Solar Opposites in Mighty Solars Issue #41: “Stolen” Pt. 2 Ch. 1

Back to where our heroes left off, Quasarblast dries his eyes with a tissue while Nova comforts him.

Nova: You okay there Korv? I had no idea you had a sister.

Sonya Solar-Opposites/???: Me neither.

Quasarblast snaps.

Korvo Solar-Opposites/Quasarblast: BECAUSE I THOUGHT SHE WAS DEAD BECAUSE SHLORP BLEW UP, OKAY?

Sonya Solar-Opposites/???: Aw, I’m really sorry Korvo.

Quasarblast calms down.

Korvo Solar-Opposites/Quasarblast: I’m sorry… it’s just my sister, who is the oldest, Janiz, was always there for me ever since I was an infant sproutling. She was like my best friend and she and I always been so close. She even relocate at a different area on Shlorp after graduation and before Yumyulack was born. I thought she was dead because I heard she didn’t get an evacuation partner and… starts crying as Nova starts to comfort him and-

Nova: Korvo, I'm so sorry.

Quasarblast starts crying as Nova soothes him. Vil-Gil-An-T sighs sadly.

Yumyulack Solar-Opposites/Vil-Gil-An-T: It’s true. Janiz is Korvo’s sister… and my aunt.

Sonya Solar-Opposites/???: Wait. You know her?

Yumyulack Solar-Opposites/Vil-Gil-An-T: Yeah. I even barely remember her because I was just a baby. She would always come over when she wants to see her nephew.

Sonya Solar-Opposites/???: Aw, I bet you were so cute back then as a sproutling.

Naomi helps banadage a wound on Quasarblast’s arm as he continues crying while Nova keeps soothing and comforting him while Vil-Gil-An-T blushes at what Sonya said.

Nova: Shh… it’s okay Korvo… Shh…

Korvo Solar-Opposites/Quasarblast: I want my sister...I want her...I WANT HER! punches something as he continues weeping

Nova give Quasarblast a cooldown hug as he cries into Nova’s chest as she smiles at her best friend. Vil-Gil-An-T, Mighty Pupa and Sonya pit comforting hands on Quasarblast. Quasarblast wipes away his tears as he starts breathing heavily in anger.

Korvo Solar-Opposites/Quasarblast: I can’t believe it! How could I not know she is alive! I’m her brother, I’m supposed to know-

MAX: Easy Korvo. She’s here on Earth. She’s just hiding for awhile until she is ready. She also want me to let you know that she is happy you’re here and that she loves you.

Quasarblast stops and shed tears of happiness.

Korvo Solar-Opposites/Quasarblast: Sh-she did?

MAX: Of course. She cries herself to sleep because she misses you so much.

Quasarblast smiles tearfully as he hugs MAX. AISHA is even touched by this moment.

AISHA: Aw, that is so sweet.

Quasarblast then looks at the sky with determination

Korvo Solar-Opposites/Quasarblast: Guys! I don’t know about you! But, we got some ass to kick!

Trevor: That’s great news! Nighthowler told us you needed our help!

Korvo Solar-Opposites/Quasarblast: Nighthowler?

Sonya points to herself. Quasarblast gasps but then smiles tearfully.

Korvo Solar-Opposites/Quasarblast: You? Nighthowler! Oh honey, I am so proud of you!

Nighthowler giggles. Then, Quasarblast hugs his daughter while Mighty Pupa and Vil-Gil-An-T hugs their sister. Starburst also join in on the hug

Meanwhile with Terry and Jesse…

Monica Miller: Did you find any way to escape?

Stacy G hears what’s going on and runs down there as she overhears the conversation.

Terry Solar-Opposites: Ugh. No! Oh my Korvy...he must be so worried about me.

Jesse Solar-Opposites: Not yet. But we have to get out of here?

Cherie: looks at the unconscious prisoners They might not make it that long.

Kevin’s Daughter: Quasarblast will come and save us. Right?

Terry looks down as a tear runs down his cheek. He then snaps as punches the wall.

Terry Solar-Opposites: That does it! Guys, we’re get the fuck out of here right now! But, first we need a plan! suddenly hears Stacy G grunting as she tries to break through the wall

Jesse Solar-Opposites: Stacy G?

Stacy G: Hold on! I'm getting you outta there!

this scene is about to emotional. It’s a reference to when Ember cries and tells Wade she loves him before he evaporates in Elemental

Jesse Solar-Opposites: Stacy G! You can’t! You’ll get captured!

Stacy G: But you will get killed! I-I don’t know what to do!

Jesse Solar-Opposites: Stacy G! It’s gonna be okay!

Stacy G: NO! voice breaking IT’S NOT OKAY!

Terry gasps. Jesse goes up and smiles and goes up and holds Stacy G’s hand.

Jesse Solar-Opposites: Stacy G… I have no fucked up regrets… you gave me something Shlorpians search for their whole lives.

Stacy G: But I can’t fucking exist in a world without you! begins crying I’m sorry I didn’t say it before! weeps I love you Jessica Wearspreada Solar-Opposites…

Stacy G starts sobbing. Jesse is touched as she smiles and then notices Stacy G’s eyes shimmering with the color of glittery magenta thanks to a candle light.

Jesse Solar-Opposites: I really love it when your eyes do that in the light…

Jesse and Stacy G then leans over and finally kiss for the first time in their lives. Terry smile in tears, knowing that his daughter is all grown up and has found love. Monica smiles in tears of happiness over her best friend finally finding love for the first time. Jesse giggles

Meanwhile…

Maverick: Administrate the poison.

Bullet bends the poison, splitting it into four portions and attaches a portion to each limb. He metalbends, causing the poison to diffuse into Qourra’s skin. Throughout the administration, Qourra screams in agony and her eyes begin to glow momentarily.

Bullet: Wait! What hasn’t she enter the state yet?! And how are our new test subjects?!

Maverick: Give it Time! It won’t stay long.

Godwyn and Fortissax fucked + I have an idea WHY Godrick's genes are so weak (his closest relatives' too)

Short post but I really like this topic hfhfdsf Okay so I double-checked the description of Draconian Tarnisheds and Godrick's dialogue, and:

The notion about Tarnisheds with dragonic roots having shorter lifespans makes me think that this is the reason; dragons and human(oids) are not the best mix! Godrick's closest ancestors might have had actual connections with dragons! Since it IS possible:

Dragons can shapeshift, so yeah.. existence of dragonian Tarnisheds likely implies that Godwyn and Fortissax fucked fsdhfdhs I assume her not just because of them being close, but also because she is unique amongst Ancient Dragons in being dark-colored and these Tarnished have coal skin,

At first I wondered if Fortissax' color might have been an effect of corruption, but then, again: if all Ancient Dragons are just stone grey, Draconic Tarnisheds could have had stone grey skin then because whatever connection made Draconic people had to happen before Godwyn became Prince of Death! Her corruption should then be referring to her losing a lot of her skin, with so much more gold insides showing through, and dark skin of this type of Tarnished revealing her actual color! (+ also post ( x ) on WHY I believe Fortissax is a she)

As for Godrick's and his close relatives and ancestors like Godefroy! Whereas Ancient Dragons refers to the rocky dragons from Farum Azula, there is another kind of dragons - feathered Greyoll's kind of dragons!

I used one of the babies around Greyoll and Agheel as volunteers, but you can see the dragon's body Godrick uses is certainly the same type of the dragon! Again, wings of Ancient Dragons for comparison, are also rocky and lack the feathers:

This makes sense that the branch of dragons Godrick is apparently related to is that of Greyoll's! We never see him use anything bolt-like, however, he does use wind-based attacks, like the rest of the Stormveil. His children do so too!

^ Worth to mention that Dragon Communion has connection with Godfrey (lion face is his mark), but the dragons laying in these churches are the Ancient types! These might be remnants of war with Gransax and others, since they did try to "defeat dragons by becoming them" as set of Dragonic Sentinels suggests! @fantomette22 offered another idea that maybe these Ancient Dragons instead were 'keepers' of these churches, and somehow had conflict with Greyoll's line of dragons. So, these churches came after Godwyn made peace between Ancient Dragons and Golden Order, and people were supposed to specifically consume hearts of Greyoll's dragons, not Ancient!

I don't know which idea I am leaning towards more, but I wanted to bring the Dragon Communion up just in case! Still, Godrick calls the dragon a relative and shows frail health, whereas act of eating dragon hearts gives you serpentine's eyes and makes you into a wyrm (most likely gradually lol). None is seen on him or his children, so I assume relation refers to mixing blood, not to the act of him or his ancestors consuming the hearts! In other words, if Ancient Dragons could turn into humanoids and have children (+descendants like Draconic Tarnished), maybe Greyoll's type could do this as well? 🤔

@val-of-the-north on the other hand, suggested an idea that rather than Greyoll's type of dragons being directly involved, it is all the same kind of genes of Ancient Dragons but having "evolved" into being like Greyoll's type! So, like her kind of dragons are more 'earthly' type, that evolved from Ancient Dragons straying further from perfection and divinity but instead adapting to whatever effects them (looking at you, Dark Souls!), similarly Ancient Dragon genes IN Golden Lineage changed too. And in roughly the same from-stone-to-feather manner, to mirror evolution (or corruption?) of the dragons themselves! I think this idea is very good in terms of how Fromsoft can't have enough of reusing the concepts!

^ Grafted Scions are also showing grey hair, despite being very young! It is not all grey yet and original color is likely black; same as hair of wandering nobles, which would make sense for whatever women Godrick slept with apparently to be noble too. Early grey hair could be manifestation of this poor health and shortened lifespan! Maybe humans with dragon blood in mix die early because they age early, but for Demigods it is just early aging.

(Video by Zullie the Witch ( x )) ^ At this rate I wonder whether these wings and feathers were actually grafted though, of they are sort of a side-effect of this "heritage" xd Like, sure, Stormveil is very much associated with the hawks, but modern Dragons ALSO having feathers makes me wonder! Especially since Godrick himself doesn't have any wings and feathers grafted on him, but the Noble Scions do.. Imagine feathers just showing on them because they are young, and maybe Godrick also used to grow feathers but they fell out by now due to simply his age!

Conclusion: don't have children with the dragons while Godfrey isn't looking or something they will turn out kinda sick and frail idk

Yes, this is a transparent and blatant attempt to pspspsps my fellow fans of Critical Role into watching this series. The first season is airing now on Netflix as of May 31st. They picked it up after Max did not renew it for a second season, and will decide based on the reception now whether to continue - so I am hoping that lots of people discover the show and love it! The animation studio is Titmouse, who also produces The Legend of Vox Machina.

It's like a Miyazaki-esque Annihilation. Cosmic horror and cosmic wonder in equal and necessary parts. If you like the funky biology parts of Candela Obscura, give this a shot. There is horror. There is humanity. There is hope and connection. There are creatures of all shapes and sizes, including a wonderful amount of tiny idiots, which I have made many compilation posts about. It's a setting where you can envision David Attenborough peacefully narrating a nature documentary about it, but be horrified the same time. Just an absolutely incredible show.
