"I do not do a thing with my fingers." He said. "What makes you think that I'm not pondering something your boy asked me." He said. "Who you talk with is your business. I think you and I know if you were interested you wouldn't be back here with me."

⠀⠀⠀⠀ “ah, eu conheço um lugar!” emma anunciou com uma determinação quase divertida, já assumindo a liderança enquanto o puxava pelo braço. guiou os dois pelo salão iluminado, desviando com naturalidade de grupos animados e olhares curiosos. assim que muse mencionou ter algo importante a dizer, mas reclamou da quantidade de ouvidos ao redor, ela não perdeu tempo - depois eu te falo é uma frase que emma simplesmente não consegue suportar. passos apressados os levaram até uma área próxima à piscina, onde o som da festa se tornava apenas um eco distante, e o jardim ao redor criava um refúgio acolhedor. “pronto, aqui ninguém vai ouvir,” afirmou com confiança, virando-se para muse. “só euzinha mesmo!” a risada leve que escapou logo em seguida entregava o entusiasmo dela. deu uma olhada rápida ao redor, como se quisesse garantir que estavam mesmo sozinhos, antes de cruzar os braços e inclinar levemente a cabeça. o brilho nos olhos deixava claro o quanto ela estava investida naquela conversa, ansiosa para saber o que muse tinha a dizer. “então… o que você queria falar?” perguntou, a voz cheia de expectativa enquanto encarava muse com toda a atenção possível.

Emma’s body felt as though it was vibrating from the anger that was boiling inside of her. She had let down her barriers, allowed Regina in. Something, she hadn’t done in such a long time. “You can’t even look at me, can you?!” Talking to Regina’s back, was infuriating her even more. Each second she waited for a response, felt more like dragged out minutes.

The kiss they had shared, was unexpected but god it was more perfect than Emma could ever have imagined it to be. The butterflies that had erupted in her stomach, the feeling of pure happiness that had came with it. It had given her a high, one she had never experienced before.

As Regina now turned to face her, the anger that had been taking over, turned to hurt. The look on the brunettes face was heart aching, dark orbs speaking unspoken words. Silently she stood, unable to form a word as Regina slowly took a step closer towards her. Shakily Emma reached for the hand now offered to her, the warmth of the others touch made her heart sink. “I’m scared too.” Her words coming out as a soft whisper. Regina’s hand still in her own, she took steps to close the remaining gap between them. “I’ve wanted this for so long. To feel your touch, your lips on mine.. Regina I want this.”

Tilting her head, smiling a bit, Emma took a long breath and then forced it out. "You are always going to be scared. From now until...forever? I guess?" She chuckled softly. "You don't have a choice about it. Not anymore."

location: marina market

the vibrant energy of the marina market was almost overwhelming — the air thick with the smell of fresh pastries, sea salt, and a hint of something floral from a nearby bouquet stall. serin moved through the crowd with her usual composed confidence, her heels clicking softly against the walkway. she wore a crisp white blazer and a matching silk blouse, the look sharp enough to draw a few admiring glances but casual enough for her to pass it off as effortless. she stopped at a stall selling artisanal candles, her eyes scanning the rows of neatly arranged jars with the faintest hint of curiosity. the vendor began to speak, but serin barely registered the words, distracted by the sudden awareness of someone stepping into her peripheral vision. it only took a glance to recognize her — emma cicciaro. the memory of winter wonderland flashed in serin’s mind: the warm glow of holiday lights, the faint smell of mulled wine, and the teasing smirk emma had worn like a second skin. that brief, playful exchange had been unexpected, and she had initially brushed it off at the time as nothing more than a fleeting distraction. but now, seeing her again, here of all places, felt deliberate. her lips curved into a faint smirk, the kind that hid more than it revealed, as she picked up a candle labeled amber & spice, holding it up as though inspecting it. without turning fully toward emma, she spoke, her tone cool but unmistakably amused. "of all the people I expected to see today, you weren’t even on the list. not complaining though."

Anyway, I've been working on some expression charts/mini references for the tangled threads universe (aka the threadverse) and I'm finally done!! I have 105 characters here. enjoy!

(please note that I didn't pick expressions, I spun a wheel with all the names and just drew the next expression)

"See! Exactly. Really, it's all your fault." Watching Emma use her magic was different than it was with his father. With him, the magic had consumed him. When given a choice between the magic and his own son's life, he had chosen the magic. It was something that was hard to forgive. He had used it to do horrible, awful things. Emma on the other hand, didn't. He had never seen her do it in a malicious way, and if ever given the choice, he had no doubt she would choose her family over it.
