke up again his eyes trailed up, and he realize he'd been watching her new suit. The changes were subtle, but they were there.
"...but I don't think I've ever seen one as beautiful as this one" she turned to him and Miles swore his heart skipped a beat. The warmth colors contrasted with her pale skin, and the pink at the ends of her hair looked too vivid, rather than the washed out pink it looked like when she arrived to his room.
He was sure this was what Gwen was made for. To be adored, to be admired. To be basking in the sunlight and warmth of his New York. He doubted anyone else's universe (or anyone else, for that matter) could appreciate her the way she was intended to.
"I don't think I've ever seen any as beautiful as this one either" he mumbled, getting lost in the deep blue of the ocean that her eyes held. He was sure that if he could, he would've drowned in them a long, long time ago.
Gwen laughed confused, before realizing what he meant "Oh" a shy chuckle escaped her lips and she looked away of what she told herself was embarrassment. Though, between me and you, it was more because she did not trust her voice to not croak if she told him he looked very handsome too.
And while words may have not escaped her lips to show her gratitude, her hand trailed just a bit closer to Miles. As if to say "It's okay, I'm never leaving you".
She knew that was a lie, but she let herself daydream and enjoy the last bit of sunlight covering the rooftops of New York. So she hid the pang she felt in her heart and instead relished on the quiet breath of Miles next to her and the sound of her heartbeat, and how it beat for the guy she loves.

A Sunday Message
Tumblr media
I say this as a mod for Scribbles & Drabbles.
I say this as a mediocre artist.
I say this as a fanfic author.
Be kind to yourself
Life throws us off balance more often than we'd like; you're NOT alone in this.
You're doing great!
You don't owe it to anyone to write/draw/deliver more, or different things, or more/less spice.
Do not make yourself miserable by telling yourself that you should do things you cannot or do not want to do.
I love you! I am rooting for you! And I have absolute faith in your abilities!
Please, rest, recover, heal. We'll all be here still when you come back, and we'll love you just the same!
(And if you ever need someone to hold your hand across the endless ocean that is the internet, you know where to find me!)

I’m having too many thoughts about about Trigun Stampede and it’s probably nothing, but here we go (beware some very heavy handed religious comparisons/symbolism)
This is somewhere between actual meta/character analysis and fanfic, but whatever:
Nai
You are a child and to the best of your knowledge you are one of the only two beings like you in existence. You are a child and you are told that your creation was miraculous, that you are perfect and the future itself. You are neither Human nor Alien, you are simply Other. You are better than either. Unflawed. You are a child and you see the species from which you were created, a species that was artificially created as a means to an end, live out their entire lives in captivity, in servitude. You are taught they are non-sapient, perhaps even non-sentient, and without free will. You exist to serve too, but you resent this. You resent that you are meant to be like the humans, to pretend that you are one of them. You find humanity contemptible and resent their endless wars and conquest and enslavements and pain (you have had a relatively painless childhood). And you read their scriptures and feel confident in your knowledge of humanity’s failures and inherent depravity. Their religious histories are teeming with injustice, with pain, and war and famine. You are a child, but you are intelligent. If this is what they believe in, what can you do? What Good can they really do? You begin to Doubt.
You discover another of your kind, a third, and she has been taken apart and studied by these humans. You are being raised to love them. You don’t. They love you like a dog loves a bone. You can only destroy them before they destroy you. You are intelligent and full of what can only be righteous fury, and you make them Fall. Your brother resents you, resents the deaths, is terrified and hurt and you have to Save Both of You.
Some of the humans survive. You twist them into their own downfall. You take their scriptures and turn words to weapons. It is an honor to serve you, you are an angel, a god, salvation and creation at your fingertips. Death, too. You are owed this for the depravity you and your kind have been subjected to. (You don’t realize, or maybe you no longer care, what you are subjecting them to.) If your brother will not join you on your mission he will die for it. For the greater good. (Who will survive your greater good?)
Wolfwood
You are a child and you aren’t raised to be nice, but you try to be kind. You protect your little brother. You are smart and strong and independent and you care too much. You are raised to believe in a very present god. No one tells you if he is a loving god or not. His angels and priests take you away and it is an honor to be chosen, to be god’s child of blessing. (It is a relief to be taken so no one else will be.)
You go through hell, you live in purgatory. Maybe it is still hell, your skin no longer feels like your own and your hands are bloodstained and fit only around the grip of a gun. You are not allowed to die. You find out your little brother isn’t either. He’s in hell too, but not with you. The god you serve is not a loving god, nor are his angels kind. You are god’s righteous man and you bear a cross and all of the weight of the blood spilled on it, by it.
You are a weapon and any morals you might have grown into are collateral damage. You would do anything for your family. You have done Everything for your family. They don’t mourn or look for you, the blessed chosen one.
You have free will. There is also a gun to your and everyone you’ve ever loved’s heads.
You aren’t sure if you’re a person anymore. (What greater good requires monsters like you? What god would create demons?)
You follow orders. You don’t believe in anything. You could fill oceans with the blood you have spilled. You are told if you follow this last order you will be free and your family will be safe. You aren’t even supposed to kill him, just lead him to his death. You’ve done so many horrible things, this pales in comparison. And you’re already in hell.
You find him. He’s the kindest person you’ve ever met and he doesn’t want to hurt anyone. He takes on as much hurt as he can, sometimes more. He saves your family without even knowing, and he saves them again when you sell him out. He doesn’t hold it against you.
The first thing you do as a free man is try to save someone. You have decided you care enough to try, just this once. The world still ends. And you still aren’t allowed to die. Better people have already died for you. For your sins.
Vash
You are a child and you love your family very much. You aren’t as special as your brother, as useful, but you love learning and exploring and people. You see the good in everyone. You are terrified when you discover another being like you and your brother, terrified by how she has been treated, by her being a secret, by what else the person you see as a parent might be hiding from you. But you trust her and love her and inevitably mourn her. You are taught to love and serve humans and it is your life’s work.
Your brother makes your world end and says you helped. Everyone you’ve ever cared about except him is dead. You are terrified and you spend the next century atoning for not knowing better. For loving, to continue loving. You are not loved in return.
You do your best to help everyone you can regardless of species. You are special too, it turns out, and bring hope and peace to your people and to the humans, at least for a little while. And you try not to be dangerous. You want to be harmless and you never quite pull it off. You don’t tell anyone the whole truth, but the secrets aren’t enough to keep you safe forever.
You make friends and you don’t have long together. You think you must be bad luck, and you forgive your friend for leading you to your biggest fear. You have to confront it anyways, it’s not his fault. He’s cares about you, but it’s not his job to protect you.
You confront your brother. He destroys everything again and he uses you to hurt people. Again. Your people, humans, what could survive his greater good? You fight back, you win. Kind of. Maybe. A Pyrrhic victory. You are alone and the world hates you for the destruction you tried to prevent. They always do. Why are you the devil when you just want to help?

Day 5: A romantic fic
For @hprecfest!
I can’t pick just one! I’ve read so many beautiful, swoon-inducing fics. I also don’t want to have to pick between my two favourite ships so I’m going to rec one for each!
Détraquée by Hystaracal
Pairing: Dramione
Rating: M
One-sentence summary: Hermione’s journey through the quagmire (school, war, adolescence, adulthood), finding love and self-actualization along the way.
To put it simply, this story is a triumph. But it would do it a disservice to try and put it simply. This story is carefully considered, layered with intertextuality, and skillfully-executed narrative devices. You go so deep into Hermione’s mind with all its brilliance and bravery and fear and insecurity and imperfections. You come out of it loving her deeply. You also come out of it loving Draco (at least, I did) because holy moly, what a journey from A to B. This story is the slowest of burns. I’ve seen it described as a “full burn” because the seeds of their romance are planted in the very first chapter but it takes half a lifetime to see it come to fruition. But when they get there…we’re rewarded with some of the most romantic passages I’ve ever read in a novel, fanfic or not. Their romance is flawed and delicate but so earnest, and so earned, and it gets stronger as it’s nurtured. When I say parts made me swoon, I’m talking stomach-swooping, hand over my mouth, putting my phone in my lap and catching my breath.
This is the kind of story you come back to time and again because it just keep revealing itself to you through each reread. I could go on and on about it. I have endless admiration for the author.
Ever Thus by @wrapped-up
Pairing: Wolfstar
Rating: M
One-sentence summary: Remus and Sirius are university roommates and they are definitely, 100% not dating (except they are and we all know it, they just don’t know it yet).
I love all flavours of wolfstar but there’s something about a dynamic where Sirius is secretly pining for Remus while focusing his energy on being his Best Friend and dutifully supporting him through the good times and the bad, in sickness and in health, that just mmhmm yep, makes my stomach flutter. Reading this felt like the watching the best kind of new adult romcom - a hilarious group of friends, that strange in-betweeness of becoming a Real Adult, two relentlessly likeable romantic leads, oceans of pining, and the sweetest romance when they finally come into harbour and admit how they feel for each other. WrappedUp has written many hits and they need no introduction, but there’s a sweet rawness to this particular story that plucked a string in my heart.

FIRST FLIGHT
Predaking x GN!Human!Reader. No use of Y/N, and no gender specifics. Can be M/M or F/M. This is my first time writing an x reader fanfic.
Inspired by @emotionallyattachednerd 's work. You inspired me to finally write an x reader!
Trigger Warning: This story contains talk of terminal illness and death. If this is something you're not comfortable with, I suggest reading something else.
You sat on the cliff's edge, looking out at the expanse of endless ocean in front of you. The sun was setting, coloring the waters with an array of pinks, purples, and yellows. It was beautiful, but you weren't there for the sunset.
A few weeks ago, you were there just to admire the sight, listening to the waves break on the jagged rocks below. That was where you first saw it. At first, you thought it was a bird. A really big bird. That was until it spread its wings. They seemed to envelop the whole sky, blocking out the sun and showing off its true shape. A dragon. A majestic, real-life dragon. The beauty of the ocean was lost as you gazed at the beast, watching as it flew past. You had tried to follow parallel to it on the cliffs, but after almost slipping on some loose rocks on the edge of a particularly steep section, you were forced to stop.
That was why you were there. You hoped to see it again. With your sketchbook in hand, you did your best to remember the first sighting. It had been days with no results, however, you still kept coming back in hopes that you'd get one more glimpse of it.
You checked your watch. It was getting close to 9. It was going to be dark soon. With a sigh, you stood up, about to return to your car when there was a heavy thud behind you. You whirled around, fearing that a boulder came loose from the rock face above, but instead, you saw it. The dragon.
Up close, you saw that it wasn't your typical scaled dragon, but a metal one made up of armor plating, robotic joints, and glowing yellow eyes. You were in awe.
"Wow…" It was all you could say as you took a small step forward. It was huge. Far bigger than you imagined. You were expecting something of Toothless's size, or even the wyverns in Game of Thrones, but the dragon in front of you was about the size of Tohru from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid.
Its head moved away, its mandibles chittering slightly as you reached out. Seeing that it didn't want to be touched, you pulled your hand back and clasped them behind you.
"Hello." You said with a smile. "It's nice to see you again." No response. You didn't expect one.
"I was hoping to see you again before I…" You cleared your throat. "Yeah…" This had been your dream for the past few days, and now that it came true, you're at a loss for words, like a shy teenager asking their crush to the senior prom.
You watched in amazement as the dragon's armor began to shift and change with whirrs and clicks, each piece shifting into place as it changed shape to a more humanoid shape. A very spiky, metallic humanoid.
"You are not afraid." It was a statement, not a question. You nodded.
"I've been coming here every day in hopes I'd see you." You replied.
"And why is that?" The mechanical figure asked.
"I… uh… like dragons." It was the only reply you had. It wasn't false. It just felt stupid to say out loud. "Do you have a name?"
"I am called Predaking, little human." He said. He stood proud. It was indeed a fitting title. You bowed politely. There was a small, awkward pause.
"You hadn't finished your sentence before." You looked confused for a second before realizing which sentence he was talking about.
"Oh… uhm... I don't have long before an illness I have kills me." You replied
"You are dying?"
"It's not so bad." You replied. "That's why I used to come up here. I wanted to memorize the sunset because there will be a time I won't be able to see it again like this. Now I come here in hopes of seeing you. Which now I have." You teared up but quickly tried to hide it with a laugh.
"What kind of illness is it that ails you?" Predaking asked.
"My heart's beginning to fail." You replied. "It doesn't help that I walk two miles uphill every evening. I wish I could fly like you." This time, you couldn't hold back the sadness you felt.
"S-Sorry, your majesty." You said, covering your face. You tried to stop the tears, but they were endless. Predaking stared at you. He felt pity.
"Perhaps... I can offer you some comfort." Predaking suddenly said. You sniffed, looking at him. "You said you wished you could fly. I can lend you my wings, just for the evening."
"Y-you… is that alright?"
"I would not have suggested it if it wasn't." Predaking replied. He transformed back into a dragon, crouching down and letting you use his wing as a ramp. Once he felt you settle, he spread his wings before taking off. You felt all your worries stay on the cliff top as you rose into the air. You clung to Predaking's spines as he half flew, half glided through the evening sky. The stars were just beginning to appear as the sun dipped behind the horizon. Your weak heart felt strong again as you looked down at the waters below. Predaking's wings seemed to glow in the approaching darkness. He circled the mountain, being careful not to fly too fast. He liked feeling you cling to him. You began to chuckle before it turned into a laugh, then into an excited whoop.
"This is amazing, your majesty!" You shouted. "You're amazing." You didn't want this to end. The darkened sky, feeling the wind in your face, your hair, your clothes. It felt wonderful. It only became better as the darkness of night filled the sky, the stars lighting up the world around you. You reached up, feeling as if you could grab hold of the tiny twinkling lights. Even Predaking gazed up. He never really admired the stars before. He had been too focused on other things. But with you on his back, his own anxieties were left on that cliff top. He was afraid that, when he landed, the anger would return.
The flight continued for another hour before Predaking returned you to the cliff. To his surprise, his negative feelings did not return. He felt… happy.
"Thank you, your majesty." You said as he returned to his primary form. You hugged his leg, being the only part you could really get to.
"Perhaps… We could do this again?" He asked. You nodded eagerly.
 "I would love that."
The next few days were the same. You'd meet on the cliff before soaring through the evening skies, forgetting all your worries. As the weeks passed, you showed up less and less. However, Predaking still returned to wait like you had for him.
One day, Predaking arrived at the cliff like he always did. Once again, you weren't there. He waited for an hour, but when you didn't show up, he turned to leave when he saw something on the ground. It was your sketchbook. He picked it up, carefully opening it. Inside were numerous drawings of dragons. Many of which he remembered you telling him about. Toothless, Drogon, Tohru, Spike… all the dragons from different media you had watched. As he turned the page, the cartoony sketches changed to something else. Him. When did you have time to make these wonderful pieces? He flipped through them before reaching the last page. It was a sketch of you and him this time. Beside it was a note:
Your majesty,
I am sorry for not meeting you this evening. My condition has worsened greatly these past few weeks, which is why I often failed to show. I used my last ounce of strength to leave this here for you to find and remember me by. I will not be returning.
I am happy that I got to fly with you. The time we spent together helped me forget the pain I felt fearing this moment. But I am no longer afraid. I am happy. You made me happy. I hope, as you soar through the skies, that you will remember me as I do when I look out the hospital window at the sunset. Thank you for everything.
I'll miss you.
A pained screeching roar echoed over the mountains before it became a whimper as he stared at the drawing. He took the sketchbook gently in his claws before transforming, spreading his wings, and taking flight.
As you sat on the hospital bed, staring at the lowering sun, you thought you saw the majestic form of Predaking in the distance. You smiled. You knew it was him. You laid back down as rhythmic beeping beside you began slowing. Just before it turned into a still whine, you whispered your final words.
"I'll miss you."

Writing this made me realize that I kinda abandoned this account lmao.
Heres Aelin smut (i tried my best I home it’s not terrible) and feel free to send in more asks!
Burn Me Inside And Out (I Need The Burn)
Tags: fxf, female!reader, post-canon, confident!reader, teasing, semi-public??? She fingers you in a hallway dude idk, fingering, Aelin being downbad for reader, reader teases Aelin during a party and reaps the benefits
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You didn’t brag often.
Mostly because your wife bragged enough about you, and because you didn’t feel the need to. You knew that you were quite the catch and you didn’t feel the need to flaunt what was already obvious.
But, Hellas, you looked good.
You knew it from the stares you could feel piercing you, from the moment you walked in the room till you stood against the wall, your back pressed against cool wood. Your bare back.
The black dress you were wearing was backless, proudly showing off the golden backdrop necklace that rested in between your shoulder blades and trailed down to your lower back. You hide a smug smile as you take another sip of your wine. You had already counted at least three guests at this party that had nearly choked on their wine when they saw the necklace, their eyes roving over you.
While their gazes were amusing, if not a bit of a ego boost, it wasn’t them you wanted to impress.
It was your wife’s.
Aelin.
You felt her gaze on you the moment you stepped into the party, piercing you like a blade from across the room.
You had watched as she ended her conversation as quickly as she could without enacting a national incident, making her way through the crowd towards you. Her fiery blond hair was bright against the crowd, making her a lighthouse in the endless ocean of the people spreading the two of you.
You had felt a bit bad when you moved away just as she was close enough that you could make out her dark dress, it’s gold lining complimenting the golden shards that danced in her turquoise eyes.
You would have been perfectly fine to allow her to touch you, her arm wrapping around your waist as she pulled you closer to her. She would have run her hand over your bare back, her fingers idly playing with the necklace draped down your back as the two of you made your rounds around the room, charming anyone around you.
You certainly didn’t mind the idea, you loved it if you were being honest, but you liked the idea of teasing her more.
You have been ignoring her the entire night, moving out of reach before she could reach for you or leading her into guests that were dying to talk to their queen. You watched her from your position against the wall, smirking when she caught your eyes over the shoulder of whatever lord she was talking with.
She look thoroughly uninterested in whatever he was saying, her eyes only for you. Her eyes narrowed as she took in your smug expression, momentarily turning back to the lord to excuse herself as she began to make her way towards you.
You rolled your shoulders as you reached out towards one of the servants next to you, replacing your now empty drink with a full one as you began to make your way back into the crowd. You looked over your shoulder, biting your lip to hold in your laugh as you made yourself further into the crowd, blending into the people around you almost seamlessly.
Almost.
Honestly, sometimes you forgot your wife used to be an assassin.
An arm wrapped around your waist, pulling you into a warm body behind you. You went willingly, almost purring as a hand ran up your throat to tilt your head until red lips pressed against yours. Gods, with how good Aelin felt pressed against you, kissing you, you were beginning to question why you were teasing her in the first place.
The answer came a moment later when Aelin turned you to face her, her eyes blazing with desire and need. She bent her head, her lips brushing over your pulse.
“You're trying to kill me.” She says, her breath warm against the skin of your neck. You hum and trail your fingertips over her sides, “Maybe.” You tease, tightening your grip as you pulled her closer to you.
She can't hold back a chuckle at your pleased tone, pressing a kiss against your neck before she pulls away to face you. You know there's no point in hiding the blush rising to your cheeks. You can feel her red lipstick lingering on your skin and you don't doubt that she's left a bright red mark on you for all to see.
Her eyes glance over you, her hunger for you growing as she takes in the way your dress hugs your body. One of her hands trails down your side until she reaches your thigh, rubbing her thumb over the fabric there.
You wrap your arms around her neck, pulling her closer to you so you can press your lips together. Gods, she's not even fully touching you and you can already feel the heat rising from between your thighs, making you agonizingly focused on her touch.
The two of you part, breathless.
“I think we’re going to have to miss this dance, love.” Aelin asks, her voice light despite the hunger in her eyes. You chuckle, moving towards her neck to press your lips against her throat, leaving your own lipstick mark on your skin.
“Really? May I ask why, dearest?” You tease before gasping as she began to read you out of the room. She dodges between people before she's able to pull you into one of the large halls leading into the party.
She presses you against a wall, kissing you fiercely as she grips your hips. Her nails dig into your skin, even through the fabric of your dress. Her grip stings, setting your blood aflame as you buck your hips against her.
“Gods,” Aelin groans, “how attached are you to this dress?” You furrow your brows, pulling away to glare at her.
“Don’t even think about it.” You warn, still gasping for air. She huffs, bending her head to nip your throat. She chuckles when you arch your neck, exposing more of yourself to her. Her fangs trace over your pulse and you bunch the fabric of her dress in your hands as you groan.
One of her hands moves from your hips to rub over your thigh, pulling your dress up until it haphazardly bunches over your hips. Her other hand moves to brush over your underwear, lacy fabric covering her prize.
You chuckle breathlessly at her growl of frustration before gasping as she tugs your panties to the side, her fingers immediately finding your wet heat. She groans as your wetness coats her fingers. She glides her fingers over your clit, rubbing firmly against it. You bit your lip to hold in your moans, bucking your hips against her hand.
She purrs at your desperation, head ducking down to nip and kiss at your throat, “That’s it, sweetheart.” Her husky voice seems to echo in your ears as your hips pick up their pace. Aelin allows you to grind to your hearts content, waiting until your gasping out as your almost reach your peak. She drags her fingers away suddenly, laughing at your growl as you try to pull her hand back to you.
“Patience sweetheart. I’ll give you what you need.” Aelin coos, voice mocking and sickly sweet as she traced her fingers over you. She rubs over your clit firmly one more time before she moves lower, entering you. Your gasp as she pushes one, two fingers inside you.
Aelin doesn’t bother going slow, her fingers driving into your fiercely as you gasp and moan. You can barely bring yourself to care about your voice echoing back to the party, hips bucking. You can only focus on Aelin, on her fingers inside you and her lips at your neck.
She snarls at your moans, almost as desperate as you as she begins to hammer into you. Her voice is strained as she speaks, hunger clouding her eyes, “Come on sweetheart, give it to me. Soak my hand and let everyone know how good I make you feel.”
And you do, gods you do. Your body shakes as your cum, your wet heat tightening around Aelin’s fingers. Aelin curses, her fingers still thrusting into you. She eventually slows her pace as your breathing and shaking slows, pulling her fingers from you with a wet noise that leaves you flushed.
She holds your gaze as she rubs her tongue over her fingers, cleaning your wetness from them. You bite you lip, fighting against your suddenly desperate to pull her back to you despite your recent orgasm.
She smirks, pulling her fingers from her mouth as her free hand begins to smooth out your dress. At your confused look she chuckled, gold-flecked eyes sparking in amusement.
“We don’t want you to walk back into the party looking freshly fucked, do we? Imagine the scandal.” She laughs when your hand pushed at her shoulder, ignoring your glare as she offers you a hand.
“Shall we?”
The next literacy class had come around quicker than expected. Not to mention how paranoid you were about bumping into Gale again. You had made an effort to keep your mind away from your last awkward interaction. Sadly, every time you sat in a classroom, you painfully cringed at the memory.
Now again, on your way to class, you decided to stop by the bathrooms. You fixed your hair in the mirror and placed your glasses back on your face. Coming out, you bump forcefully into someone.
“Watch it! What in the hell has got you in a hurry?” the person on the other side of the door complains. You step out, and a tall half-orc looks down at you. "Well, aren’t you a pretty little thing?” He steps forward, closing the space between both of you. Your back is pressed against the textured wall. “Step back now, or I will make your face burn.” You warn them, feeling the hot breath of their smirk on your face. "Mmm, I can tell you’re fiery. The tips of your elf ears are almost glowing.” He laughs. You waste no time in conjuring a fireball into your fingertip and pointing it bellow his chin.
“You are lucky. I value my education over incinerating your thick skull. Get out of my way or burn.” The half-orc is taken aback and opens the way for you to get out. You swiftly turn the corner and bump chest to chest with the one and only Gale. Your complexion was a shade of raging red and your pupils dilated with the full concentration of your spells. The warm residual arcana flows through your body.
Gale looks into your eyes, trying to bring you back from the anger and wrath boiling in your blood. “Don’t let him get to you. Such a dimwitted sorcerer doesn’t deserve your attention or your gaze.” He places his hands on your shoulders. He was angry that someone had the audacity to treat you this way. You feel your muscles start to relax with his words. You take a deep breath.
"...and I would have to get a new desk partner. That would certainly be a hassle; I haven’t found anyone as competent as you for the position.” You let out a laugh. His eyes are bright, and he feels accomplished to have lightened up the mood.
“Thank you.” You feel the stinging of your body dissipate and transform into butterflies in the depths of your belly button.
“You are most welcome. Shall we continue with our academic duties?” He offers his arm, knowing your body had produced a copious amount of energy that faded as quickly as it was summoned. You nod, resting your hand on his forearm. You walk slowly to the classroom.
Tumblr media
You were astonished to see the size of his house. Gale had invited you over to study in his tower. The place felt endless, most walls covered from the floor to the ceiling in books. The salty air from the ocean coming in from the open windows. The sun was soon to set but Gale had already prepared a lamp on the desk for you both.
“I was thinking, maybe we could try our protection spells on a notebook first?” You ask.
You had been tasked with creating a “Pushback Literature Protection spell” for your favorite book. You had chosen ‘The Annals of Romance’ it was a bit embarrassing. A novel of romance, betrayal, and undying love. With insight into man's most troubling questions about life and himself.
“I’ll volunteer my journal; it's filled with exceptional poetry and a few mediocre illustrations of Tara.” Gale chuckled as Tara slept peacefully on top of a bookshelf next to the library window.
You stand next to him and watch him recite the incantation from your notebook. His hands expertly flick and swish in the air. You shiver at the thought of his hands on your body but quickly push the thought away so as not to cause yourself any embarrassment by blushing. Lights and symbols seemed to fall from his palms onto the notebook. “That shall do. Should we test it?” He asks.
“Allow me; you already offered your notebook.” You take the leather book in your hands and unclasp the bronze buckle keeping it locked. You open his notebook, and a gust of wind throws you into the nearest tower of arranged books. You hit your head against something hard. You hiss and open your eyes. A statue of Mystra seems to look down on you mockingly when you hear Gale running to you. “Gods, I apologize I think it was overpowered. Are you alright? Did you hit yourself?” His voice almost cracked, worried he had caused you any harm. “Don’t worry, you did great. Im honored.” You laugh and touch your head. There is a wet spot on your crown, you press through your hair with your fingertips. Blood. Looking back at your hand, you feel dizzy. You didn’t do well with blood, and the hit from the protective spell wasn’t helpful.
Strong arms pick you up from the floor. You want so badly to sleep the pain off. “Stay awake, love. Whatever you do, don't close your eyes, alright? I will set you down on the bed and get something to heal you.” You listen to Gales dancing voice. His accent thick from the strength of carrying you up the stairs. You just look at him, his nose, and the curve of his lips. You reach out to touch his beard, and his eyes meet yours. His frown turns into somewhat sad puppy eyes, worried but enjoying this bit of contact before setting you on the bed and running out of the room. “TARA!” You hear him call out down the hallway.
The bed sheets are made of beautiful silk, a deep shade of purple. The pillow under your head was soft and smelled of rosemary and peppermint. Looking up, you see a sheer canopy with a small blue light floating down. You shut your eyes, feeling your head pulsating. You feel someone touch your hand—a cold and small hand. A woman sits beside you on the bed; her glowing aura seems unreal , her slick black hair almost touches the bed; and her blue eyes search into you. “As beautiful and powerful as you are, you can't be a distraction. He is meant for far more. He is meant for me.” She turns translucent until you can't feel her presence.
You hear Gales heavy steps come from the door. "I'm sorry to have taken so long.” He presses a damp towel on top of your head. You try sitting up, but your strength fails you. You feel yourself getting pale. Gale grabs you around your waist from above and pushes you up. He brings a small vial to your mouth, signaling for you to tilt your head. You think back to the mysterious woman and her convincing argument.
‘Distraction? Are they trying to get rid of me?’
You turn your head away from the vial and wince at the movement. Gale seems to read your hesitant gesture. "Andromeda,” he whispers to you. Your eyes are watering; you don't want to believe he could hurt you, but he could. “This is a brew of ashes of balsam and salt. Please trust that I want only what is best for you.” You look at him; his big brown eyes are watering too. You put your lips on the vial and tilt your head. He places a hand behind your head, keeping the towel in place.
“Please rest, I swear no harm will come to you. Tara will sleep here in case you need anything. Just let her know, alright?” You hum in agreeance. You wish you had the courage to touch his face again and let him know you trust him, but your body feels sore and the words seem to have left your mouth. You lay down, and Gale pulls the silk blanket from under you to tuck you in. Before he turns to leave, you grab his wrist and hold the edge of his hand. “Thank you." you whisper, falling into the darkness behind your eyelids.
“You are most welcome." You feel a kiss pressing on your forehead. You fall into a deep slumber.
Tumblr media
“Come see.” You hear a faint whisper inside your head. You wake up and it's still dark outside. The room was cold, and Gales beloved Tara slept comfortably on a padded chair next to the bed. You slip onto the floor quietly, following the hums calling out to you.
The hallway was glowing with the pearly light of the moon shining through the mosaic window. One of the last doors creaked open, the hums becoming moans.
“Come see, he is meant for me. He is meant for the weave." The voice whispers externally. You look through the small space of the open door—a small prayer room. Your breathing gets caught up in your chest, and your pulse quickens. You have never seen someone like this.
Gale was suspended midair, completely naked. His strong back faces the door which you hid behind. He was in a trance, his eyes glowing white, and his lips parted. He moaned and threw his head back in pleasure. You shut the door, feeling deep guilt for imposing.
It seems you have angered his goddess, and she is threatening you away from the wizard. Why? Why you? You have met Gale three times and haven’t shared a moment of passion together. But she knew more. She saw the force bringing both of you together. She saw the unbreakable connection you would have if she let your relationship run its course. It would ruin her plans completely; she saw the priority you could become for him and how she would remain but a figure on an obsolete altar.
She was willing to do anything to stop that from happening.
tma hc (or fanfic idea idk):
a cult of the vast that believes that the true form (or "creator"/manifestation) of the Vast is Asteria
"the falling titan": Asteria is a titaness, and is the goddess of falling stars
delos (the island she becomes/became): islands are surrounded by water. the ocean is notoriously a great thing for the Vast. plus she's a goddess of stars, astrology, and stuff, and that has to do with space which is also great for the vast
she's also connected to prophecy/oneiromancy (divination through dreams), and ofc all of the tma cults have prophets so it works out
(plus metaphorically dreams are endless places/times, so it fits even more with the Vast because the prophets are constantly surrounded by manifestations of the Vast, whether awake or unconscious)
can you hear me
I made cover art for my Kayn/Akali fanfic "The Scythe, and the Kunai" which you can read right here!
It's an enemies to friends to lovers fic, it has a bit of cutesy ship stuff, a bit of murder mystery, but it's mostly an Alternative Canon take on Kayn's LoR story and the way he deals with it (so expect a lot of LoR elements, but also a lot of changes). It is canon compliant and I tried to keep all characters as close to their canon selves as possible. I update it weekly or biweekly, usually on Fridays and Saturdays, so if you like Kayn/Akali or just generally Kayn content, feel free to check it out. I will update this art post with the chapters too!
Chapter log: 1. A Tavern in Weh'le 2. Calm is the Ocean Before the Storm 3. The Silver Boar 4. Back for the Blossom Festival 5. A Horse and A Wolf in Endless Chase
